Visited for lunch mid week; the place was fairly quiet, choice of tables inside or out. Friendly staff, tasty food, although it did take a little while to arrive

Great service, never had a bad experience at this restaurant, food always good with plenty of fresh flavours, will visit again

I’m really surprised at the number of positive reviews on here! Fifth visit - always variable but the worst yet. Dirty table - cleaned at the third time of asking. Turkish tea pored somewhat on the tray by the waiter. Batatas Haras (fried potatoes with herbs). Oily, too hard for my fork and cold. A few herbs hiding on the corner of the bowl. Asked for a repeat and they were the same - as though pre-cooked? Bread is the usual machine made stuff - fair enough. Desert was nice. I can only assume the board concentrate on, margin, their bonuses and the share price. You can have bigger profits (in pounds) by higher turnover and smaller margin with greater customer satisfaction. They could learn a lot from a weekend in Dubai visiting some of their Lebanese chains like Arz Lebanon.

Absolutely awful experience, ordered drinks they took all of 20 minutes and even received my food before our drinks arrived the food was stone cold. I informed the waiter that the food was cold he shrugged his shoulders and didn’t give much of a response. Would never go back here waste of time.

I cannot explain how terrible this restaurant was. Firstly, the prices and portions were ridiculous. We paid £7.50 for 3 small chicken wings. Secondly, we ordered a mixed grill for a whopping £18.95 and received two tiny kebabs and 3 pieces of chicken with the smallest salad ever. The salad was so DRY we couldn't eat it. The kebabs were awful, burnt and charred. 10% service fee for awful service. I ordered a side of chips which we did not receive and they tried to add it to our bill. Don't waste your time coming here, it is not worth your money at all and the food is disgusting. You're better off trying another food spot. Completely horrified.

We came for shopping from London and we were starving for some food and decided to go here since it had halal options. It was a horrible experience, Would never visit again. It was a really long wait between starters and the mains, nearly 45 minutes of waiting, when the restaurant wasn’t really busy. Staffs weren’t helpful at all when we asked them regarding the delay. When we spoke to the manager he was not being polite, I myself work in hospitality and I can say the service was awful. The manager tried to say that they made all the customers aware about the delays when we weren’t informed of anything such. I was at least expecting the drinks to be on the house after all those wait. But we had to pay for our starters and drinks and walkout.

What a fantastic meal. Lived up to expectations and more. I was excited to try this as everything looked so good on the website, and I was not disappointed neither were the other 2 diners. If you're in the area cannot recommend highly enough a visit to this restaurant.

Stood at the door, was ignored, but 4 members of staff chatting over a epos till in front of us eventually one of them said, we will be with you in a mo, stood for another few minutes, they carried on chatting so we walked out! My mother and I wanted to try something new and decided on Comptoir Libanais as it was not too busy (especially for a Sunday afternoon). We were wowed by the interior decor and had the most amazing meals. We were told on entering that they had no halloumi or soup available but that was fine with us. We had good servers and our food was prepared very quickly (and actually arrived before our drinks by a minute or so). I really highly recommend the lamb kofta roll if you like a little bit of spice and the Roomana lemonade if you have a sweet tooth. I think the price was very reasonable and the portion size to be optimal for a main meal. The flavours were fantastic and I am planning my return trip soon! I also appreciate that they did not have a compulsory service charge like many other restaurants.

Brilliant! Much enjoyed this pretty authentic restaurant. It has the real taste of the near East and despite what others have posted, speedy and friendly service. So maybe something miraculous has happened. The two of us started with lamb kibbeh and Tony's hummus, both delicious and accompanied by various Dead Sea pickles and a really good bread. For the main, spiced Lamb kofta and a spices chicken kofta, accompanied by an excellent 'winter' style salad. The wine was well chosen and you actually got a large generous amount. The traditional dessert of mouhalabia was very good, very sweet as most eastern dishes are, accompanied with sweetened dates and pistachios/sesame seeds which gave you a real flavour of the country. The restaurant is colourful and clean. If you like near and middle eastern food, you'll like this, ignore the other reviews. Reasonably priced too.

We were looking forward to trying the menu for a chain I have long looked at thinking I would like the food. Having been handed two menus and advised to sit at a table for two that is where our experience ended. Even with mouthing “can we order” no one returned. So we ordered our falafel at the Pret next door, service with a smile, delicious and a fraction of the price.

Decor - Great Service - Great service given there was not enough staff, the lady that was serving us was trying her best.. Food - Below Par.. sadly it was not great, our dishes were majority salad heavy, in-fact, red cabbage takes up 80% of the plate.. not really worth it for the price of the meals.. A-lot of potential but this place wasn’t for us.

On Monday the 11th of September at 12.30pm my adult daughter and I visited the Ashford Mcarthur Glen restaurant.  It was our 3rd visit in 18 months, we live a good distance away. Our 1st 2 visits were amazing.  Greeted, seated and attentive service. We spent around £50 each time. This time it was:  Here's a menu Find a table Order at the bar Pay up front One dish arrived 15 mins after the rest of meal.  Nobody checked on us 2 other tables arrived after us and were given full attentive table service without paying up front. The premises had about 2 tables inside and 3 tables outside, so not busy. I don't understand why we were treated differently,  our last 2 visits we ordered extras through our meal and tipped well. We were well behaved and polite customers.  This time we ate quietly and left unnoticed. We didn't leave a tip this time as we felt we were not served. We also spent £20 less. Sadly that was our last visit, we won't be going back.  I know that won't impact you at all but I just wanted to let you know that the dismissive service we had did have an impact on us. When a patron returns when they can it proves the service and food impressed them. I have fond memories of eating here, so I decided to return recently. Sadly, the fondness must remain a memory. Perhaps I should have read the recent reviews as there does seem to be a pattern. Firstly the service was good, but then it went downhill. I chose the tagline of chicken with carrots and lemon confit and green olives accompanied by couscous. The good points. The chicken was chicken and the couscous was couscous! The carrots were two chunks and any lemon confit or lemon confit flavour or green olives were missing entirely. So what did I have? The three ingredients already mentioned and a very small bowl of a sort of green flavourless bland liquid. This tasted of nothing in particular and there wasn’t an olive to be seen unless they had been added and then blended into the tasting of nothing liquid! I used this sparse green stuff sparingly as it was nowhere near enough to ensure that I wasn’t left with nothing but dry couscous, however I failed miserably so still ended up with a mass of the stuff on my plate which I left as the entire dish had been so disappointing, and lacking in flavour. How can a meal be so flavourful and enjoyable in a restaurant and then upon returning the same meal is utterly different is a mystery to me!

Very dry chicken, no flavour to it, hummus drowned in grease oil,OVERPRICED!!!. I definitely will avoid at all cost I rather go hungry than ever eat that again sits in stomach for hours making you feel sick.

Where do I start. We ordered drinks to start, no cider, no ginger beer. Ordered starters they had all of them, my one was a bit dry. Main meals no Haloumi, Puddings no rice pudding and no chocolate brownies. Service very slow, food quality was poor, dry and sauces not much taste to them, when mentioned to manager her reaction was well these things happen. Would never go back there again and that was verdict of 7 people.

When you have to tell staff that you’ve finished your starters and ask for mains you know things are amiss. After 45minutes of waiting we actually pointed out we had finished our starters. Food was nice. Chip’s definitely need to be served with the mixed grill. Very over priced for what we had. Won’t be returning.

We first went to this restaurant in September 2021, and it was fantastic, great service and amazing food. This time we, 2 of us, went for a lunch, mid-week at around 1pm. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and the staff were very friendly. The menu had less variety than previously, so we ordered starters of Feta Chilli Dip and Lebanese Humus followed by a Lamb Kofta Wrap and a spiced Lamb Kofta. The starts arrived very quickly and were very nice, flavoursome, and accompanied by warmed bread. The mains followed shortly after we had finished our starters. The Kofta wrap itself was flavoursome, but the accompanying “salad” was a coleslaw base with spice which wasn’t particularly nice. The Spiced Koftas (2) were small and not very flavoursome and was accompanied by the same “salad” that was extremely disappointing. There were also 2 bland sauces. In addition, we had pot of tea, a lemonade, and a rose Lemonade with the total price coming to £51.85. Overall, it was disappointing, the staff were great, but the meal was expensive, and the salad was terrible. We probably won’t be going back which is a pity…….
