Amazing high tea, we all enjoyed Brie and Cranberry sandwiches with ours with the added option of having them toasted, a nice touch. Staff were friendly and accommodating, would 100% come back. Thank you Cupcake Cafe!

Lovely little cafe, stopped for lunch with my husband and 2 young children. A nice varied menu with both sandwiches and full main meals. We were served by a lovely young girl who was very attentive and came and asked a number of things about our order and checked with us what size cutlery we wanted for our children - a nice thoughtful touch. We didn't have any but the cupcakes looked lovely!

Popped in for a cream tea lunch. 1 lady (manager) in the kitchen preparing sandwiches etc, 3 other members of staff at front of house, 1 young lady (Izzy, has been there 1 month) and looked like she didn't gave a clue what she had to do. Tables needed clearing and she stood around looking bewildered. Manager than had several go's at the staff in front of customers and again whilst she was in the kitchen shouting and belittling staff whilst customers close to kitchen could hear what was being said. Very inappropriate, several customers were overheard saying how the manager looked and sounded stressed. She should have waited till they closed and asked for a meeting to discuss what she had noticed. I do not believe any member of staff should be spoken to like this when customers are around. Needs to learn manager skills

Stopped for coffee and cake whilst out and about. Friendly staff clean and tidy. Small cafe on the main stretch of road towards beach.

We visited the Cup Cake Cafe on a visit to Paignton, it was such a pity we found the place on the last day of our weeks holiday.  We had a light breakfast, I had bacon and egg sandwiches and Viv had eggs on toast. Both were perfectly cooked and served by a very cheerful cook. The lady taking the orders was so cheerful, even when my partner asked for a milk shake but could not make her mind up which one of 2 she wanted, the server said she would make one with a mixture lol, it was delicious. They say you can always tell how could a cafe is by what is left on the plates when people finish. I did not see anyone leave anything. People travel a few miles once a week just for thier bubble and squeak. Like I said it was such a pity we found this on our last day, but we are back next year and we know where our breakfast will be. Thank you.

This is THE BEST breakfast around at a reasonable price. Well cooked, great variety, served on a hot plate and proper thick slices of toast. Nice friendly obliging staff too. What more is there to like!

We went to this lovely little cafe twice for hot drinks. Staff was very friendly and happy. There had a spacial hot drink borad and first visit i had the chocolate orange hot chocolate husband had black coffee with cold milk to the side. We went bk in the today and i had a carmal Latte and my husband had the same. Again the staff was very happy.

Great café, good food with gluten free options, shout out to the chef (I'm guessing she was possibly the owner) for working so fast & picking up the pace from one of the younger waitresses who seemed to be struggling with the pace but thinking she was probably new. Dog friendly would definitely recommend!

We visited here the first morning of our holiday and the staff were lovely, had two young children with us and we asked for something slightly different to the breakfast menu. And they lady cooking didn’t batter an eyelid. So friendly and understanding. We had two fry ups and they were beautifully cooked. Would definitely visit again.

Large selection of cakes and the ones we had tasted great. The service was excellent and we had a nice chat with one of the café regulars Bob. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return next time we are in Paignton

Delicious cream tea decent size scone plenty cream&jam ,daughter enjoyed chocolate cream tea with Nutella! The sandwich was full of filling with few tortillas and salad but fairly long wait! No aircon so was very hot in cafe! Lovely polite friendly staff look forward to going back again!

We have visited here a number of times, the most recent in September. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Menu is extensive and at good prices. Never had a bad meal or had to wait too long. Always pay a visit when holidaying locally.

We popped in late one afternoon on the off chance Cupcakes would be able to sell us some gluten free scones after searching through most of Devon for them! It was well past closing but we popped our head in and asked if they had any and they were very happy to oblige. We came away with lots of scones and some cake to eat on the beach. The cake was the best we’ve both had in a long while. If we’re in Paignton again we’ll make sure to stop and sample the savouries on offer too. Owner was knowledgeable about those with gluten allergies as well as other intolerances too. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Made a reservation for afternoon tea. Told they closed at 4. Reservation was for 3. Arrived to find the kitchen closed. So could only get scones and a drink although we were starving after being in the sea. I wish they had told me their kitchen was closed and out of most stuff. Complete disappointment for us.

Sadly a bad review from a promising looking cafe. Had a big breakfast and a free drink all for £6.50. Seems a bargain and a very clean fresh looking establishment with good quick service. That’s where the good things end. Breakfast looked lovely and fresh and only a 15 minute wait so no complaints there but, Sausages seemed a poor quality, Bacon far to overcooked, eggs tasted a little peculiar but I’ve put this down to different oil being used, and 3 fried potato slices ? Not sure what that’s all about. Beans, mushroom and thick brown toast were all delicious but overall left feeling very disappointed. Won’t be returning and the 2 stars are awarded for the service and NOT the poor food served.

I came into your café a week ago last Tuesday where we found your Cupcake shop and we sat outside where it was not that warm but nice enough to sit out with my Husband and Mother In Law whilst we were on Holiday in Teignmouth.i had a tuna and mayo sandwich on white, my husband had a ham sandwich on brown and my Mother In Law had a jacket potato with butter with two coffees and tow cans of coke. the sandwiches arrived and what a sandwich a doorstop which was very nice with salad garnish and a handful of crisps, however, i enjoyed the sandwiches and salad but i had to leave the crisps which i didn't know they were on the plate with the sandwiches which i would of asked to be left off as i couldn't have them due to health reason. The coffee was lovely hot and smooth with good service, friendly staff and rather helpful too. i was a bit disappointed to find the toilets downstairs but maybe you had no room for a disabled toilet in your café due to it being small. I was very impressed with your protective masks and other things you had on with the facilities which was clean at all times.I did enjoy my visit to your place and will recommend it to regulars in Paignton as well as people coming for a holiday to South Devon. We will be back soon for another nice lunch with you and your team at Cupcakes.

Never has to write a comment before in any restaurante or bar but I have to do it , waitress where really rude coming at all the times if the money of the bill was in the table also looking angry no even a smile also looking very stressful with 2 tables was sunday 6 october at 7:00oclok !so I orther a coca cola till wait the pizza she bring the cocacola Half on a glass and half on a can ,as I know and most the restaurant and bars do is open the drink on the table in fron the customer ! Well the pizza is arrive 23,70 £ two pizzas really small 9inch with only extra onions the onions wasnt cook in the oven Even got a picture of it and also NO WIFI ! , im so disappointment

What a gem of a place..stopped for coffee once and went back two more times. They serve a Soya Latte that was lovely and hot, also a lovely DAIRY FREE Victoria Sponge not many places have dairy free cakes everything seems to be gluten free so this made a lovely change. My Husband loved the hugh Rock cakes that were home made all this was "naughty but nice" oh well we were on holiday! On our last day we had our breakfast there that was all freshly cooked with a lovely chunk of thick bread again they had a dairy free spread for me..fantastic. All the staff were lovely too.

Visited whilst on holiday for a cream tea as we saw the huge cherry and almond scones in the window. Friendly and fast service. The scones were lovely, especially the cherry and almond ones. Will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Stopped in to get some gluten free cupcakes and brownies today as read good reviews. I was so excited to get gf cake and brownies although not cheap they looked good. Unfortunately the cake was stale and had no taste without the strawberry buttercream if that’s what it was. Th brownies were hard and again stale. Not something I expected from a cupcake place. Wouldn’t go back again

Went in for lunch, was able to get a great salad with no oily dressing. All freshly made up, my husband meal was excellent. Well cooked and well presented. They cater for Gluten intolerance and Vegan meals, for the first time ever I was able to get a diabetic dessert. Very impressed. The staff were very friendly and they also do a breakfast meal for Slimming World members.
