Costa Coffee in Charnwood

Drinks were barely warm, syrup and clumps of chocolate powder at the bottom of the cup that hadn’t been mixed. Tried to charge us for 2 large drinks (drinks had already been made and handed to worker in a medium cup)

5 staff so slow, more attentive to drive through than customer in store. Too much talking

Only go sometimes as it's to expensive, especially the food coffee is always good but it is in general everywhere so will go a lot less small coffee is £4.30 and the food is worse you need a mortgage now for Costa

We aren't from the area but fancied a drive out and thought we would stop for coffee. Funnily enough, me or my Dad have been to a Costa Drive Thru before but this one is well laid out with free parking for 2 hours. I cannot stress enough the politeness of the two young ladies who served us (25/8/24 14:30). We joked about McDonald's coffee and I was offered marshmallows and cream and chocolate sprinkles! I was over the moon. Thank you to the two servers, your excellent customer service and banter put a smile on both our faces. We will be back soon ☺️

Kayleigh was incredible with her service. She was dealing with a drive-thru order but insisted on assisting me to determine whether my order was vegan friendly. She was very sweet, kind and well spoken despite having a bad experience with a rude customer earlier. Big shout-out to Kayleigh!!!

We got there an hour before they were meant to close asked for our coffee in cups to sit in the girl who served us said that would be fine but when we went to collect the coffee another girl put the coffee in takeaway cups and made us felt very unwelcome

Rubbish service don’t know what there doing just a load of drips really bring back the old staff there’s new ones are shocking

The floor feels sticky and the chairs are stained. I hope the owner can improve it.

I visited this store on Friday 26 April the staff were very helpful and friendly and when I asked if they could bring my coffee to the table they were happy to help as i have to use a walking stick so I could not manage myself definitely will return

Couldn’t see the food hygiene rating anywhere but I’m guessing it’s not great. Generally unclean looking. The queue was really big. It was really cold in there and the loo is fairly grim. Just seems like the workers don’t care. Needs a manager.

Visited this Costa on a Sunday evening near to closing time. The two ladies that served me, Molly and Kitty, were a delight! Some of the best customer service I’ve ever received! They were incredibly friendly and kind and it truly made my day! I will definitely be back for their phenomenal service and the great drinks!

The guys working here on Friday 10th November around 1pm are fantastic. Brilliant customer service, made their jobs look easy and so nice to have people who are so pleasant, friendly and helpful whilst serving customers- thank you 🤩

Was a good place for a coffee, now just a dump! Tables are often left with dirty cups, plates and messy. The floor is filthy, I know they get busy but shocking what it is like sometimes. Agree with the comment about the flys on the cakes, not good when staff have a cold either and breathing over all of them. Took ages for the coffee to be made, then did not taste great but did not want to mention anything, as the staff were not that friendly. Rip off prices now, can buy more cake in Aldi, for the price of a cake slice there. Wish they would open a Starbucks that was handy......, would see a lot of customers leave. Was that cold in there, I wish I had took a woolly hat with me. Not good overhearing staff saying they want to leave, as it is a rubbish place to work, must be why there was no care over making the coffee.

It's a shame I will not be coming here ever again, your staff here are amazing! But unfortunately due to Costa supporting the Israeli occupation i can no longer buy a coffee knowing my money funds the murders of thousands of children!

Nice coffee and cakes ok. Let down by the filthy interior. Sweep the floors..clean tables and clean windows/ doors.

The worst Costa in the area! Always closed earlier because of staff shortage! They should either sort out their staff issue, or change the management and stop hire unreliable people! So annoying and so frustrating as it wasn't the first time and definitely not the last one of closing earlier than their normal opening time.

Didn't ask what size I wanted and just served large drinks and charged for it (quite a sneaky move) Friendly enough staff but when they ran out of cream for my Hazel Maple Latte, they could've opened another can and just didn't. Despite being quite a new cafe, there are stains on seats which isn't very welcoming. A/C was also on full blast on quite a cold and rainy day. We sat in but in hindsight, might've been better off going through the Drive-thru

We waited 5 minutes until someone acknowledged us. Even washing a jar is more important than say hi. We ordered hot chocolate and cake. Hot chocolate was too sweet and cake was very dry. would not recommend to eat cake here. The atmosphere is ok.

Staff are lovely and friendly, coffee is great but whenever I go to Costa I can never ever get anything from the glass drawer because flies are ALWAYS getting all over the food that’s in there. I don’t get why Costa as a whole can’t just put a screen behind the drawer so flies don’t just touch all the food. Really disappointing and quite gross to look at to be honest.

Great to pop in for a coffee in the drive through. Helps accessibility by staying in the car and more convenient. No need to get my wheelchair out to enjoy a Costa coffee!

Very expensive compared with other coffee shops

Staff are always pleasant and try hard to please. Cakes and sweet treats are expensive for what you get but save BEANS on the App and get a drink free to help costs. Some seating and cushions could do with a good clean as they are showing stains.

Love Costa coffee it's my favourite coffee. They have a good range of toastie type food , and nice cakes. I loved the Christmas range of drinks and treats. It is a little expensive for 2 adults and 2 kids for drinks and food was over £20. I have the loyalty card so do you get a free drink.

This branch has recently improved in comparison to few months ago.

Impeccably clean. Tables cleared really quickly. Engaging staff with a very warm welcome. Definitely will return.

First time using costa coffee in Loughborough. The place was busy which is usual for Costa however the food wasn't up to scratch. The toasties was undercooked so bit disappointed considering I paid £4.95 per toastie.

Staff are always friendly. Waiting times are higher than other outlets. If the service is fast my order has been incorrect.

I went in today for 2 hot chocolates and couldn’t believe what I seen 4 members of staff sitting on the floor taking food out of the fridges and putting it on the floor think they were checking dates as the food was on the floor staff were moving it with their feet that is such a health concern as the staff are in and out of the premises I couldn’t believe the manager was telling them what to do I’ve eaten there before and I’m not happy about it I will be reporting it to their head office and will be contacting Health and safety I thought Costa was a great place but sadly it’s not the people who work there should be ashamed of themselves disgusting behaviour how would they think it was ok to do that 😡😡😡

Lovely atmosphere in this coffee shop, whether coming into the shop or using the drive-thru. Often pop through drive-thru on my way to work All the staff are friendly, and special mention to Arabella - she’s lovely x

Needs a good clean , every table has used cups and rubbish on it , coffee was slow and chocolate was tepid even though asked for extra hot all this and 5 girls busily chatting behind the counter 👍

Nice and clean atmosphere, quite busy on a Friday morning and a bit sluggish to get through the queue if you need to be anywhere but service is friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had 2 Lattes. Very nice. Only thing to critise was that tables didn't get cleared quick enough, maybe due to lack of staff. Need someone out front keeping tables cleared.

Staff are always friendly, place is always busy but the staff manage to keep up with the quality even with the quick pace of customers. Always very clean and tidy staff are very quick to tidy up and wipe everything down. Kid friendly. Been going here for years with family for a quick coffee and catch up and never had an issue. Keep up the good work guys xx

Very disappointed on my latest visit- they had no vegan savoury options... paninis, toasties, no bacon bap ect. The coffee is always nice, especially the latte specials (oat and almond options). But very frustrating I can never seem to eat there. They said they hadn't had any deliveries of the vegan options. Also had to queue for quite a while. On weekends it would be good to have more staff when busy.

A great Costa right next to a large Aldi. Far enough out of Loughborough for it not to be busy, but not too far that it's a trek to get there. Great service every time, and there's even a drive thru if that appeals to you.

After having a really rubbish start to the week the barista that was on today (young girl messy bun and glasses ) absolutely made my day great customer service 👍😀
