Costa Coffee in South Oxfordshire

I come here a couple of times a week for somewhere quiet to work with a hot drink. The staff are excellent - I have a slightly complicated drink order and they get it right every single time. Comfy seating, nice and quiet, perfect atmosphere for a supermarket cafe. 5/5

Took a relatively comfortable seat (but needed a wipe down due to old crumbs etc ) at Cosco in Tesco, Didcot whilst I waited for a stereo to be fitted in my car at Halfords across the way. Ordered an Almond croissant and a cappuccino. Quick service (cafe was pretty quiet), very good coffee, but reason for only 2* is because the croissant was like a brick and must have been days old and it was like sitting in a fridge! Asked if the Aircon could be lowered, but apparently not because the staff would get hot! If you don't mind the crap food, selfish customer service, but enjoy a good coffee - do use this cafe, but whatever you do, don't forget a blanket!!

I could not understand a word the person serving coffee was saying. A very strong foreign accent. She got my coffee order wrong and had not got a clue. Very frustrating. She rattled on and did not seem to get that I wanted a small flat white and not a large one. I pointed to the menu and she just shook her head. She then thought I wanted to take it away. I didn’t.

I come to Costa every Sunday in Tesco at 9:30 to have a coffee and breakfast before I start my weekly shop. I never usually have any problems. Sometimes it’s a little busier. Other times it can be quiet. But never, have I ever seen so much chaos as I have as the last 2 days. There’s a lady here called Jamie and she is just causing so much carnage. The shop used to run well. Everyone knew what they was doing and now it’s just horrendous. I’m appalled at the time in which I’ve had to wait on 2 seperately occasions. If things carry on, I’ll take my custom elsewhere. Not happy.

Service sooooo slow. Next time I will bring a sleeping bag and overnight kit.... or maybe go elsewhere

Costa is Costa so it's pretty typical of what you would expect but I've always has really good and friendly service here whatever time I go.

The service was definitely better here this time than last but as another reviewer has said cleanliness is often an issue not just at this Costa either. I often have to reject the first couple of cups that I am given/offered which usually results in a member of staff having to go through all the cups to find me one without a ring around the inside or some other evidence of it's last use. Please Costa sort this out, it happens in many of your outlets and is unacceptable given the hygiene ratings that your outlets claim. Otherwise the toasted sandwiches and cakes were lovely as ever.

Popped in for a tea and cake whilst my car was being valeted. Order two cups of de-caf tea ( first mistake ) and a raspberry bakewell tart ( second mistake ). The tea was like dirty water the de-caf tea bags are just not strong enough to put in a pot " a cup yes a pot no". Had to take the bakewell tart back it was solid, the waiter said this some times happens as they get missed from the day before ( who's managing this place ? ), the second one was on the edge of stale. Next time I get the car valeted I'll take a flask.

One thing I see at too many UK food serving outlets is dirty cutlery and crockery. Unfortunately that’s my issue today. Dried left over food on the knife and the plate. I don’t think this is acceptable. I have seen this at several Costa branches, so they need to fix this general process problem. It’s a pity that this happens because the service is generally good (today’s was very good) and the food and beverage is great.

The car wash at Tesco is brilliant, one problem is that you have to kill time while you wait, the bigger problem is that Costa is really the only option. We had a simple order, they made three mistakes with no apology or real acknowledgement. The place is chaotic even when it’s not busy and it’s not particularly clean. Not a huge fan of Costa anyway, but this is probably the worst one I’ve visited.

Badly managed, dirty tables and sofa seating areas, waited 15 mins for a flat white, very disappointed, try one of the independent coffee shops in Wantage for a better experience.

Well what can I say about this particular branch, sadly nothing good. I visit regularly as it's walking distance from my house. The staff are always unfriendly and miserable, the wifi has never worked and the only response is a shrug and 'I dunno then' from staff, and everything is so dirty! It doesn't feel like a treat coming here, it feels run down, miserable and no one cares. Sorry folks, whoever manages this store needs to get in there and sort it out! Other Costa stores are lovely, this one isn't!

This is written about the Costa Coffee at Milton Services just off A34 as previous reviewer said make sure to take 2nd turn off not first else you will be in offices area. we stopped here on way down south from Cheshire on the Friday, when a customer asked for a refund - ALL the staff felt the need to get involved and stop serving the other customers - that is until a drivethru came when someone jumped to serve them. This treating drivethru customers better than the restaurant customers happened again and also on my subsequent visit during the return trip on Monday. To go back to Friday what I wanted was not in the chiller so I had something else that I could eat,only to see the chiller get filled up just as we started to eat. So on Monday when what I wanted was not there I asked and got a really rude put response along the lines " of if it isn't there then we don't have it" the member of staff was really just not interested as again as soon as she had said that she went off to serve a drivethru rather than help me to find something else that I could eat. To top it off my husband paid and then realised that 2 other drinks were on our bill - the staff seemed totally unable to firstly understand what was wrong and then to be able to put it right. It took three attempts to produce a bill that was correct and then more trouble before the refund was sorted out. In short there are other places to go to eat at this site and that is where we will be going on our frequent trips south.

Stopping off on the way south on the A34, this Costa Coffee is ideally situated just off the roundabout - just be careful to take the second exit on the first. Great Costa Coffee - Well recommended with friendly serving staff.

The usual Cost-A-Lot coffee. I popped in whilst I was having my car washed in the Tesco hand car wash. The cafe was very busy and the service was slow. The coffee was over priced as usual but it is good coffee.

Very poor service, took 20 minutes to serve me a coffee all the girl seemed to be interested in was to take the money and not to help the 1 lady that was making the coffee's, it got to the stage that I was just about to leave due to my coffee taking so long when eventually it turned up.. The girl on the till just said they were short of staff and there was nothing she could do, maybe she could multi task..!! Or maybe they had too many customers and it was our fault for all turning up at once... Nice unit just shame about the lack of customer service..!

Called in for a quick cuppa, usual Costa standards. The cafe was clean and tidy, just what you would expect. Opted for a Tuna Pannini and it wasn't too bad.

Usually the coffee is o..k.. - never amazing... but today it didn't taste like coffee at all and was hardly even warm! Think I'm going to try somewhere else when getting coffee before work...

Wanted a break while travelling Leicester to Basingstoke. Service very slow. Lemon cake amazing. Tables dirty. Ended up clearing one ourselves so we could sit down.

Servicio etc. todo bien. Sin embargo, la pastelería era muy seco y duro. ofreció voluntariamente a cambio, pero todo el dolor pasas au eran similares ... totalmente en coche y comestible. Fué cambiado a un toque que no me gusta, y esto no era fresca.

Ive been stopping here ever since it opened..the original staff were amazing..as times gone by the service remains good but, with the changes in staff and the pressure to serve coffee quickly via a process that 'takes as long as it takes' has resulted in many staff changes and a loss of the fresh, bubbly crew that were initially present when it opened. Its still a great place to stop, the staff are very obliging and the coffee and bacon rolls are great!

Efficient staff, good service. Chocolate Babychino for the 2 grandsons with marshmallows hit the target. Wife had pot of tea, while I had my usual Cafe Latte. The grandsons also had gingerbread sea stars, which were also very good. Ideal situation inside Tesco's super market.

I went here to have a sit down and relax with my partner whilst we waited to collect our son.We had a coffee, a tea, and some cake.The tea was tea, I'm told the coffee was good and so was the cake.My major concern is that whilst the staff were in the middle of cleaning, the left a vacuum in the middle of the floor for anyone to trip over.I could see no warning signs to advise they were cleaning.There was also no warning of trailing leads.Come on people, have you never heard of no win no fee claims?

I am a regular visitor. Nice venue with good selection of coffee and other beverages. Staff are very good, for a 'services' type place. It's a little pricy for a place outside London.

stopped for coffee on two occasions. Good coffee , a little slow service , but somewhere else to go.Quite a few people using it as a free office.Lots of space good size tables .Comfortable chairs.Lots of natural light with large open design.

Based in Milton just off A34 and relatively new. Very busy with both drive thru and seated customer. Service was a little slow event with 5 staff. As there are no services on this part of the A34 it will be popular and good alternative to the Mcdonalds opposite.
