Costa Coffee in Wirral

It was extremely busy so the place was a bit of a mess. The service was good and friendly

Great layout, great service. No parking provided but car parks nearby.

Really friendly staff. Really clean tables, floor and toilets. Really lovely coffee. What's not to like?

Very poor service today, assistant insisted I used free drink when I specifically said not, gave one of our drinks to person behind! Toilet floor in a disgusting state. Whole experience disappointing as this is usually an efficient and friendly service!

Served by olly today. Large group in queue. He was quick with all orders. And barrista was great customer service.

The prices!? Why go to a soulless chain when the ice cream place next door has better coffee and great people? Or, support any of the cafes in town.

Clean , tidy , lots of seating spaces. Cakes food and coffees was great

10th march 24, Ordered 2 coffees and 2 frappé for the kids, got the coffee and was told by the girl serving she will shout us when the frappé s are ready. 8 mins later the kids say where our drink. As we look up the girl is giving people at the counter (who came in after us 2 frappés). So we go up to the counter and ask about our drinks to which she says oh I made them all together... But our drinks have not been made and the other customers walk out with 2 drinks that we have been waiting for. Said to the girl that our drinks should have been made first, to which she said well I made them together.... Which she didn't because ours aren't ready. Another 5 minutes and finally our drinks are ready. This girl who was serving at about 2.45 pm has no customer service skills or manners at all. She did not apologise in any way for her poor judgment. Poor service provided by Costa west kirby.

Had a lovely experience in Costa staff are lovely and the food is great we tried the new warm milkshakes and oh my they are delicious we will most definitely be going back to try the other two flavours, 😊Thank you Costa

My daughter and I love Costa very much because it is very cozy here, the employees are kind and attentive, and Costa supports children in Africa

Very friendly staff, food was nice and hot. However they started to block off areas for cleaning at 16:30, even though the cafe didn't close until 18:00.

Visited today. I have never been into this Costa before. Greeted by friendly, polite staff. Order taken promptly. Coffee and cake presented well. Took a seat in the orangerie area which is surrounded by dark grey wooden shutters on the windows. Then I noticed that the shutters are thick with dust. They need cleaning asap. The flooring also looks very tired. All in all, great service, great coffee, great cake but a very drab tired looking interior that could do with a clean and a spruce up.

Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, although a bit generic and the coffee is average. But a good place to relax 👍

Excellent coffee, outside seating area

A great place for a quiet coffee, get a window table and watch the world go by. The coffee is excellent, the staff helpful , it is clean and tidy and you can usually find a seat.

The coffee and food is very good and the staff are always polite and friendly, however as with all Costa branches it is quite expensive

They made an awfully milky flat white which tasted rubbish and staff were terribly rude when returning the coffee for another drink. Never coming back and really don't recommend expecting a good coffee as you would be wasting your money.

Not a particular Costa fan but nice enough place and was open earlier than anywhere else so far as we could see.

The best coffee you can get. I quite like McDonalds coffee too, but its not a patch on Costa ;)

Brilliant service, excellent social distancing measures, separate door for entrance and exit. Clean and tidy shop and found staff very professional and courteous.

Once again, very well organised and spaced out. There was a queue this morning, but very pleased to report everyone was well behaved! Beautiful coffee, as always and a lovely friendly young lady

It is a terrible Costa with the worst one way system ever. Only one of them works on an order at any one time which means the other 2/3 just hang around behind the bar doing nothing. A truly dreadful experience waiting for ages because the staff don't have the wit to use the large space they have intelligently.

Took over 25 minutes to get a Large Latte and a Large Cappuccino (which wasn't a Cappuccino) even though there were 4 members of staff behind the counter. One serving whilst the other 3 stood gossiping. While I was waiting in a growing queue, a lady asked where she should stand as she had pre ordered her drinks on the app. A staff member told her very condescendingly that she had to go back out and come back in as she turned around to do as she was told the other staff members found this quite funny and openly laughed as the ladies back was turned. I for one wouldn't be using this Costa again and hopefully this review will be used when training your staff on how not to treat customers. Sunday 21/02 around 3.30pm

Via the costa app I placed a order for 2 coffees and cake. I placed order at approx 1340 but due to a traffic jam I arrived at your West Kirby branch approx 25mins later. Assuming the coffees would be warm at best now I asked 2 of the staff if they could reheat the coffees. Only to be told it is to late to reheat coffees and I will have to take them as is or order and pay for 2 more coffees. The coffees were only warm so I left them. I was taken aback to say the least by the lack of sympathy and understanding by the 2 staff and left very dissatisfied and disappointed. I will never use Costa again which is a shame as I have used a number of your shops over the many years I have been with Costa. Regards from a very disillusioned ex customer.

I really want to love this Costa as I really like the brand to be honest I’d rarely leave a scathing review on any business but honestly this Costa is awful. Considering how expensive the franchise is and the rent on the huge store. It cost me £11 for the most disgusting and 2/3 coffee I’ve ever had that I asked to me made not too hot but was heated to what feels like 100000 degrees and burnt all my mouth off. The cappuccino was equally as disgusting and the toastie was squashed so all the filling came out inside the packet. Honestly, the worst Costa ever!

Costa took my order, took my money on the app, but refused to serve the drink in store. Poor attitude from staff did not help and no proof I will get a refund. Really disappointed

This would not have been my choice for a meeting as this area is rich in individual cafes and coffee shops and all offer as good or better coffee than this - and at a better price!

Place to chill out and Relax first time I went in the Costa Coffee.

Looking forward to visiting. We went today 10.30am, only 2 staff members in. All 5 tables around us had dirty cups plates on. Filthy place. Didn't expect it to be this bad, especially during the pandemic, when you don't want to have to move other people's dishes so you can sit down. Probably not the staff's fault. Maybe employ someone else to help? No way going back.

Calm place, good for chat with friends

Decent service and coffee, good range of snacks and cakes. Not impressed with set up for Covid. There was a QR code on tables for people to self register for track and trace but hardly anyone using it and I didn’t hear staff mention it to any customers. So effectively no track and trace enforced, very poor.

All I can say is staff need a lesson in customer service. Gave wrong drinks rice and no apology or refund. I am shocked by this behaviour as normally staff in costas I visit are friendly and want to serve u. My advice stay away from this one

The shop was very well layed out and everyone , including the staff were social distancing. It was delightful with the discount as well. The cheese toastie was extordinary and the Rolo Muffin was so rich and had a lot of texture.🍰☕🥪

First visit to Costa West Kirby and they didnt disappoint.Being in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic we had to queue to get in for a coffee.Health & Safety procedures followed to a high standard and staff were efficient and friendly.Coffee was excellent as always with Costa.Will visit again when we are able to sit down inside as not a big lover of takeaway coffee.If you enjoyed reading my review and looking at my photos then dont forget to like them.👍

As ever, my experience was very good.

Had lunch there and got stale crisps now have food poisoning, I will not be recommending you or coming back!

This costa is a very pleasant place to have coffee. Staff very friendly especially the manageress. Always clean. Coffee not too strong and toastier really nice. We go quite a lot to this one as it is one of the best.

Thoroughly enjoyed this obviously busy little coffee house yet it was peaceful to sit and relax to enjoy my chai tea latte best I've tasted for a while. Seems a popular venue for young people coming out of school sat at tables doing their homework...a sight to be seen..staff attentive and keeping on top waiting tables to keep clean ..

Went in for coffee and toast this morning, the filter coffee was cold as it was the end of the perculator, so they had to make more to serve me. I asked for toast well done, it came half toasted while waiting for more coffee the toast was cold. Disaster we won't be returning.

Very disappointing food like rubber (toastie) hot chocolate neither hot nor with any tasst of chocolate and a complete absence of the cream and toppings shown in the advertising.... Expensive rubbish

As a regular costa customer I was disappointed with my 1st visit to this bch. The table could have done with a good wipe down. The store was not busy so no excuse there. The large skinny latte was luke warm and not up to the usual standard of coffee very flat no froth on top. Large hot choc with the works again could have been hotter.

Not a place I normally go as I like to support individual tea shops but plesantly supprised. Lovely staff. Friendly and efficiant.

Because our usual coffee stop was closed for holidays we arranged to go to Costa in West Kirby. Greeted by two really motivated staff PoV and her team really looked after us!My coffee was splendid and served with a smile . Very handy pit stop after walking from Hoylake to West Kirby. Could do with extending its breakfast options though. Although the porridge was nice.

Visited for the first time on a Monday morning the lady serving was fantastic and hot chocolate was delicious. We sat in the conservatory like area which is lovely and modern. Was disappointed with the levels of dust on the blinds more than a few weeks old.

As much as I’d rather like this costas to be an independent coffee shop it is what it is and it ain’t bad.I felt the staff were very friendly. There’s plenty room to sit and it’s quite airy around the til. Usual Costa selection. Loads of windows so it feels quite open. Different seats to chose from.Had a nice hot chocolate here.

West Kirby Costa is a lovely setting. Clean, bright and modern interior. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Friday afternoon full of school children. Most of whom had bought nothing. Was told to move from table I had chosen as staff wanting to clean there even though hour and half before closing. Not happy!
