I went along to the cross keys last night with my wife and a few friends. The atmosphere was electric. There was a live singer and lots of people there. The landlady at the cross keys is a really friendly, approachable and she made sure all her patrons were happy and well taken care of. I would go back again based solely on her. Thank you CrossKeys for a lovely evening. Fun for the all the family the kids loved the park area. Felt very safe with social distancing guidelines.

Harveys beer was excellent likewise eton mess but main course, of course many think crunchy vegetables are better than cooked softer. We are over 70 and we just couldn't eat the vegetables, but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were lovely. Then when we came to pay there was just a till total. We had to ask for breakdown. We had been charged for a bottle of wine not the glass, so initially we had been overcharged by £11. Something wrong complete lack of staff training.

Attended family party at cross keys yesterday 28th July 2018, the venue was beautifully decorated, cosy yet spacious, a proper feeling ,from when there were many about, a good few years ago. The conservatory was lovely, the garden safe for all ages of children under a certain amount of supervision from family members. The atmosphere was great and no loud music to drown out conversations with people we met up with after many years. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the food excellent, hot where it was meant to be and cold and fresh where it was meant to be. A must visit for anyone wanting all the above or just a drink in really pleasant surroundings. We will definitely be returning just wish you were our local! A slap rather than a pat on the back for all Cross Keys team, couldn't fault it.

I've been in twice recently after not visiting for several years. I stopped going because the beer was poor and I didn't like the atmosphere. However everything is better. It looks clean and tidy, and importantly, the beer is excellent. I will try the food soon, as it looks appetising. Try the Harvey's or the Longman. The garden is pleasant on a hot day.

We visited the Crosskeys for our daughter's first birthday - we chose it because it had a play area outside and from the pictures on Tripadvisor, it looked like there was a baby play area (except it turned out that the picture was from 2014 so I should have realised it probably wasn't still there!). We ordered some Nachos to share, my husband had the burger stack and I chose fish and chips. The food was exceptional, really tasty and huge portions. My daughter had the cod bites from the child's menu, she isn't usually really interested in food but she really enjoyed this meal and ate lots of it. The staff were very friendly.

Wanting a Sunday lunch after a long walk and finding our first choices full up, we slowly drove home looking for a pub. Passing this one we saw spaces in the carpark and turned back. Oh dear, no wonder there was spaces. The two bar staff were nice enough and the drinks were served quickly but the menu was extremely limited. We didn't want to have to find somewhere else and we'd already got our drinks so took a chance. I ordered a ploughman's, my husband - ham, egg and chips. It took an hour to arrive!! They weren't busy, one other table of 6 or possibly 8 people. The food arrived with an apology that they'd been very busy serving the other table. We'd entered the pub in a cheerful mood but the long wait and very depressing music brought us down, although halfway through our food I was asked if I liked the music, when I said it's a bit depressing, they did change it. The table was so sticky we didn't want to use the cutlery that had been put there for us. My husband's egg was cold, beer was flat but the ham and chips were fine. My ploughman's had far too much plain mild cheddar cheese, wilted salad, a very old pickled onion but the bread was nice. In the ladies there was no tissue and the lock was broken, in the gents no soap. It was nicely decorated for Halloween and the young staff were trying their best but we won't be returning.

The manager even phoned me the day before to work out the best way to seat and serve us. They did this perfectly by serving all the children first and putting us in the conservatory where the children were contained (and away from other diners) but could easily get in to the garden. The facilities for children are the best I've experienced in Tunbridge Wells. The garden has a large and small climbing frame/slide and is completely enclosed, with facilities available from toddlers up. It's definitely worth a visit if you love to experience live, quality music. So far the owner has managed to keep it free of charge, which I think is great, but he does need our support. I ate here twice, on consecutive days, earlier this week when heading to the pub in the snow seemed like the right thing to do! And the fact that I went back must speak for itself!Sunday lunch was great. Good food, plenty of it and very reasonably priced. The mulled fruit crumble and homemade ice cream was a lovely dessert. Recommend to book as normally (i.e. not when everyone is housebound due to the snow) it's very popular we were told. Harvey's on draft and a lovely bottle of Argentinian Malbec - excellent.Went back for lunch the next day, Monday. Almost deserted but I guess Monday lunchtimes in January in the snow are never going to be particularly popular! A lovely, rich, slow cooked steak and mushroom stew for lunch- definitely recommend it.The staff are friendly and service good, nothing's too much trouble. The place is clean and the loos get full marks too! I hope it was quiet just because of the weather, it'd be a great shame if the place was struggling due to lack of custom. They have a regular amount of live music, including a jazz jam night and other, not so run of the mill stuff. Which after my experiences this week deserve checking out.Well worth a visit, whether to eat or just have a drink.

Reluctant to go to this pub although it has been refurbished, from the outside it looks rather stark some window dressing would help to give a warmer first impression! We chose a selection of 9 tapas between the four of us . The whitebate was gorgeous with its chilli flavour, the roasted vegetables were really tasty, the chorizo was in a really thick spicy sauce, the selection of breads went really well with everything. The smoked fish was good although it didn't go very well with the rest of the food - it was chilled ( we were warned that it was cold so it was our mistake) Delighted that they had Symonds draught cider and some good wines. I will go back for a full meal soon as the food was really good.

Just ate at this newly refurbished gastro pub and must say that I thought the food was fantastic and for a very reasonable price. Try the fish cakes and Pork belly it's amazing. I believe they have a jazz night on Thursdays. It was very quiet though, but presumably because the trade is being built up. Good ales and beers on tap.

We tried the new Clocktower Bistro expecting mediocre food. We were pleasantly surprised at the service (very busy) and delighted with our lunch, a creamy jacket potato with cheese and home made cole

Var en tur i Calverley Grounds for en gåtur og da der kom en regn byge valgte vi at gå ind i denne lille hyggelig cafe. Her er servering både inde og ude. Hyggelig typisk engelsk. Flinke unge som var

A very scenic location with friendly and helpful staff. I popped in for a catch up with friends and a bite to eat and enjoyed all that the cafe had to offer. The staff were all extremely welcoming and

Lovely venue and friendly staff. But £17+ for frozen fish and frozen chips that could have been bought at Lidls for a tenth of the price didn't Impress me.
