Costa Coffee in Southwark

Last time I was in London I really enjoyed their chai, but this time I didn’t. It seemed like a warm milkshake, no chai flavor at all. They have limited seating and the staff is friendly.

Just discovered this shop. I didn't know how to use my app very well over 60s. Customer service was so helpful and did not make me feel like I was wasting their time. I am looking forward to my next visit...

The items are a bit pricey and tastes average but the quiet atmosphere/space is priceless in these busy touristy areas where every other coffee shop is paired with a noisy bar. The staff are also friendly.

Greeted well as you’d expect and product is absolutely fine, however, one visit to the gents toilet when it’s only 11am and it stinks, the bin is full of nappies and the standard of cleanliness within is abhorrent. If this toilet was inspected now, I’ve no doubt, it would be closed down.

2.30 for a bottle of water that wasn't even cold seems like a rip off. The bathroom was completely wet and dirty. At least they had aircon.

Good luck if you want to sit in and eat. Unfortunately the tables here on a late afternoon are crammed with people who appear to have been sat around for hours with completely empty cups/mugs/drinks utensils, that is if they have anything at all with them. Paying customers should not need to leave in order to eat their food. The food in the end was ok as was the drink. Will not be back.

Efficient, friendly and decent coffee

Coffee size is big. I ordered regular, but it was double the normal amount. The staff was friendly and the coffee tasted great and we had a great time.

Do not use the toilets, they are disgusting

Coffee was luke warm, didn’t have any food. Toilets were an absolute disgrace filthy.

Had a nice iced mocha in here as it was hot. Nice and refreshing.

Firstly, Scottish bank notes weren’t accepted, they are legal tender for goodness sake!!!! Secondly the toilets are a filthy disgrace. I will not be back .

No please no thank you coffee given in a take away cup if she had asked i was sitting in. what a bad experience there is lots of coffee shop here

Me and my friend ordered refreshers and not only was there a long wait but my friends drink was given to another person and then she was told that they were out of the syrup for her drink.

Service was fine but coffee was absolutely horrible. Probably 3rd worst coffee I’ve ever had. My friend and I both got coffees, myself a cappuccino and her a latte. Both tasted literally burnt and bitter. My large was literally only half full when I received it. Not a good day for costa. Go to one of the other places in borough or around this area.

Don't ask for a Frappe as they never have enough ice which isn't goid with the weather we're having

Do not bother with this Costa. The service is the slowest Costa in London. The toasted sandwiches were toasted on one side only, the sausage rolls were cold, the glass for diet coke was hot so the ice melted. Go to another coffee shop and save yourself the disappointment

Vriendelijk personeel. Warme chocolade en Engelse thee gedronken. Aangenaam warm binnen met dit koude weer. Geen idee hoe de koffie smaakt. Helaas smerige toiletten. Daarom -3 sterren.

Frequent customer here every other morning. Super nice staff who makes a consistent cup of coffee every time.

Quite and service was quick considering only 1 member of staff Cleanliness of store could be improved tables dirty and seats need a clean.

Not terribly impressed. Not very large. Extremely limited seating availability. A lot of the specialist lattes unavailable, but no indication of that fact until you spoke to the barrista, who then just recommended what was available. Distinctly average.

Cold coffee, place is not clean, toilets downstairs are really really bad... The worse Costa I have ever been to.

You’ve just lost a customer. Ordered a chai latte with oat milk and I was given the wrong order (gave me full fat instead of what I ordered) but that isn’t why this is a 2 star. After asking if this is oat milk he then told me no and went straight to the cashier to collect an extra 45p, no apology just ‘that will be 45p extra’. When I finally got what I ordered the quality was tasteless and I had to add extra sugar which didn’t make much of a difference but hey. Terrible customer service, terrible quality of drinks

How sad that wanting a coffee, I had to ask for a coke because there was no type of non dairy milk, in the middle of 2022 with the number of people who cannot drink milk with lactose, seems very unprofessional to me.

Upstairs was hot and uncomfortable (it was a hot day), didn’t realise until later that downstairs had AirCon and was cool. The staff were very friendly and helpful though despite struggling with a lack of ice.

Staff was very kind, coffee was tasty. Seems small, but additional seating is downstairs.

The girl at the tills has not customer service at all. The guys serving were happy and smiling. Give some training to the girl. She needs it.

Maybe this is to personal taste, but in my opinion the coffee isn't that good for the price you pay, in my opinion. Perhaps for some its good, but just not for me. I had a double espresso.

I had my coffee just the way I like it, barista was very good and friendly as well. Nice view on the street from ground floor. Bit less pleasant downstairs. Unfortunately in busy times you might have to wait as there is often just one barista serving.

I came here this morning because its very close to HSBC. I travel early to avoid traffic. I ordered drink and food then I was told u can take away but you can not seat. I did not take and I was leaving .They changed their mind you can sit here. Other customers were seating. I sat for a minute then I left & pret was open so I bought something in Pret to stay there for HSBC to open. Then pret became dangerous ly crowded so I went to Nero London Bridge Station and station cafe was quite. After while I went to HSBC. 3 times I ordered food and drink because walking made me unwell but I had very lucky a guy in HSBC was super helful & my taxi driver was super nice. I have walking difficulties &my right arm completely paralyzed. Usually people in medicine branded psycho when they kill. Psycho is every where. It does not have to be a doctor. My Scandinavian specialist was an angel. He is my rock when theses people treated me badly. He was so hardwired to NEVER EVER victimized me & I was in weakest position of my life. Karma does everything for me.

The only issue I had with Costa, London Bridge, was the state of the toilets. It was not very hygienic. The seating areas were nice and clean.

Quite often there is one staff member left to serve long queues of people, in other Costa stores there are usually many more staff working. Coffee is good - but takes so long to get it :(

A really nice coffee shop that is situated directly opposite Borough Market in London Bridge. The service was very good and the coffee was really nice. It has a really relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a good place to go for a nice meet up with a friend.

Very very dirty and smelly. No one cleaning tables but worst of all the toilets are disgusting. Mold. Blood. People urine and poo on the toilet and floor. No toilet roll. One dirty sink. Would never return

After months of lockdown and no Costas open my online stalking paid off. Borough opened. Lovely store, brave batista and a Costa to die for (not literally obvs) Thank you to all the Costa batista. We have missed your smiles, chat and large cappuccinos.

Really bloody cosy downstairs, made it feel like you weren't in central London. The staff were also really nice. I'd never been in this particular one before so I certainly was surprised by it. Their community board had nothing on it which was quite amusing
