We booked a table last minute and quite late in the evening! The staff was happy to help, friendly and they have all delivered a great customer service. Kudos to the chef for cooking such delicious dishes. Onion baaji were done to perfection, crispy and light. Curry was beautiful and it will take you on a journey of flavours. I must admit we were a bit greedy with ordering the food, but the staff was happy to pack what was left as a take away and now we enjoyed their food on our lazy Sunday !!!! Thank you very much for everything and for delivering such a great food and customer service that late in the evening! Definitely coming back soon xx.

Never disappoints! If we are wanting an Indian, we always try to get it from Curry Inn the last couple of years knowing this place, despite it taking us a 1 hour round trip living on the South Downs just outside Brighton. Originally introduced by family living close by in Hayward’s Heath, lucky them. The quality is amazing, price is very good and overall, one of the best Indians in Sussex. Well worth the drive to collect. Thank you Curry inn 5 stars all round !!

Ordered dinner to collect from here, was able to choose from your typical list of dishes with little out of the ordinary and was ready to collect bang on time. It was also still hot when we got it home which is always a good sign. The Dhansak hit all the right notes and had a great kick to it. The vegetable korma was creamy and the sauce was thick, the vegetables were a bit mushy and the whole affair could have used a sprinkle of freshness. The onion bhajis were crispy and deliciously seasoned, some of the best I’ve had outside of my local. The garlic naan was a bit of an oddity, it was more like a plain naan with garlic butter on top- haven’t seen one served like this before. It was tasty enough but sadly wasn’t either crispy or particularly fluffy inside. Overall I think this is a perfectly fair enough spot for a takeaway if you’re in the area, but not somewhere I’d be rushing back to.

I'm writing this review to warn others about the owner of The Curry Inn. My uncle, who is elderly and not very mobile, used to be a regular customer at this restaurant. He would often dine in or get takeaways, and he was always very generous with his tips. However, he had one bad experience with a takeaway order. My uncle left an honest and frank review on Google Maps, stating that he was disappointed with his experience. The owner of the restaurant called my uncle and aggressively told him that he was banned from attending the restaurant. This is a ridiculous and unfair decision. My uncle is a loyal customer who has been spending his hard-earned money at this restaurant for years. He simply expressed his disappointment with his last experience, and he should not be punished for that. This incident makes a mockery of the review system. Customers should be able to leave honest feedback without fear of reprisal. I would urge anyone considering eating at The Curry Inn to think twice. The owner is clearly unprofessional and vindictive, and you could end up being banned for simply expressing your opinion.

We ate here today ( Mothering Sunday ) and it was such a huge disappointment. We were a table of 6 and the only people eating . The waiter was dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt and his shoes needed a clean , not what you would expect from a restaurant. We all ordered poppadum and chutneys , the dish of chutneys was very small and they charged an extra £1 per person for this ( even though only two of us used the chutney ? ) all of the food was the same colour ( red ) and everything was covered in copious amounts of onion . The king prawn starter was on a stick , it didn’t even resemble a prawn in any way and it was also covered in the same red paste and totally smothered in onions . This was supposed to be a nice Mothering Sunday lunch for my mother but in reality it was awful , I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . The decor is shabby and uninviting . They advertise in their window that they serve a Sunday banquet but that’s not true ....apparently this stopped during lockdown ....so why are they stating that they do a meal deal for a reasonable price when in reality they are charging over the top prices for dreadful food ?

A very odd taste. Like a Chinese curry sort of flavour. Not what I expected. As a Indian food critic I can say that the dhansak I had wasn’t traditional with no sweet and sour taste and very few lentils. Mutter paneer means paneer with peas - mine had no peas at all and was in a very very sweet korma like masala with other mixed veg. Not very nice at all. Naan was good. Sorry guys - poor. We visited Curry Inn as it was participating in the Meerkat Meals promotion, so I didn't expect anything too special from the experience. However, I'm pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised, as the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service is prompt and friendly and the food was good quality and tasty. The actual paper menu had seen better days as it was a bit dog-eared and stained, but we could choose from the full selection (no limited menu as part of the promotion) and the portions were generous. After the poppadoms, we opted for starters of vegetable samosa and lamb kebab, followed by a main course of Macher Jhol for me (which was a really well spiced, flavourful fish curry) with egg rice, plain naan and a side of saag aloo to share. If you've got room for dessert, there are some nice choices on the menu! Curry Inn is good value for money (excellent value if you've got a voucher!) and I'd definitely return!

Maybe now it's opposite the new Waitrose my friends will think again. The manager is from Nepal and his team deliver a few Nepalese specialities as well as offering superb classic Indian cuisine. Having tried a number of takeaways in the area I quickly settled on the Curry Inn as my go-to for Indian food. I have lost count of the number of orders I have made but I can trust that the food is good, tasty and filling, and the delivery drivers courteous. And - this may come as a surprise to some - they do not feel the need to add "fusion" ingredients such as pickled onions or cheddar cheese to make the dishes more interesting - which I've found other local takeaways have a habit of doing. As a sit-in restaurant it is close to the station and good value, and I always feel that we are warmly greeted as guests. I particularly like the Laal Mass lamb dish which is beautifully spicy, and rich and served with roasted chillis.

Where do I start? Ordered a takeaway and it took over an hour and a half to arrive, unsurprisingly, the curry was totally cold. This wasn't the only thing. There were 6 tiny pieces of chicken in one curry and 5 pieces in the other! Barely enough for one person. The sauce was also completely tasteless and watery. We booked a couple of weeks in advance as we were told it would get busy. It was quiet but a Monday night. As there were three of us they just took off the cheapest starter, main and dessert. Food was very good hot, with warmers on the table to keep it hot. Generous portions. Two soft drinks reasonably priced as usually restaurants charge more. Very attentive waiters but one made a couple of mistakes with our order and bill but they rectified this. We ordered pompadoms and they were served with a very small onion dish, a small mint sauce and a small mango sauce. When we got the bill this addition was £1.80! We did not order them but the waiter said they were always served with pompadoms! Now we know this we would go back but be careful what we were ordering and check the bill. A very noisy group of about 14 to 20 people arrived as we were leaving. Glad we were finished as you couldn’t hear yourself think. Could understand if they were near the end of the evening. Never mind not the restaurants fault. Recommend for a quiet meal go early 6.30. Try again in a couple of months.

Nice place and nice food. One dish was not exceptional as too much tomato sauce and lamb very hard so maybe avoid lamb, but the rest were nice 👍🏼 you can bring your own drinks, they don’t serve alcohol. There is a lot of food for 2 people but was great to have the possibility to try different dishes.

The king prawns were more like regular prawns and there were very few considering the cost of the dish. The prawns were also over cooked unfortunately, so they were very tough and dry. The onion bhaji’s, naan and rice were fine.

We had an exceptionally amazing experience here! Making this by far our favorite Indian meal we have been for, I'd say ever! Everything was amazing. We would highly recommend to ANYONE, especially as they offer a high value Wednesday and Sunday deal if your looking for a reasonably priced night out !

First time having takeaway from here tonight after seeing recommendations on local FB page. Did not disappoint! :)
