Just had an excellent Sunday Roast here. Huge portions (ask for a child’s portion of you don’t have a big appetite) - vegetables really good. Good choice of wine as well.

Nice friendly atmosphere, good food and good service. Sunday roast and quiz is recommended or just a nice hangout.

En cherchant un lieu de détente proche de notre hôtel sur Camberwell Street, nous avons découvert ce pub de quartier avec une terrasse pour invitation. Juste pour prendre une pinte....et bien avec le bon choix de découverte du barman, de 1, nous sommes passé à quatre dégustation et à un superbe burger au poulet. Je garde un excellent souvenir de ce lieu sur Carter Street. A visiter en soirée

Almuerzo dominical, seis adultos y un niño.Una comida llegó rápidamente, las otras 30 minutos después.Las hamburguesas estaban bien, pero dos de nosotros pedimos cordero, que era incomible, muy graso, verduras no cocidas¿Por qué cualquier chef serviría carne cuando era tan obviamente no comestible?Nos llevamos un pastel que entregamos al personal cuando entramos, cuando lo pedimos lo sacaron todavía en la caja.Tuvimos que pedir platos que trajeron con tenedores y servilletas, pero sin cuchillo para cortarlos.El personal parecía ser muchachos sin experienciaLa factura se redujo cuando nos quejamos y pedimos una reducción.No hay café descafeinado

La comida ha bajado mucho desde mi última visita. El pescado estaba fresco, pero las hamburguesas eran horribles y la dieta se desvanecía. Sin vibraciones especiales de cumpleaños. No cálida bienvenida muy, muy decepcionante.Los nachos estaban bien, pero eso es todo. Aseo maloliente y solo un aseo de señoras. Grupo ruidoso de personas detrás de nosotros muy irritante. Necesitamos personal más amigable. La vergüenza solía ser un lugar maravilloso.

No me malinterpretes, no es horrible ni nada, simplemente no lo entiendo.Cuando nos mudamos a la zona, estaba emocionado de estar tan cerca de un pub votado como el mejor en la zona, pero en mi opinión es definitivamente promedio. He comido aquí y la comida estaba bien; comida típica de pub (porciones generosas).La zona exterior es agradable cuando hace sol, pero los manteles de plástico baratos defraudan la estética. No bebo una gran variedad de bebidas, así que no puedo comentar sobre la selección, pero puedo decirles que el Prosecco viene en botellas pequeñas e individuales. Estuvimos allí para el día 25 (40) de nuestro hijo, no preguntes, cumpleaños.Él había invitado a algunos amigos a tomar algo y comer algo. El personal era genial, el servicio con una sonrisa y rápido, los aperitivos eran muy buenos y todo fue, por lo que debe haber sido considerado bueno por algo más que yo. La cerveza estaba bien, Pride y Doombar de barril. Nos quedamos mucho más tarde de lo que esperábamos, así que lo disfrutamos. No hay ruidosos televisores de música o máquinas de juegos, un pub del sur de Londres. No te hará daño intentarlo si eres local.

Nunca antes había escrito una reseña, no importa una mala crítica, pero me siento obligado a hacerlo en este caso, ya que ayer descubrí un servicio al cliente espantoso y grosero en este pub.Estaba en la colmena que está a la vuelta de la esquina de mi casa, editando un video para una obra de caridad en mi tiempo libre. Estuve en el pub medio vacío durante 1 hora y media (lo sé porque llegué justo antes de que comenzara el fútbol y el juego tardó 10 minutos) y había pedido una coca cola. Me perdí en la edición cuando una dama (creo que el dueño del pub) se acercó a mí y me pidió que me quitara los auriculares.En un tono frío y desagradable dijo 'has estado aquí por más de 2 horas y solo has pedido 1 bebida, estás usando mi electricidad y te estoy pidiendo que te vayas. "conmocionado contesté" o podrías preguntarme si quería otro trago? "que luego respondió despectivamente" Preferiría liberar el espacio. Tienes que irte. Esta no es tu oficina. 'Fue una interacción vengativa y a la que no estoy acostumbrado (de ahí mi primera crítica). No tuve la oportunidad de explicar lo que estaba haciendo o alenté a comprar cualquier otra cosa. Si soy honesto, fue molesto. ¡Lo que fue aún más desconcertante, es que el pub estaba literalmente medio vacío! Solo para sofocar cualquier duda de que yo haya sido rechazado no era nada profesional y dañino. .Había comido allí con un amigo la semana anterior y me considero una persona considerada y normal. Fui juzgado e insultado sin el poco interés en que esta señora me preguntara quién era, qué estaba haciendo o, simplemente, si estaba bien si compraba algo más.Que damaObviamente, siéntete libre de disfrutar de este pub (¡la otra semana la comida estuvo bien!) Pero ciertamente nunca volveré a pisarla.

He sido un visitante habitual aquí durante muchos años y me temo que ha empeorado. Había una multitud familiar de 14 personas. Pedí un filete. Al igual que a mi padre, me pidieron que escogiera otra cosa porque se habían acabado. Elegí pescado y papas fritas mi papá Luego me dijeron que no tenían patatas de bebé cuando apareció comida. Uno de nuestro grupo tenía nachos, que estaba frío, mi pescado estaba bien, en el mejor de los casos, las patatas fritas eran vergonzosas, realmente tenía muchas buenas comidas aquí, pero ahora es pobre.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and a good pub quiz. I live nearby and this is a great pub to have as my local. Food is pretty good too.

Que son locales a la colmena y hemos estado allí en varias ocasiones para bebidas o asadas. Es un bonito pub, rodeado de un montón de edificios en Consejo de Estado creo que uno de los pocos edificios de la zona que sobrevivió los bombardeos de la guerra. La comida está bien para un pub, y tienen un bonito jardín que obviamente es atractivo cuando el clima es agradable. Ayer fuimos con unos amigos, éramos 3 parejas con tres niños pequeños. Nos dijeron que el personal porque los niños estaban corriendo. Sólo eso. No estaban siendo particularmente ruidoso o molesto a la gente, sólo yendo y viniendo desde el jardín donde estábamos. Siempre había un adulto con ellos. Yo estaba un poco sorprendido, para ser sincero, con estos comentarios, ya hemos reservado en el pasado reciente una mesa grande para la familia y la supongo - gerente, una señora encantadora, era muy agradable y servicial. He visto niños en muchas ocasiones en que pasan. Le hubiera dado mejor marca pero estoy francamente decepcionado con esta experiencia. Pensarías que La Colmena es un simpático niño pub como incluso tienen un menú para niños. Si ese es el caso, no debería ser un problema tener niños jugando en el jardín. Como sugerencia, hay muchas maneras de mejorar la experiencia de pub para familias que me he visto en algunos pubs en este país, por ejemplo, invertir en algunos juguetes, un par de libros para niños algunos lápices de colores o. No necesita ser caro. Sólo con eso, los niños pueden estar tranquilos durante horas. O, alternativamente, si no son realmente agradable para los niños, que deben ser claras, así las familias no confundirse. Creo que puede perder una buena cantidad de clientes ya que hay muchas familias en la zona a menos que este cambio de actitud.

Hidden away in an off beat London quarter, a great pub, with good selection of beers and excellent food. A must stop for any hungry traveller to have a good meal and a few cold ones. Staff is brilliant as well. Go there!

Excellent local pub with good beer selection and decent food. There is outside seating which is nice for the few days of sun we get in London. Good if you're in the area.

Un pub para asado los domingos, con personal simpático, cervezas y una gran selección de licores. Todos los asados salió bien cocinada y caliente, con el Cordero y el trío (carne, pollo y cerdo) siendo un favorito. Disfrutamos del ambiente que era amable y agitada.

Distancia desde el centro de Londres, aún se puede encontrar buena comida a precios razonables. Nos llevaron aquí por unos amigos que utilice la colmena regularmente, y disfrutamos del ambiente amable, los vinos y cervezas, y su pescado y patatas fritas, hamburguesa y chili con carne, fuera de las habituales menú tipo pub. El pescado era fresco y excelente, el chili picante y agradable y sabroso. la hamburguesa

He estado aquí tres veces, la comida está bien, y hay algunos tipos de cervezas. Fuera hay un montón de espacio, perfecto para disfrutar de las cervezas al aire libre bajo el sol. Esperando por la comida ha sido corta y en general buen servicio. Estoy bastante seguro que iré allí de nuevo.

Este es mi pub local y fue la primera vez comer aquí. Estaba sorprendido de lo bueno que era y asado los domingos lo barato que es para lo que te dan.

Was really looking forward to a Sunday roast.... My partner ordered 2 roasts well done, when it arrived the beef was red , I asked for it to be taken back which they did, when returned I was expecting a new piece of beef cooked...

La comida es buenísima, limpio, agradable, muy agradable! El sábado fuimos a la hora del té, la comida, el servicio, el ambiente fue maravilloso 1

We were recommended this pub as we were at the cricket at The Oval. We found the customers really friendly but the lady behind the bar a little surly.

We had a great Sunday lunch here, good choice and lovely fresh food. There was good atmosphere and ambience, will be back!

This is a gastropub that has a great atmosphere and the food is generally very good. Sunday lunch is very good here. The interior is bright and fresh, the bar well stocked ( when I was last there was trying some of the scotch they carry). Good outdoor areas in the summer in a quiet part of south London, off the Walworth Road.

From the historical building that survived from the second World War bombing to modern paintings mixed with beautiful old goods such as a vintage sewing machine, this pub smells like a wonder in this seemingly unexciting area in London.Having Sunday roasts in their cute beer garden or hot mussels with a pint in a rainy day is highly recommended. Flip through their collection of books if you are book lover-always found amazing old first editions. Although I am not a burger fan, but my friends only boast about how delicious and generous the burgers served in the Beehive are. Do not miss it if you live in Kennington.

Awesome little pub tucked out of the way in Walworth. Friendly staff and lovely food.Sunday lunch is massive and really tasty.Well worth a visit if your in the area or live locally (like us!)

Being a local to the area I have been a regular here for more than 4 years. Unfortunately the owners have got more and more Lazy over the years and seem to not be bothered to interview their own staff or managers any more. The food is Lazy and the menu has been cut back so far it mainly only has burgers and no daily specials any more. The Bear choice has been cut back and you will be luck to get a clean pint. The Manager and staff are barely interested in serving you a pint or even saying "hello"I am a great believer in "Service with a smile" but unfortunately this is more "Service with a grimace" that is if the Manager and his staff can be bothered to take their noses out of there mobile phones. I do not post reviews good or bad but this is the exception. In the local area there are better pubs with better bear, better food choice, better atmosphere and better more willing staff. To top it off my Wife was witness to the so called "Manager" Threatening a customer with violence. This is simply disgusting. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!

Wandered in on a cold damp evening, planning to pop in for just a drink whilst we planned where next to go.Saw that they served food, asked the waiting staff for some recommendations - and a regular chipped in too - went for his recommendation of a Barcelona burger (chorizo and goats cheese), and a side of freshly made onion rings.I don't ordinarily order burgers when 'dining' out, but when I saw one coming out of the kitchen for another diner, I didn't hesitate.Lovely cosy ambience, clean, quiet-ish (after the madness of escaping the Christmas parties and crowds in the West End), and personable serving staff. My friend enjoyed his beer, and my G&T actually tasted more like a home poured measure, rather than the dilute stuff so many places get away with serving.My first visit - can't wait to go back. As a single female, would quite happily go there on my own.

This little gem is a good solid pub. Nice traditional decor. Tasty food. Friendly service. The burgers are delicious and portions generous in general. The roast is pretty good too. There are not many healthy or veggie options should you need them. But twas ever the case in a pub, right? The beer garden at the front and side is great in the summer. And in my view this pub is the best in this area. One point though - notice its down as a 'gastro pub'. The food is great but dont go expecting 'gastro'.

We went as a party of nine people the decor is very nice and quaint, the bar is well stocked with literally dozens of different whiskies, and wines, the menu is really quite good with several different options.What impressed me was the food was all brought to table at the same time although we had ordered different meals, the sheer quantity of food was staggeringly huge and of the highest quality and all freshly cooked not pre heated like some other gastro pubs, I have to mention one of our party asked for onion rings which when they arrived looked like doughnuts they were huge but very tasty. It may be off the beaten track but if you are in the area looking for a good meal you have to go here.

The Beehive is a local pub to us, we've had some lovely burgers in there and some very amusing evenings indeed. BUT! In the last year, the prices have gone up, quite alot actually, and the quality of the food has gone down. My first ever supper there; amazing goats cheese and red pepper burger with hand cut chips, home made (or damn near taste wise) coleslaw on the side and amazing relish. Since then, I have had frozen chips with every meal, not the tasty hand cut ones, no coleslaw, once no red pepper with the cheese and red pepper burger (kind of key), soggy buns and average relish. I have tried the fish and chips too, and pasta dishes, but it just isn't as good. Such a shame, but we won't be going back again. Each time we do, we hope that it has returned to the same quality of old, but only to be disappointed. Can't argue with the meat quality though, it's always good.

This is my second visit to this nice little pub. The staff are all really nice and welcoming. The food was good, a little pricey but worth it for a good Sunday roast. I only have one small issue and that was that the roast potatoes tasted fried not roasted. The gravy wasn't very thick either but that is my personal taste. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. It's slightly off the beaten track but worth it.

I live just round the corner from this pub and have visited on many occasions. The quality of the food is outstanding and the portion sizes are more than generous and the prices are very good too.My only criticism, is that in the five years that this has been my local, the menu has not really changed. Other pubs in the area have changed theirs on a regular basis to keep it fresh and yet this one remains the same. I would love to see some new dishes alongside the popular favourites so that I keep coming back to this pub rather than some of the others in the area.If you are in the area, do call in as you won't be disappointed.

A very relaxed atmosphere and a super friendly staff serving great food made the Beehive a perfect spot for dinner.

A little pub in the backstreets I wouldnt have found it if I wasnt looking but am I glad I did! Great local service and the food was fantastic! Try the mixed mini-burger platter to sample the best of the food and the beers are cold and refreshing. Also show the champions league football for the fans!

Dopo alcuni giorni di vacanza a Londra dove cercavamo un posto dove mangiare bene a un prezzo ragionevole, ma senza successo, ci siamo imbattuti in questo tipico pub inglese. Cibo molto buono, servizio cordiale e abbastanza rapido nonostante la folla. Ottimo il crumble di mele :-)Il proprietario è italiano, molto simpatico.Posto ideale per chi cerca un'atmosfera inglese e piacevole con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Perfectly ok loca estate pub but really annoyed me as they have withdrawn public access wi fi, which they used to have. As the rather monosyllabic barman told me - they don't give out the password. Was a good bolthole for work - don't bother now.

Lovely little hidden gem just off the madness of the Walworth Road. Warm welcome, good beer selection, ace burgers! Outdoor area which makes the best of what it's got (1960's architects have some serious explaining to do!) and comfy indoor seating. The burgers we ordered were totally amazing, goats cheese and red pepper and lord knows what else with crispy fries and all the trimmings were amazing! Only thing I would change is the music. I think they had a tv channel playing so you got all the chart repeats and some ad's which could be improved but I will be going back again!

Everytime I'm back in London I make a trip down to catch up with the friendly people who run this bar. Excellent service, good food, you can't ask for more.

Fish (from fish & chips) was undercooked to the point of tasting very fishing. Very few chips as accompaniment. Tiny (although delicious) salad came with the meal (actually on the plate). No mushy peas here!Service was excellent from a very sick server!

This pub is a little hidden gem!I only found this little pub by accident as its location is extremely random but it has been such a good find!The food they serve is incredible, last Sunday I took my parents for a late lunch and they were so impressed with the beef Sunday Roast - the portion size was perfect, the huge yorkshire pudding was fluffy and delicious, the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the gravy was perfect. I opted for the Rib-Eye steak and when it came out the cut of meat was huge - cooked & seasoned perfectly! I can say that it was without doubt one of the most delicious steaks I have ever tasted - the chips and peppercorn sauce were equally as nice!The service is down to earth and extremely friendly! The pricing is very reasonable!Not to be missed!

Best local boozer in south London. Friendly staff, good pub group, excellent wine list & good value for money.
