Only dropping a star because I had bad signal and I needed to work. WiFi would make this place a killer. Great food, fantastic coffee, warm and caring staff. What more could you want? (WiFi.)

Enjoyed a brunch at Cow and Bean this morning. Delicious, freshly made food, great coffee, great service and good value too. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I come here every week with my Dad (sometimes more with my children and husband too!). The coffee is strong and smooth and the cakes are absolutely delicious- honestly best carrot cake I’ve eaten. Always very friendly service too. We love it here ❤️

I’m a bit of a coffee connoisseur, very difficult to please so for me to be impressed with a coffee is saying something. Quite a few coffee shop in Petts Wood now, but none match the taste as Cow & Bean. We go their regularly and also enjoy the bants with the friendly staff.

This was such a cute little find on my walks! They serve THE most delicious fluffy hot chocolate and salivating muffins, the staff are friendly and welcoming, it has an outdoor sitting good for warm days and laboratory access. Although I found it a little pricey, I still enjoyed my little break there. I'd definitely recommend👌

Minimum card charge of £10 in this day and age is ridiculous and against VISA rules. Staff were rude when I highlighted that VISA does not allow them to set a minimum charge.

Great coffee and cake. Worth a visit. Just try to not go at peak yummy mummy time as that can be a bit annoying.

Looks like the food and coffee are quite good and convenient location. But they do not accept card purchases or contactless / Apple Pay purchases below £5 so I was not able to use. Coffee X opposite however does accept low value card payments which is much more convenient.

This is a great place to meet up with friends. It’s very conveniently located in the heart of Petts Wood close to the station. There is lots of outside seating which is useful with the Covid situation.

Lovely place on the square to sit outside. We'd come here more often if they didn't allow smoking. Really puts us off our tea and isn't pleasant to bring our baby.

Nice environment, but if you choose to sit inside, then be prepared for the very loud coffee machine noise. Sometimes so noisy that it makes conversation between each other difficult.

Just popped in here for coffee after a dog walk. Seating outside and in. Because I had my dog with me, we sat outside. There were heaters and a covered area, which was good. Service was quite quick and the coffee was as expected. Nice atmosphere. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. Friendly place.

A lovely cafe a lot of my friends swear by! An outside terrace when the weather is friendly and some indoor seating when it's colder. Always someone nice to welcome you with a nice warm cup of coffee and some cake!

I love Cow and Bean and George, the owner, is fab in that he knows my order and is preparing it before I’ve even opened the door some mornings! Really personal service and a great selection of hot and cold drinks as well as wine and gin in the evenings. Cow and Bean is such a nice location too with outside seating and heaters for the colder months and inside is air conditioned for the warmer days. Cos and Bean is my go to coffee shop at least twice a week on my way to work and also a place I visit at the weekend with my family. Prices are very competitive and George offers a loyalty scheme offering a free drink for every 9 or so purchases.

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. Not a great choice of food but what we had was tasty, well presented and served promptly. I do think they excel at their drinks. I had a milkshake followed by a cappuccino. Delicious! Another plus, for me, is that they allow dogs outside. The reason I took off 1 star was because we were surrounded by smokers. I’ve checked up on the legislation, and sadly, I think this is legal. However, with fewer and fewer people smoking, it might be more profitable to not allow smoking outside ... or would this be breaking the law? Really lovely little cafe but I don’t think I’ll back. I value my lungs!

Popped in with a friend for coffee, cake and catch up. Neither of us had been here before but will most definitely be back. Staff were so friendly, we both had some carrot cake which was delicious, and it was very clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that the tables are so close together. We had a gentleman on the table next to us and he was quite loudly spoken and this did impact on our visit. Unfortunately because it is a small coffee shop this is one drawback but we will definitely be back.

Stumbled across this lovely little coffe shop by accident. Friendly service, great coffee & excellent carrot cake.

Many times I have been shopping locally and noticed this cafe was always lively and full, both inside and out on the very pleasant terrace. I made a mental note to experience it for myself..... this I finally achieved a few days ago and I'm so glad I did. My friend and I sat outside, which was warm and cosy, despite the cold rainy day, due to the outside heaters. The service, drinks and snacks were all excellent, and I now know why it's always busy. I'll definitely make a visit to this lovely place part of my shopping experience in future.

We didn't get coffee, we got G&Ts, welcoming staff, obviously pretty small, but clean, warm and friendly. Did I mention.. G&Ts!! Will be going back to try actual coffee and one of the nice looking cakes at some point

Love to walk through the woods to this spot by Petts Wood station. Good coffee that tastes like coffee should, plus some nice treats and gluten free options. Friendly staff who often ask if we're ok/ need anything/ are warm enough etc when sitting outside with the dog. Lovely little terrace which is always open, has heaters, and a dog bowl for the pooches.

Best hot chocolate I've ever had. Great selection of cakes......try their lemon or carrot cake, yum yum! Relaxing environment, lovely staff, great friendly atmosphere. Can highly recommend. Don't feel uncomfortable popping in on my own as there's always a friendly welcome.

Perfectly situated in the middle of Petts wood square, with indoor and outdoor heated seating. The staff are incredibly friendly, hardworking and attentive. Special mention to the owner George who makes all of his customers feel very welcome. The coffee is without a doubt better than any of the chain companies. Great for families, friends and even dogs! Thank you!

First time I have tried cow and bean which seems quite popular however I ordered a latte which was basically a flat white and did not taste right (very strong coffee) Nicely refurbished inside but think I will stick to costa opposite from now on.

My husband and I have visited a couple of times and never been disappointed with the coffee and cakes. Nice and modern, and happy friendly staff. I was disappointed to see that the coffee bean dregs were thrown in with the normal rubbish though. - They can be recycled and make an amazing rose fertilizer!

I’ve popped into this small coffee shop on several occasions and really only because it was an independent; not a fan of the brand offerings locally. The proprietor, George is a welcoming sort of fellow, talks to his clients and quietly gets on with making a quality coffee. During the Spring & Summer months the outside area is a sun trap and gets quite busy. Love the Orange Polenta cake, moist with a subtle hint of orange; along with the coffee and walnut a real hit. Both my teenage children like it here too, a regular stop off on the way home, the milkshakes are good value.

Since cow and bean opened it's been a family favourite. A small but cosy and intimate cafe that does good coffee, a good collection of cakes and offers milkshakes for the kids. Has outdoor seating which is popular in the warmer weather. Very kid friendly.

Coffee and drinks are decent. Food quality and service could be improved. About 5 two-person tables inside and often gets full at busy times. Full brunch isn't served, but a small selection of pasties, cakes and savouries is on the menu.

If you like to sit in the sun sipping a coffee then you will like this place. A few steps from Petts Wood train station it's ideal if you are meeting friends for a light lunch. Very busy on sunny days and dogs are welcome. The owner is very friendly and knows his coffee. Seems to be open all hours. Limited seating inside but there are heaters and an awning for cooler days. Amazing to think it was once a public toilet!
