Costa Coffee in Crawley

The workers are poorly trained and very bad mannered. They are unfriendly and impolite, often yelling at customers. They lack communication skills as they hardly listen properly to customer. It is obvious that they are unable to deal with work pressure and the result is poor service.

An average Costa but with airport charges! Have visited this Costa many times over the years. It’s now vastly larger than in the early days so plenty of seating. Coffee was good and food offerings, same as all Costa’s Good location adjacent to arrivals.

After being away for a month this was our first stop before heading to the car park. Handy location right in front of you on exiting into arrivals area. Large seating area which is broken up into smaller spaces. Always good to have a decent hot drink as a reminder of what you can potentially miss when travelling abroad. Every time we’ve visited here there’s always been plenty of staff and so any queue moves quickly. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for clearing tables or sweeping floors. Can appear busier than you might expect but noticed a number of “customers” were in fact waiting for arriving passengers and not actually making any purchase.

The staff here were all very friendly and helpful. There wasn’t a huge selection of gluten free food on offer. The cappuccino made with almond milk was good though 😋

I visited this Costa on arrival at 0100 on 6/10/19 to find only one staff member and a long queue so gave up and went to Caffe Nero. I re-visited around 0930 the following morning and the queue was longer with still only one member of staff, again went elsewhere. Poor!

The restaurant in the Sofitel foyer area was a bit pricey and we didn't want a full English breakfast, so it was convenient to go out to Costa to bring back a couple of sandwiches for much less.

Visited here in the evening to get drinks to take back to the hotel room at the airport. Several members of staff working, but only 1 taking orders which meant a queue formed. Drinks were ok.

Tried to get assistant managers attention by asking a question, no response so I asked again and replied with ‘wait a minute’ as a fellow barista very disappointed

Good coffee and treats. Costa design teams in the modern cafes have got it spot on. Open spaces, nice seating and relaxed ambiance makes this Costa in Horley a great location. I always tip the staff unless the service is rude. They could do better an interacting, felt a bit chaotic at the till area when ordering and collecting. Could have been a one off. WiFi was down which was a bit annoying. Defo in the top 3 places for coffee in Horley. 7/10

Our flight arrived early and before our arranged pick-up so we had a drinks and snack here while waiting. It was excellent and very refreshing after a long flight. .

Travel extensively for work so I'm always stopping for coffee. Use this one frequently and the staff are always excellent, fast and efficient. Bit of a captive audience obviously but they do not take that for granted, Clean, well maintained and a credit to Costa.

Ok for a small bite & drink. Basic choice of sandwiches and drinks. Big advantage that is 24 hours, so if you have a overnight stop it’s a good choice.

This costa located just outside international arrivals, in my books this is the best place to get a coffee on landside. Flat white is the best! Staff are friendly and the area is clean.

...is this Costa with a large seating area. They have various coffee including drip which is the best deal, at £1.50 for a small.

Arrived today from the Dominican Republic and couldn't wait to get a proper coffee. Always good and a welcome back treat. Very busy though as you would expect at the airport. Enjoy.

Their lattes are a bit on the milky side, so you don't taste the coffee as much as you would in other coffee shops. 3 out of the 4 card machines weren't working so queue was quite long

South Terminal branch is immediately as you enter main arrivals hall after customs. There’s plenty of seating but it may take a while to find a spot as it always busy - tables are a bit too close together in my opinion as we found it difficult getting cases/trolley to a vacant table. Don’t be put off if there’s a queue to get service - they have plenty of staff on duty so it moves along at a reasonable pace. My only complaint is table cleaning is slow and you may have to move debris from previous occupants.

Un service simple, pas mal de places assises, c’est agréable de s’y arrêter en attendant que le temps passe. Pour le café ça passe mais sans plus, quelques douceurs, une heure vient de passer..

First the guy serving me barely spoke English and I had to repeat my order 3 times until he ‘understood’ what I meant. I only wanted 2 soya lattes, 1 of which decaf. Finally he put my order through and after a long wait I got the decaf soya latte and a lady said the 2nd drink would be a moment... when she passed that one to me she mumbled something before latte and I assumed it would be soya. 2 sips into it I realise it tasted funny... then it dawned on me, it wasn’t soya!! It was real milk. I felt sick. I took it back up and she instantly apologised and went off to do me another one. Luckily I’m not severely allergic to milk!!!!! I hate to think how this carelessness could have affected someone who has a severe allergy or intolerance to dairy! BAD!!!!

We were waiting in the North terminal for relatives arriving when I spotted this Costa coffee. I went to order and the lovely young lady serving me slipped up and nearly gave me someone else's toastie. The man next to me grabbed it and we all started laughing. Great service and a lovely coffee while watching the arrivals gate. Perfect.

This is the place to wait in North Terminal. IN fact the only place if you want to sit having a coffee while you wait.

We boarded a BA flight at gate 24, noticed this small outlet nearby and decided to grab a couple of drinks whilst in the boarding queue (convenient as one of us stayed in the queue!). Service was quick and it was good to have a decent hot drink to take on our short flight to Barcelona - not only is it better tasting than the crud served inflight but it was only an additional 10p for the coffee compared to the onboard price plus you didn’t have to wait for flight attendant service!

Had a lovely breakfast sandwich here early in the morning, tasted wonderful . Nice and clean. Pleasant staff.

Have been regular at Costa rather than other chains as thought slightly better. Still perfectly OK but loosing its edge. Service in North terminal arrivals Ok but not over friendly. Coffee not bad . Just needs to be a bit sharper all round

Very slow service Staff looked as though they wished they were somewhere else Poor latte and capuccino Very pricey poor quality food (if food is the right word). Appalling music blaring out. Next I time will go elsewhere in the terminal or bring a flask.

Very busy coffee shop. Waited in a queue as only 2 people were serving. Gave up waiting and went elsewhere.

Solito caffè americano , a livello di quello di starbuks. Mi sono fermato qua perché c'era meno gente. Visto che siete in aeroporto e la qualità è quell che è fate voi.

The usual Costa consistency:Friendly staff, decent drinks, sandwiches and snacks, just wish that they would offer better quality tea.

Der Kaffee ist lecker und in etlichen Varianten erhältlich (ähnlich wie bei Starbucks nur etwas günstiger). Das Personal ist freundlich und schnell. Plätze findet man nicht immer aber wenn man Glück hat wird einer frei.

Very friendly staff in this particular Costa. Costa outlets are pretty consistent and a regular call for me to grab a quick drink and snack. Service here was better than expected and put a smile on my face.

The style is modern, with warm colourings and plenty of wood. The coffee comes in three generous sizes - large, medium and small. Too generous for an espresso - it comes in a 250 cc cup, but it tastes nice. The usual snacks and coffee complements are also available. Service a bit inattentive.

got there 2am in the morning, got a few coffees for a long journey home, it was a bit slow, but she gave me hot water free for my daughters milk bottle, great service, I will use again on next journey

Just had a simple coffee but the staff was nice and everything was clean. Would definitely come again.

Long queues for the most disinterested service you'll ever receive, coffee ain't too bad but 20 minute queues to order just ain't on, put more staff on duty and speed up serving

Stuck here for two hours as flight delay, coffee ok, and a cake, could not settle as they kept trying to clean up round us, so ended up leaving. It is what it is.

Popped in for a quick snack didn't start well when we couldn't find a clean table. I ordered an egg and bacon sandwich, it was some limp, pappy, microwaved, disgusting cardboard tasting abomination - and that's giving it credit when none was due. Cappuchino was OK but there was almost as much in the saucer as the cup.

A rede costa é a melhor rede de cafés do Reino Unido, as demais redes os cafés são muito ruins, vale a pena!

We had a coffee just before flying at the gate. Pretty average for a coffee shop nothing special. Good idea though , you do have to drink it pretty sharpish if you want to make the plane

We visited the Costa Coffee in Arrivals in Southern Terminal. I ordered an expresso and my wife ordered a Mocha and neither of us finished them. The expresso was close to undrinkable and tasted like the beans had been burned while being ground. The Mocha had way too much chocolate mix in it making it horribly sweet.

Had an iced cooler and it was lovely! The wait time was quite long but it was worth it as the service and the drink was good! Will definitely visit again in June when I go back to Gatwick

The terminal was packed and costa was the only refuse - the coffee was good with ample seating available plus electric charges at nearly every seat a bonus for that last minute charge coffee was good and tasty

I hate Costa coffee! BUT.......at 5am, off an early flight, had an amazing latte. May have to re-evaluate. Lol

All the usual Costa stuff, at the airport. Good place to meet arrivals as everyone knows Costa. Staff, cleanliness, etc, usually ok. Black coffee is ok too.

Always a nice cup of coffee, but why does it have to be so expensive, it's just coffee, I'm sure the 'pre pouring show' is just to bump the price.

Lovely place to spend some time waiting for your flight. Great choice of sandwiches and good food and drinks. Recommended place. Might meet some pilots there.

Good coffee in noisy surrondings. Ordered a middle portion but got served a big,big cup. Lot of people made a big quee.

To be honest when I saw the queue I nearly walked away but as my flight gate number had not yet been advised, I thought, just wait, it's not like you are in a hurry. So finally I get to the front of the queue, to be served by a most charming young lady, very friendly and a delight after some of the dour sales folk in other places I've been to. My hot chocolate was freshly prepared as I waited, and presented in a large cardboard cup with an extra layer of padding to prevent burnt fingers. I had been advised it was very hot, I was also asked for my preferred size , would I like a cover in case I wanted to take it onto the plane, would I like a little biscuit snack with it and would there be anything else. Having paid, I was thanked, told to,have a nice day and also that she hoped my flight would be OK as it was very rough weather. The hot chocolate was indeed very hot, it was also very lovely, creamy and very tasty with none of the powdery residue that sometimes floats around having been poorly mixed. Well done Costa, you really brightened my day.

Estávamos embarcando de manhã bem cedo no aeroporto de gatwick e resolvemos tomar um café da manhã neste restaurante. Pedi um panini que tinha um recheio de peito de peru, queijo é uma pasta de manjericão acompanhado de um chocolate quente, até hoje relembrou delicia desse panini.

Not up to the usual Costa standards. Left my panini standing on grill for ages. Member of staff who served me spoke poor english, sign language didn't seem to help either. Floor needs a really good scrub. Won't stop here next time

Are having my americano at Costas every time I fly from Gatwick, the last time in september 2015. Always the same good taste, and the service are always on top:-)

Café Costa é um dos melhores de Londres. Gosto bastante e recomendo.Ambiente bonito, agradavel e aconchegante.

Great tasting coffee , would highly recommend the flat white great taste if you like it strong. Caramel shortcake goes great with it. Can't fault it I use Costa regularly.

I visited here for a coffee and really enjoyed it. Tasty Latte and reasonable priced also. It was also very busy but managed to find a seat okay.

We travel through gatwick frequently and always stop by this eatery for at least a coffee or sandwich to take onboard our flight. The service is quick and food is consistent. I have been to many Costas and they have never disappointed.

Found the staff polite and helpful. The café tables were being cleaned as people left. We just had a couple of coffee's and cake, very nice! There is free wifi available. Naturally a very busy place but on saying that the noise level wasn't too bad.

Came to Costa for a quick bite to eat as we were waiting for check in desk to open. Staff friendly on arrival, not too busy at 6.30 in the morning. Yesterday evening, my husband and I bought 2 teas at Costa Coffee in Gatwick South Terminal Arrivals while waiting for our daughter to arrive from her flight. The revamped café is bright and has much more space than before so was inviting. After waiting in line for some time, we finally got our drinks and found a nice table for two near the screen displaying the arrival times.All went well for a few minutes. Then a barista noisily started putting all the chairs near us onto the tables and they closed our area off with a barrier of chairs. Then they started cleaning all round us and we even had to raise our legs so they could clean under us! At this, we got up, took our drinks and pushed through the barrier of chairs (nobody helped us) to escape to a vacant table. It's not cheap there and this is how one is treated!

Best place for coffee at Gatwick South Departures but the queues here are always far too long. There is a 2 way queuing system but it's far from efficient - luckily I am always on time at the airport otherwise I wouldn't bother queuing.Coffee is the usual excellent Costa quality and seating area is OK.

You could never go wrong with Costa coffee shop. You always get what you ask for, plus pastries, cakes and other things.The staff are always helpful ,pleasant and obliging. I like going there for a drink because of that.

I wanted a coffee and cake at the airport and popped into Costa Coffee. It wasn't particularly busy, but the staff member was very brusque with me even though I made my selection immediately - there was no time for niceties at all. Disappointing customer service.

Very limited options for vegetarians when I visited and this was only late afternoon - plenty of flights still to leave for the rest of the day. Ended up with coffee and cake this time. Coffee was made well and hotCashier wouldn't hand the card machine over for me to do the contact-less transaction she requested the card be handed to her for her to it - I'd rather keep my card in my hands - thanks!If you have more time go somewhere else and have a sit down meal for your money. Could do so much better with their food range!

The staff were very friendly. In particular there was a lady in front of me who took 3 or 4 minutes deciding what milk she wanted (almond or soy), then after the coffee arrived she changed her mind and wanted a takeaway cup, then the coffee wasn't strong enough for her (even though she asked for a single shot!), then it wasn't hot enough (i'm not surprised after all her faffing around!) AND she paid using about 25 coins !! - all throughout this the staff maintained a cheerful, helpful, accommodating and professional persona. Well done Costa Crew.My coffee was perfect first time as was my partners. The Granola Bar was amazing. We went back and bought two more bars to snack on while on the plane.

Had a coffee in a new Costa at the North Terminal. Was ok but no where to sit so stood and chatted. Coffee was as you would expect from the Costa chain.

Good coffe and tasty cakes. But the coffe cups is huge. Not very many customers and very few places to sit down. Small space.

It's a bigger atmosphere now, more space than the old place. And service is faster. But it does feel like you're walking into a McDonalds - "Fast Coffee", instead of good coffee. It's got me thinking...what's important? It seems as though they've focus on the looks, instead of the coffee, which was unfortunately average at best. I threw away about 1/5 of my cappuccino, it was getting too bitter. The further I got down into the cup, the more I asked myself if I was enjoying it. The answer was "not much"!

Fairly long queue but it moved quickly. Can't go wrong with a Costa coffee and cake :-) Nice, attentive staff.

This is a convenient spot to hole up whilst awaiting flights or check in to Hilton for an overnighter or have a sit down small breakfast or snack before a flight.Nothing exceptional, coffee a welcome change from airport coffee, snacks Ok but not world beating but much better than terminal by a long shot and only a few mins walk from terminal via carpark- see signs to hilton.Staff manager very helpful chap

The Costa in the hotel far too small for the amount of customers going through. I waited 20 mins to be served .... yes the 2 staff were preparing a large order but an acknowledgement I was waiting would of been nice.

Quick service, efficient and great to grab a coffee or tea on the go. Cost is the same where ever you go so you do know what you get.

Costa at the Hilton gatwick hotel. Drinks average, no netting on food so flies all over the cakes etc which is disgusting!

I asked the staff what they had that I could eat as we had missed our flight and were stranded at the airport overnight. The staff member was friendly enough, but the answer was basically I could have fruit. Great.

Costa is a good chain for us coffee lovers , but this place really needs more staff serving , as the queue was just stupid.People have to wait for the flight , we should not have to wait for a coffee. The coffee was good and the staff were friendly.

A rede Costa Coffe ajuda e muito nas refeições rápidas com seus sanduíches. Escolha um, pegue um suco qualquer e saía comendo. A área para alimentação não é o foco deles.

There's nothing special about teh costa coffee outlet in gatwick. Its an ok palce for a quick coffee while waiting for a flight

Grab one before you board. Far better than what is served by the budget airlines.Not much food on offer, but all the usual drinks and forms of payment.
