Coluco Limited Thame in South Oxfordshire

Didn't warn us how long it would take to get a couple of bacon rolls to take away, lied about progress when chased, gave up and had to settle for a pastry after 25 minutes. Avoid

Went to Coluco today for a light lunch, the place was busy but we were quickly seated by a very pleasant member of staff. An excellent and extensive menu, all freshly prepared, and for one of our party who needed a gluten-free choice there was a good selection on offer. The extensive menu made the restaurant's offerings of special dietary requirements quite clear, something that's not always obvious in other venues. Our order was delightfully served and excellent, we followed up with the cherry Bakewell cake (GF) - all good. Staff friendly and helpful, the place was clean and well kept for such a busy eatery and the decor relaxing and modern. All-in-all a great find (clearly other people think so as well, given how popular it is) and we'll be back. Highly recommended.

Called in for a coffee. Dirty tables and told we may have to move tables as they were expecting a large party. Well then put a reserved sign on the table. Not difficult. A real don’t care attitude. Needless to say we didn’t stay.

My daughter & I had lunch there on 3.1.20 - we came out smelling like a CHIPPY - absolutely disgusting - we have had to wash all our clothes out to get rid of the smell. Has this restaurant got any ventilation system in the kitchens for it to penetrate out into the dining area. Will never never go there again & will certainly not recommend it to anyone. Also has a disgusting smell from the outside!!

I received a lovely and friendly welcome, they serve delicious coffee and there is a nice, gently buzzing atmosphere.

I met friends here for lunch, there was a good choice of food, which was was fine, there was a mistake with the order but it was rectified immediately. It's in a great location with lots of lovely shops nearby.

Feeling peckish I decided to pop in here and have an English breakfast. Ordered my coffee which duly arrived which unfortunately I had finished before my meal arrived. My English breakfast was piled up on two pieces of bread with loads of mushrooms, bacon and beans plus two poached eggs. The poached eggs tasted strongly of vinegar so much so I was unable to eat them. Not the traditional English breakfast meal I would expect and not very well presented all piled up in one mound.Also I ate my meal at the rear of the restaurant with a cold breeze coming from the air conditioner which was quite uncomfortable and it was not a hot day. So if you ever want to try this place have a table near the front of the restaurant

Had lunch "Sharing Platter" which was labelled V, VE, GF, assume, vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free. It was poor, this is not an excuse to present tasteless food. The Green and Black Olives had no flavour, neither did the Tomatoes. The two sauces were thin and had little flavour. Best part were the Veggie crisps & flat bread - cannot get those wrong

Four of us went for a "Celebrity Chef" evening (Tony Singh) and enjoyed every course, which included wine. True, there was not much by way of quantity of food, but every mouthful was delicious. - and well worth the price we paid. The restaurant is atmospheric and the service excellent. We will go again.

Lovely, friendly staff greeted us as we walked in and delicious cocktails went down very well! Alex was very patient as we kept chatting before making our choices but when we eventually did, we were pleased with our strawberry mojitos 😋 Lovely to hear all the new ideas for the place including new frozen cocktails and a grill night... can't wait!

Dropped into Coluco this evening and chose a sausage sandwich and a Camden IPA. The sausage in the sandwich was from a local butcher and it was outstanding. I probably should have taken a picture as it was also delicious in appearance. Staff are friendly, work as a team and obviously enjoy working for this establishment.

I love coluco for a drink and coffee but they continue to be incredibly slow with cooked food. If you don’t have time to wait about an hour for your food to be served then this isn’t the place for you. This is the third time I’ve tried their hot food and the third time I’ve had this ridiculous wait. More fool me for bothering to give them another chance. Would take a lot less effort and time to make my own at home.

Good choice of soft drinks and the coffee was also good. Two drinks were wrong but swiftly corrected. On the Sunday morning we visited there were baby buggies and pushchairs blocking aisles and taking up space - we thought this was maybe a local Sunday morning thing.

Great. Went in around 6:30 on a Saturday. Very friendly staff. Wife and I had brisket chilli. Didn't occur to me it would be beautiful chunks of meat - only ever had 'mince' chilli. Fantastic - my mouth has started watering even though the visit was eleven days ago. Nice bottle of red. Enjoyed every aspect.

We stop off for a bite to eat and found the food to be of a very good standard and service was excellent. We will be looking forward to returning in the very near future.
