Had a quick lunch here on our walk today. Babies sandwich was perfect- good value for money. Presentation of all food was great. Sadly our jacket potato was still frozen inside - staff were happy to resolve and very apologetic. Delicious soup. Good prices.

Absolutely gorgeous little tea room. Super delicious flapjack 😋 a welcome treat on our walk. Proper cuppa served in a clear glass mug ! How trendy is this … A little hidden gem in my beloved Wensleydale. Will be back to sample the amazing sandwiches I spied leaving the kitchen. Local Yorkshire fodder at its best 💚

How hard can it be to make a tuna and cucumber sandwich? We placed our order. Hot chocolate, tea, piece of cake and I ordered a tuna and cucumber sandwich on white bread rather than wholemeal granary bread. The hot drinks come in glass mugs. In the meantime a member of staff came and double checked what I wanted. Food eventually came and I had the opposite of what I ordered. I mentioned it and she said it's what I'd ordered. I didn't want to complain, so said I'd eat it. I was beginning to feel flustered because she then said could have another one if I wanted but try a bite of the one I'd been given to see if I liked it? Eventually I ended up with the original order of a tuna sandwich on white bread. Even then the cucumber was missing and had watercress instead. I wasn't the only person to problems with the staff. Another man walked out.

Visited cafe once we seen the Aysgarth falls. Friendly and welcoming staff. Served quickly with a great choice of food and drinks. Had cappuccino with Irish cream syrup, yummy. Plus bacon butties. The navona was rely thick and excellent quality. Also had an icecream on the way out. Creamy and quite a good price. Definitely visiting again!! The cafe is located inside Aysgarth visitors centre. Food was overpriced and very average. Slapped salad on like it was going out of fashion. £4 for a sandwich to get it on some btec subway bread, with no Mayo, drier than ghandis flip flop, one slither of ham, and a full bag of spinach in, guess they thought i was popeye. Also, cheese was horrible on toastie and not even melted, make food better at 2 in morning in kitchen. Overall, aysgarth falls is class but don’t go to cafe unless you wanna remortgage your house for a ham and cheese toastie.

used this as a quick stop off. Ordered coffees but didn’t have anything to eat. No menu on the table just a board on the counter with limited amount of food on it. Cakes were on display but as it was near the end of the day the choice was limited. Welcome was friendly. My one negative was that we had to wait quite a while to get two coffees, nothing fancy just two ordinary coffees, and when they arrived that had a chocolate dusting on the top which unfortunately didn’t compliment the coffee. The price was a tad expensive as well. £5.85 for two coffees

It was towards the end of the day and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Others came in afterwards and did moan a bit as they were said they were shut, looking at us as we enjoyed our drinks and food. Like all places the staff need to go to their homes and also need time to clean and tidy the premises before leaving. Think some people’s attitudes don’t recognise this. Visiting the area and had seen many reviews about this wonder cafe. After a great walk you need a hearty meal. Can’t think of a better place to find that. I’m not sure if this place has changed hands but the sandwiches were terrible. We ordered a cheese sandwich and a Wensleydale sandwich with soup for £12. The soup was good if not a little too salty but the sandwiches were something you would eat for school dinner. Cheap white sliced bread over filled with grated cheese, there wasn’t even any chutney for the Wensleydale one. The bread choice was either white or brown so I’m assuming both were sliced and there was no option of a roll. The scones did look good but we didn’t get one.

This place is such a treat! We visited today and had high hopes, having seen some of the reviews. It definitely lived up to expectations! The staff were so friendly and helpful - true Yorkshire hospitality. My mum and I shared one of the homemade soups (expecting to just have a spoon each and dig in!)...but the staff were so amazing they actually split the portion and served on separate plates/bowls for us! I fear we’ll never be able to have normal soup again though...we were spoilt with a jug of cream, a healthy portion of Wensleydale cheese and a huge chunk of fresh, warm bread and butter each! My dad’s filter coffee was topped up for free throughout our visit. And the cakes...oh the cakes! Again the staff split our shared portion of homemade Lemon Drizzle cake and gave us each another portion of cream. Better yet, our Spaniel was not only allowed inside with us...but they were also more than happy to provide a water bowl, and cooked up a couple of hotdogs for her (plus gave her lots of fuss!) I believe dogs are only allowed inside during the winter period - but this seems more than reasonable bearing in mind it’s a relatively small, very popular cafe particularly during peak summer season! I can see why this Cafe has won lots of awards - including a People’s Choice one! An absolute must - we’ll be back!

What a treat after a walk or simply a visit to the Falls.. This small café has the most delicious scones (with homemade jam) and flapjack that we have ever had and, we think, are ever likely to have. It is homebaking at its very best. Add to this the friendly service from the various members of staff and the bonus of having the baker on site, and you have the perfect place to relax with a cuppa and a cake....or scone...or flapjack. They even came round to top up your coffee. Thanks to Karen and April for such lovely food and a great café; one to which we shall return every time we are in the Dales (which is most years!). Called in after a walk around the falls. Sandwich was great and the blueberry scone was fantastic and still warm. Only let down was having 1 tea bag in a large tea pot, should have at least two tea bags when you order tea for two people. Other than that was nice.

We had lovely soup and cake at this cafe. Very reasonable prices, brilliant service and so accommodating of my family’s dietary needs (a vegan, a vegetarian with a dairy allergy and a fussy teenager). Wonderful vegan cake with big portions. They cater for gluten free too. The ice-cream was great too.

Visit this cafe every time we come to this part of the sales. Usually the weather is cooler than at present so their wonderful soup is the order of the day, home made and generous portions served with pouring cream and a bowlful of grated Wensleydale cheese. Too warm outside for soup today so fruit cake with a slab of Wensleydale, delicious and still a very generous portion. Service is friendly and swift. Cannot fault the Coppice.

What an excellent little cafe. Homemade cakes are superb. We had coffee and walnut and also lemon drizzle. They were excellent and very fresh. The coffee in there is actually great value as it is only £ 1.70 a big cup and it is awesome. None of your cheapo coffee beans ( as used by the multi nationals ) and it was not a surprise we went twice on the day. The table service is very good too with three lovely ladies in attendance. Good luck to them in the future.

Both times we visited this cafe the same day we were met with friendly staff and quick service. Lovely hot drinks and the rest of my family enjoyed giant scones.

What a little gem of a cafe. Breakfast service is personal and welcoming. The menu was taylored to my choice and so tasty. Yet to enjoy the evening menu but it always looks so warm and welcome when I drive by in an evening.

Owen hosted our wedding reception. Lovely family do (7 bridesmaids and 3 pageboys between 5 and 10) with an outside BBQ. Happy for us to put up a bouncy castle. Really relaxed feel. We put up gazebos in case it rained so we could cover an outside area to seat 48. We had a band inside later. Room to dance. Couldn’t have asked for more.

A cut above your normal Sunday pub lunch. Excellent presentation and really tasty. Not the normal boiled veg. Very good.

Gorgeous little spot and great local cheese and tea and scones and chutney. Friendly staff too, who chatted with us for a while. They gave us free apples as well.
