Coops Cafe in Kirklees

Little spot of lunch whilst visiting my daughter at University. We all had something different but the food was absolutely delicious and you get a lot on your plate. From a mega breakfast too a sausage and bacon roll. Quick service and asked for my bacon well done just really tasty food. Highly recommend.

Stopped off whilst driving through huddersfield this morning for breakfast. Food was lovely, very quick service, amazing value. Worth a visit!

I hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses but in this instance it deserves comment. We visited at approx 11.30am on a Sunday. The young girl "serving" customers, I use that term very loosely, was without a doubt the rudest person I have seen in a customer facing role. She informed me there were no sausages. She did not however offer an alternative to add to the breakfast. I chose to add things in an ad hoc fashion. There were no crumpets, no tea cakes, and no jam either. This cafe is next to two very large supermarkets- despite this, after ordering and paying for the ,eals she then came out to tell us there was no bread, either. No apologies, just..meh. The meals, when they came, were poor at best. Plus, missing mushrooms. When I asked where they were - yep, there weren't any. I feel charging for a standard breakfast with two of the items missing from it is somewhat optimistic. More worrying was the fact the food was luke warm. I'm quite sure the beans and the tomatoes had sat out for sometime and the bacon was clearly cooked earlier, the egg was barely cooked and also cold. Food should be hot held at 63c and above and served at 72c -this was nowhere close. Perhaps we came a little late? Not sure,their advertised serving time is until 12,30 but the young girl, while loudly telling her colleagues that they should be paid time and a half on a weekend (again- optimistic) was busily unplugging the open sign while we were still sat waiting for the cold food. At 12.15. There are also signs everywhere saying cash preferred due to high charges. The bathroom had a sign on it saying out of order. In all, there are more inviting places to spend time, and not to mention, money.

I can't speak for anything other than the breakfast because that's all that me & my mates have ever had , Breakfast. But I'll tell you what; it's very good. Anyroads, it's basic & clean inside but more than anything, the staff are great. I'll give you example. I had arranged to meet my mate for Breakfast but the fool was late. His breakfast was just sitting there on the table going cold. After twenty minutes, I asked if it could be kept warm for him & they said yes. In the event they threw it away. But here's the thing, when he eventually arrived, they made him a fresh one & refused to take any more money. They even gave me another cup of tea. Now that's customer service.

Fantastic breakfast. All sorts of choices and all very fresh. Staff are lovely and the seating areas outside are spotless and comfy. We'll worth a visit.

I moved away from Hudds back in 2012, but every time I come back home to see friends and family I make sure I call in for breakfast and introduce my Welsh friends to the wonders of "Spam" we stayed in the Aspley Premier inn but preferred to pop across the road to Cafe8 as the breakfasts are much better value.. brilliant service and lovely food what more can you ask for. will be back soon..

Sadly to say when you order the food is a lot of mistakes with order ,and worst is to check the date as crisp as can be expired.

A hidden gem, just off the ring road in Huddersfield. Staff amazingly welcoming, place spotlessly clean, great menu choice, free wi-fi and outside seating available. Very busy but not surprising. Mobility access and disabled toilet. Take out service available. Order at the counter, waitress brings order with a smile. Food all cooked well and tasty. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. The owner makes sure the place runs like clockwork, keeps the inside and outside clean. Deserves the place to be a success!

I've been here on numerous occasions, everytime never disappointed. Several options for breakfasts and other meals. Do some very big breakfasts right through to a slimming world breakfast. Service is prompt and polite and they even cater for stag and hen dos on a weekend.

Called here on the off chance after visiting the local timber merchants and so glad we did. Fab little terrace to eat breakfast in the sun and great service and food. It was a popular place and rightly so. Had a nice chat with the owner and it was a little gem we’ll certainly go back to. One last but very important thing.... the coffee was excellent. You could tell it was a quality product and they hasn’t scimped at all. Top marks to Cafe 8!

I've been working away in Huddersfield for a few weeks and looking for a good veggie breakfast. Went here this morning and it was lovely, I ordered a veggie breakfast, hot chocolate and toast and this only came to £5. The breakfast included chopped tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and 2 fried eggs. The eggs were cooked just right. Hot chocolate was lovely too.

Found this little gem hidden in Huddersfield near the university ordered a breakfast pizza box and wasn’t disappointed 16inch pizza boxed stuffed full with 3 soft drinks too the food was banging hot and very tasty - restaurant area very clean and very well decorated also as a beer garden that looks so lovely and cosy will be making most of that next time we come by already planning are next visit next week depending on the weather staff and service exceptional what a lovely place and definitely recommend it

First impressions were very good as it was well lit, warm and very clean. Ordered breakfast at the counter and it arrived within ten minutes. Food was well presented on the plate, piping hot and very tasty. Price was very reasonable too. Will certainly be going again.

Came for breakfast last month was amazed at how good it was for such a little price. Would recommend to anyone will be returning again for sure.

My wife & I found this quaint cafe by chance in January 2018. We have been back many many times, cannot fault Cafe 8 Food is piping hot, very tasty & very well priced. Staff are friendly, polite & always with a smile. Unfortunately, due to us living up in Durham, & our work is nearly completed, our visits won’t be as regular. But thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts here, a real treat. Keep up the good work. Nick

Well, Subsway,s loss - Cafe 8’s gain. My wife & I were looking for breakfast, latie Sunday morning, stopped at Subway, stopped ding breakfast at 11.00 it was 11.05 My wife noticed Cafe 8 sign. Jackpot Lovely breakfast piping hot & tasty, in a friendly atmosphere. Fantastic price, clean & warm. Returning today - Monday. Definitely recommend! Nick

Era un bonito día sábado en Huddersfield. En el camino a casa, decidimos ir a la cafetería 8 por una bebida pero el café estaba cerrado. Sin embargo, no no sabía que hay un bar! ! ! Está muy cerca de la ciudad, justo enfrente de la carretera principal de Asda y Islandia. George fue increíble. Sótano super! ! ! Se viniendo aquí más.

We call at cafe 8 most weekday mornings for a sandwich, The service and food is always excellent and regularly get a free top up coffee, The cafe is always clean and tidy and always good to no it as 5 food hygiene rating

Go every morning for breakfast before work food is always excellent, staff are very welcoming! Would recommend

Siempre comida fantástica y servicio como estándar, si por alguna razón no está bien, me veinteañeros mencionar y su rectificado inmediatamente. La carne es de una calidad mucho mejor que cafés normales, y que utilizan las marcas de calidad real como heinz, hp y yorkshire tea, que es una gran cosa para mí. El interior está limpio y luminoso y siempre amable. un fantástico café Yorkshire. El bar de la planta baja también es fantástica y la ciudad vi llegar promovida, siempre será un bar especial!

Fuimos para el desayuno hoy ordenados un desayuno grande que era decepcionantemente pequeño para el precio que pagas.

Decidimos probar de nuevo después de la comida era buena, la primera vez, pero esta vez la porción parece un poco pequeña para 5 libras. 50 y terminó enviando la comida ya que estaba un poco fría y que básicamente era simplemente calentado vuelta y envió a entender si podía el café estaba lleno pero no mucha gente en este tiempo decepcionado

Yo venía con mi novia para un desayuno que hemos estado antes y siempre ha sido impresionados, pero en esta ocasión, el servicio era pésimo. Pedí un sandwich de bacon y salchichas y mi novia pidió un pequeño desayuno. El sandwich llegamos 5 minutos antes del desayuno y estaba apenas tibia. Cuando el pequeño desayuno llegamos sin pan era trajo y nos dijeron que tendríamos que esperar otros 5 minutos. Pasado 10 minutos sin pan era trajo y el desayuno frío y fuimos finalmente sólo la mitad había comido. Nos dijeron que el personal espera y pareció divertidísima y fuimos riendo, trajo un 50 p" "Restitución de una visita de 8 libras. Completamente chocante y no convirtiendo de nuevo nada, nunca conocidas como. Como ambos tenemos en la profesión de catering nosotros encontramos este servicio al cliente muy pobre.

He estado frecuentando este lugar desde que abrió sus puertas hace un año. Marcus el dueño intenta muy duro para ofrecer una gama de calidad de comida y bebidas a precios razonables. La cerveza abajo es también bastante buena!

100% recomendable excelente cerveza, anfitriones amables y buena compañía un gran bar para relajarse y descansar.

I am not one for visiting cafes often but by chance popped in to Cafe 8 the other day. What a wonderful cafe! Very polite staff, good food and well priced. May have to break my habit of not visiting cafes often and pop back soon!!

Very clean and impressive eating area. Well groomed and tidy staff dressed in uniform. Courteous and polite and asked if all was well and happy. Food was well presented and looked very appetizing as a first impression should be. Good value too. Well recommended after sampling other similar establishments in Huddersfield with various views on our experiences. This is definitely the best in our opinion. Will visit again for other meals on varied menu.

Coops cafe at Aspley is a welcoming homely retreat, the food is cooked well and Nick (the owner,Coops) is a star character the breakfasts are good and sandwiches also, the place needs a coat of paint however, but don't let that put you off !! We go regular and cannot fault it - keep up the good work coops & co !!!!
