Our blueberry bubble tea was served warm. Barely any ice cubes. £10 for 2 drinks. What a waste of money. So disappointed. Sadly, staff very young, inexperienced, slow and with their heads in the clouds. Noticed this on most Costa drive through. Poor service. I don't know why we bother hoping people know how to make a drink.

24 hour costa coffe, I turned up at 4am and needed an energy boost 2 large caramel lattes (with double shots in) later I made it home safe and sound, great customer service , exactly what I needed, much appreciated, highly recommended.

I just watched something horrifying at Costa. The barista was cleaning the inside shelves of the baked goods cabinet with a cleaning cloth, brushing and touching the open muffins. Whether the cloth was wet or dry, it clearly contaminated the muffins. The funny thing is, she then moved the contaminated muffins with tongs, seemingly clueless that the contaminants might now be all over the food. I was about to order a blueberry muffin, but after witnessing this, I lost my appetite. How can I order now? Do these workers get any training in hygiene? Heck, does this even need training? Isn’t it just common sense?

The three members of staff working this morning on the westbound service station couldn’t do enough for the visitors. Chatty and friendly and helped customers with their trays. It’s little things like this that set one location of chain coffee house above others! Thankyou!

So if kesha’s milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, what can I make to bring all the men to the yard? I manage to summon a team of burly rugby boys/men with varying age here in costa, so you could say the potion worked or maybe its this cafe with its good location and cleanliness. Nahhh, it’s definitely my gorgeous charm and wit that attracted them, similar to Voldemort.

I was very disappointed. We waited for 15 minutes for service and a following 10 for the drinks to be made. Getting on for half an hour to be served a coffee. For reference there were about 8 individuals (including those in groups) averaging about 4 mins per coffee. Staff were incredibly nonchalant with 0 urgency. Coffee was fine, not the worst but definitely not the best. If you want a consistent and FAR quicker coffee, there is a coffee vending machine in whsmith which is also ironically cheaper. Just go to that, it's what I'll be doing next time!

Great service! was served by the lovely Lewis yesterday who helped me decide between a Mocha and a Cappuccino when i was being indecisive as usual. He was patient with me even though it was late at night and didn’t get annoyed with how long i was taking.Picked a Mocha in the end was very nice.

No gluten free food. Pint paper cup full of brown but tasteless boiling water masqueraded as tea. Never again!

Such a friendly lovely place, I came here twice over a weekend and both times had a lovely experience- the staff are happy and friendly and made a great coffee. there was a small queue (it was peak coffee time!) but they had two tills and got through efficiently. (services so a little pricier than in towns)

Popped in here for a much-needed iced coffee on the way to London (about 7.30pm Saturday 27th June in case a manager's reading this!) and we were served by a great lad - really professional with a difficult customer ahead of us and then very pleasant and chatty with us. Left with a smile!

This place made a good stop along our journey, offering a break from driving while chilling with a hot drink and a snack. The staff were friendly and approachable which makes a difference when you’re tired. My daughter enjoyed her latte and I had the hot chocolate which was also nice. We would definitely stop here again if we were passing.

I'd like to share my appreciation for the delightful experience I had at Costa Cafe in Moto Reading East Services. From the cozy ambiance to the delicious food, everything was top-notch. A highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by barista Natalie. Her warm demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made me feel welcome from the moment I entered. Her expert knowledge of the menu and her ability to recommend the perfect cappuccino truly enhanced my experience. Kudos to Natalie and the entire team at the Moto Reading East Services Costa Cafe for their commitment to outstanding customer service. I will certainly recommend this location to friends and family and look forward to returning soon

Generally quite rude staff. There is a weird till queuing system where if you order on the left hand side by the queue you have to wait in the left blocking the queue, if you order in the right hand side (which you access via the left queue you wait in lots of space there - a bit like every other costa where you’re in a. Conveyor belt) The male long hair with black glasses server on this till talked us like we were stupid because we were stood there waiting for our coffee. Just not what you’d expect for overpriced coffee!

Good coffee. Nice quiet table booths in the cafe. Friendly staff. A bit confusing for customers at times. Some of them were rocking straight up to the second pay point and had to be told it was a single queue for all. Top annoyance was the invitation to donate when making contactless payment. No touch screen and apparently a two button app read to either get rid of or accept it. Very surprised management think that is acceptable. Otherwise good.

Huge queue, only 1 serving and 1 making the coffee. You need more staff!

Karolina was a friendly server, and Jaden made delicious drinks, and bent over backwards to make sure we got what we wanted. Mad props to Jaden, way better than his acting counterpart.

I think I picked a bad day to visit 😂 will try elsewhere next time. Attitude could be improved. With other coffee suppliers in the same building, they should have a better sales technique. But the one I spoke to,doesn't want to be there I think. Coffee was okay 👍

We were greeted and served by a lovely lady at the till who helped us choose the perfect iced coffee. The Asian gentleman who made our drinks went extra mile with his service. Much much appreciated. Excellent service and kind staff, on our visit we accidentally spilled out hot tea onto our hands, the manager who was passing by noticed and kindly requested us to come inside the cafe and offered the cold ice cubes for the burn and gave us the same drink for free. So kind of him. Thanks Costa for having such gentle and kind people.

Rudest staff I have ever seen. Chatting away, ignoring customers, and very unhelpful and disgustingly rude when you ask for basics like labelling the coffees or chocolate sprinkle. Why do a job that involves customer service if you despise the customers??

Tasteless flat white that was half empty. Will not go back to a Costa again.

The staff here are so nice and friendly - after getting my drink, I went back a asked if I could get a bit more chocolate powder for it, and they insisted on remaking it for me, really lovely of them! :)

The Barrista called Chris deserves special mention for his courtesy and polite manner. Good coffee but croissants didn’t taste as fresh as they could as they are laden with too much butter.

We used the drive through, they didn't have the cakes or cookies that we asked for, they did not put chocolate powder on our 2 cappuccinos. Our daughter asked for a bottle of water and they gave us sparkling water without warning us, they shut the drive through window very quickly. As we drove away we realised why, because they really messed up our order. Very disappointed.

Nice staff coffee tasted a bit burnt though

The staff was missing for 40 minutes from 10pm to 10:40pm even after this being a 24 hr shop. The shift manager on call is of no help either and may not pick up the phone. No communication as to why they were missing and no one to answer. Also, they wont accept costa vouchers so its not even a proper costa shop.

Very quite place specially for late night coffe. The staff is helpful. I like to hangout from time to time for late coffe and chatting with friends.

Sorry Costa but on our last visit (earlier today) both my wife and myself got coffees that were below your normal standard.

Typical Motorway Services. I notice that the seats near the Costa have plug sockets. Personally, I prefer the coffee from EDC.

Terrible service. Six staff and no one serving. All tables dirty. Staff just socializing and having fun with other and their phones... If I worked for Costa I'd fire the lot!
