1 person behind the bar. 3 waiting staff. Full restaurant. We had booked for Sunday lunch. When lunch finally arrived it was luke warm. But we waited so long we weren't sending it back. What a shame lovely selection of vegetables and plenty of meat.

Really disappointed. Ran out of Roast Lamb which is fine as we were eating 15.30. Chose the beef as an alternative. When the meal arrived I was told they had run out of horseradish. Would've like to have been told prior to ordering the beef. Beef was incredibly tough, potatoes and veg tasteless, gravy very watery. Asked the waitress to pass the feedback onto the chef.

We were visiting Cornwall and had eaten at The Crows Nest ( a smaller sister pub to The Copley). We had enjoyed our visit so much that we decided to try here and were glad we did. The menu is very similar but there is sufficient choice to provide variety. We has a warm welcome from Benjamin who ensured our evening was enjoyable. Both pubs do not have extensive menus but what they do they do well including fresh seafood and pie of the day.

Apart from the staff that were all very efficient, the Sunday lunch was terrible The food was just warm the vegetables resembled mushed up baby food. It sounds as if this pub served a lovely Sunday once over, certainly not now. Disappointed.

Staying at a local cottage, pub was recommended to us. Wish we hadn’t bothered, veggie burger and bun dry, skinny fries had salt on them. They need to ask customers if they want salt, I don’t like it, gave my fries to partner, onion ring was nice. Partner had fish n chips, fish nice but chips were hard, mushy peas were crushed garden peas, partner doesn’t like garden peas. Won’t be going back

Staying local so we thought we would try the local village pub for a Sunday roast Wow what a mistake that was The service was rubbish the staff spent most of the time on there phones The starter was very nice thank god we had it We both had roast pork it came out to us cold unappetising everything just piled on top of everything we had to wait for cutlery and when we was finally asked if everything was ok I clearly said NO it’s the worst roast dinner Ive ever had £17 well thank fully our dog hadn’t eaten so he had it for his tea Will not be going back and certainly not be recommending it Roast dinners are meant to be the best meal of the week Thank god we are in Cornwall and can’t go wrong with a pastie

We’ve been visiting the Copley Arms for several years now & it’s always been a place for good food. However since the management changed, the quality of the meals is on a downhill slope. We visited on Sunday 2nd June for lunch. My wife has turkey, I had lamb. The meals were well presented but barely warm. The plates were cold. The turkey was dry, vegetables were nice. However just the cabbage, it was virtually raw and cold! The lamb was plentiful but dried out. It was tough and tasteless. Just meat without flavour. I did get an apology after complaining!

Such a lovely pub to stumble upon, we returned several times during our week in Cornwall and it seems to be popular with tourists and locals alike which is always a good sign. The beer garden is very pretty sitting by the river with a small play area for any younger guests, although the place was always peaceful and relaxing. Menu looked great but only had drinks here. Staff were always very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped here on our way back to our campsite. Turned out to be the best food we had in a very long time...friendly welcome and atmosphere. Dog was welcomed in which is really helpful. Food was incredible (steak was perfect and the pie of the day was mouth watering). Price was more than we would usually pay but worth every penny! Young chef answered our questions about ingredients and was humble about our compliments. Overall a great dining experience.

Good food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The food came out well decorated and hot and it was nicely seasoned. My only one tiny little ‘issue’ if you can call it that, was the service bell was loud where we were sitting (more towards the end of the restaurant) but I understand it’s for staff to hear when food is ready. It was a little bit of a conversation interruption!

Lovely pub, beautifully done up inside with characterful decorations & lots of twinkly lights!! The staff are lovely & I have enjoyed popping in for a drink as it’s a large pub but seems to usually be busy! I have only eaten here for a Sunday roast but was quite disappointed, particularly as it’s quite costly for what it is. I did end up leaving everything accept the meat & cauliflower cheese, which for £18 is a shame. We would come back to maybe try the normal pub menu & we would happily return for a drink.

We went to the Copley Arms for Sunday lunch. We had been there before and enjoyed it however our experience yesterday was very different. The girl showing us to our table looked thoroughly miserable and never broke a smile during our entire visit. Not the warm welcome they advertise. The roast dinners were barely warm and therefore not enjoyable. We did not indulge in dessert due to the atmosphere and also the increase in price from £7 to £10. Based on today’s experience I doubt we will return.

When meal came presentation was absolute terrible. When it was time to pay my bill they had items on my bill I hadn't had. As I had already paid I had to go back and get refund for what I hadn't had. We saw a sign advertising two Fish and Chip meals for £25 and live music and so decided to go there on the last night of our holiday. The fish and chips (including gluten free) was large tasty and well worth the money. Other dishes looked more expensive but the food looked good and was well presented. It is a dog friendly pub. And then to top it all Elvis was in the building. We did get the impression it was normally a bit more upmarket than it appeared on our visit but we enjoyed the evening as it was after a day exploring Cornwall.

We went for Sunday Roast. I ordered the lamb which was £7.00 more than the chicken £19.95 total. The food was barely luke warm and consisted of 3 under cooked roast potatoes a sliver of parsnip, one small carrot, red cabbage which was ok. 3 slices of non discript meat, a side dish of something shredded and green and brown cauliflower cheese. When we asked for extra gravy we had to ask twice because they forgot. Out of a table of 5 next to us 3 of them sent there food back for being cold. Shall not eating ther again. Its only roast how hard is that.

And all I can say is that it was nothing was too much of a problem to be honest we all said that it was One of the best meals we have ever had even the chef come to check if everything was okay with our meal and that was a big difference that I have never experienced and what I seen with the rest of the food that It's a shame that our hoilday has come to a end but hopefully we will be back soon. So all I can say is if your passing by this lovely little gem of Cornwall's crown stop in you will never be disappointed the food is like heaven and the chef and the kitchen staff bar staff and owners 100% know what they are doing. Beautiful setting, lovely surrounding. Unfortunately the service was a very frantic and disorganised on our first trip to the bar. On second visit to the bar(to order food) we were ignored whilst waiting for a while. The bar staff then said ‘be with you in...

I enjoyed a lovely cod and chips in this well ran pub after a day walking. Shane and Amanda made me very welcome, it was very relaxing and a good end to a day, I would visit again if I was in the area.

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
