Me and my husband came in on Saturday and we were amazed at how friendly the staff was and how cheap and lovely the food was . My husband had a full English and a cup of tea and I had a toasted tea cake with a lovely frothy coffee my husband said the breakfast was delicious and spot on. The young woman who served us was so polite , very kind and very helpful and the young gentleman who was clearing the table was also very friendly and kind and so was the lady behind the counter. Over all if you are in Whitby make sure you stop by because it’s worth every penny definitely would come back (ps if any of the staff see this I did put a review on google as well but for some reason it was taken off ❤️)

Wow this is the worst place I have ever visited in my life! We ordered a simple 4 butties (2 plain, 2 with sauce) we got sauce on them all. This was returned back to the kitchen to come out wrong again, both lads were sorry and returned to the kitchen to get corrected. Finally a rude obnoxious woman, who I believe to be the owner came out and said is that right now??! Insinuating it was our fault. I said yes thankyou, but this was quite a simple request and she spouted her mouth off. I said that was very rude and if I hadn’t of had my 80 year old mother and children with she would have got a few home truths. Disgusting - manners cost nothing. I’m guessing from looking at your other responses you’ll remember me! Abit of constructive criticism would be to put sauce on the table and sugar/milk so people can do there own avoiding simple mistakes, also maybe a customer service / anger management course. Oh and the other review was right - bacon tasteless and very fatty, hence me leaving mine.

A lovely little coffee shop, served a lovely coffee, food was fresh. Lovely options of cakes on display. I think the only thing that was missing was music in the back ground it was a little awkward when sat inside, quiet but I think music would make a difference.

Me my partner and two of our family went to Creations for a drink and a snack recently. When we entered the cafe we sat at a table in the window. The person behind the counter barked at us saying you'll be better sat here. pointing to a table at the back of the cafe. I said no it's ok we are happy here. She muttered something under her breath. A young waitress came over with some menus. A short time after that the person who i am presuming either owns or runs the place came round to the doorway to the cafe to head off some potential customers and sent them packing!!! having just witnessed her appalling behaviour and total lack of any customer service we left. I wonder why such a person would run a cafe when they clearly would be much happier scaring people at the Dracula experience.

At 11.30 too early for lunch but in need of a drink, we were told we could only come in if we had food. We agreed and all five of us ordered a drink and something to eat. By the time our order arrived all the other tables were empty, with the unwelcome rope across the door, other people were turned away. Whilst we ate the older lady washed up clanging and banging and making so much noise a brass band would not have been heard. We were then asked to pay the bill as she was closing! All food and drinks were quiet good, the women just put us off. The young girl was very pleasant.

Would advise to avoid at all cost, having left my husband to place our order, whilst I used the facilities,heWas ridiculed, laughed at , verbally abused by the owner/staff,due to his educational disability, when I rejoined him he told her how rude she had been ,and told her not to process our order,to which she then accused me of just coming in to use the toilet ,not wanting to be beholden to her I paid £1 for the use of the said facility,we then left and visited our regular cafe,a little later whilst walking by the server from Connections started to laugh at us,my husband then informed her that we had enjoyed our tea and cake at our usual cafe and I then explained why my husband had been so distressed ,and was astonished at her choice of words, but not surprised, nor for the lack of any apology ,perhaps someone in local authority ought to state that discrimination against any form of disability is an offence

We had tea so can’t comment on the food other than everything was really basic. What did stand out though was the totally miserable woman who basically barked questions when taking the order and could hear her teetering on the edge of rudeness with everyone there. Never said a nice word, never said thanks, never tried to smile, her face would probably break. The tea was nice.

A chance visit when passing was worthwhile with a lovely host.Cafe: small cafe decorated tastefully and appeared clean and tidy. Welcomes children (highchair was clean and in good order) and a range of toys available.Food: I went for the sausage/egg bap which was to a good standard (bap was huge) and cooked to order.Staff: genuinely lovely, couldn't do enough for us and extremely helpful/accommodating with our infant. Summary: a lovely little cafe with nice food and lovely staff. Pleased to be able to support an independent cafe over a heartless chain that normally occupies a high street.

I visited this wee gem when on holiday in Whitby with my parents and daughters. Not the best lunch I've ever had, but tasty, exceptional value and the warm atmosphere meant we stayed much longer than we intended. There's a small play area which is always an extra bonus, and the owner was incredibly friendly. Both members of staff anticipated our needs and were the epitome of hospitality. Rocky road was delicious. Another bonus was that it was much more spacious than the majority of cafes in Whitby.Thank you!

My wife and I had stayed at a pub which offered just a room but no breakfast. No problem as we could have a coffee and a sandwich somewhere. Well, this was a fabulous 'somewhere'. The lady serving us was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a tea, a coffee, a bacon and tomato sandwich and a plain bacon with brown sauce. Did she make sure she had got it right? Too right she did. She checked before bringing the sandwiches to our table. The sandwiches were served with a smile. They were so well prepared and so tasty. But... they were so big! Fantastic value for money. This is one of those half hidden little gems. I do not know the lady who owns this place but she can cook mine and my wife's breakfast anytime! I really do not know what some of the negative contributors expect! This was basic priced food at a bigger priced standard. And the fun jokes adorning the walls are a joy! Thank you. we will be back!

I tried here for breakfast on my own whilst my partner was working in the area. I received a nice welcome and was served quickly. It isn't a big place but this is what I like - about 6 tables with a couple in the windows, which is always nice to watch the world go by. I ordered a cooked breakfast and tea, which was very nice and reasonably priced. On leaving I asked for directions to the Abbey and was given plenty of information, which was nice to know they had time to help as always good to ask the locals. I would certainly visit again when in the area.

We called in for coffee and cake while in Whitby for the day, alarm bells perhaps should have rung as it was totally empty! Not sure what the 'sports bar' reference in one of the other reviews is all about, it's not a bar and has nothing to do with sports. It does however have lots of 'inspiring' quotes and quirky pictures around the walls, sadly the food and drink wasn't at all inspiring. My friend asked for coffee, and my husband ordered a cappuccino, but was told that it wasn't available as the coffee machine was broken. Only instant coffee then - my husband settled for that, but my friend and I went for tea instead. We asked if toasted teacakes were available (they didn't feature on the menu), and was told they were, and would we like jam or 'just margarine'? We asked if butter was available but apparently not. Was the 'margarine' Flora? The waitress had no idea and didn't offer to find out. We didn't order teacakes. I had a fruit flapjack, which was extremely dry. The teas were served in mugs, with the milk already in. The sugar dispenser was the kind that dispenses a spoonful at a time, very retro and not great if you want half a spoonful! Another couple came in while we were there and asked what kind of milk was available, the waitress wasn't sure but thought it was probably semi-skimmed. She wasn't unfriendly, just clueless. Perhaps they were just having a bad day, but I certainly wouldn't go back there.

After reading the previous review which said the owner cannot do enough for you I though I would put it to a test. I ordered a sausage, runny egg, melted cheese and mushrooms with brown sauce on a bun and my wife ordered beans on toast. With a couple hangover cans of coke. Unfortunately, sitting in the furthest table from the kitchen it still smelt of kitchen smells. Decent extractor fan needed if you are serving breakfast. The breakfast was near perfect except the egg was not runny as requested. Sausages were tasty and cheese was completely melted. The place is dog friendly which is a big plus for me and the decor is well done. There is a funny good wife guide for the fifties which my wife found hilarious. Will definitely visit again.
