Costa in Cheshire West and Chester

No lift .. which is impossible if you have a newborn in a pram or a wheelchair …. And the response from an assistant was ‘use the escalator’ what !!!! Have you not got a health and safety policy …. For goodness sake a Saturday with no lift …. If you want people to shop then get the facilities l.. mend the lift !!!

Came in today 30/12/19, served by a very polite young man James I think the staff called him, took my coffee to my table too! Nice place but busy,all in all a good visit!

Nos detuvimos para tomar un café en camino a la graduación de mi hijastro. El café era bueno y el personal era encantador. Ayudaron a una pareja de ancianos que querían algo que no estaba disponible, haciendo todo lo posible para mostrarles exactamente las alternativas. Hicieron un esfuerzo adicional y fue maravilloso verlo.

Precioso día de otoño en una ciudad encantadora. Buena parada de café en una tienda concurrida, un descanso muy bienvenido. Excelente café y personal muy amable.

Altijd als we in Engeland zijn, moeten we minimaal één keer bij een Costa naar binnen voor een medium cappuccino en een flinke kop thee. Ik moet zeggen dat de kwaliteit van de cappuccino de laatste jaren wel wisselend is. Deze keer was er echter niets mis mee. Echt lekker, een flinke kop met mooi schuim.

Not full but lots of tables with trays and dirty crockery lying on empty tables. Had to askk the staff to clear a table for us! We sat near the counter and the edges were dirty and dusty. It seems that this is not a very well run costa. Staff looked harassed and over worked. Perhaps more staff at a weekend ??

A Very clean store in the center of Chester. The service was fast and the coffee was hot. They have very professional staff.

Unfriendly staff , not the tidiest of places - as most costas seem to becoming , these days . Takes forever to get served . It’s only coffee after all !

The staff very helpful made all customers feel welcome.the tables cleared and cleaned as soon as customers left

Il locale della medesima catena si trova nel pieno centro di Chester, non ha ne parcheggio ne tavolini all'aperto ma solo all'interno, abbiamo preso il caffè, sempre buono come nel loro standard di catena.

I love costa. I especially like this one as it's in primark and I also love primark. The staff are really friendly and the service is good. The seating areas are nice surroundings to sit in and there's always plenty of cakes on offer. I had a hot chocolate and a choc o crunch. The hot chocolate could have been a bit hotter but you can't fault it. The toilets are clean too. Definitely a recommend.

This place is quite handy when you are shopping instore, it can get a little busy too, depending on the time of day. I wish more stores did this!

When I go to a Costa, I like to go to this one the most! Firstly, it's in a Primark store, so bonus points for that! I have always found the staff helpful and very friendly. It does get pretty busy but the staff seem to work like clockwork! It has always looked clean and tidy. The only downside is that the shop could do with being a bit bigger. But I'm always happy with the place, it's nice and relaxing to have a coffee!

Went back to my home town Chester for Christmas and my wife and I called in here for shopping and then a good coffee and a snack. As expected it was good and welcoming since it was a cold day outside. Nice place to stop and fill up before continuing shopping

Visit here every morning for a flat white,which is always perfect the staff are cool the toilets are always clean . What's not to like !!! Great coffee Great staff Enjoy .... Keep up the good work

Este es realmente un costa, al estar en la calle principal en el centro de centro. A menudo está lleno, así que pruebe uno de los otros cuatro primeros en Chester - hay uno en W H Smith, uno en Primark, uno en el centro comercial y en Grosvenor cerca de Tesco.

Happy to serve us coffee - but then 2 mins having got them - told us to leave as they were closing. Poor customer service Indeed!

Lovely staff, jovial and very helpful. I was really pleased that the staff wanted to get our order exactly right and nothing was too much trouble ( I am particular about my earl grey ) . Tables were cleaned frequently and toilets were spotless.

Plus points in that its in Primark and ypu can get a coffee whilst the missus is shopping. Minus points in that there is only half of the menu available in terms of sandwiches, paninis etc.Ah well at least I didnt have to wait outsode the changing rooms I guess...m

when shooping in primark we didn't reliase there was a costa up stairs. This is my first costa too, had a white hot chocolate a big cup with 2 handles on the side, it was lush but way too much, I'll have smaller cup next haha.

I was on my break at work, so myself and a coworker decided to enjoy two Mochas from this Costa location. We sat out In the outdoor seating area as it was a sunny day.Our mochas were in a nice generous mug, and we were given the option if we wanted whipped cream on top, and I said yes. It was delicious.As it is a small walk from my work, we will be back again.

Costa's are fairly similar wherever you go, but this one is a cut above, ok, the coffee and food is similar to others but the staff are really really friendly and have a great sense of humour, it is also good to see that they are very attentive when it comes to cleaning tables when people have left, not an easy thing to keep on top of when the place is very busy, it really makes a difference when the staff are so attentive not just serving you, I really like it here and will be going back, please thank the staff for taking the time and their attention to detail, it does make a difference

Very disappointing visit today - seem very short staffed. Toilets were an absolute disgrace - dirty - rubbish all over the floor - water all over floor - dirty around toilet rim and seat ! Shocking !!!!

Let me start with the positive, it's Costa and it's in Primark, which is fantastic when your wife and daughter are shopping!However... The coffee shop was quite empty, which was great, a good choice of seats to look out to the passing world. However, the coffee was terrible. Not even a bit wrong, genuinely terrible.I ordered a Cortado, as I always do in Costa. First go, not great, an overflowing glass with too much attention paid to the design on the top and not enough to what was actually in there. No problem, another one was on its way, great!Except, it was the weakest Latte I've ever had. Bad enough if I'd ordered a Latte, but this was a Cortado, I expected to know there was coffee in it but as far as I could tell, I had hot off coloured milk.Now, I'm a regular to Costa so I'm sure this was a one off, but the one guy working in there clearly wasn't confident and so the good name of Costa might have been affected by his lack of experience. I genuinely hope so...

We were a group of ladies who called for an assortment of coffee's, cakes & sandwiches at about 12 noon on a Saturday. Of course it was extremely busy & the queue for drinks was a little slow, but they had plenty of staff working & they seemed organised - once you reached the front of the queue it only took a few minutes to be served, seated & the hot food brought out to you.

We called in at this particular Costa coffee house having agreed to meet my daughter, grand daughter and great granddaughter. We had only a skinny Latte each and toast for two. The staff are all very pleasant and the service is brisk and served very efficiently. All with a selection of Sunday newspapers.As we entered the coffee shop we noted that the air con was blowing very cold air I mentioned this to the manager who immediately adjusted the temperature, much appreciated. We have used many of the branches of Costa up and down the country and they are much of a muchness but I thought Chester deserved a mention..

same as any other Costa, decent coffee, a little dear but better than most. Friendly staff, clean and tidy, good atmosphere, go here for a break and a coffee, it's Costa... Always good.

called in after a full day of walking at the zoo whilst waiting for daughter to finish a lecture, had a lovely iced tea lemon drink and daughter had cappachino, as always very nice

It seems that part of Costa Coffee's current expansion plan involves opening branches inside any Next or Primark store with enough space for them to squeeze into. The one in Chester city centre is upstairs in Primark next to the children's clothing department. We popped in for quick drinks because we needed to kill a bit of time before making our way to the railway station and it served it's purpose. It's hard really to comment much because it's just like every other Costa I've ever been in - the coffee was ok, the baristas were friendly and efficient and the toilets were a bit manky. There were a couple of tables next to the windows at the front of the store which must be great for people watching but not surprisingly they were already taken when we visited.
