Cosy Club Oxford in South Oxfordshire

Así que no es frecuente que llegue a salir a desayunar, pero este lugar tiene un desayuno brillante por un precio realmente razonable! Todo estaba bien cocinado, la comida estaba caliente y el servicio era bueno. Si volviera a Oxford volvería aquí para desayunar de inmediato, ¡ni siquiera me gustaría molestarme en probar en ningún otro lugar!

Primera vez en un Cosy Club pero frecuente Candelo Lounge Thame que ha sido una decepción en muchas ocasiones! Tengo que decir que Harry el camarero hizo la visita. ¡Su humor, conocimiento y ventas fueron impecables! ¡Tenía que conseguir su nombre ya que estaba tan impresionado! ¡Irá muy lejos en hospitalidad si ese es el camino elegido!

Visited at lunch. Sat at nice table by the window. It was very busy and vibrant. The staff were excellent I had a starter of bread and my son had the prawns. Both were excellent. I then had Asian chicken salad, my son the cosy club burger and my wife the vegan curry. All of us agreed the food was near perfect. Finally my wife and I had the semifreddo which was unbelievably good and my son had salted caramel cheesecake which again was sublime. Finally given how busy it was, the staff were excellent and the wait times were more than acceptable. Overall superb.

Fui a tomar algo con un par de amigos. Ambiente muy agradable, me encantó la decoración y la buena gama de bebidas. Sin embargo, la forma en que el supervisor detrás de la barra estaba tratando al personal dejó un sabor amargo en mi boca, por lo tanto, escribir esta crítica. Le dijo al personal que se reunieran todos inmediatamente, luego en un tono agresivo e irrespetuoso tuvo una oportunidad con ellos sobre botellas de vino que no estaban completamente terminadas antes de abrir otras (o algo por el estilo) e hizo todo esto frente a los clientes que esperaban en el bar. Después de permitir que las licitaciones del bar volvieran a funcionar, comenzó a pasar por delante de ellos diciendo ‘y si tienes un problema conmigo... ’ (no pude distinguir el resto mientras lo decía mientras caminaba) Esta no es una manera de tratar al personal amable y educado muy trabajador (esta fue la noche del Sábado 8 de febrero si quieres hacer un seguimiento) y retenerlos. Otros clientes y yo nos miramos incrédulos. Sospecho que esas licitaciones de bares no se quejarían, así que lo hago por ellos.

Disappointed booked for my son’s birthday as we have been many times. Ordered drinks only to be told this was an old menu and the lager was no longer available and they hadn’t received the new ones. We ordered the buttermilk chicken which we have each time we go, so disappointed the chicken arrived with a pile of Lettuce just dumped on the top no presentation, no sauce no coleslaw and the chips came a minute or so after and were cold. Charging the same price for less food. Unfortunately this has ruined it for us and we won’t be back.

Gorgeous place and decor. Slightly let down by service and some of the food. We also went for ‘bottomless brunch’ with only 2 cocktails as an option. I would go again but for more of a romantic meal out rather than brunch.

Popped in with some friends on a sunny afternoon, no requirement to book. Really stylish venue with comfy seats. Staff saw to us straight away and took our orders at appropriate intervals. Food was delicious, highly recommend the Cosy Smash burger, it was amazing and a good size. Will definitely go back!

I popped in for lunch on a Sunday and found the restaurant very quiet, with less than 10% occupancy. **Positives:** - Drinks are nice - Staff seem okay - Spacious **Negatives:** - Food is very average (comparable to Wetherspoons) - Overpriced for what it is. - Interior feels dated, reminds me of a pub I ordered the fish and chips, thinking it was a safe bet. How can you mess it up? Unfortunately, the fish had breadcrumb batter that was cold on the outside and boiling in the middle. The spinach was served in clumps and was clearly frozen, then microwaved or steamed and just placed on the plate. While the taste was acceptable, it was honestly just felt lazy and tasted very basic. The overall vibe of Cosy Club is similar to the Ivy chain (perhaps they're owned by the same group), but the food here is definitely worse from my experience!
