Had the worse experience at the alley bar yesterday, we were sitting across from the bar and out of NOWHERE the bartender came from around the bar and just took my partner from the neck and started assaulting him and aggressively through him outside!!!!!! Absolutely horrible experience!!!!

My friend who is gay was denied entry to the club and was mad fun of by the bouncers because they thought he had substances on the bouncers took £50 from his wallet and specifically made sure he was humiliated - this was targeted with no explanation. So disappointed. Won’t be coming here again.

Probably the worst bar I have ever been in my life . The space is too small,the music is old, overpriced and the security service has a air of superiority towards anyone and they hit on your girlfriend very unprofessional never going there again

Friendly atmosphere people were easy to talk to and you could just chill and have fun. Didnt eat so not sure about food menu but the bar staff were friends fast and knew their drinks

The white guy they put at the door to open and close the door is definitely the most coward person I have ever seen this weekend especially when he attacked one person who he didn't seem to like. Basically he used the door as a shield to protect himself and finds an opportunity to quickly open the door to hit someone directly to the balls. Was shocking to see this happening. Looks like he does thrown this kind of attack in a very cowardly manner to other people that he doesn't really like. If anybody has ever been in this situation with that same guy, this must be reported as police needs to seriously investigate him or perhaps this whole place if he has been told to throw attacks on people they do not like rather than training them to protect the place instead. They usually use the top clear part of the door to peek through just to see if they like anybody walking through the alley and quickly decide if they like the person or not. Unlike normal bars and clubs, this is the only club in the UK you will never see the security standing outside the door like real security guards or doormen but instead hiding inside behind the door peeking through the top clear part of the door like coward rats. It is the same white guy you will notice cowardly hiding behind that door every time you go there... Only real security control from outside rather than hiding cowardly inside and throw attacks cowardly...

Guess what? The door guy thought he was going to allow my 3 girls in and stopped me with excuse that he though I had too much for the night 😂🤣 Some dramas and they lost it all... That's what happens when things escalate due to pure racist attitude.... And they are going to lose more than what they lost tonight... Kicking direct in the area where he knows I'm better than him... It means when you see a man more potent than yourself, you kick him there 🤣😂 All my girls did confirm that this door guy did feel vulnerable because he thinks why can I do better than him when it comes to me walking around with beautiful blonde women whereby his job is all about opening and closing door 🤣😂 Sad for the door guy as his job is about opening and closing door for minimum wage... Only women kick men in the balls for self defence... Door man kicking a man in the balls three times in a row obviously shows how feminine this attitude is... Shame on you sadly... Only a coward will use the door to protect himself, then quickly open the door to kick me in the balls, close the door again and repeat... All the women with me that night confirm the cowardness of this foolish behaviour... Pure cowardness it is... This place strategically position their cameras whereby doorman can cowardly hide behind the door and can easily use the door to protect himself whilst he can attack people standing outside the door so that when police will investigate, they won't be able to find any evidence of his attack as he will use the blind spot to his advantage... As a heavy spender, this place won't earn from my pocket no more and hence that coward attacker (unprofessional and untrained doormat man) won't be able to feed himself from my pocket no more...

It is a decent place to hang out late at night. Drinks were made poorly though, pints not filled to the top or 2 inches of foam

As far as night clubs go, I do like this place. It's different and quirky and the music is good. It's a bit of a regular spot for the Guildford locals.

Smelly and always expensive with no reason. Packed with lots of people in a place that the ventilation is bad or non existent

No heating,you need to wear winter jacket all the time, serving pint without drying the glass,disgusting

Best place to party in Guilford town

Had our work Christmas party here and we were looked after amazingly well! Abby went above and beyond to make sure everything was prepped ahead of time. She gave us a private room, with bar service, and even made sure to have our chosen cocktails ready for us on arrival. Everyone had an amazing time and we really felt like VIPs! I would definitely recommend the alley bar for parties/functions.

Wanted even more beers so went in here. Actually empty till 15 builders turned up. Decent boozer, decent drink and great barman who served us. Didnt know existed but worth the visit till played Brazilian music . Not in Blighty bruvs

Great venue, lots of different genre of music and overall great atmosphere. Great service and management exceed standards. Overall to any other venue you feel safe and comfortable. Would recommend anyone to go.

Celebrated my 21st here last week and couldn’t have had a better time! A special thanks to Abby and Mark who really went above and beyond :)

Disappointed to write this as have been many times intermittently over the last decade and went for the first time in a couple of years Saturday 13/11/21. Unfortunately, amongst others, I had an uncomfortable experience when leaving due to verbal aggression from a staff member, which continued out into the High St, when many leaving the bar became concerned for the well-being of an unconscious individual in the alleyway. The staff member insisted the individual was too intoxicated & just needed to be taken home by friends. He refused to assist with questions when a 999 call had been made, did not follow basic first aid guidance i.e. to put someone in the recovery position when they were in & out of consciousness & began vomiting, then helped carry the individual unconscious to a car despite an ambulance being deployed. Concern seemed to be focussed on resolving any 'issue' next to the premises and not whether the individual was safe. Those who questioned the situation were spoken to in an aggressive tone, including being approached to be spoken to at close face-to-face proximity which was very intimidating. No complaints or accusations had been made about the bar, everyone just wanted to make sure the individual was okay and if required, received necessary medical attention. With reported spiking in Guildford recently people are also hyper aware that this is an additional risk. Following the way myself and others were spoken to, I do not intend to revisit any time soon.

An ecliptic mix for a late night drink.

Good vibe, bit of a small place. Cool different eastern vibe music. Literally down a tiny alley/' hole in the wall'. Had a good laugh at the 'ladies' trying to be divas and then waiting for lift from Dad.

Second time in a row i caught out the bar staff trying to overcharge me for drinks assuming i would not notice. I advise if you have to go here ask for a receipt and check it thoroughly.

Best Latin party in Guildford with the best Latin dj in town, come down every Thursday for an authentic Latin music and dance experience with the best dj in town, dj Jovy. Reggeton, bachata, salsa, merengue and even Brazilian music. Definetely worth checking it out

A decent venue but needs improvement. Drinks prices just about acceptable for the area but toilets are unclean and no locks on the cubicles???

Awful bouncers, bad beer and thoughtlessly boring music. While the rest of Guildford's nightlife has a triage of bouncers - who routinely rotate to avoid personal confrontations - Alley Bar employs their own staff. Which unsurprisingly has the opposite effects. IE - incredibly judgemental, rude nd non professional doormen. The beer on tap is consistently bad. I suspect they do not bother to clean the taps. And the music... The lesser said the better.

Small but very nice club. Drinks' price are very good. Helpful staff.

The star is for the garden area, unfortunately we were treated badly by the bar staff especially an extremely rude girl who worked there. Not spending money in a place where the staff make you feel unwelcome

Great little place in Guildford. A bit tricky to find. Sad, that cocktails are only served until 11PM when the place is open until 2-3am :)

Interesting little bar just off the High Street, open until late with some interesting clientele.

I went to the Alley bar with a friend last Monday, Ed I believe his name was very welcoming and would highly recommend going to the Alley bar to anyone looking to have a catch up with friends in a welcoming and friendly environment. Would like to say a big thank you to Ed and the staff there for a really good night.

Dropped in for a late night beer and discovered it was pretty packed with live music on. Fantastic atmosphere with great drink selection, friendly staff and great music. Would certainly go again for a few beers with friends.

Really great vibe. Closes very late, drinks are very expensive. Great place.
