Absolutely awful service. Beyond rude staff. The main server was the most impatient girl I feel I’ve ever come across. She got my order wrong, as I asked for an iced latte. I was given a hot one and let her know it was wrong. No apology, just a roll of the eyes. The barista was shouting at them all and she also definitely was the most patient of people. I was eventually served it in completely the wrong cup and then it was just plonked on the side. No acknowledgment towards me at all. I feel they need to employ staff that actually like people. Their current staff clearly don’t!

Was in a rush as had places to be, while waiting in the queue I noticed the cake displays needed cleaning and dirty display stands were just left out, dirty mugs on the counter side, and dirty pots everywhere in the shop. When I got to placing my order I was greeted by a timid, unconfident and incredibly unprofessional looking ‘They/Them’ clown, I gave them a specific and concise order of one drink, a strawberry and cream frappe but with no cream on top. Well, the same clown proceeded to make my drink and put cream on top right in front of my face and then immediately turned around and said ‘we’ve put cream on by accident is that alright?’ I said that that wasn’t what I paid for and to make it again, I got my drink in the end but the whole experience was unsatisfactory and I will not be coming back.

We had drinks and sandwiches here on Tuesday 18th October 2022. Been her some time ago and it was bust but yesterday we visited at about 17.15, wasnt busy, got a table ok. Food and drinks were very nice. Two ladies serving etc were very friendly

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to Greggs in the Victoria Centre when we decided to drop into this Costa Coffee outlet in this huge shopping centre. A modern Costa Coffee Cafe,neat and tidy, light and airy, typical Costa Coffee decor and furnishings and a glass fronted serving bar showcasing all the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe, its a nice place to relax. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we planned out our day ahead while sipping our coffee's. My coffee was good, I'm a big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee, its consistant in all their outlets. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting to this Costa Coffee outlet we had a great time, its easy to locate in the Victoria Centre.

Where do you start, my colleague and I visited today to have a talk about some work related matters. Firstly, they weren't compatible with the new NHS contact tracing app, they had a QR code but it was for their propriety system, when I asked the person taking our order why they weren't compatible with the NHS system, they were rude and patronising, basically making me out to be a tech idiot in front of everybody in the queue. I do know how my phone's camera works thanks. We got our drinks and sat at our table in the corner away from other people and had our meeting. We were seated for around 30 minutes and had moved our chairs closer together to each other so as to not have to raise our voices as much as we would talking over the table. We were seated in this manner for the entire time. Then, a lady, who I assume was the shift manager, leaned right over us (I don't remember her even wearing a mask as she approached from the rear of the store where the office is, so might not have put it on yet) and asked us to straighten our chairs as they were supposed to be parallel with the wall, no idea why that helps in the fight against COVID (perhaps it doesn't like parallel lines, they should tell the WHO). Even though she was well within a meter of us, which obviously made us feel uncomfortable, she spoke at the top of her voice so the whole of the store and all of NG1 could hear her. We apologised and shifted our chairs as best we could, but then another member of staff got involved, a really condescending young man who basically got into an argument with my colleague, and eventually threatened to throw us out as we were apparently causing a scene. We eventually calmed the situation down ourselves, despite this young man's best attempts to wind us up with his patronising comments and obviously intended insincere tone. As we left he did the usual "have a great day" with an obvious smirk behind his mask. I can't recall another time in my life where I have been treated in such a poor fashion. We're not non believers or COVID deniers, we wash our hands, keep our distance from people and wear masks, we work in education so we're not anarchists. Costa need to invest more time in recruiting staff who are better suited to the hospitality sector. They also need to look at their COVID response, in particular where the NHS track and trace app is concerned. Do yourself a big favour and avoid this establishment.

Went in late morning on 10th February. Queue was stretching out the door as there was ONE barista on the counter - taking orders, preparing drinks, serving food, manning the till, everything. Took well over ten minutes to place and receive order - luckily wasn't in a hurry. Lad on the till did a fine job given the circumstances, was good about it and explained staff shortages due to illness had left him on his own all morning. Whoever is responsible for him being thrown under the bus like that should be pretty embarrassed.

Poor health and safety standards at this Costa. Staff spilt coffee on the floor and couldn’t be bothered to clean it up, despite the massive risk that someone could have fallen. There were lots of older customers - if one of them had slipped and fallen on the laminate flooring they could have easily ended up with a fractured hip which in my professional experience could have ruined the rest of their life. Staff were told about the spill by my wife and they couldn’t care less - they carried on chatting with each other behind the counter. I am a disabled wheelchair user and I had to go over to insist that they wipe up the spill before someone else ended up in a wheelchair. Terrible attitude towards their customers. The member of staff who spilt the coffee in the first place should have cleaned up the spill straight away, as they were very aware that they had done it because I saw them look down at it as they did it - I think that they were more interested in going for a break than looking after the welfare of their customers. The other three assistants were more interested in chatting to each other than the welfare of their customers. Really poor customer service. I contacted the store afterwards to point out their failings which could have left someone in a wheelchair like me. I thought that they might have wanted to carry out some staff training on clearing up spills to prevent ‘slips and trips’ but they didn’t even acknowledge my email. Very poor customer service, they obviously don’t care about their duty of care towards their customers. I will not go back to this coffee shop and I will encourage all of my friends to also boycott this outlet as they clearly don’t care about the safety of their customers and they think staff creating spill hazards and then not responding to customer concerns about it ahead of chatting to each other is ok. Well it is not “ok”. If someone wants to pick this up now that you have been “named and shamed” in public the incident happened around 17:30 on Saturday 5th October at the Victoria Centre Costa in Nottingham.

After walking round two floors of this rather large shopping centre it's great to find somewhere reasonable to rest those weary feet and have a bite and refresments at reasonable prices. Certainly worth a visit if in Nottingham City Centre.

Went to Costa in Victoria with my partner to get her favorite drink, two luxury hot caramels in the same cup topped with whipped cream. When we were giving our order, we asked if we could have some caramel sauce on top. The gentleman at the till said politely that he could not do that, due to company policy because the till does not have a button for the specific topic. So this in my common sense means that, a company like Costa finds it difficult to be flexible and use an alternative topping of the same price to go that extra mile for their customers. Nonetheless I decided not to create a fuss, we just took our drink and went on our business. Short after my partner mixed the cream into the caramel and had a big sip of the drink only to realize that it tasted sour. I tried it myself and had a sip only to find out that the drink was indeed sour. We went straight back to the Costa store and raised a complain. The manager of the store, without even having a scent of the cup, started explaining that the milk was on date and showed me the date on the bottle. Now, this to me (Maybe I have to mention here that I am a catering manager myself) looks like a total ignorance about food safety rules. Milk as a sensitive product has to be handled with extra care. When you have a complain that the milk was off you can at least smell the bottle to see if there is something wrong. Showing a customer a date on a bottle doesn't mean a thing. We do not know when it was opened (e.g. If a bottle has a use by date the 8th of the current month and is opened on the 3rd of the same month then it is well gone by the 8th because it would be opened for 6 days by then). Not to mention that she had a rude and bossy tone trying to talk over me rather than empathising and hear what I was saying. I don't know who gave her that position. What I know from my own experience is that her ability to handle those situation was measured and came short. I did not even asked for refund or some kind of compensation. Just asked her name (she refused to give her last name). Now we are still dealing with my partners condition trying to revive from a bad stomach, because she had a drink with an "on date" dairy product.

Wednesday 5th December 545pm. Young man in a grey t shirt. The only one wearing that shirt so he knows who he is. He walked into work barged past countless women including an elderly women. There was a customer paying and waiting for his drink and this bloke in a grey t shirt barked at the customer until he moved. No excuse me just shouting hello until he moved. The staff laughed at this. What a joke. I wish he had spoken to me like that. Sack the waste of space!

No issues with the coffee or food, however, the customer service could be improved greatly. The staff taking your coffee order at the till always seemed to be very stressed and distant (maybe due to being under staffed?). I think it would make a lot of difference if they came across more friendly.

My husband and I visited this Costa on Monday 3rd Sept. 9a.m. there were 3 customers in the queue and one very hard working female assistant, eventually when the queue increased she called for help, a young man strolled through and later another, the young lady still appeared to be doing most of the work, when the queue decreased the two young men stood behind the counter and held a long conversation, and a few minutes they started another long conversation!! the young lady carried on at the machines, they eventually came forward to the counter, at this point the young lady left the counter and cleared all the tables! went with pots into the back and later returned with clean pots, she really did appear to be the only one willing to work and be pleasant at the same time. The two young men should realise that many people would be glad of their job! they weren't pleasant to customers nor patient with elderly people when they were slow to provide cash from their purse. When our toasted teacake was brought to our table, close to the counter, he might as well have thrown it at us. Well done to the the young lady, although she was very busy on her own when we went into the cafe, she had a very kind word for an elderly man leaving Costa. Well done.

The customer service in here was very poor. The lady making and serving drinks in this costa was incredibly rude when handing out drinks. It really put us off the whole experience and we will be using one of the many other coffee shops in Nottingham in the future.

Despite being very busy due to a Saturday leading up to Christmas, we managed to find a table which was clean and the atmosphere was good albeit noisy. Unfortunately my Gingerbread Latte was very disappointing. It didn't taste at all like coffee and I didn't taste any ginger at all. I know it's a fairly milky coffee but it was tasteless. I understand that it was very busy and the staff seemed extremely pressured but for the price I expect a good standard of drink.

Just went in for a coffee. The service was a bit slow but the tables were clear of any pots from previous customers. They seemed to have one young lad whose job it was to do this once a customer had gone. Coffee was to the usual good Costa standard. I will give it 9/10 only because of the slow service.

Después de no haber visitado el Ángel, por casi 10 años, estaba preocupado de que no sería el mismo. Pasamos la mayoría de nuestro tiempo allí, y hacía grandes recuerdos, todos esos años. Sin embargo, parece que el viejo Angel creció justo a tiempo para convertirse en nuestro lugar favorito, todo nuevo!

Over the years Valerie Patisserie as been out 1st port of call for coffee and cake. Today, we noticed on arrival only 2 tables were being used. Said good morning to the lady behind the counter and sat down. From then it all went wrong. Young guy came up go us saying "In future wait to be seated I'm on my own. And if your eating with us your on the wrong table. To low". Neither of us replied as we were totally taken aback. On that we got our belongings and left. Ventured to Cafe Ori and got fab service. 17/04/24 Further to my review I did get a reply back from PV asking me for more details of our experience to which I sent. Including pictures. I then received an email on 11th from their Head of Operations introducing themselves asking if they could call me. No call.

This is a super busy little booth. But just had absolutely incredible service from Rebecca who was lone working and serving people with care and compassion. I wouldn’t have been able to do the same. Thankyou!
