Crown Grill in Harrogate

16 of us stayed 3 nights, dinner, bed and breakfast. Amazing hotel, food in abundance and exceptional both dinner and breakfast. Staff couldn’t do enough. Highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful area too.

Excellent service; great hand-made cocktails; delicious dinners of lamb and fish 'n chips; lovely dining room setting.

Been many times before thought it was a safe bet..went to the bar where we were initially ignored. After asking if the did sandwiches the reply was "last time I looked" Would have walked out but it was raining so we stayed. We were treated to small grossly overpriced sandwiches and expensive beer. Most people the time there was no staff, potential customers came and left..I eventually had to go hunting for a member of staff so I could pay. Will not be returning, being treated with indifference is one thing, being fleeced another

They charged extra for being mothers day though wasn't told when we booked same food the portions were very small and the seasonal veg was just cabbage charged an automatic tip aswell tho I felt robbed 40 pound for what you could get better in the Toby for £8.50

Excellent Steaks that good we had them the following night and to make it even better we had them Tuesday and Wednesday in August with the government 50% off food deal.

We have had a drink here before but decided to have dinner here on the Eat Out to Help Out evening last week. A little haphazard with finding where we should go to the restaurant within the hotel but were seated quickly and it was good it see it was busy. They have a good varied menu and we decided on the soup and halloumi fries and dip for starters and the salmon and sausages and mash for mains. The food was delicious and the service good. When asking where we pay we were told to go to the bar. instead of paying at the table or in the restaurant itself. A little confusing when other places we have been to recently are not letting anyone near their bar for health and Safety protocols.

We visited here for lunch. On arrival the bar/restaurant was empty and we needed to contact the hotel receptionist to indicate that we had arrived. She immediately provided some menus and took an order for drinks. Another member of staff served the drinks and took our food orders. The food was very good in quality and quantity but during our meal we observed two potential customers arrive and leave without ordering due to lack of staff attention. The person that served us was friendly enough but I had to locate them to obtain and again to pay the bill. These circumstances would not encourage us to return and must surely result in lost business

We had a really nice stay at the hotel. It is an old coaching house so isn't a modern bed factory but it had character and charm. The staff were really friendly and the food was very good.....especially the breakfast! Highly recommended!

The meal was OK, couldn't really fault it except we like more meat. It was just lacking anything that would make us go back again.

Charming hotel, friendly staff, good food, parts quite old, has lots of local history, shame about the vibrations when the heavy lorries went past, can't be helped with it being on a main road.

Olde Worlde coaching inn. We went there to watch grandchild's swimming lesson. Impressed with Leisure/ pool area. Lunch afterwards was fine. Service a little slow, however the food was good. Chips pale, but steak sandwich was tasty. Would certainly lunch here again.

An evening meal whilst staying at the hotel. Very good choice on menu. Well cooked and presented. Staff very efficient and helpful. Reasonably priced wine.

Thank you for a really enjoyable and tasty Sunday lunch. We ate in the Restaurant which is very welcoming and inviting.The starters were very good, the main course was so tasty with homemade Yorkshire puddings!!This was followed by homemade Pavlova with fresh raspberries, could not ask for better.All went very well with the bottle of red wine, which just finished off a very good afternoon at the Crown Grill.The team were great they recommended food, wine and also said about local produce and the food which is made at the Hotel.We will be back for the recommended afternoon tea homemade cakes and scones - Yes please!!Highly recommended

I had been to the Crown Hotel before for a business meeting and always thought it was a superb place with such welcoming staff, I had not had the pleasure of trying the food before though. We booked a table for 8 people. The girls on reception are always so personable, which is truly pleasant. We were shown to our table and ordered our drinks which came almost immediately even though the restuarant was busy. The food was also brought out promptly. Our group thought the food was fantastic! It is sometimes difficult to find a place to eat where everyone in the group is satisfied with the menu and of course the standard of food and service. For us, The Crown is one of those places. My friends and I will return when we are back in the area and perhaps this time we will book some rooms and enjoy the pool too. To all staff at The Crown, you are a credit to the hospitality industry.

We were booked on a 2 breakfasts and 1 evening meal basis. Breakfasts were excellent with real good service. The food for the evening meal was as good as I’ve had in any hotel. I had the beef medallions in peeper sauce and would certainly recommend it. Good choice of desserts and wine too. Nothing was a problem for the staff. On our second evening I had a very good bar meal at the same hotel.

Dropped into the Crown Grill had a great meal in the bar. The menu had everything from a light snack to a full meal.I had the gammon which came with delicious chips, egg and a side salad. With a large G&T from their local selectionGreat friendly service - Will be back
