they only serve fish waiter assulted my dog and ate it. the fish looked inbred. they have no chairs. they serve day old food.

Staff were charming, genuinely encouraging us to comment on what we had received. The food was delicious as usual. I've eaten at Indian restaurants for more than 40 years all over the UK. I'd rate Curry Kitchen as above average for quality & taste. Having eaten there many times, they've only slipped below their high standards a couple of times, and when it happened, they were keen to sort it out. The ambience isn't as good as some. But if you rate food & service as most important, this is the place to go. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. My mouth is watering, just thinking about their dishes.

Delivery was very late. When it came, the paper bag was covered in oil that had leaked from the curry. There was layer of oil on top of each dish 🤢 We complained and they said there was nothing wrong with the food. The vegan chicken option was poor and the curry didn't have any vegetables.

Decided to try Curry Kitchen again and did not Disappoint. I had ordered the Chicken shaslik and it was excellent—tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The service was fast and friendly, with staff attentive to every detail. Great experience all around. Highly recommend!

The food arrived 20 minutes late and everything was literally dripping in oil. The bag was soaked in oil as was all of the packaging and there was a layer of oil on top of all the food. I couldn’t touch anything without getting covered in it. The onion bhajis came out of the bag dripping with excess oil. This is disgusting and should never have been sent out! I reached out to the restaurant via live chat on their app and they refused to do anything to resolve the matter which is awful customer service. I would expect a takeaway to have some level of oil but this made the food inedible. Having tried some of the curry sauces I can say that they were poor quality and did not taste restaurant standard. The curries also came with no vegetables in them. I would never order from here again and do not recommend.

Good food and nice choice of veggie options. There was no real tracking though. The delivery estimate is different from before you order to after you order but it did come on time.

The 3rd time we have ordered from curry kitchen and I can’t not leave a review the food is outstanding absolutely highly recommend.

Awful. Over 1 1/2 hrs. Ap said out for delivery yet it took a further 36 minutes to deliver. We are 2 minutes away on a straight road. Called to chase to be told stuck in traffic. Yeah right!

More than one hour late! Terrible service so disappointed and HUNGRY

2 hours for food to be delivered. When it did arrive the cocky delivery numpty asked “been waiting long?” He knew we had. Food was cold and disgusting. Won’t order again. Avoid if I were you. Any good reviews must be written by themselves.

Absolutely delicious and perfect. Onion Bhaji fabulous. Vegetable Byriani the best, Sag Paneer just brilliant. Can't recommend this restaurant more. Trying with the thought to eat out. All I can say is, 'See you soon.'

Ordered a vegetable curry and got lots of sauce a half a boiled spud, about 10 peas and 2 bits of carrot. The sauce was delicious but I expected more veggies! Also ordered a can of coke and was given a glass of flat coke. Service was good but we were the only ones there! 2nd disappointing meal. Will not use again.

I came here a few nights ago with my friends. One of them was new to Indian cuisine, and the staff assisting with orders was incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain some menu items. The staff are always friendly and the food is always appetising. Whenever I have a craving for some curry, this is my go to☺️.

The food is OK but the delivery times for a takeaway are appalling. They quote 50mins for delivery, but it is regularly 1/2hour to an hour late. This has happened a few times now and I won’t be ordering from them again.

Edit - just tried this place again a year later and I'm afraid I wasn't too impressed. The curries lacked any deep flavours and were seemingly unseasoned. Delivery also took one jour and forty minutes. Ordered a takeaway from here and overall not bad. The presentation was very nice, with printed labels on the boxes. Impressed: - Chicken Tikka Masala and Murug Khurchan were both very enjoyable - they were hot, well spiced and flavoursome - Tarka Dall was extremely nice - it's something I get every time I have a curry and the quality differs hugely from place to place. This was definitely one of the better ones I've had! Disappointed: - The starters (Chicken Tikka and Lamb Tikka) were both quite dry and very plain - no onions etc. in the boxes. Only one salad was given which had to be shared. I find generally starters are always better when you eat in! - Onion salad was the smallest pot and not enough for even one person Overall I think it was ever so slightly over priced for what we received. Perhaps it's a better experience eating in! Certainly not the worst curry in East G - although perhaps not the absolute best.

Had a delivery, was 30 mins later than they said, had to call to find where it was and when it arrived unfortunately the hottest and best part was the naan bread…

Very poor. Late delivery. Not what we ordered. Sub standard. I wanted to give them feedback over the phone but no one is answering. Won’t use again. .

This is the curry house of all curry houses!! Delicious hot fresh tasty food! Great prices big portions! I recommend definitely!!!!

Probably the best curry we have had in East Grinstead in 42 years. Well done Curry Kitchen… speed up the delivery service if you can… but, the grub was the best!

We went for a meal out here and the food was amazing. Very flavour filled, asked the waiter who took our order for something that has a bit of a kick to it. I’m usually a madras kind of guy. He delivered, not too sure about the name of the dish but it was a good surprise! Will definitely be returning.

Located on the London Road, a few minutes walk from the town centre. There is a car park opposite and you are a few minutes walk from the railway station. There is no alcohol licence here so take your own wine or beer. Soft drinks and coffee are available. The interior is nothing like any Indian restaurant I have visited, being very basic, not well decorated and looking tired. It would definitely benefit from a lick of paint and some attention to detail. I am not sure how many staff there are, as I only saw one waiter who appeared to do everything. He spoke very little, only to take our order and in general left us to it. I did feel the wait for our food and the time to take our order was a little excessive as we were at the time the only group seated in the place. The food was mainly very good, hot, nicely presented and well spiced. The poppadoms had a really greasy taste to them however and they were not great at all. I have no real issues with the main food and I did enjoy it. Not bad value for money, however the dishes do appear to be more expensive than most places, as has been said previously, probably to make up for the lack of alcohol sales. Not a bad visit, but nothing that would inspire me to go back. There is far better available in the area. Rated very good on the main course food only, other than that about average, and poor on interior decor.

Me and my girlfriend decided to go for a curry, so I decided this place. It didn’t disappoint. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, which I appreciated. The food was amazing and the staff in the restaurant were very welcoming.

Lived here for 15 years and this is the best curry around. Honestly delicious.

Ordered extra hot lamb dupiaza and was expecting some fire, was under seasoned and underwhelming with absolutely no heat, vegetable biryani was under seasoned also, perfectly edible but ultimately disappointing

We live in Crawley down, and this has to be far the best curry house around. Food is always tasty, hot when delivered. If our order is running later which it sometimes does due how busy they are. The delivery driver who is ever so polite rings us well in advance to pre-warn us. I can assure if your food is late to your plate, it is definitely 100% worth the wait. I can not express enough how tasty the food is.

DO NOT order from here. Have been waiting 2 hours for delivery. When I called, they told me I had to call the driver who was extremely rude to me. Appalled that I had to call the driver to be honest, not my job to chase. Staff members very rude and unwilling to help. Now I am out of pocket by £30 and still no food!! Disgusting.

Enjoyed a great curry night for a group of 9. Staff were friendly, patient and helpful. Food was delicious, we were all served together with nothing forgotten. I had lamb tikka, which was delicious, and tender. Would recommend.

Tried here soon after it opened & it is now our go to Curry house for getting a takeaway. Food always tastes lovely & fresh & flavoursome.

When we saw it was BYOB we thought it would be nice to eat out instead of getting a takeaway, we’ve done this before at the curry house in forest row and it works out about the same price as staying, just a small service charge. Not what happened here, the curry we ordered would of been about £55/£60 on the takeaway menu, expected an extra 10% service. When we got the bill it was just over £100 for a curry for 4 of us, 4 mains, 2 naans, 1 Rice and 1 sag aloo. absolutely mental. although a lovely curry we won’t be going here again. The eating in menu feels like it has been put up so high to make up for the loss in profit from serving alcohol

We’re delighted to hear Salim open another restaurant in town, I had been going to Nizam since I can remember and now I’m a regular at Curry Kitchen. The Murag Jhull is my favourite, great flavours and taste.

Another great evening at Curry Kitchen. Food was fabulous, great selection, despite being really busy we didn't have to wait long. The service was on point and prices very reasonable.

Had a lovely meal in the restaurant but unfortunatly the take away was not so good.

I came here with my sister last week. The food was delicious. I had a nice spicy vindaloo and my sister a milder hyderabadi. Great poppadoms and extras. All this with the added bonus of bring your own booze which really keeps the cost down. The service was fab too, a lovely Italian lady looking after us. It was really quiet in there and I'm hoping that was just because it was a Tuesday. I will definitely be back soon.

The others I was with enjoyed their food more than I did, as the curry I got was ridiculously spicy to the point where it was inedible (I normally enjoy spicy food but this was a whole new level). This would have been understandable if the menu pointed out that it was so spicy, but it did not (just said spicier than a Dhansak which really doesn’t mean much). The service was really awkward and the Spanish decor inside didn’t really match the cuisine. Really can’t say I’ll rush back

Fantastic small restaurant, very busy for a Wednesday night with really creative food. A cut above your average Indian we have locally.

Ordered from here Friday night. Very impressed with the variety on the menu. Didn’t wait too long for food on a busy Friday night and the food was absolutely incredible. Very fresh and light rice, perfect sauce and perfect meat. Naan bread was also to die for. Can’t wait to order from here again!

Finally a great local Indian restaurant that serves dishes, each with their own character and spices and not all swimming in tomato sauce. Good to see vegetarian and vegan selection too. Keep it up!
