Costa Coffee in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.

This Costa is amazing, we visit every time we go to Cornwall and have never had a bad experience here. The place is clean, warm and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Despite it being very busy, the staff were absolutely brilliant. Friendly, polite and cheerful. Very impressed……

Usual Costa experience. Friendly staff, good coffee, quick service. Not visited this branch before but was clean and tidy inside.

Went in today to get a coffee. It was so busy in there and the staff remained calm and polite. Want to give a shout out to Sophie ( think that was your name on your badge) who had a lady be rude to her and had her refund everything. You handled it so incredibly well. Would highly recommend.

No serviettes and very dirty inside, its unclean and the toilets are gross, would not recommend and says a lot about the hygiene of what is going on behind the counter.

Please clean your toilets absolutely disgusting to find out that I had been to the ladies / mens toilet this morning to find it the outside of the toilet bowl covered in human faeces , your shop had been open 10 mins at this point , please do better this is not acceptable for an establishment that serves food and drink !!

Stopped for a coffee and the staff were very very nice. Comfortable surroundings and clean. Quite a range of drinks and food to choose from and in a good location.

We popped into here fo a quick drink. It's your typical costa, so nothing different to any others really. Staff were pleasant and friendly and brought our drinks oder over to us when it was made up.

Just an average coffee shop, couldn't get Blue Mountain Coffee as there apparently is no call for it. Cakes and pastries are average.

Caffè Costa liegt mitten in der Stadt. Zum Hafen sind es nur wenige Gehminuten. Die schmale Eingangsfassade täuscht. Innen tut sich ein großzügiger Gästeraum auf. Wie überall holt man sich an der Theke die Ware selbst und sucht sich dann einen Platz. Der Cappuccino schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Dieser wird traditionsgemäß mit dem Costa Logo -den drei Kaffeebohnen- dekoriert. Es gibt drei Größen Cappuccino. für den kleinen bezahlt man GBP 2.45.

Popped in for a coffee, place looked unclean decided to use the toilet first. Absolutely disgusting, can’t recall ever seeing a filthier toilet in my life. Grabbed my husband and walked out didn’t want to attempt coffee or food after seeing the toilets.

I am a confirmed Costa drinker and like to check out different stores. Popped in here today while in the town and have to say I’m very impressed. It was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. The service was good and the drinks were very good.

I come into this costa quite a lot when meeting friends. I have never had a problem with it in the past, but just recently the service and the conduct of staff has gone down hill. Tables re rarely cleared, it takes a very long time for drinks to be made and they can be rude to customers. I am lactose intollerent, thus needing dairy alternatives in my drinks. Other costas are generally happy to accomodate this as, being a waitress myself, I know how hard it can be, especially as any allergy wrongdoing can fall back on them personally. However, this one particular day I went in and asked for a drink with coconut milk instead of normal milk. The guy behind the counter said that that was fine, however it is 40p more. I aggreed as coconut milk is the only dairy alternative I can drink in resturants. However, the barista behind the counter sighed and told me that they were "unable to do this as it contaminates our equipment and they cant clean it." Innitially I thought nothing of it and just brought a bottle of juice instead, but after thinking about it, I'd had that drink many times in other costas and was quite upset and humiliated that she had said this to me infront of a long queue of people. Just before I was about to leave I went to the counter to speak to her but she was nowhere to be seen so I left, however I will not be returning as I feel that the customer service is appauling and not something I'd expect from a coffee shop that I regularly go into.

Apparently the manager was off, that is what we were told several times during our service which took 25 minutes for two drinks?! Service was shocking, dirty cups all over the tables, I was about to embark on a 5 hour journey to London (which ended up taking 10). I need this coffee for my journey and I was shocked and appalled at the service provided. At one point the phone rang one employee took the call and the other employee was clearing the room after they could see we had all been waiting for 15 minutes. Absolute shambles.

Always go here for a bit of lunch as I am disabled and there is usually great seating for me and the coffee is great.

Nice Costa Coffee unit in Wharfside shopping centre, this unit always seems to be busy when we call in. A number of tables needed clearing but otherwise ok. Coffee always made as we request, very good.

My medium mint frostino was in a glass cup , unlike normally a generous plastic milkshake cup. It was pathetic for the money and drunk in a matter of 2 minutes. Whereas it normally takes me 15 . Disappointing and will not be coming back here . Have not seen these tumblers used before and they contain considerably less.

We was told that our baby was too loud and we need to settle her, which we was trying. I found this very rude, it's not like there was many people in there.

Having lived in the Penzance area for over 5 years, I thought it would be high time to finally explore my local Costa for the first time today.My experience was interesting, to say the least: The interior of the venue was dingy and disorganised. The staff behaved as though they are volunteers rather than paid employees. When I ordered my coffee (carelessly made and overpriced), I was met with a scowl of disdain from the corpulent cashier.In whatever the circumstance, the willing customer should never be made to feel like he caused a rift by dint of his munificent patronage. Let this be a lesson to the Costa Management: Train your staff properly!

I've been to many Costas, usually I enjoy the drinks (especially hot chocolates), even if the prices are a little steep. However, I was really disappointed when I ordered a Black Forest hot chocolate and watched as the girl making it struggled to get syrup out of the dispenser so instead of getting another one out she left it with hardly any syrup - which i payed nearly £4 for. The service wasn't very friendly today, and I was met with some hostility when I took my drink back to the counter and politely asked for some more syrup as my drink lacked any taste, 'Tuba' was fairly unfriendly to this request. I feel quite let down with both my drink and the service it came with.Many of my peers have had similar experiences with this particular Costa shop too; complaining about how skimpy staff are with syrups, the drinks here are generally prepared quite lovelessly.

Costa in Penzance is inside The Wharfside shopping centre. Phew we've found it! Two entrances the one from Market Jew St is on the level, the entrance opposite the carpark on Wharf Road is via an escalator.

I love Costa - drinks are made just to suit me. Pleasant atmosphere and cake treats if required. Good chill out place

Although the café wasn't crowded at all it took them twenty minutes to prepare two drinks to go. TheThe drinks were prepared loveless. Not to be recommended for people who only want to rush by and grab some coffee :-(

Always get a good coffee here and the staff are helpfulLike all Costa, it is annoying to wait, especially when busy, often means you don't get a seat.The biggest downside is that inside it is a bit dark. It needs more windows, but they can't easily change the location (except there is a large cafe that is vacant with a great view just down the way).All in all, I like it here.

This establishment is situated just off the main street and is at the top end of the escalator from the harbour side car park. Plenty of comfortable seats and outside seating is also available. The hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream is superb.

Stopped here for Coffee and Snack on Tuesday 7th March, only a small Costa but with quick and efficient service, with well made and hot cappuccino coffee's!!

There werent too many people in here on my visit,and i got served reasonably quickly and the chocolate brought over to me.However i didnt think it tasted so particularly wonderful but still drank it.The staff were very friendly and when i pointed out there was water all over the disabled toilet floor,someone immediately without questioning it went and got a mop and bucket.Thing is was when had the toilet last been checked on??? Though of course these things can happen in 2 minutes

Friendly and quick service. Good coffee (as usual) and offering all the usual Costa foods. Opportunity to drink outside under limited cover.

Lovely place to come with family and friends to relax after shopping or before you go shopping the staff are very friendly and professional to us. They even get orders the way you would like it even if its not on the menu. I would definitely highly recommended them to friends and family :)

Cosy warm n friendly. Not the largest but if you get a comfy seat your laughing. Drinks are always good. Toilets are clean. Pop in quite often. Big weakness for chocolate twists

The service was pleasant and friendly, also efficient. They seem particularly good at this Costa at speeding up the work pace if there is a queue, and mostly managing to remain warm and welcoming. That's a skill not all cafe's show, especially some other branches of Costa.This coffee shop is popular locally, and it had a good atmosphere on this occasion.My main critical bit of feedback would be that the regular banging of the coffee grounds holder to empty it can be quite intrusive in conversations, is it not possible to muffle it in some way. I doubt I'm the only person who finds that intrusive. I realise that Costa are not the only ones who do this. But some coffee shops manage to avoid it, so it is possible.Beyond that, whilst I found the lemon tart to be lovely, and genuinely lemony. I find Costa cakes a tad on the pricey side. £10 doesn't go far. But again, they are not the only ones with these sort of prices. In my experience, good food can be had for less elsewhere in town.Overall, a pleasant visit with nice atmosophere.

Always a pleasure to visit PenAnce Costa. The staff are nice and friendly and always get the order perfect, it's always clean and tidy with no rubbish lying around.

Clean and good service from the staff. Was very busy but I was served quickly and politely. My only complaint would be the lack of phone signal, but they do have free wifi to make up for this.

Usual great quality drinks and friendly staff make the sometimes high prices justified. Well worth a visit when in Penzance

Being a Costa addict, I sought this place out on the first day of my holiday, and visited about four times during the week. Always clean, and the staff are very friendly, coffee is excellent.

It was a lovely morning during my tour of cornwall. I had a coffee in costa. the place was clean the staff were pleasant and friendly and the coffee was really good. If you are ever in Penzance I would recommend a visit to Costa Coffee.

Mature lady serving me remembered my preferences and ensured I was welcomed. Good newspapers, spacious seating, clean toilets and good food.

Situated very near the front and Quays its a great venue for a coffee whilst waiting to board the ferry to the Isles of Scilly
