Coronation Fish Bar in Cheshire East

By far one of the best fish and chip shops in Crewe. The chips are freshly cooked, the fish are also great, with nice, non-soggy batter, boneless and with large flakes and the mushy peas are real mushy peas. I also think the fishcakes are good, not too dry and not like they're filled with paste. Very good value for money and if you order the Coronation Special, a very good sized portion to fill most bellies.

This fish bar (take-away) has just reopened after 12 months, having to make major repairs. I had fish chips and peas and they were excellent. I have not had as good as these in a long, long while. Well cooked chips, high quality well-cooked fish (no soggy batter!). I would definitely recommend.

Awful. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was tiny, flat (nothing on it) and the batter chewy and hard. It was as though it had been hanging around for days. The chips were soggy. Will not return.

I rang through an order- 1 done kebab with salad , lemon & mild chilli sauce & 1 Mediterranean chicken kebab with salad & sweetcorn relish. 1 small chips & a large mushy peas. When I got home i found I had been given a mixed Mediterranean & tandoori chicken in a tray & a mixed Mediterranean, tandoori & done in a tray . Usually very good but you've dropped the ball this time afraid guys

Just popped in for a nice fish and chips, staff are always lovely, food is always fresh and the place is always very clean.

Been several times in last few weeks due to needing a quick meal close to me. Although have used several times before. One of the best Fish and Chips I've had anywhere. Also proper mushy peas! All food is fresh. Staff friendly and serve as quick as they can. Not really any more to say other than I'll be back soon.

There food is brill You get a huge portion and could easily share. The chicken meat is lush but get there early as it goes quick

Delicious! No re-heated chips or undercooked fish... and great if your in a rush for something and fancy a nice chippy tea!!!

No re-warmed chips or tiny mushy fish here! Staff are lovely and very friendly - I always have a 'small' portion of chips aka a cone as the portions are huge so if you have a huge appetite don't worry, they can cater for you. Great value for money as ever last bit is eaten.

Absolutely gorgeous! Always hot and tasty, portion sizes are massive and the girls are lovely. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Lovely staff and always good portions We travel further for this chippy as never been let down, lovely fish too. Highly recommend to anyone even if it's not your local!

Absolute bargain and it's lovely! Mini fish chips small sausage and any sauce £3!! It's a definite must have. My favourite chippy in Crewe.

Realmente era el mejor fish and chips de la zona! No puedo comer pescado pero yo estaba con otros que estaban comiendo pescado y todos convinieron en que era delicioso! Me había maltratado, salchichas con patatas fritas y realmente era genial!

Comida excelente, recién preparado y a muy buenos precios. Qué más puedo decir. Si no has probado, entonces ¿por qué no? Mejor y válvula estándar chippy en Crewe.

I often call in at my local fish and chip shop as it offers excellent value fir money. Giant portions at a good price. Serving good old peas,gravy and curry on top of (not literally if you are like me) well cooked fish and chips..Also the best kebab with a choice of three different ones. Lots more and lots of specials. Excellent.

I've heard people rate this place mainly due to portion size after eating nothing all day went there for fish and chips threw up all next morning it put me off maybe it was just my luck but wouldn't go again

They do amazing food. There best is the house special which is around £5 enough to feed two people. It is donner meat, chicken meat, chicken tika meat, chips, sausage, pita and salad and tastes so good. Staff are friendly highly recommended.

I used to come here when I was a little girl. When your chips were wrapped in newspaper and my grandad would send me to get an 'Irish man' (chips and mushy peas).Lovely staff. Lovely fish. Lovely homemade chicken curry and homemade fishcakes!

Ask for a large chips and you'll be able to feed a whole family!! Great chips, fish, pies and loads of other stuff too, all at a great price.

The best chippy in Crewe! I live down south now but I'm from crewe. I visit family often who live just up the road from this chip shop every time I visit I make sure I order from here. The portion size is massive!! And the quality is fantastic and like always the staff are really friendly.

One of the best chip shops in Crewe and very good value for money. Fish does not have any bones and is cooked perfectly (no soggy batter) and Homemade fishcakes are divine. The chips are beautifully cooked and you get a very good portion.
