Food quality and taste was average. Kebab was burnt. Service was not very good. Location is very good but table for two is very small. If you order more than two dishes no space on table.

Grisilda was an excellent waitress very polite and caring. The food was delicious and will definitely recommend it to all who are visiting Reading town .

Recieved a warm welcome, service was ok- a little slow but ok. Food was tasty. The mezze feast deal seemed like a good offer and although the food was lovely, personally I feel like the offer was overpriced. White sangria again overpriced and tasted like orange juice.

Ermiona was great she served us and made sure that our food was great and we were happy. We are very fussy eaters but we enjoyed everything!!

Delicious food, but service left a very bitter taste Went to comptoir tonight with 3 friends, we all had tagines, there were soooo tasty! One friend ordered an elderflower spritz which was really unpleasant/bitter, when she told the waiter he essentially shrugged his shoulders, she’d had at best 2 sips. I ordered soda and fresh lime and received the tiniest slice of bear dried lime in my soda. We all ordered fresh mint tea after our meal, getting the drinks/dessert menu was no mean feat as waiters were hard to get the attention of. We made a point of saying just mint tea, not the fancier one, even pointed to it on the menu. We were served the fancier, bitter one with tea in it rather than just leaves and told that’s how they did it when clearly they did fresh mint on the menu. Rather than listening to us we were shut down by the wait staff. I left feeling really very angry, and disappointed. We usually go to Comptoir in London, and not sure i’d rush back to Reading branch again after our experience.

Friendly staff and hard work in everything they do. A relaxed and amazing atmosphere for everyone. Great food at a great price, would recommend if you want something new and exciting.Swift booking process, great ambiance, tasty food and excellent service. Great food, location and atmosphere but the staff let it down. Got greeted and the waitress looked angry and pointed to our table instead of actually shown and seated down, took way to long to come and serve us for each thing, instead they was just walking around finding other things to do. Only time they were prompt with coming over is when we had to pay.

Really impressed, very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. Note - This is not a posh, Michelin star place. The decorations are really colourful, the theme is brilliantly done. The waiters and waitresses were really friendly and on point. The food was flavoursome, colourful, authentic. My brother and I left very happy.

It’s a very cute restaurant by the river, with a vibrant Mediterranean vibe and colourful windows. Lamb and chicken kofta are full of flavours and their Tony’s Hommos is arguably one of the best hummus dishes I’ve had in my life.

Excellent supportive advance planning for an 80th birthday big family meal. Gluten free, vegan, 'fussy eaters' and last minute changes all catered for brilliantly. Great service from all staff on the day too. Thank you for such a memorable day. We made a photo book!

The ambience and decor is really warm and inviting. And it’s in a great location both being at The Oracle but also on the river. The orientation is great too because the sun shines through the windows and lights up the place, and sitting by the window looking at the river made for a really nice experience. The food is delicious although I think the portion sizes could be a little bigger. The grilled meat was really well cooked and flavoured, the salad was fresh and had nice seasoning with the pomegranate powder and lemon juice. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, accommodating a few small changes/requests. I have heard from friends that they have had bad service but as I have only been once I cannot comment on this as our experience was great. Perhaps just the odd waiter or two. The place as a whole is run efficiently and seems friendly. I recommend this restaurant for a tasty lunch or dinner.

I recently visited Comptoir Libanais and found the experience underwhelming. I ordered the mixed grill, and a kids' meal for my daughter, but neither of us felt the food lived up to the price. My daughter didn’t really enjoy her meal. On the positive side, the interior is beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t meet expectations, especially given the high prices.

Quantity is such that a cat would have to sleep empty stomach after spending almost 60-70 quid. Just average food quality with undeserving and uselessly inflated price. Much better is available nearby.

İ went with my sister and I had ate a halloumi burger and the staff that took our order was very polite. He was tall and had dark brown wavy hair.

I brought my friends from work to this restaurant to have a couple of starters. The overall experience was amazing, I really enjoyed the music and the Lebanese wings from the menu.

Eaten here a few times and always had nice friendly staff. Good to go on dates, the decor is really pretty. Went for breakfast/brunch and had the mezze platter to share, with some really nice coffees. I had the Tahina and Date coffee and it was gooood! Will definitely go back for breakfast/brunch as it was a nice alternative to other places in Reading.

The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant and comfortable, and the food is delicious and light. I have been a repeat customer of this restaurant because the food is consistently excellent. If you are seeking an alternative to fast food, this is the place to go.

Lovely food, absolutely terrible service. Got ignored by all the waiters milling around the restaurant. Was waiting to be seen at the door for about 15 minutes and asked the waiter to order more food and he never came back. Been a few times but won’t be returning which is a shame!!

excellent location, small food portions, the taste has almost nothing to do with Lebanon or Lebanese food, each food order was hardly enough for one person, the so called Mezza was literally samles and not enough for more than 3 dippings and very expensive. one last thing, the artificial flowers all over the place gave me bad feelings, and those artificial plastic flowers outside are very tall, blocking the nice view of the river

This atmosphere would deserve a lot more than 5 stars - it's so colourful everywhere you look, lovely little details everywhere. The location is fantastic too. It's a guaranteed mood boost. We really liked the drink selection, delicious and unique. My partner had the mixed grill and I had the chicken kofta and a batata harra to share- lovely flavours and portion size, we'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

The foods ok, staff friendly but prices are high for what tadtes like mass produced food. Drinks really expensive for so so choice. It's ok but you could do better, feels very chain.

Unfortunately, it is an experience that I will not repeat. The treatment and food is not good, and a plate of rice does not come without two spoons. I do not recommend it at all.

This is my 3rd time visiting this chain (previous 2 visits in Oxford). What a beautiful setting and decor it has. The food, atmosphere and staff have always been on point. A very enjoyable evening with lots of food, drinks and laughter.

A bit expensive, with decent food but smaller portions. We've had better at other Mediterranean places. The salad could have been fresher, and the bread wasn't as nice as I would've liked it to be.

This is a hidden Gem in Reading. I was hesitant to try as unsure of the cuisine but very glad I did. The mezze platter, Lamb Kofta, honey fig hallumi and Rose mint tea are out of this work and very unique. We were truly looked after by both Anna the head chief and Michelle a supervisor. With amazing food and great service you don't want to miss out. They also serve Rose gelato along with some other stunning tasty deserts. This place is great for all occasions and will be going back with friends.

First visit since covid. A unique restaurant with beautiful decor, nice ambiance and great location. The menu has a wide choice of food, drinks, desserts etc.. All cooked to perfection. The only reason i did not give 5* is we had the main course delivered the same time as the starter. The restaurant was not busy so did not understand the reason. But Katya explained and dealt with situation professionally. Will definitely return.

Food was alright, salmon dish was small for 20 quid and the tomatoes and chickpea base tasted like can food. Mezze was good. Chicken Taouk for 18 quid was chewy, overcooked and small portion. Ambience is beautiful.

Two of us visited for lunch. As it was sunny, we sat outside in a small but comfortable veranda. Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was really nice. There were a number of items we wanted to order that were unavailable. We ordered a mezze for one and for me tabbouleh and halloumi. Drinks were a glass of wine and lemonade, plus a coffee The mezze was fine other than the bread, which was a bit hard. My halloumi comprised of four wafer thin slices about 2 cm by 3.5 cm in a fig and rose water syrup. It was just too small, even as a starter! The tabbouleh was OK (I'm half lebanese, so I know what I'm talking about), but it needed more olive oil and lemon. More importantly, it needed to be bigger. Lebanese cuisine is meant to be generous, and this meal was not. I had baklava for dessert. There were three tiny pieces that were dry and rather tasteless. The meal was not good value for money. Surprisingly, I would eat here again, despite my criticism of the food and value for money. On a sunny day, there are few nicer places to have lunch. The staff are nice, the location is great and the atmosphere is very good.
