Costa - Next in Crawley

A busy Costa but never so busy you feel crowded, staff are friendly efficient and polite, well appointed shop, customers are a better type than the Costa shops near bye too, only gripe is costs for drinks and food a little high but it's a lot better than any of the Costa shops in the area based on staff quality, busyness of shop and type of customers in the shop, way better.

Pleasant coffee shop but the WiFi hasn’t worked for months and the mobile signal is poor

Very disappointed, the new hot milkshakes overpriced and taste like vomit, comparing to the ones, I have tasted in Crawley shopping mall, people don’t have enough training and passion to make them , tasted very sugary and way to sweet , bad balancing, I almost vomited myself, end up throwing the drinks up on the way out, you can’t charge that kind price , I stick to the Starbucks, same price 3 times better quality ..

Always go here for a coffee as nice atmosphere & happy to be here on my own. Staff very friendly

Poor service, a smile wouldn’t go a miss, spilt drinks whilst serving, never apologised, no wipes to clean up mess, had to clear own table before sitting down, more interested in doing collections then serving customers in queue, nearly walked out, nice coffee though.

Maybe ok I don't like their coffee.

Wow !! This establishment has had a refit and looks so much more up-market. Same products, which are pretty good, but the atmosphere and service have really improved. Since the refit, the atmosphere created by the staff is so much more welcoming, and this is really appreciated. TEN stars from this reviewer...

Much improved after the makeover. Still lacking in natural light, but they can't do much about it. Now they just need to keep it looking nice. Only issue was the member of staff only offered medium or large drinks. Obviously trying to upsell from regular!

The staff here is very friendly and kind. I am a regular customer here and I would recommend it for sure! I had a flat white the other day and it’s was so damn good. Worth visiting

Worst Costa I've ever been in. Ordered a hot chocolate, asked both ladies if they could call me up when it was ready as I had luggage. 20 minutes went by, nothing. Went up to the counter and the man making drinks was friendly and apologetic, obviously hadn't been told to even make my drink. Both ladies at the till were useless and unfriendly and just about gave me a refund. It all seemed to be a mess and I was very unimpressed.

Horrible experience. Whoever the owners are, left their two employees, one on their first day it seemed and the other a very kind girl who was doing everything as well as dealing with customer complaints. Her name is Yasho, she was incredible and so apologetic, she tried to resolve every situation but unfortunately being on her own that was absolutely impossible. As for the other girl she was very polite and apologised for the delay on the till but she should not be put on till without proper supervision or training. I work at Starbucks and I thought the service was absolutely disgraceful. The two owners then came out and started helping as if nothing happened and there weren’t a queue of unhappy customers. This costa is horrific and I will never go here again. Also THEY TAKE MISTAKES OUT OF THE EMPLOYEES PAYCHECK. Maybe if you actually were present on shift to help these two lovely girls there would be any mistakes.

Worst Costa I've ever visited. Awful. Staff didn't have a clue. One poor older staff member seemed like she carried the rest and looked totally fed up. Cold coffee, drinks mixed up , wrong food. A comedy of errors. Won't bother again, especially with so many independent coffee shops to choose from..

No paper or soap: Dirty toilets: told by batista in charge there was no fresh soap/paper replacement in the building: What do the staff use to clean their hands? Potential hub for spreading diseases? Long queue: tetchy staff: poorly served drinks - NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!

Now desperately needing a shop refit to new look it. It's now looking quite tatty inside in the fixtures and fittings. Lots of staff in training here now, with lots of the experienced regular staff having now moved on elsewhere. Sadly this meant I've experienced cold food where it should be hot. They've reached my three strikes and you're out here on cooked food. Let me down three times. So I feel why should I buy there anymore and likely get more cold food or stale bread on rolls. Used to be very good here, but now I'm tending to largely avoid. I'm sure once the staff are better trained it will be better. In the mean time don't really see why I as a customer should suffer in paying good money for poor service and quality of food. Like my hot food being left out by side of cooker to get cold. While they served other people. Not on.

I had a sandwich, no plate was offered, service was not good

Went to costa this morning trainee staff (didn’t catch her name) who severed me at the till was lovely however another member of staff which I believe was called Chantelle was incredibly rude to other costumers as well as making her friend a coffee instead of customers orders and then had a chat instead of helping others make the drinks, aswell as this she also was incredibly rude to trainee who was just trying to help make the drinks not very good!

Very tasty however you have to be prepared to wait for the huge que to go down.

It's a Costa coffee shop. Consistently great coffee. Consistent friendly staff. Very strict adherence to Covid rules, face covering, social distancing and gloves. Open on a Sunday. Go support your local businesses.

Lovely staff....but no choice of food. Apparently due to eat out to help out sandwiches etc are limited and no vegetarian options at all. Maybe ok on other days.

Carrot cake was good, moist, but not enough icing. There's a couple of tables by the window that are cosy at 10am with the morning aun coming from the top of the highsl street.

My last 3 visits .twice been over charged as have the breakfast toast with coffee has been put through normal not as breakfast deal .also one member of staff on one acassion crouching down behind counter on phone and on my return today the same member of staff on her phone .

STOP Ask yourself: why am I reading an online review of Costa Coffee shop? Is my life so slow that I feel the need to write one when Uncle Google prompts me? It's a branch of one of the most tightly controlled franchise operations in the world. If it isn't exactly the same as any other Costa Coffee the manager has probably already been sacked. You get what it is. Coffee, pre-packed food and knackered, dimly lit interior. Simples

Just a few brief comments :-Counter service OK but Lattee coffee, watery and nothing special.The decor is quite nice with a view over the A23 and the car park.My one complaint is why play the execrable music all the time? Not only is the music awful but it is far too loud! I am sure most customers find the music intrusive and unwelcome.

Food was Ok. Good and served promptly. But the coffee!! How can it take so long to make two cups of coffee? And don't use the table near the door- locals must live in fields or have butlers to close doors behind them.

Busy and never seem to clear the tables. All a tad messy.

Came here yesterday and was extremely disappointed. This has been the second time I've visited that the cashier (blonde lady) has walked off before serving a line of customers she has. She didn't even say hello to any of us, just completely flat-out ignored us. The guy on bar also did not greet any of us. I'm a barista myself and you are NEVER too busy to say hello to customers. I found the cashier unfriendly and cold when serving me. She seemed more interested in flirting with the guy on bar than actually serving customers. I get it's exhausting to work in a coffee shop, but kindness doesn't cost a thing. I probably won't come here again.

Good Costa with plenty of seating. Staff are OK and deal with my complicated orders well.

We regularly visit County Oak for the Retail outlets; quite often we pop into Next for a coffee, although sometimes I suspect my wife choses it so she can tour the Next store. Good staff, good seating, great coffee.
