Bit out of the way but well worth a visit, lovely views, cafe and deli type place. Great service and food. The steak pie was a favourite choice.

Absolutely fantastic cafe. Lovely food, really good menu of food and drinks selection. Staff were incredible, really tentative, professional and helpful. Farm shop looked brilliant as well. Dog friendly, which was a main reason for choosing this place for lunch. Would absolutely recommend.

Perfect breakfast choices and a great farm shop, stunningly situated on the Cragg Vale tops. The fact that the legendary Vocation brewery is alongside adds to the appeal - a good selection of beers is available in the shop.

A wide variety of top quality products.

Service was quick. The food was very nice with good-sized portions. There's also a small farm shop with a variety of products at good prices.

I wish I could write a review every visit. Instead I have to just edit. We tried the Sunday Roast: Wooooowieeeee a Chef that can produce a Sunday dinner that doesn’t taste or look mass produced! It was PERFECT 👌🏾 What can I say other than PERFECT. FYI, today we came with our daughter & daughter in law & their 4 legged sausage. We had talked so much apparently about our last visit that we had to have the Roast Beef dinner again! Well yet again OUTSTANDING! The cafe staff always make us feel welcome 🙏🏾 we really appreciate everyone’s seamless efforts. Great farm shop 😀. All the staff are so lovely with everyone's dogs. Thank you for making a lovely walk around Battings Dam even more special with fantastic atmosphere food and great company. Don’t forget to nip into the shop for some Christmas treats gifts foods etc.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch at Craggies.The Russian waitress welcomed us very warmly and provided an extremely efficient and helpful service throughout the meal.The way in which she carried out her duties was,in our opinion,quite exceptional.The food was excellent and the "ambience" in the restaurant was very good.The service provided by the staff in the shop was also good.The products were of a decent quality and reasonably priced.Craggies is situated in a very picturesque and striking moorland setting.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Good quality produce a bit pricey but nice for a treat. Sat on top of the world but a beautiful drive on a sunny day

Excellent bacon sandwich. Lovely clean place and excellent produce with very friendly staff.

Whilst staying nearby, we dropped in here multiple times for fresh foods and deli items. We weren’t disappointed in any of the many items that we bought including breads, fresh meat, prepared dinners, pasties, samosas etc. We did come in to try the café one day but it was the weekend and they were super busy and it seemed super noisy, so we and so can’t comment on that. Shop staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Recommended

The most amazing home baked currant scone with butter and a cappuccino that was out of this world, served with love and care. What an amazing and uplifting experience on a blustery autumn day. So refreshing. Thank you Craggies for making me so welcome today. I will be back! Sorry i'd already been at the chocolate sprinkles before taking the picture. Delicious!

Lunch mid bike ride. Fish and Chips, Burger and Chips and Steak pie all as good as anything you get in Hebden Bridge. Simple food cooked really really well. Staff lovely and pretty reasonable too. Loved it and will come back.

Very popular farm shop and cafe. Enjoyed the all day breakfast.

We've only just come across craggies.....but everything up to now that we have had from there has been top notch....the steak pie is too die for....as is the lasagne,homemade pate,cheese and onion pie and we've also had chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese with daphunoise potatoes .....we have to travel a long way to it but it's worth the journey.

They're very friendly service and make you feel special

Unfortunately the food was mediocre. Fish n chips ordered and it came with wedges (skin on) and fish batter was over done. Bagett was dry (not buttered). £10.95 with no fries. Sorry but won't be coming again 😔. The staff where lovely 😍

Had a lovely soup and chunky chips today, my husband had poached eggs, which he said were the best he had ever had. Even our dog Penny had a great time, given a Doggy biscuit and bowl of water. The waitress who served us was amazing, very friendly and professional, sadly didn't get her name but, her service was amazing, an asset to craggies. Thank you for making our first visit memorable, we will be back and will recommend craggies to all our friends and family.

This is a great little find on the hills above Cragg Vale. Excellnt presented farm shop and restaurant. All full of local provisions, including butchery. The drinks and food are fantastic. The staff are friendly warm and welcoming. Well worth the trip up the long gradient in the England.

First visit here and I must say I enjoyed every mouthful and the service 1st class from the female who came from Russia, she was lovely. After the meal we went to look in the shop and it all went downhill, wish we hadn’t bothered. The man in there wearing glasses and gel on his hair was ‘bloody rude’. I wish I’d told him not to bother and walked out. He was also rude to the friend I went with. Spoiled an otherwise pleasant experience. Get rid of him

Lovely lunch extremely nice young waitress nothing was too much trouble even sang happy birthday to our friend. Pity about the man in the white shirt wandering about the shop needs to have some training on interpersonal skills. We did speak to the owner re him who was very apologetic and said would speak to him. He will not stop us from visiting again but will avoid him if at all possible 😡

First visit on a Saturday at about 2pm, nice and quiet with plenty of tables free. Lots of free parking and great views over the moors. Went for the pork pie and mushy peas from the light bites menu which was amazing! Staff are great, helpful and cheerful. The farm shop is good for a mooch and we were very pleased with the meal deal we purchased.

Lovely place. All day breakfast was great. The sautéed beef cheese melt baguette was unreal. Coffee was nice and strong. Really friendly service from the fantastic staff. Highly recommend…

Moorland views and very good food from this cafe/farm shop high up behind Mytholmroyd. We enjoyed cheese and onion pie with chips and veg (plus pretty thick veggie gravy), followed by coffee/tea and a shared cake. It’s clearly a popular venue as it was busy but the service was great and the staff very pleasant. They do breakfasts and afternoon tea so may well go there again.

Lovely place lovely staff cannot do enough for you. Food lovely and nice choice ..if there is going to be a delay they let you know . It can get very busy and so you might have to wait a little while to get seated.

Had lunch at Craggies today, although it was busy our orders were taken really quickly and the food arrived about 15 minutes later. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff were really attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Morning ride out on the bike. Had a beautiful breakfast at craggies cafe & farm shop the staff are really nice and welcoming. If they is a few of ya would definitely recommend booking a table as it gets really busy. Would definitely go back for a full breakfast as it is one of the best around.

Visited after E bike ride on two occasions meeting other family members. All enjoyed our meals and afterwards visited the farm shop for local sourced food producers.

Nice range of produce in the shop, although, oddly they had bacon from French pigs. I think the other fresh meat was more local though. Cafe was great, very friendly and efficient service, even though they were busy. I had a very nice toasted teacake and my wife enjoyed her cake. The meals other people had looked great, I think we’ll be back for breakfast some time.

As a recently disabled person i found craggies just great . All on one floor, clean toilets, great food and very freindly helpful staff

Absolutely delicious food and drink. The steak pie and bottle of stout were to die for. Visited the farm shop afterwards where a rather dishy guy mentioned that I could buy the steak pie and gravy to take away! Happy days. We will be back.

Herd so many get things about the Cafe here. Unfortunately the customer is was poor. We had a 8 month old cookerpoo. He's a lively guy. He barked twice on entry, and the two staff that were on just moaned about how loud he was, he never barked again the whole time we were there, the place was very quiet as it was a rainy day, no one asked us if the dog wanted a drink of water, and they just continued to gossip about my reaction the comments they made.spoiled the experience for us.....not as dog friendly and you think. We we're going to use the deli after but we felt so unwelcome while we were in the cafe we just left. Food was good. 8 Customer service 0

Lovely produce and good choice on butchery counter. Advice given if required. Bakery goods available and plenty of choice of chutneys, pickles and jam or marmalade. They also sell local beers and choice of wine and ciders. A good selection all round.

For the love of food!! I love the food at Craggies! The staff are awesome, friendly, and happy, the chef is a God - at least they must be cos the food is delish!!! The farm shop is well stocked in the morning but because it's so fab it sells out quite quickly, especially their ready, home made roast dinners - at around £11 each, they are worth EVERY penny. Great for walkers and cyclists - there is a store where bikes can be chained up. Just mindful: It's popular, so it gets busy and sometimes you'll have to wait to be seated There are only 2 toilets - you have been warned If you're looking for a cheap, trucker style cafe, this is NOT for you

Cafe was great. Lovely food with big portions and a specials board. Really attentive staff-was so touched to see them really care for a very old lady who looked to be a regular. Worth the visit for the shop also.

What a friendly experience! The shop and cafe staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The cakes we had were delicious.

Superb cafe. Stylish, comfortable and spacious. Staff friendly, attentive and warm even when busy. The food and drinks were top notch and prices are very reasonable given the quality of ingredients. Delicious. We will happily make the 40min trip to visit again on the regular. A relaxing and enjoyable pit-stop, left feeling very satisfied! Loads of parking, beautiful views and seating outside if you prefer or have 4 legged friends.

We used the online shop for the first time ever, never ever again. Food that needed refrigeration was left on the doorstep for an unknown amount of time on a warm day without any means of keeping it cool. They may have knocked and we didn’t hear or the doorbell may not have worked but I keep coming back to the same question, why did they not call us? frankly makes you wonder about their hygiene standards in general if this is deemed acceptable.

Brilliant farm shop selling fantastic quality stuff and with an excellent cafe attached to make nice drive up Cragg Road even more worth it. You won't be disappointed!

Warm, welcoming, great food, service with a smile

This place is well worth a visit. We went three times in a week!! There is a really lovely cafe adjacent to the shop which is open during the day time and serves a good choice of breakfast / brunch/ lunch dishes. There is also a specials board. The welcome was warm and the service very good. The food was absolutely delicious. Lots of locals were using the place too, many of whom clearly use the place regularly. The shop which is in the same building stocks lots of freshly prepared pies/ quiches/ pizzas/ meals for you to take away and cook later at home. We were spoiled for choice.

Friendly staff and a nice place to visit in the countryside, with a farm shop and cafe, would definitely recommend.

Arrived 17 mins before closure to check the small shop. As soon as we entered we got a cold look and upon asking we got told "we close in 10 mins". Haven't spent more than 7 mins there where one of the staff started to sweep the floor exactly where we were standing. Was obvious sign that we were not welcomed there. Give one extra star for the wide range of local products they have. Wouldn't spend any money here though.

Had the breakfast and on first seeing it thought easy win for me but it got the last laugh, had to leave some on the plate as it should be ,it was all good from black pudding to beans.

We visit the cafe at least once a month , fantastic food and lovely staff . We’ve also had some delicious steaks from the butchers , the cheese and onion pie and Sunday roast from the deli is a must Highly recommended visiting

Came across this farm shop when visiting hebden bridge for Easter weekend as it kept being mentioned when I was asking locals where there was a local farm shop / cafe to shop , eat and buy gifts but In a rural location where we could walk and explore the surroundings … wasn’t disappointed at all … food lovely , staff efficient and the farm shop is to die for , busy cafe though so book in advance .. gorgeous place👌

We go to Craggies pretty regularly for lunch. We go somewhere different every week. This place sells the best breakfast ever. I also like the pork pie and mushy peas. And it's not that expensive. The farm shop has some lovely supplies for sale but to be honest I find the items rather expensive

Customer service was horrendous, what I presume is the owner controls everything and then young people just fetch and carry food and the drinks creating slow service. Waited way after other later arriving tables for drinks and in the end got up and had to ask for it. The food came out quick all day breakfast, the usual bacon sausage mushrooms hash brown beans toast I had asked for scramble egg. I only ate the mushrooms and bacon the sausage resemble cheap Richmond type sausage, the scramble egg over cooked, raw hash brown and toast will leave to your imagination but on the same theme. Then waited for anyone to come over and waited and waited so took the plates to the counter and explained what the breakfast was like. The owner I think was no the sausage is made here in a manner of how dare you comment. Her whole attitude was abrupt and rude. I witnessed her being like this with others too. The young people just looked bewildered and as though they aren't allowed to do anything such as take orders or mange the till again creating the slow service and having to deal with the grumpy self opinion owner. Very bad experience and would avoid

Great dining experience..dining area upgraded since last time visited..plenty of space..plenty of variety on the menu reasonably priced...had the Belgian waffles with berries & cream very tasty..great farm shop as well with a selection of local produce...well worth a visit..Will definitely call in again 😀

Although I have used this place a lot, it is only recently I realised they use Palm oil in some products, not happy. When will companies realise we don't want this happening. I won't be going again.

Cosy farm shop located in the heart of the countryside. The cafe was fairly big so managed to get us a seat quickly despite being busy! Food was brilliant quality and big portion sizes, and staff were all really hospitable and friendly. Amazing fresh local produce too!! Love love loved the farm shop; it had everything from cakes, to pre made pies, sauces and alcohol- I could I would’ve bought it all!!

Came here for the first time the other day and it was beautiful! The food was amazing and the farm shop had so much choice and variety. Already told my friends and family to come pay a visit!

Great breakfast in the cafe! Great produce and stunning countryside on the drive there.

When we arrived at the cafe,we were asked if we wanted a table for two.We replied:"yes".We were the told: "we're fully booked" even though there were a number of completely empty tables. None of the tables displayed a sign saying "booked".Nowhere on the Craggies Cafe website is there any mention of "booking".Customers are not told to book in advance to avoid disappointment.The solution to this problem,as far as I'm concerned,is to go elsewhere.
