Would come for a coffee at least 3 times a week, amazing staff and fantastic coffee but i came in on Tuesday 14th may and seems they have employed a new staff member..... she was sat on the floor behind the counter on her phone when i arrived as I could see her thru the cake display and i wasn't even acknowledged when i was waiting at the till, another guy served me who was lovely and make my drink, For most of my visit she was just stood around on her phone and being loud and I could hear her on the other side of the shop, Was gonna pop in on Thursday 23rd may but seen her smoking out the front of the store just sat in her uniform which put me off coming in so I went to another coffee shop instead, won’t be returning for a while.

We went for a special birthday lunch with a guest who is very hard of hearing. A table in a quiet alcove had been booked to cater for his disability. When we arrived, on time, this table had been given to others, seriously detracting from the experience. Whilst the staff on duty were friendly and helpful, there were not enough of them; the service was slow. Apart from the main course fish, the portions were very small. This particularly applies to the thimbleful of mushy peas served to my wife. The expense of refurbishment of this restaurant was wasted. The venue is letting down the reputation of Tunbridge Wells. We will not visit again.

Landlady was super helpful but they stopped serving food at 4pm. The Italian is no more which was disappointing. Good music.

This is a store restaurant. The location is good - airy and well-lit with a small terrace outside. My lunch of a drink and a wrap was good quality, well-filled and came quickly. Certainly nicer than a chain store coffee shop.

Our expectations were high, possibly too high but we were looking forward to a meal in a recommended eatery with an interesting menu. We shared a burrata starter with some nicely warmed bread. The burrata came with some orange segments and was enjoyable. Our main courses came out within about three minutes of finishing our starter. Always a worrying sign. My wife had ordered the kedgeree which was not hot so we sent it back. The staff apologised and brought a new dish which was hotter, but it is not what you want. My main was pork schnitzel with linguine. It was okay but an odd combo, still I did order it!! The chips were hot n crispy so all good there. I guess the overall dining experience felt quite rushed and not to be lingered over and the food was…..well okay, no better than ok. So memo to self, stick to pub classics in future!!
