Costa Coffee in Southampton

We ordered just under £50 worth of drinks and hot food from this Costa and when several items didn’t turn up, we called the restaurant. They didn’t care. They just said we should claim a refund from Uber. They didn’t care to inform us or offer alternatives like other Costa shops do, they just couldn’t be bothered to make a couple of coffees and send two slices of cake. Poor poor service. And not the fault of Uber! They only deliver what they’re given.

I’ve been to this Costa a few times and sometimes the customer service is really good and other times the staff can be incredibly slow. I use todo Costa’s click and collect service but they never seemed to be done in the or o staff would just completely forgotten you even ordered it.

I have been h1xere for many years spending a small fortune. Todayi wenr and the that worked there put 2 x chairsi in the middle stopping people with prams getting tnough. I said to the girl and she laughed and told me to get out. I was shocked. I went to the manager Ruben that said he didnt care if I made a complaint he wasnt prepared to serve me he went on to say the they are short staffed and that waa thw reason for him and the other girl to be so so rude. I have never in my life experienced customer service so bad. I then asked Rubern for his managers name. He laugbed and refused to tell me. I will be going back to see if this has been addressed. I think these two are in the wrong jobs

Useless staff, no team work, always claiming can't make cold drinks, seems like laziness to me, if you want coffee always 30 minute wait, staff are rude, i asked why only one coffee machine being used and was told cos it is easier whilst the queue hung out of the door, i use costa a lot, this one is always the worst.

I often pop down to Costa with my 2 young children and always experience great service, even when it’s busy! The staff are really helpful, Hayley even swiftly solved my toddlers meltdown today with some sneaky marshmallows! There’s never a shortage of vegan ham + cheese toasties either which is also a big PLUS 🤩

Hardly busy but service very slow, coffee not up to usual COSTA standards, had I been drinking in would have asked to change.

Went to grab coffee and nobody in queue wearing masks. Just standard sign up but clearly staff are not requesting or refusing entry if no mask. Decided not worth the risk.

Popped in here to grab a coffee while travelling out of Southampton, convenient location, unfortunately a large amount of roadworks were occurring when I stopped her which made getting into the venue difficult but I appreciate this is likely to only be temporary. Coffee was served quickly, £2.50 for a regular black coffee. Only bad point was the toilets were very untidy with toilet paper across the floor at my time of visit.

Skinny latte ok... had the cheese and ham toasty, to be honest it could have done with another minute under the grill , bread was cheap and chewy for that reason..

As we were visiting other shops on the Antelope Park site and it was cold and wet we decided to go into Costa, we have never been to this one but went with its Costa you know whst your getting....how wrong we ordered our drinks which were given to us on a dirt ground in and grubby tray, we went to find a seat in the conservatory type area the tables were all bity and sticky and chairs dirty, before leaving my mother took my son to the toilet and wished she hadn't as they came out and asked for wet wipes and hand gel as it was grubby and especially the door handle seemed dirty. Such a shame as we like costs especially as they meet all the dietary needs of our family but this is one we will not be visiting again 😒

The staff are really friendly and they make you a lovely coffee, friendly atmosphere and nice view . Car park right outside up to 3 hrs

Same old, same old. Nice view of the bursledon road traffic. This is a shame as it has a nice outside area. Comfortable seating inside, but you need to be first in to get it

Se ne trovano tante in tutte le città Uk!!! Qui il servizio era abbastanza lento, caffè non malvagio e ben ristretto. Ambiente confortevole

After being in Greece where the coffee is mani this was perfect. Quick service and delicious coffee served with a smile. X

At times, this Costa is fine. I've been many times before and it's generally okay. Today, it was awful and set my day off to a dreadful start. Without going into details, two of the staff members were perfect - quick, efficient and friendly. The manager today, however, was gruff, rude and abrasive - as has been the case on many occasions. Maybe she was having a bad day but that shouldn't rub off on customers and make them wish they'd gone to Starbucks! Or maybe this just isn't the right job for this particular person. Whichever, it created an unhappy atmosphere and there was a general sigh of relief when she scuttled back (under her rock) into the storeroom.

Not the best Costa, every visit they have run out of something.. No soya, no earlier grey tea. Drinks are OK. Far better Costa at Hedge End retail park and Hedge End village

I wouldn't normally write a review for a Costa. They are on every high street, most cafe-goers will have tried them, and they are all good in my experience, so there's nothing new to say. This branch deserves a review by being the first one...

Tried the Costa coffee just to see what all the fuss is about, had 2 drinks and 2 small slices of cake for £9. Sorry to say that the wow was not there. Might try it again something in the late future.
