Go in every week for lunch after doing some bu upsiness Notice there is something wrong with a step as you come through the door Has been like it for weeks.No sign up or any knowledge there is something wrong with step.Today a lady tripped and fell on floor .She had a walking stick and a caliper o leg.luckly her friend was holding onto her.I had to help to pick her up and sit her on chair.The Manager did come over and asked if she was alright and fill out an accident formThen left and never came back also out of kindness offered her just her a FREE COFFEE

went to this costa at lunch time today (friday 21st july) and had to leave a review!!! the loveliest man working ,, drew a smiley face on the coffee and all :)) made my day

Good coffeehouse. Management and staff are nice quality bunch of hard working, and accommodating young people. Oh! and the coffee they make tastes amazingly good.

Absolutely filthy! Staff were handling bins then dealing coffees, milk everywhere, coffee machines filthy, absolutely disgusting!!!! Hand clothes all over the floor.Had to send my coffee back as they had scorched the milk and caused the coffee to taste vile. They remade me one hence the 2 *. Only went to Costa to use a free coffee on a trip to Truro, will be staying to my local! Much cleaner.

I've been a regular here for years, and the reason for that is that the staff are lovely, efficient and really helpful. They know me by name and always make me feel welcome and have time for a chat. There's a lovely mix of people that have been here for a long time (so really know their stuff) and youngsters full of energy and enthusiasm. It goes without saying that the coffee is great and the food (and cakes!) is consistently good quality, with plenty of old favourites on offer. The cafe itself is always clean and tidy and there a few perfect seats perfect for people watching over the Square! I usually bring my laptop and the WiFi is good too. Highly recommend!

Stopped here this morning in a shopping break for a tea, an Americano and two packs of wafers. It was obvious from stepping over the threshold that they were short staffed.....every empty table was still covered in used cups etc. Found a table for two, removed all the debris from the previous occupants and my husband went to order. After a wait, as the second member of staff had disappeared, he came back to the table with our order. Had to go back straight away as the tea cup was dirty. He got given another one which was also dirty. Got a third which was OK. I picked up the tea pot to pour out my tea to discover it was empty!!!! You couldn't write this!!! Having said that, once I got my tea in a clean cup, it was rather nice.

Awful customer service. Young girl serving today, Sunday morning on till absolutely vile. Needs serious customer service training.

Order taken and I scanned my loyalty card, no offer if I wanted to use my free drinks so paid on my card, the Barista making our drinks I don’t think she acknowledged or spoke once , I ordered a Terrys Orange Hot Chocolate which was only Luke warm and no Terrys Chocolate provided with the drink , disappointing visit to Costa on this occasion, maybe stick to the drive throughs next time ☹️

Although working through the Covid 19 regulations a d restrictions we had a friendly greeting and good wishes when we left. The store was clean and well laid out for social distancing. Good well made coffees too 👍

If you are heading to Truro with small children you will soon find out that nowhere, with the exception of Costa, have open toilets. How this is supposed to work I don't know, but what I can say is that for my 6 year old Costa was a lifesaver. Thank you so much for common sense.

Just collected a Click and Collect from the Truro store. Lovely to receive a hand written ‘thank you’ on the receipt alongside ‘thank you for your order’ on top of one of the cups with a bag of chocolate coins. I work in sales and customer service and this small gesture has made my day. It’s the small, un prompted things that mean the most, especially when so many people feel a bit down for so many different reasons. Great service, thank you Truro

I’ve always enjoyed coming here with family and friends the staff are all very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they had a rude customer who refused to follow the basic COVID-19 Track and Trace rules. After the customer was verbally abusive to the staff. The staff were very polite and professional even when faced with his poor behaviour. Well done Costa staff for having all your customers safety as your priority. We appreciate you all!! (From two younger members of society who follow the rules.)

In the centre of Truro, with full range of cakes biscuits and sandwiches, wheelchair access is good (though someone needs to open the door for you. Accessible toilet good. Not only good coffee but also hot chocolate with trimmings.

Before you walk in you get an idea of a place! The paint was peeling around the door! Against my better judgement we went inside. No warmer welcome to be had here. The staff didn't smile, in fact they were miserable. The whole place could do with a good clean. The floor needed sweeping and the tables needed clearing. The coffee shop wasn't busy either, so no excuse! And the toilets were filthy. Looked like they haven't been cleaned for ages. Hygiene obviously isn't a priority here. The hot chocolates were ok but the toasted sandwichs was undercooked and tasted bland. If I were you, I'd walk past this coffee lounge. There's so many nicer places in Truro for coffee/lunch. I've never left a negative review before, but felt, I didn't want people to come here on holiday and think this was the normal standard of things in Cornwall.

Took my family to Costa Coffee on a busy Saturday so we’re lucky to find a table. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The cakes were delicious.

Asked for a house filter coffee to be told they didn’t serve filter coffee after 1600 (We got there at 1700) I asked why and didn’t get any sort of sensible answer. I asked where the signs were to inform customers of this bizarre rule - ‘There aren’t any’ Imagine an American going into a coffee shop and being told they had stopped serving the most basic of coffees - filter. What do you think he would do?.....I think he’d leave (like I did) and go somewhere else.I tried to leave a complaint on the Costa Coffee website ‘Contact Us’ page on both my iPad & PC, and it doesn’t work. I’ve now contacted them via Facebook but don’t hold out much hope on getting a reply - they can’t even reply to the reviews on here.

I called in for a quick coffee. It was not too busy so I was served fairly quickly. Delicious hot flat white. Everywhere was clean and service was good

Went in for a coffee & treat on my own. They weren't very busy, but that didn't mean I got service with a smile. The 2 girls who served me were plain & simply just grumpy. No please, no thank you, absolutely appalling. Won't bother again. Tip for the future.. at least make an attempt to be nice to customers as we're the reason you're there!

Use this Costa every time we go to Truro. The staff are really friendly and the store is clean and tables kept clear. Most of the food is good with a couple of exceptions and the coffee is always very good. It was unfortunately closed yesterday due to flooding,very disappointed.

Never had any problem with all Costa coffee shops I’ve ever been to.This is the first and last time I will use this one in Truro also please if you read this before you go in, check your bill, I asked for the £2.70 hot chocolate but was charged £2.95? very naughty but didn’t notice until later.

Three of us visited in the first day of late shopping and Santa visiting... shop wasn’t too busy. Nice drinks and chatty staff. Clean.

Really nice kind staff. Great that this place is open late when waiting for the train.Cant fault the coffee or food.But goodness me get a person employed just on cleaning. I would hate to imagine one of the baristas having to clean the toilets. Employ a cleaner. Every time we have been in COST Truro the toilets are 50% closed and 100% filthy. Give someone job ! And pay them well !

Had a coffee & panini, tasted so bland, service quite slow! The one toilet for all was absolutely disgusting! Shall not return!

Popped in here last Friday,there was a queue of about 5 people at the counter,it took literally 24 minutes to get served,don't come here if you're in a hurry.

I pop in here quite often when I'm Truro but over the last couple visits have found the coffee to be hit and miss depending on who is serving the coffee, how busy and what mood! Bit disappointing as it's my fave coffee and being someone with over £50 in points I use the chain a lot!

Whilst on holiday was visiting Truro for the day and decided to have a Costa. It was around 2pm and there was a grand some of 5 sandwiches! 1 breakfast bloomer, 3 duck wraps and a blt sandwich. I know it was after lunchtime but I've never been in a Costa at any time of the day and it be this low.

Like a good coffee before work. Popped in this week after not been there for a few weeks. Just the same I feel while the coffee is lovely and I enjoy it. Customer service just as bad. The young man I feel as a hard job to speak, not asking for full blown conversation just a bit of good morning nice day etc. Nope none of that. Shame I like it here not far from work either also bring other people sometimes. Just feel they need to sharpen up on customer service. The young lady that arrived in later much nicer happy smiley face. Will try again next week bearing in mind I use this most days. If not much luck again then I will undoubtedly be going up the road. One last rant why oh why is it so cold air con on full blast when you want to sit and have comfortable coffee.

Tables could do with clearing more often, otherwise ok. Good coffee. Wheelchair access good. Love tbe white chairs

Just popped in when passing, nice coffee pleasant staff, enjoyable cakes. Plenty of choice in Truro, but this was very good.

I agree with the recent review in relation to staff. Completely inconsistent in terms of friendliness and tables clearly not cleared after occupants have vacated. I had to ask! A slightly grubby feel to the place. Very busy and had to queue for ages. That said, staff were working swiftly. Cappuccino good, Americano lacked that all important creme. Probably won't go back.

When we want a coffee, Costa is the place we head for. This coffee shop is in quite a good location and was busy. When I got to the front of the line, I placed my order, the server seemed pre-occupied. My wife likes her Latte very hot, we always ask for the milk to be at 180 degrees. Never have any problem with this and we travel all over the UK having our coffees in Costa. We sometimes get advised that the milk could get burnt at this temperature. However the baristas know what they are doing and this has never been a problem. At Truro though, the server on the till just said, "cant go above 160 degrees" I then explained that we always have the latte made as we wanted without any problems, I also said I would sign a waver if that is what he wanted. Server " you cant have it above 160 because of Health and Safety Regulations" There are no regulations that I know of stating this. I asked him why tea was served at a higher temperature if it was against Heath and Safety regulations but he just shrugged his shoulders. I then asked for the manager " we don't have a manager in today" I asked who it was that had just walked past. " He is the assistant manager" I was told. Could I speak to him then I asked, the server said "ok" and went to get him. After explaining to the assistant manager how I wanted my Latte, and that every other costa has created it for me, he just told the barista to do it for me. Why do people keep stating Its against H&S; regulations when they cant be bothered with something.

The hot chocolate is always a favourite of mine. The only real niggle I have is that sometimes the tables take a while to be cleared. Some staff are friendly but others don't seem interested, just depends on who you get on the day.

Missing my Nescafé frappe in Greece, Costa does a close copy with their iced Americano and probably the only reason I go there.

Great central location, friendly staff , kept nice and clean. Always pop in here for lunch or just a coffee. It does get busy but it seems to be managed well and I have never not found somewhere to sit.

Visited here twice recently while shopping with my toddler (almost 2). Both times the staff were efficient & friendly, I had tea & my daughter a babyccino and we shared a cake, all of which totalled £4.50.

Dropped in for a pick me up after a train journey. Friendly, quick & efficient service. Hot chocolate & cake did the trick. Good facilities.
