Up to usual standard but rather noisy

Nice spacious Nero serving the same quality of coffee and hot chocolate that we have come to love. Service were efficient and staff very friendly. Plenty of seating including seats outside.

This place has become a tradition in the family for seven years now...

Can sometimes be a wait to get drinks, which I guess is a good sign as they are busy. Always clean and tidy and staff are really friendly.

Always busy but a nice Nero for a coffee

Lovely experience throughout our latest visit at this branch, where Callum offered a splendid service and made us feel welcome from the outset. The coffee was lovely too, would definitely visit again.

We like the location, right in the middle of the Market Place.

I was waiting to be served. A staff member blew her nose twice. Did not wash her hands. She then began making a frappe for a colleague and began coughing. Didn't cover her face or look away. She then picked up a plastic frappe cup with the hand she used to blow her nose with and put two fingers inside the cup and thumb outside. I asked her if she had washed her hands and she told me it was none of my business and nothing to do with me. I explained what I had seen and again she said "it's none of your business mate." Told me to mind my own business.

Most of the coffees here are bitter, except caramel latte. By the way the atmosphere is great for studying or working

My father who is an older gentleman has had such lovely service this afternoon from a happy, helpful and friendly member of staff, it has made my day, thank you so much, only thing I really do wish someone would clean the toilets!

The best staff ever!! Their coffee is always the best and Nero overall is my favourite coffee chain in the UK. Compared to other shops it is reasonably priced and has high quality coffee.

24th December 2023 @ 13.50 blonde lady at counter was very rude. Normally just go Costa Coffe down the road who serve with a smile and our very polite. Went in today to place a order for a small hot chocolate to drink in store which was very nice, but when taking the order the blonde lady just said what do you want, is this how you serve customer, no smile, looks like she was being forced to work here. All can be checked on camara, if you want a good customer service go down the road to Costa Coffe who server with a smile and respect. Highly not recommended.

Toilets are filthy and stink of feces. The place is just generally dirty. Cutlery was unclean. Didn’t dare look to hard at the cups or anything else. It’s grim.

Very pleasant coffee shop: smart and comfortable interior, good food and drink options and good location too. This was our first visit and we'd happily come here again.

I used to enjoy this coffee shop. But my wife had her take out order taken by someone? Now, the coffee shop is more like a student hang out area than a space for coffee and a nice snack. What a shame........

I’ve visited Caffe Nero in Loughborough on a few occasions and each time I have I’ve always received super friendly and engaging service from Em, she truly is an asset to this store - I’ll make sure to return my custom here whenever I visit Loughborough.

Coffee was the usual high standard but I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and positive attitude of one of the staff. Shaved head and slim she really made me feel welcome. Well done Nero!

Tables are not cleared and cleaned straight away when customers leave, could do with better lighting maybe some music ...

Decaf Americano was very tasty. Tuna melt had a lot of chilli or pepper and gave me a headache.

Great staff and calm atmosphere but the toilets are filthy. Disabled toilet out of order and the other toilet doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned at all. Come on management this is really unacceptable.

Helpful staff and lots of choice of food and cakes

Had coconut milk cappuccinos were very nice. Pleasant atmosphere inside Caffè Nero. There was however only one toilet for everyone to use. There was urine all over the floor and the toilet seat. Needless to say I took one look and didn't even go in. I would not go back to this Cafe Nero as cleanliness and hygiene is top on my list and although I can't fault the baristas, the toilet cleanliness should be maintained more regularly and checked as there is only one for customers to use.

Great coffee, yummy pastries and nice place to sit, suitable for students to study as long as they want with free wifi. The only thing is that almost all the tables has a sticky feeling which I am not sure if it’s because they’re filthy or they are old. Also the staff is a bit grumpy almost all the time.

The food is very very beautiful the service is execelant and we verymuch enjoyed the time we spent in that atmosphere thank you for hasting us and God willing we will came back again

We have tried 3 of their drinks (1 Mocha, 1 Iced Americano and 1 Chai Latte), and none of the drinks stood out in terms of taste vs their competitors. The service is very nice however, and the seatings are comfortable. I hope they do something about taste.

The staff are friendly. Everything is way overpriced. Cakes and sandwiches are tasty and of good quality. No way should a standard 250ml hot chocolate cost £4.50. Too much, there was nothing special about it, it didn't have any cream, marshmallows or chocolate sprinkles, I didn't even get a song or dance which I would expect at that price.

My first visit to this cafe. Couldn't believe it when I ordered 2 coffees and was told the cost was £7.20 . Won't be visiting again.

The best 'chain' coffee shop in Loughborough - their coffee is much nicer than that served at Costa - but there are nicer alternatives close by, for example Olivia's on Market Street.

Lovely friendly and efficient staff, always busy but normally can get a seat. Never had to sit at an uncleared table. Beats Costa by far, and the cappuccinos are better with a lot better selection of cakes too!

Lemon cake was stale and overpriced. The only working toilet was disgusting. Huge plunger next to the toilet, tissues and what I hope was only water all over the floor. Should use some of the profits from the overpriced cakes and coffee to pay for someone to keep these areas clean. First time I have visited and will never go again.

This place seriously needs a deep clean. The floors are filthy with stains and bits of crud. The tables are stained and look as if they are never cleaned. The door window has a million finger marks on it and all this was early in the morning

A large and well furnished Nero's in the centre of Loughborough. Few staff and plenty of customers. They're quite efficient though. All good!

OCT 2022 Update I still come and think it's a superb coffee house. I do like how some staff really do go out their way to make a great coffee and in this day and age is great to see. As was shown today with my late night coffee from an excellent barista. It rates as one of the best Caffè Neros I've been to in the UK. Some interesting reviews to date. But personally i do like this store, great cofffee and staff (par a few exceptions in the past). I think they are getting better and certain staff members are definitely better than others but on the whole i do really like this Nero. I think the Soya porridge is really good here too and they actually spend some time to make it properly unlike elsewhere on the high street. Wait times are the same in both coffee houses but after being a loyal customer to the other one i'm beginning to prefer Nero coffee more and more.

Good place to have coffee and cake

The Loughborough Caffe Nero is my closest and even though I travel about a fair bit, it's also my favourite. It's one of the largest I've been in and with long opening hours (7am to 19:30pm) makes it the perfect place to relax at any time of the day. Great window seats to watch the world go by, spacious and a great variety of seats to pick your favourite spot. It's certainly a great example of what coffee shop culture is all about, stepping in off the street for a coffee or whatever your favourite beverage may be... to relax and unwind in the coffee shop bubble atmosphere... recharging your batteries before heading out into the world and going again until your next visit 😊 Great coffee, great staff and a great atmosphere to enjoy it all in.

Me and my partner regularly come here, to have a coffee, hot chocolate, iced frappe or milkshake. Sometimes we have lunch or a yummy cake too. We sit and catch up together, sharing quality time, on the comfy chairs and watch the world go by 💜 Most of the staff are very friendly. A couple of them know our drinks as soon as they see us, which is really nice 😊 The opening hours are great too, as they stay open, when everywhere else is closing. Outside seating too. Cafe Nero is the best cafe I went to. Me and my dad always go to this cafe. Staff was too kind. The food drink was cheap. It has outdoor table so you can can eat outside. Dogs are allowed to to come. It has own app cafe Nero, both devices iOS and Android. The queue is short not very long.

Staff is good, coffee is good. But cleanliness is disaster! Please improve your cleaning of tables, floors, seating and toilet as it can be very off putting and not sanitary. Especially considering the health problems experienced.

As with all chain coffee houses the coffee is rather expensive but the helpful and friendly staff and calming ambience more than make it a worthwhile destination for a cuppa.

Good coffee. Not much more to say lol. They offer non dairy milks for those that need and a few eats for those needing dairy or gluten free but not a massive range.

We go and have been visiting Loughborough for many years and today Friday 18th March 2022 was the first time we have visited Nero here. Was amazed how big the premises was with lots of seating. The staff taking orders and making drinks were very friendly and customer focussed. The coffees were hot and very nice. will certainly visit again

Shockingly filthy. Crumbs and spilt coffee on table. Food on chairs. General dirt, grime and detritus on the floor. Dust on every surface. If the coffee was paid for what it's worth, as in "4 in a Bed" I would have paid 2p for it. No redeeming factors whatsoever.

Went in and experienced slow service and arrogant/rude girl on the counter. Won't be back. Disappointing as I used to like cafe Nero.

The place was very clean. Although it was busy the tables were regularly cleared and cleaned. Good selection of food and snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful.

So unfortunate the place looks run down and unkempt. TOILETS are smelly and dirty. Will have a coffe here as a last resort only.owners should put some money in this place. However the staff is amazing!
