Disgusting chairs, I have not seen this before!! Guildford is reputable area, how is it possible! I would say the manager should be ashamed to have not find a way to replace the super old furniture, I would say everywhere else in Europe Costa coffee looks much better furniture wise. Otherwise coffee was really nice and staff was friendly The photos says it all

Staff was great with my SEN son but atmosphere was really weird. Not sure if because od the time of the day (2pm ish) but it felt empty.

The salted caramel frappè did not meet Costa's usual high standards. The flavour was lacking, and the topping was absent.

Ordered coffee frappe the other day and the amount of coffee they put to make one cup makes more than two cups making the coffee tasteless as the rest of the coffee goes into the sink.Need more training for staff to make delicious coffee frappe.

Very nice food and drink at a fairl6 reasonable price.

Visited this store any times over the years and have always been pleased. I enjoyed the breakfast we had and felt it was good value for 2 drinks and 2 portions of toast for £9.10, will visit again.

Absolutely vile. Got a soy milk cappuccino and he burnt the milk. So gross. I am appalled how someone could make something so disgusting. My life has be ruined. Two coffees for £8. Awful price and awful quality. #boycottcosta

guy on the till rolled his eyes at me when i asked for decaf! i asked for cream he didnt give me any. multiple times they dont put the syrup on their seasonal drinks! with that price youd expect you get whats advertised or atleast let the customer know if they've run out

I have been to a lot of mediocre cafes in my day, but believe you me when I tell you that I have never experienced a more average cup of over priced coffee and stale tea cake. And for that it deserves one star and a serious shake up of management.

i work at another costa coffee branch & tried using my discount card in this store. Staff told me i couldn’t get my discount because i worked for a franchise and insisted i was wrong. went back & checked with costa management & i should’ve received my discount

Only two girls working today. They were absolutely amazing. Excellent service, they remained calm and smiling in spite of being under massive pressure. Well done girls total admiration.

Cluttered tables, unclean tables, no toilet paper in the toilets.

Kelly is the nicest Costa staff my mother and I have met in the past four(ish) years. We normally go to a different Costa in Guildford next to the Furniture Village, but constantly have negative experience with the staff there. They never make the drinks properly, the drinks do not taste good at all, and costumer service is awful. However here, the staff were nice, drinks were made properly (as described on menu), and Kelly was nice enough to offer vegan cream alternative (this has never been offered before in the other Costa cafe even though my mother always asks for a dairy free base). Overall a very pleasent experience.

Great stuff, convenient location for bus station users

Had breakfast and latte . Clean floors. However some tables had tray of empty cups etc that had not been cleared straight away and also a tray that was full of cups,plates,glasses was blocking the taje away service area that people use was putting sugar in before taking away their coffee. This was easily seen by the staff as it is positioned near the barista makes the coffee the drinks.

Just had a coffee with my friend

Looked forward to a lovely Peach and Hibicus iced tea. However was firstly told that it was Peach tea only and then when I got the drink it was at best room temperature. I thought the clue was in the title iced tea. When I took it back and asked for some ice I was bluntly told it was made with crushed ice. Well it was warm and very unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this branch, very poor service.

I had a salted caramel frappé. It was delish. The atmosphere is what it is (classic Saturday screaming children in front of Primark), the lovely ladies at the service counter definitely make up for it. Thank you 😚

The customer service and how my drink was made by the young Indian guy not good, he didn't listen to my order, I had to ask and tell him how I wanted my Coffee more then once and drink still didn't come out as it does normally (I get the same drink every time)

I like to sit here and have a coffee while my kids are shopping in the shopping centre. I often spend a good half hour here. Staff are always very pleasant to me and for a chain coffee house they make a great triple shot latte. Will return (many times).

This Costa just recently renovated and re-opened again! It looks great and eyes catching. Their services are very good and helpful. I like to see they are always smiling at the customers. It is really nice. And their coffee quality is amazing and really good. Acceptable price with a wonderful quality of coffee and service. Recommend. And don’t forget to download the Costa app for collecting the beans and you can get a free drink reward!✨

Every Costa I visit serve luke warm filter coffee ! They say it is set at that temperature and can't be adjusted poor show !!

The Costa shown is the now closed Swan Lane store. I went to The Friary store. It was busy but the staff dealt admirably with the queue. Food and coffee were good but due to no masks, I was the only one I think wearing a mask, and no social distancing this may be why I developed COVID 4 days later.

Baristas were all very friendly. The new festive drinks are nice!

Went in Costa coffee in the friary yesterday with my grandma, son and partner for something to eat and drink. The staff were not that nice and the girl that served us clearly wasn't bothered about the job or the fact that she has one, I asked her if I could put one of the ham and cheese toasties back, as my other half wanted something else, and she charged my grandma for 3 ham and cheese toasties and a cheese and tomato toastie as well, when we got the receipt, I noticed that she had charged us for all 4 toasties, when I asked the manager the same thing as I said to the other girl, about taking one of the cheese and ham toasties off, she said she had, I was like no she didn't and we have been charged for it, the manager said OK, she stopped the 3rd cheese and ham toastie from being opened and then refunded it. If your thirsty and hungry then head to harris and hoole on North Street as they are loads better and listen to their customers. Avoid costa coffee in the friary, the staff need to retrained or sacked.

I love their coffee, their beans are not as bitter, good after taste. It’s just inside from the bus station which can be convenient if you’re taking the bus. Service is standard.

Excellent service - lovely staff and very helpful! Best decaf oat milk latte I've had for ages! Tried the new vegan bac'n roll - was hot and extremely tasty! Will definitely be back next time we are in Guildford!

Ordered a Vanilla Coconut latte and it was absolutely amazing. The best coffee I have had for ages. Also the Lemon cake was delicious. Staff were very polite. 😊

With the noise in the shop, masks and screens, it was very difficult to hear the staff or be understood. Sadly we did not get what we tried to order.

Asked for 2 fruit coolers - extremely slow to serve and then apparently run out of ice! I appreciate it’s 4.40 on a Sunday but come on. Classic didn’t want to serve as too busy trying to clean and talking amongst themselves

Ssllllllooooooowwwwwww. Been waiting in line for nearly 15 mins and not yet been served. There aren't even many people in line! Only one member of staff doing work on a Saturday seems ridiculous.

Normally I don't like Costa coffees but they have a new toffee spiced latte and it's divine, I will definitely be back for more

Unfortunately did not get the barista name who was on his own this afternoon. He was so busy, the queue was so long, but that did not deter him. We still got a smile, an apology for the wait and our coffee was still hot and the quality of our food was as expected. Thank you to the man with the beard (sorry we did not get your name)

The dirtiest Costa I've been too. Really rude staff as well. I bought a hot chocolate and a cake to stay and they dumped my soft cake in a paper bag. When I asked for a plate the lady rudely declined saying they were going to close in 20 minutes so no plate.

Understaffed, long wait. One staff member rude and grumpy to everyone. Dirty tables and floors, toilets disgusting, no loo roll. Will avoid in future.

Mediocre bonfire spiced latte bad textured milk and no cinamon on top, staff was okay they did what they had to do and there was no cold brew available.

A fairly nice place but the coffee machine made so much noise we were unable to talk. I won't go again.

Does what it says. Coffee and it costa fortune... Well made flat white. Albeit a slow disjointed service. Place needs a good scrub. Pleasant and helpful staff. Everybody rushing to get home for Xmas on the 23rd were ushered out by staff sweeping up an hour before closing.

Another unsatisfactory experience at this costa. A few pointers for your staff... 1. If the customer tells you the coffee is cold, it's cold. 2. If the customer requests skimmed milk, use skimmed. 3. Pay attention to your customers, they pay your wages. Staff incompetence really does let the side down. That and the state of the shop!

Just inside the Friary shopping centre next to Guilford bus station. Always busy with good selection of cakes and snacks to go with good coffee.
