Beer choice is super limited thus 2 stars for food and also always a flat pint:(. Poor for a hotel. Sports bar with 2 tiny tv's...seriously!! Menu never changes and is so average. Only bar service, so 2 stars there also.

This is the most disgusting meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. We got chicken wings, they tasted like they had freezer burn before they were cooked. Just horrible. We had fish sandwiches, frozen fish parts, tasted really fishy, they smelled horrible. The tarter sauce was also inedible. This is in a Hilton. The Hilton used to be a really nice hotel. I will never stay in one again.

Early meal here before very early flight, so we had nachos, chips and pizza- perfect food for casual dining with plenty of wine by the glass choices too. Brazilian Natalia was our delightful server, with new guy Jaspar. The service was friendly, quick and efficient so a lovely start to our holidays, thank you!

Can I advice for board games or darts? The staff are nice and the place is a good place to catch up with your friends. Margarita Pizza is a top notch. Conveniently payment was done by card.

So let’s be clear, this isn’t a sports bar, it’s a bar in a hotel with 2 average sized tvs that sells burgers and ribs. The furniture isn’t designed to be a sports bar and the fact the sound was barely audible suggests management don’t want it to be a sports bar. That said massively busy and team nice, worked hard burgers, yes brought in and finished in house were good and overall it’s ok, but could be so much more!!

20 pounds burger for dinner and I feel awfull the day after. The hamburger patty received was not warm, by the look of it was most probably pre cooked and warmed up. Totally not worth the price paid for it. Today I suffer from food indigestion so thank you for that Charlie Fry Sport Bar.

Where do I start… The staff behind the bar look like they have never worked in a bar before, pulled a pint or used a cash register. It’s shocking beyond belief. Taking nearly 6 minutes to serve each customer for 3 drinks. They all love playing with the dish washer or receipts rather than serving paying customers. People were walking out! Food was left on the counter for over 45 minutes (and no, they weren’t run off their feet) Don’t blame the staff unless they have had sufficient training. I blame the management! At least get the basics right!!!!

On arrival there were no staff and we weren't sure they were even open. When a server appeared she gave no welcome nor encouragement to stay but we asked for menus and ordered. At no point did we feel welcome but rather a nuisance. I asked if the chicken burger had cheese and got a shrug. The food arrived after 25mims and the server this time was friendlier. The chicken burger and beefburger were fine but our squid was overcooked and clearly straight from the freezer. For £93 we expected better service and food.

Great food with great customer service in a convenient location. If you love pizza, it doesn't get any better than this.

Paul and Patrick behind the bar are both great guys, always friendly and always helpful. The steak baguette is a good shout - cheers Paul!

Good bar with an atmosphere. Paul and Patrick behind the bar were great and made sure we were all looked after whilst waiting for our food which was delayed.

We stayed the night before our flight and couldn't be bothered to go far to get food. My husband had the burger and I had the hotdog. Both were excellent. I especially liked the cheese and onion mix on the burger. Paul was our waiter and was excellent. He was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent meal. He came and checked on us and even chased up our meals when he thought they were taking too long.

Nice selection of food ideally for a sports bar! You can enjoy some Burgers, chicken wings, Nachos with guacamole,the very yummy Loaded fries, an the famous Steak baguette with mustard. Also you can enjoy some desserts.

My initial experience was a strange response to asking if they are showing the Liverpool game in a 'sports bar.' The service wasn't especially friendly and the food was pretty darn terrible. People come here for a lack of choice and not for anything more. Avoid if you can.

Food better than expected , we had the beef burger with chorizo, Brie & caramelised onion - very tasty! The service was very attentive and quick. Nothing was too much trouble and always served with a smile! Special thanks to Susaza & Livia.

Good meal - standard options available and the pizzas are good. Good range of beers. Hugo provided excellent service.

I regularly stay at the hilton gatwick for work and as there are not a massive amount of eating options nearby i usually venture down to the Sports Bar for some dinner. The food is better than expected for a Sports Bar and the staff are extremely friendly. They always greet me with a smile and are extremely attentive, making sure I have everything I need. If you're staying at the hotel and in the mood for a decent meal, a few drinks and a good atmosphere (for a hotel bar) then i'd recommend heading down to Charlie Fry's.

Don't get nachos for sure. Cheese was sparse and gross. Did not include guacamole and salsa as stated. Zero service, zero. Pizza was average at best.

Were staying in the hotel prior to an early morning flight. Didn't fancy eating in either of the other restaurants and so opted for Charlie Fry's. We chose to eat early as there were some Euro 2020 qualifying matches on and we thought it might get busy - which it did! Our food and drink orders were quickly taken by a very pleasant waitress. When our fish and chips arrived they were very good: piping hot, good portions, fish well cooked, chips nice and crispy. What more can you ask! Not the cheapest of meals but bearing in mind it was in an airport hotel we felt it was good value for money. We would definitely eat there again.

A nice sports bar, where you can have drinks and food, atmosphere was good, service very good, food excellent. One thing though it is pricey, so bear that in mind.

I would like to praise Hugo, the waiter that served me and my group today. He was so friendly, kind and nice to us. As I work with public everyday, it is amazing to see someone work with so much joy! Will definitely return.

A very cosy and familiar pub with good British food and a very professional and friendly waiter called Hugo, definitely an asset to the pub.

Typical pub food, but the service was excellent. The staff on this evening consisted of Susana, Adriana, Simone and Hugo who were very attentive of our every needs. Made the difference between a normal pub night and staying in here!

We were 5 minutes too early to be served! - I was 'un-politely' informed that the bar did not open for another 5 minutes. The 2 staff members then walked around to the customer side of the bar and waited the 5 minutes. Not sure if this was just a case of 'more than my jobs worth' or perhaps the staff are working to order due to poor hotel management? The bar itself is open all day but they will not serve you until 5PM

I have been here before and it has sufficed but after this experience never again. We decided to have a nightcap so went to the bar to order two large Jameson’s - not in stock so they offered an alternative Irish whiskey which we ordered. I nearly fell over when the barman said £25.60. Paid and advised partner who was outraged so googled this whiskey to see the cost of it as it might be that special - retail price for a whole bottle is £24.99!!!! I have lived in London all my life and use to pricey drinks but this is just outrageous especially as the bar is nothing special and the food is mediocre at best. They and Hilton will not be getting any more of our money!!!!

We chose the Hilton at Gatwick for our stay before a early flight for a change....normally we stay at the Sofitel! We chose to spend the night at Charlie Fry’s sports bar because the football was on.

I'm visiting the London/Crawley area for business so I am staying at the Hilton Gatwick Airport Hotel. This is my 3rd night in a row spending a few hours at Charlie Fry's Sports Bar. I continue to come back to this bar for a few reasons. My server has been Sam Hester all three nights and he has been excellent. Very good customer service and knows when to check on you without being bothersome. The beers and drinks are very enjoyable here. I have especially been enjoying the Guinness quite a bit. I have also had dinner here three nights in a row and I am very satisfied with the food quality. The price may be a bit above average but as a business travel, nothing out of the norm. If you are staying at the Hilton or nearby, I would recommend Charlie Fry's Sports Bar. The place does get busy and fills up with customers so be warned, that is also a good sign.

The beer is expensive, as too is the food. There’s no where else to eat apart from the restaurant which is even more expensive. Tried to order fish and chips (£17) at the bar as I have done before on other trips. Told to sit down and bar staffeill come take order, which they did, but added 12.5 service charge (£2.15) to the bill ‘it’s optional’ she said - bit awkward to say take it off, so paid it! So that’s £19.15 for fish and chips which in a westberspoons would be well less than half the price - rip off! Buy some booze and food from M&S; in south terminal and watch tv in your room.

This is the bar in the Hilton Hotel at Gatwick airport South Terminal. Easy to find, downstairs beyond the reception desk, the bar is comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. The range of beers is typical of a hotel bar and there's a limited food menu (chicken wings, burgers etc.). We ate here and it was very good, tasty and well presented. We stayed on a Monday evening and the food was served up promptly. Altogether, this is a handy alternative for a drink and a bite to eat rather than go into the airport terminal if you're staying overnight.

It’s got just a slightly little less hotel feel about it which is nice if you’re just stopping over pre flight

We arrived in the afternoon and there was cosy seating perfect for our family of four, two adults and two children under 5. We ordered the house burger, the bbq chicken and a margarita pizza for the children. We did have to send the pizza back as it arrived well overdone and the children would not touch it, could have been game over but when we informed the staff they immediately sorted this out with a new order. We had to wait again but when it arrived the children were delighted and happily tucked in. This meant we could enjoy our meals too both of which were very tasty, portions were good and presentation was impressive. Having somewhere like this to relax in with a young family makes a difference especially when staff are so welcoming. Thank you for making the start of our trip very comfortable.

The food and drink is quite pricey - but we had very good food - the nachos were amazing when they did arrive - a bit of a mix up on the order !! We then had a Caesar Salad and Pizza very good - but my slaty very salty drank a bucket of water through the night !! We chose this place for the sport and indeed the football was on but the. Quality and interference on the screen was disappointing - so we blagged the Wi-fi code and went to watch it on the ipad in our room - !!

Ate at Charlie Fry’s Sports Bar on the 8th August with my girlfriend, our first visit to The Hilton Gatwick, & wanted somewhere local, & not up-market to eat.

We were staying at the Hilton so decided to eat close and both of us had a World Cup burger I think they were the Mexicans! It was a bit busy but here we go! We waited ages to get the food! My burger had double the bottom ingredients, and my wife had double the top ingredients so the cook mixed up the burgers in his high speed food cooking! They were also massively over cooked. Both of us had bad stomachs at 2 am so I think there is a problem somewhere in the kitchen. I did mention all the issues to the waiter and he apologised and gave us a 20% discount! Also had to explain this to him 3 times and he kept coming back knowing we wanted to pay the bill.

We got to the Hilton in time to watch the Sunday afternoon football at 1630. Sports bar on site - ideal.

I occasionally find myself at this bar found at the road entrance of the Hilton Hotel, it is usually found busy showing mainly football (soccer) to guests staying in the hotel.

We stayed one evening in the Hilton Hotel and in their basement/ground floor is this place, Charlie Fry's Sports Bar. It's a half decently decorated sports bar with a pretty reasonable choice of beers and food so everything we needed for our stay, given we didn't want to venture too far from the hotel. The staff were welcoming and the beer cold. The place had a bit of atmosphere and there was a large screen TV showing sport. They didn't have the Anthony Joshua fight on later that evening which was a bit disappointing for a sports bar, but the manager came over and explained why and I understood his reasoning. We had burgers and fries to eat and mine was pretty good though my wife's was undercooked and a bit of an issue. However, it was sorted fairly quickly and we got complimentary deserts for our troubles, which was appreciated. So, for what we wanted this place ticked a lot of boxes and it was well attended, but not too full. Pretty good first night on our holiday.

This is a great place to relax with a pint and a snack after checking into the Hilton. Good selection of food and drink. However they close quite early. Airport hotels should expect patrons and check-ins at all hours, so a 10:30 closing doesn't seem right. During our visit, at 9:30 in the evening, the staff gave the impression that they were very rushed and doing you a favour by taking your order. Could be a traveler's oasis with a little change in attitude.
