Accessible place. Staff helpful. Carried out drinks to outside seating. A variety of cakes ,frappes and coffees. Plus soft drinks.

I came in with my family yesterday for lunch and had a really disappointing experience. I’m vegan and there were no vegan options available, so I bought a drink and then went elsewhere to find food. I came back to have my drink and eat with the rest of my family (who had all bought food and drinks) and one of the staff came up to me and very rudely told me to eat outside because I couldn’t bring my own food in. I was too taken aback by how she spoke to me to say anything back at the time, but I would have pointed out that I did have a drink bought from Coffee #1 and there were four other family members all eating/drinking. Plus, if there had been a vegan option as advertised, I would have bought it anyway! I had to sit there to drink my drink, so what did it matter if I was also eating a sandwich? I understand that businesses have to protect their own interests, but I wasn’t taking up a seat without buying anything, and if she hadn’t been so demeaning I would have been happier to accommodate. As we were leaving, my dad went up to the employee and pointed this out, and she was very rude back to him and said there were in fact vegan options available… so we checked again, and there were none! I understand that sometimes places don’t cater for my diet, but the way this lady spoke to myself and my dad was incredibly rude and unprofessional, with no regard for the situation. We won’t be visiting here again, we’ll go to one of the other restaurants instead.

Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Very dog friendly but… The floor in the loo was filthy. Clearly they mop the middle bit but don’t pull out the bins etc when they mop and ignore the skirting sides. It now needs someone to get down and scrub it clean including the corners to bring it up to scratch otherwise it will deteriorate further

It was a boiling 🥵 hot day in September and loved 🥰 the air conditioning after doing adventure golf ⛳️ at Aztec. Staff were ok. Terrible phone signal and Wi-Fi on the whole of the valley site so load your Coffee#1 app before you go in.

I stopped for tea and cake . The staff looked so miserable. The place had a odd atmosphere. A bit like the had all fell out with each other . Hardly any choice of cakes , the cake I had tasted stale and made me feel sick . The tea was weak and not that hot. I asked if they had any sugar and was grunted at . Throw a sugar, no spoon given . Just a dirty fork for my state cake There was hardly anyone in the place , not surprisingly really . Place also looked dirty .

We have just visited the Coffee #1 at that the Valley in Evesham. I could not believe how many dogs were allowed in. There were as many dogs as humans. Customers had not only one dog but several had two or more. Walking from the counter you had to be careful not to trip over a dog or a dog lead. Then with the dogs barking we decided in future we have our coffee and lunch elsewhere. Food, hot drinks and dogs don’t mix!!

In the Easter 🐣 holidays in April we stopped by for coffee and cake. Nice friendly service. Some of the chairs 🪑 need replacing, being ripped.

I visit here frequently and cannot fault it. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with a smile. The food is always fresh and tasty.

Well, what a welcome.... not. The young girl on the till was trying her best to be jolly but the rest of the place, the staff, a massive cloud was over the whole lot. No smiles; virtually no eye contact. No acknowledgement of my request for hot milk rather than cold. The worse part was when the waitress brought out our toasties to our table but with no serviette. When I asked if she had any the response was, "they're inside, you have to get them yourself". Turning her back to us. Clearly,having customers is just too much trouble for them. Whatever happened to customer service? Shan't be rushing back there in a hurry.

Went in tog et my office team some coffees. Two staff members looked at me waiting at the till, continued to chat and look over and chat again and look over and continue chatting, I kept making eye contact so that they knew I was ready to order and it was getting to the point where I was being blatantly ignored. I was waiting for a fair amount of time before one staff member walked off and the other sauntered over. Looked at me with disgust when asking for oat milk in my coffee...Its an option on the menu?! I don't know what I did wrong to be looked at like that. I was pleasant and patient. The usual waitress, who is dog mad was not there and she is fantastic. Always polite efficient and always give my dog a biscuit :) I'm not expecting them to fall at my feet and cater for all my unrealistic wishes. I just wanted coffee :(

Staff were rude to my elderly mother who went in to ask what time they closed. Said they will be closing at 5:30 promptly and we’re rude bare in mind this was only 4:45. Also extremely rude and sharp and unfriendly when we went into order. Not good at all.

Just the rudest staff. I asked if they had any plant based spread and was just shot down in a curt, dismissive manner. Same thing when I asked if my coffee was decaff, the rudest reply. Both members of staff need some customer service training. This used to be a nice place to come for a drink but since lockdown it's gone downhill. How it's still a going concern is a mystery to me. I don't imagine that they have a lot of repeat custom.

Nice coffee but visit spoilt by the sheer number of dogs present in the cafe. At some tables there were multiple animals. I shan’t be returning

Really good little find in Evesham. Good selection of drinks, food and cakes. Treats for dogs, big open space so covid safe. Will defo call again. Also 1 hour free parking on main street so no reason not to stop.

Not very friendly ,feel they wish they were not there,more mature lady very unfreindly, tables not being cleared or always cleaned. Obviously short of staff but still no excuse for being soooo miserable

Visited twice during our stay in Evesham and pleased with the variety of drinks and cakes. Although it is a good idea to be dog friendly I do not like the idea of dogs being able to lick the lower tables.

Called in for a coffee and cake after shopping. A warm welcome to a clean and vibrant cafe which was also dog friendly. A good choice of gluten free cakes too.

Several people waiting to order, with 3 staff trying to cope behind counter. Seemed short staffed as tables were not cleared and drinks being served in cardboard cups due to nobody available to wash up. Staff apologetic for wait. Coffee fine but cake at £2.50...

We don't do reviews but have made an exception after visiting this shop on several occasions since lockdown has lifted only to find it is never open. We had always recommended this coffee shop to friends and family, however given the frustration of never finding...

Came to Coffee #1 last week when it reopened post lockdown. Was really impressed with how professional and polite the staff were, despite how busy it was and the fact they were having to deal with some fairly impolite customers! I was served by Ruth, who was really lovely. I had the lemon & ginger cheesecake which was delicious and my latte was made to perfection. Will be back soon...

It was a delight to be back at the valley after the lockdown closures. We were greeted with the warm presence of the team, to which Gemma made the visit extra special with her top notch customer service and a treat for my dog. The shop was also extremely clean with lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Visited on a warm sunny day. Supposed to open at 10.30am , although all the tables outside were full with waiting customers, didn’t open until 10.45am. !! Only two staff working? Why ? One way system but exit was via entrance where there was a queue. Why wasn’t the other door open. Having read other recent reviews I think a massive retraining is required and maybe a new manager.

Called at The Valley for comfort stop ( Toilets in the precinct were excellent - clean and well looked after)Tried this place to see how it compared to their Pershore branch, visited some time ago, which was dirty and unkempt.This place didn't let me down, being just as dirty: The young man clearing the tables didn't seem to have any interest at all. Even in "normal" times it would be nice to see the tables having the crumbs and stains wiped off, and perhaps the chairs tided.......not here though, the crockery was simply taken away and the tables left as they were. The tables were also very close together, with no ability to "distance".Have they heard about the Covid precautions ??

Asked for a takeaway coffee, got a drink-in coffee. All okay until I met the dispirited and stubborn member of staff. Instead of a correction and a fresh coffee to cover the understandable mistake, I was instead met with head shakes and argument. I was denied any alteration of the cost due to their error on the notification of their mistake. Utterly poor customer service and resolve. I have taken my complaint to the online customer support without any response after four days. An inept company without any decency to correct any of their errors or response to any of the customer comments or complaints. Perfectly responsible and apt coffee dispenser just around the corner (Costa), where they don't have staff with bad attitude or substandard customer relation policies. Utterly appalling coffee shop, furthermore, a shameful customer response policy.Fundamentally an appalling company.Still waiting for a response. However, I am starting to understand that a cowardly, head in the sand, approach is their best method of dealing with complaints. Such a shame to mar their other branches great work with this sham of a site's poor antics. Correction to the advised rating ... 0/5.

I visited on the 8th of December and with everything going in our day to day lives, I’m so pleased with the warmth I received from this team. The place got super busy and the team kept going. I could hear laughter between the team and customers my entire visit. If you are looking for a nice visit and good company, please please go and visit. If you are looking for a quick place to rush and just get a coffee, I suggest maybe somewhere else? Life is difficult, 2020 is a test and this team do not deserve to be treated badly. I can’t express my love for the visit I had today. Remember, people are people, they are human and everyone would just like the question, “How are you doing?” Thank you to the 3 girls working today. You truly have lifted my spirit.

We visited here for lunch last week and felt unhappy with safety. The tables were not cleared customers were moving things off the tables them selves . This therefore meant no sanatizing so not good. When I ordered lunch was told it was policy not to use trays unbelievable. As a senior I was not happy carrying hot tea pots and crockery . The staff were doing their best with the few staff they had .

Visited today with my husband. We have been here several times before and have had no complaints but today we ordered two bacon rolls and two Americanos. The bacon in the roll was one measly gristly slice that didn’t even cover the roll which in itself wasn’t very enjoyable and I left a lot of mine. As we were hungry after a fairly long journey I then ordered a chocolate caramel shortbread and a Portuguese tart.It was impossible to put a knife in the shortbread square as it was so hard. I picked it up and it was icy cold and must have been in a freezer. The Portuguese tart was spoilt by the addition of jam! Why? Why spoil something good. Altogether spent over £16 for a very unsatisfactory visit. I have recently visited Coffee#1 in Ledbury and Worcester both up to the usual standard but this visit was a real letdown.coffee was good though.

Hand sanitiser at the door was the only sign of trying to keep customers safe.More than half the tables were awaiting clearance on a very quiet, wet afternoon. Barristas were not wearing masks and just laughing and chatting rather than making any effort to clear. When mugs and plates were finally collected no attempt was made to even wipe the tables let alone undertake any sanitisation.

My wife and I visit 5 or 6 times per week for coffee. Although often really busy we always find that the staff are very welcoming, friendly, pleasant and cheerful. They all work really hard too! The great new manageress always finds the time for a friendly word and our dog would happily go home with the lovely Polish lady. Thank you all!!!

Had a quick coffee here and was looking for sandwiches to take away. Not impressed by the offering so just bought a coffee, which was OK

Popped to The Valley. Decided to have coffee. Very gloomy at the till area could hardly see into my handbag. Lightbulb gone. Coffee with coconut milk was delicious. Girl who made it was lovely. Went to use the shared men/woman toilet. Floor filthy, behind door even filthier, whole loo seat was wet, I pray not with urine. . No loo roll holder two screws in wall so it was there now not. Loo roll dumped on toilet lid. Sink dirty. A quick squirt of bleach spray every where & a good mop + perhaps a brush around the door stop which is brown with wet dust could solve it all and make it smell clean. With corona virus rife everywhere needs to be spotless or you’ll not have customers.

We were on our way elsewhere and called on for Boardman Cycles on the site. We wanted coffee so called in at Coffee#1. Upon arrival I went for Hot Chocolate and my travel partner went for white chocolate deluxe and both drinks were plentiful, satisfying and really enjoyable. Service was not great as a few servers knew as much english as I do martian. Stock answer appears to be yes and no one corrects them. A few customers complained they had the wrong order and the response was yes and no smile. We also had 2 tea cakes that were massive though first delivered, more thrown on the table than placed, to the table next to us. Very enjoyable when we eventually got them. So food and drinks are great in terms of quality and quantity, customer service not so good, more Englishh speakers you can communicate with would be a great option, after all this is a service industry.

I visited this store yesterday with my husband just for a coffee but left very disappointed. The cappuccino and latte we ordered was only half full! I had to go back to the counter to get this topped up and I have to say that the customer service was not very good. No apology or smile! We sat and had our drink and just before we were about to leave the waitress came to collect our tray with an attitude stating that she had been waiting to put the dishwasher on! We were left feeling very unwelcome that we were keeping them from closing we were not the last ones in there either! We will not be visiting again. Think we will stick with Costa in the future as the customer service is brilliant!

We were fugitives from the Apple Barn Restaurant where we waited ages to be served only to find they had no drinking chocolate and had also run out of baked potatoes. I like the Coffee 1 chain and we should have gone here first. I had steamed apple juice with cinnamon which was lovely on a cold wet day. There were lots of things that I liked on show which was not the case at the other establishment. Mention has been made of slow service. Thinking about it perhaps it was on the slow side but it was a cold day and The Valley was busy with Christmas shoppers and I did not mind waiting because when I was served I liked what I had been given.I shall return

We always visit here when at the Vale. Great creamy tasty coffee, including decaf. Enormous tea cakes are wonderful. Very pleasant staff. By far the best place to go at the Vale.

After disappointment at another vale cafe, we popped in to coffee #1. Lots of snacks and drinks to offer. Plenty of choice for vegans. The biryani vegetable wrap was delicious. However, I lost concentration and ended up asking for it toasted. Never before have I had cooked cucumber! Still delicious though. Lovely large cups of hot soup are on offer too. The winter greens and onion was great. Not chunky, but not smooth. My partners chicken and pesto panini I believe was tasty. All washed down with piping hot coffees. Definitely the premiere place to go for food at the Valley!

I visited today on my drive through Evesham, the staff and service was excellent. A lovely Coffee and breakfast burrito made by Kay, who was brilliant from start to finish. Would highly recommend visiting Coffee #1 and taking a look at the surrounding shops.Matt, Bristol.

Yes, a busy Bank Holiday - but the Staff were just sinking!

Upon observing the slow service (one order completed every 4-5 mins), i asked if our drinks could be delivered to the table with our teacake. Fairly understandably, this wasn't possible so i waited at the pass for our drinks....incidentally, this took 15 minutes. By which time the teacake had been delivered and gone cold.

Popped in for a quick breakfast on a Friday morning at about 9.30am. Great choice of vegan options, including hot meals, pastries and cakes, and a choice of non-dairy milks for coffees, hot chocolates etc. Will visit again

We visited on a Sunday morning. Not particularly busy yet 8 staff behind the counter and still took an age to get our drinks. Nothing special just 2 caramel macchiatos. One girl was doing her hair behind the counter, not something I wish to see in a food and beverage establishment. The manager clearly has no control or order over her staff. She seemed more concerned about being pally with them as apposed to taking charge and organising her team. Absolutely appalling customer service. No eye contact please or thank you. Manners cost absolutely nothing. We will definitely think twice before going there again. We will stick to the one in the town.

The coffee and cake here is good but the service is rubbish - painfully slow no matter when you go - be prepared to wait 10 minutes before you get served. So frustrating!

My family and I visit every Sunday for coffee and cake. Although often very busy we always find a seat. The staff work really hard every time to make sure we have a nice treat, everyone is pleasant and cheerful, despite working hard. Great manageress in charge! I was always a Costa fan until I visited Coffee1 at Evesham and Tewkesbury, the coffee flavour is much superior in Coffee 1. I liked the decor so much I copied it in my own house!!

Having signed up to Veganuary we were dreading the endless search for a decent coffee and light snack- Coffee#1 pulled it out the bag, vegan and vegetarian choice probably best I’ve seen in a coffee shop for a long time (been veggie 26yrs) Staff were lovely and friendly, prompt service and a good atmosphere. Although busy (Saturday afternoon) managed to easily find a table and it didn’t feel crowded plenty of space between seats to hold conversation. Clean & tidy and will happily be returning in the future!!

First visit [decor a little dark] but the coffee was good and average priced plus a loyalty card available.

Very busy but very friendly and apologies for delay. Also the only one I have been to that serves Espresso coffee with a glass of water, which is how it should be served!

I just door stopped the new Coffee#1 A’s they were closing at the new Valley shopping complex. Despite only 2 mins left until their end of shift, with the counter basically cleaned - I got a cheery smile and a lovely cup of coffee for my drive home! Thanks

Ok this coffee shop has been open a while now so I was interested to see if it had kept all the promises it made when it first opened. Well the answer is a very big YES.

I love this coffee shop but please get more staff. It is always busy here no matter what time of day you visit. The staff you have do an amazing job but they just have a constant queue of customers and don,t have the time to clear tables.

We visited mid afternoon on a Saturday and upon walking in it was clear that many tables had not been cleared of used cups, etc. Queued for quite a while despite there being 5 staff behind the counter. The hot drinks I had ordered were made but then I had to ask for the cold drink that was ordered at the same time which then took several more minutes. This meant the 2 hot drinks weren't hot by the time we drank them! A staff member carried out a tray of food for some people and then returned to the kitchen area without even thinking about removing any of the dirty crocks on trays which amounted to 17 on the few tables nearest to us!!

Great to find a dog friendly area provided in this cafe. Very good decor to go with the fine coffee available. Comfortable friendly surroundings to enjoy with your cake, or sandwich type snack. Will certainly return on next visit to the Valley.

When we first went into this coffee house we were treated to a wonderful atmosphere, superb staff and beautiful coffee. We go in several times a week and are always treated to a warm welcome by the excellent staff, and they know us as well as we know them, I cannot see us never going back there.

My wife and I visited The Valley last Saturday morning. While she spent some time in the needlecraft shop I went in search of coffee. I was delighted to discover that a Coffee#1 had opened up since we were last there — I was familiar with their Pershore branch.

Hi stopped of here yesterday for a tea break on our way south around 12 pm sunday the 14 th. We only had a couple of teas but what was so good was the pleasant warm and friendly manner the 2 young men showed to us . Smiles and engaging , that was worth the visit . Just wanted to say 5 star s the staff and service , food cant say . Thats for others and we dont drink coffee so The tea was fine and that was red bush and breakfast tea. Thank you staff, well done .

Called in to coffee one at the valley on the weekend, despite being very very busy all the team members were very friendly, polite and also very efficient!! Best cappuccino I have had in a very long time and would highly recommend the cookies and cream slice!

We visited on a Sunday lunch time and I fully appreciate that it was busy. However it was made busier by the lack of organisation of the people working there. There was only one person serving whilst there were 4 others (that I could see) running around in a disorganised manner. The range of food was extremely limited and did not cater very well for my 2 and 4 year old. It was also very expensive for what we had.

Coffee was fine however the cake and juice were rather average. The juice was not made from fresh ingredients

The shop was very busy due to the warm weather, despite this the staff were very friendly and helpful. i was served by a lady with ginger hair who was very cheerful and friendly. Very nice cafe, will be back on my next visit to the valley.

Lovely pot of tea today at Coffee#1 and very refreshing to have such a pleasant server. Laura was smiley, polite and helpful. The lemon drizzle cake was delicious too and it made my day.

Myself and friend went in for two breakfast teas which states it's strong and a smooth blend.The Tea was so weak and asked for it to be changed it came back stronger as she put the right amount of tea in the pot.I was shocked to see the cashier go over to her friends table while she was on duty and roll up a cigarette in public view I've just finished treatment for my throat cancer and this I don't want to see while relaxing with my friend.Cigarettes should be rolled out of view from customer's in future!

I can’t fault the staff at coffee # 1 at the vale. They can’t help you enough with what ever you need. I had my sons 3rd birthday party and they were just amazing and so helpful. The staff all came to sing to him and he was so happy.

Stopped for a quick coffee and cake with a friend recently. The restaurant seemed dark and oppressive, but the staff were polite and friendly. Coffee and cakes were very nice.

Visited today and about 5 tables were occupied. EVERY other table had dirty crockery, some even had trays of crockery on the tables AND chairs where customers had had to clear a table before they could sit down. It wasn't busy but the staff seemed oblivious to the state of the tables and the girl who brought our food even watched me move the dirty crocks from our table to another without doing anything. Extremely unpleasant environment to enjoy a coffee. There also didn't appear to be any staff members older than teens which probably accounted for the lack of attention.

They have loads of people working but everytime I've been there's always people queuing ...when you've got to stand for 15 mins in a queue ....nice place but can't be bothered with the waiting

No 1 rarely fails to impress. This outlet at the Evesham Garden Centre is one of the best.

Never written a review before but felt compelled to, due to the fabulous service and experience I receive every time I visit.

I have become really fed up with the poor customer service offered in coffee shops by the usual young people employed, so I was delighted by the pleasant welcome from Christina. Then a lady provided excellent informstion about the seasonal nean offer, and actually came across to chat when we were sat drinking our coffee. Introduced herself as Kay, the recently appointed manager.

Popped in for a quick coffee and snack. Ryan was so freindly and helpful. All the staff were very good nothing was to much trouble.

Very convenient place to meet with free parking in the Evesham area. Yet another branch of Coffee1 opens, they seem to have everything just right. Lot of space in this one so no blocking by all those young mums with push chairs. The big bonus is you can park for free only 50yards from the coffee hoiuse.

I was too lazy and cold to walk the extra few metres to Costa so decided to go into Coffee #1. I was somewhat reluctant as I’d had extremely poor service at the Pershore branch of the chain. However, it was the right move. Service was excellent and the coffee was tasty and not over-ground and the panini I chose for lunch was delicious.

Stopped here on the way to Stratford-upon-Avon, wished we’d kept going! Asked for 1 hot chocolate, 1 tea & 2 toasted tea cakes, no receipt given, got 1 got chocolate & 2 pots of tea. The person who served couldn’t understand what was asked for, not worth waiting in the queue again to try & sort it out.

poor customer service , drinks were fine and as ordered but oh my !! what a dirty place, not busy but so many tables not cleared from previous customers ,very disappointing ,we were in there for just under 30 minutes and not one member of staff cleared the tables near us

We always visit the Apple Barn but decided to try out the new Coffee #1. Fairly quiet for a lunchtime in November, a warm welcome from the young lad. Chose a coffee (which was good) and a bacon bap which was really good. Not keen on the unisex toilets though.
