Coffee#1 Worcester in Worcester

While visiting a close friend in Worcestershire, after a long trip we decided to go to the closest coffee shop. Our visit to Coffee #1 in Worcester was nothing short of disappointing. While the Mozzarella & Tomato Panini, Tuna Melt Panini, and Pain au Chocolat were decent enough, the beverages we ordered were a letdown. My caramel macchiato lacked the rich flavor I expected, tasting watered down and lacking in depth. My friend's Americano was nothing to write home about – bland and uninspiring. Even the deluxe hot chocolate ordered for her daughter failed to impress, with a lack of richness and creaminess one would expect from a 'deluxe' offering. Coupled with the rude service, our experience was far from satisfactory. It's a shame when even the beverages fail to redeem an otherwise lackluster visit.

Coffee and food is always good when I visit this branch of cafes, service could have been improved as the staff were very fast to serve me almost with no smile or care. But the coffee is still very nice, quiet corner to read my book was what I needed.

Huge variety of choice for hot drinks catering to various allergies and preferences, the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely delicious cake! Very pleasant surroundings to enjoy a coffee and some food. Accommodating for those with disabilities and our dog.

I have always loved Coffee 1 - they tend to be friendly, the coffee is delicious etc. However, in the Worcester branch I am UNFAILINGLY given the wrong milk, which is frustrating and disappointing. And when I go and explain there is NO APOLOGY just huffs and puffs. I never normally leave reviews like this but it has happened about SIX TIMES !!!!!!

This is a fairly pleasant coffee shop serving decent coffees and food. The staff were friendly and the ambience is welcoming. The downstairs toilet was in good order.

The lad doing to toast burnt it and when he asked the supervisor what to do he was told to serve it to the elderly customers. So they turned the burnt side down and took it to the table. Now I would not trust them re hygiene etc.

Visited today. Ordered various drinks and cakes. Ordered a caramel frappe…which should have a shot of coffee in. Spoke to the person serving who said ‘it’s a milkshake, it doesn’t have coffee in it. If you want coffee, it would be extra!’ Frappes are coffee! Check out the recipes - don’t call it a frappe if you are saying it’s a milkshake! Very expensive ‘milk drink’. If you want a decent and property made frappe, McDonalds is the way to go! Disappointing, wouldn’t go again. Cakes £3.75 a slice!!

As it’s full of tables it’s quite cramped at times so moving around isn’t very easy especially if you’ve got a pram, scooter or a wheelchair. They seemed reluctant to clear tables so customers where doing it for them. I’ve worked in hospitality for twenty four years including barista/ front of house and I get turned down for muppets who have no desire to do their very best for the customers.

I like Coffee 0ne. However service was slow today and I was getting bored. I had skipped breakfast at home and had a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich which was greasy and too much of a challenge to finish. However my hot apple juice hit the spot and I loved the idea that Coffee One is dog friendly. I did not have a dog with me but loved meeting other dogs. I did not like the fact there was a unisex toilet. However, because they do smoothies and hot apple juice I will keep coming back here to meet my friends.

Best place for a coffee in the area. Great cakes and a pleasant place to sit and enjoy. Good for Wi-Fi . Very friendly and professional staff.

It wasn’t that busy but they where taking quite a while to serve customers. They weren’t clearing the tables to keep up with demand. I would still like to see healthier options on sale for people who are watching their calories after Christmas.

Coffee was great, tables clean but seating was awful - ripped leather chairs and sofas!! Really didn’t want to sit on them.

Even though one of the staff had a bad arm he did his job very well. The drinks we had where excellent can’t fault them. This is one of our favourite places to go now in town

Meine Freundin und ich reisen derzeit um England herum und haben schon viele Läden besucht. Am letzten Samstag mussten wir uns aus einem Regenschauer retten und haben diesen süßen Laden gefunden. Das Personal hat uns gleich freundlich begrüßt als wir einen Tisch zum hinsetzen gefunden hatten bestellt wir an der Theke einen Kaffee und Käsekuchen, beides wurde schnell und gerne für uns hergerichtet. Da die Engländer eher auf Tee spezialisiert sind ist es oft schwer einen guten Kaffee zu finden, in diesem Cafe ist er jedoch unschlagbar. Das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre waren traumhaft, die Musik passend zur Saison. Es was sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, schnell, motiviert und zuvorkommend. Myself, my daughter, her best friend and Mom were having a day out shopping in Worcester. We decided to have a coffee and lunch in here. We found a table and then went to order. Everything available to eat from the counter apart from two items had got cheese on and as I am allergic to cheese and didn’t like the other two items I asked if they could make me something up. The young male behind the counter said “NO”, nothing else just “NO”. My daughter was then asked by a young female what the problem was and she asked for something without cheese. She was told it wasn’t possible and all they could offer me was a toasted tea cake which I didn’t particularly want. Why put cheese on every type of sandwich that you sell? We said we would go elsewhere and the young girl said “well I did offer you an alternative “ Neither one apologised and said they couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. These two should definitely not work in customer service. I will not be using any of your coffee shops ever again. Also you have a lot of bad reviews so you should seriously take note.

It was incredibly loud on our visit, a lady crashing around with the washing up we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Staff not knowing what drinks going where.

Originally came because dogs were allowed in... proved to be the best visit! Regularly visit now with dogs, kids, family and friends and the service is always exceptional. Coffee selections great, coffee knowledge and advice is excellent too so is the cake variety. The deputy manager (the one with the accent) is so friendly, helpful and positive every time we visit it’s infectious!

Plenty of gorgeous looking cakes and other meals on offer. Prices were fair. Amazing Ethiopian coffee when I was there. Staff were great, a lot of local information for visitors. Worth calling in there.

The staff helped me with the new app and got it working for me. Unfortunately I couldn’t link the old card to transfer my stamps but they give me a free coffee voucher as compensation. Food and drinks excellent Highly recommended

This is in my opinion the best coffee shop in Worcester, the staff are lovely and even always remember your name.

We use various Coffee#1 venues when we are out and about, but rarely the one closest to us! As usual excellent house blend coffee and breakfast tea.

Stopped off for a quick bite great service and choice of snacks, nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

The staff here have improved. The service and products on sale are excellent. Frappes are excellent this time of year especially the espresso ones Highly recommended

We are always made to feel really welcome. Bella the Labrador gets the most attention but that’s the sort of place it is. The staff like to get to know their customers which brings a great feeling of belonging. On top of that there's a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, great food and superb coffee.

Really bad tempered staff member. This is not the first time I've been to a coffee#1 and felt unwelcome, it is sad because its a good brand and you do excellent coffee. But I will not be visiting voffee#1Worcester again any time soon.

Very good coffee and excellent friendly staff. Comfy arm chairs make this my number one choice in Worcester, but everything else is very good too. If more coffee shops had comfy arm chairs then they might do better business.

The cafe is always clean tidy and inviting. However the staff lack urgency and there is lack of motivation. The seating area is quite crammed so it’s difficult for people with wheelchairs and prams to move around safely. Perhaps they could have priority seating to enable easy access?

I always enjoy going to Coffee One and have tried lots of branches. I suspect I picked a bad day to try this one as they were down to one option of filter coffee and the tea cakes didn't seem as fresh as usual. Even so we enjoyed sitting there to people watch.

Ordered a ciabatta from the display cabinet only to be told they had been added to tomorrow's stock so I couldn't have one. I pointed out that they would be fresher today but the young girl said they were going in the fridge. The girl on the till just did as she was told. It was 4.45 - they don't close until 6.00pm. Incredible!!!

I usually hate coffee shops, I find them over priced, and over crowded with frustrated unfriendly staff who want to rush you, but my partner and I were in town with our dogs and needed somewhere to stop. We chose Coffee #1 for it’s great outdoor space.

Today I went to Worcester specifically for a hair cut at the excellent Chop Shop. But that's not the point of this review. With some time free I intended to sit and have a coffee in Costa but Coffee#1 is almost right opposite the hairdresser. It's welcoming appearance and it not being one of the typical high street brands I thought I'd give it a try. And I'm very glad I did.

Only recently discovered this place for coffee but already my loyalty card is full! So that’s a good sign. Really good decaf flat whites served by friendly staff.

Found this place by chance, when visiting the area, very impressed large selection of drinks available including coconut milk for the non dairy.

This is a good cafe, which produces great products, the coffee is excellent, the staff are friendly, pleasant and remember you. Service is very good, I thoroughly recommend it.

I use coffee 1 in stourbridge. I normally like independent coffee shops but these are an exception to my rule.cappucino with coconut milk so nice.i have other coffees also stronger ones. This visit lemon drizzle and a Welsh cake half half with hubby delicious .good staff friendly and good manners.

Visited the Worcester branch of this chain, the quality was excellent and the facilities spotless despite being busy. Hopefully there will be some up north in the near future

I popped in here in the run up to Christmas, and even though it was jam packed with Christmas shoppers (some very rude!!!), I was impressed to see that the staff remained happy and festive and couldn’t do enough to help, as usual. I was served by a very pleasant young lady called Gemma. The veggie burrito I had for lunch was divine. Had a very decent latte too. Couldn’t fault the experience.

grabbed a coffee here and had a lovely pit-stop. a lovely team of ladies who were all friendly, polite and helpful. they were positive and enthusiastic about their work and this showed in the quality of the coffee. Will be back here in the future for sure.

The staff at this coffee shop are extremely friendly and helpful. They brought water for our dog and made us, and him, feel welcome. The Mince pies were delicious and the coffee excellent.

I've visited three times over the last two weeks. I have a 6 months old baby and when I pop into town I usually stop somewhere for coffee and cake and a nappy change and feed for my little one.

The ambiance is nice, especially on a wet Sunday afternoon in November.

We'd wandered around Worcester "for hours", or so it seemed, & were glad to select a central café that wasn't too busy so that we could rest, have a snack & people watch in comfort. The staff did seem more interested in themselves rather than us, but were helpful answering our coffee questions. We enjoyed our food choices well enough, although the polenta cake needed a little ploughing through, as my wife had thought it might be lighter in texture. The orange flavour, however was delicious.

The cafe was clean tidy and inviting. We found a table. The girl behind the counter seemed disinterested in what I wanted and had to ask her twice. The girl unstacking the dishwasher was loud as she picked up the plates. Such a pity when the cafe’s in the chain are normally very good

Always have a wonderful experience at Coffee #1 Worcester. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's especially nice that dogs are now allowed, and they are given lots of fuss and a water bowl by the staff too. They have a wide selection of drinks & treats but the Portuguese tart is a must!! I like to visit every time I'm in Worcester and would recommend to anyone.

Charming little coffee shop with quirky décor. Love to pop in for a cuppa and a bite to eat here, as the staff are friendly, accommodating and always a good laugh. Would highly recommend the salted caramel & pecan pretzel - to die for! I've found it can sometimes be hard to find a decent cup of tea in some cafes but Coffee #1 are spot on with their leaf tea. The croissants are also delish! If you're passing by, do wander in as you won't regret it :-)

Found this little gem when I was in Worcester in business. After a long day of meetings the fabulous service and coffee made my day. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town!
