I had the lasagna, huge portion but clearly reheated in the microwave and not really that well. He had fish and chips they were perfect. Side of onion rings were fabulous. Side of cheesy garlic bread was a joke as was the garlic bread served with the lasagna, real supermarket basic range. If that’s what you serve up, just leave it off the plate. Salad was fresh. Really grubby inside, toilets are not nice at all. I get the impression that they don’t really care, it’s all just passing tourist trade. We have both been sick with upset stomach and vomiting since our visit here. Luke warm food and grubby conditions probably haven’t helped, but can’t prove it.

The building looked amazing and walking inside it was certainly unique and had plenty of character. Wooden settles, stone floor, an interesting array of bottles hanging from the ceiling and lots to look at...however as we approached the bar it seemed we were the main attraction and not entirely welcome from the surly looks from certain customers. An attempt at a "Hiya" seemed to bring mutterings from the unsociable bunch. The lady behind the bar was pleasant. The tables were sticky and one of the pints not great others were manageable although not a comfortable atmosphere for a relaxing drink and certainly wouldn't want to spend longer there to eat. Toilets unpleasant to use due to cleanliness and maintenance.

We came to the Cobweb inn on our way back to carpark. On passing the place looked brilliant. We came in to find it looked just as good inside as outside. There wasn’t many people in when we arrived and we found a table very quick. We knew what we wanted straight away and went to the bar to order. I asked the lady if I ordered from there and she said yes and asked me my table number. I told her table 8 and she went into the next room and I didn’t see her again for about 5 minutes. Which is a long time when you’re waiting. Another girl worker popped in and popped back out. A man then came though and saw me and asked if I was waiting to be served. I said yes. He then took my order. I don’t know what happened to the First Lady who asked me the table number. I asked for a bottle of coke and appetiser. Both bottles were grabbed off the side and weren’t in a fridge and handed to me. We waited for our food and as we were waiting it was getting busy. We were waiting quite a while for our burgers. When they came out they looked so good. However the taste wasn’t good. I put a little bit of sale on my chips and I could hardly eat them. They must have added salt to them before bringing them out. The chips were also going a bit hard/stale and tasted old. The burger wasn’t great too. It had some seasoning in it, maybe pepper. It was making my mouth and my daughter’s mouth feel funny. We both hardly touched our food and our bill for the two burgers and two drinks was around £36!

Great spot for lunch. On nice day, tables outside but undercover tables outside too for dodgy weather. Staff really friendly & food awesome. Great fresh choices, very large portions so just be careful when ordering. Inside is very traditional oldy worldy type Cornish pub. Great pint, realistic prices & although down in Boscastle, they don't take the mickey on pricing. Dog friendly. Great walk over from Trewetthett Farm caravan & motorhome site Tintagel which sits between Boscastle & Tintagel on the cliffs overlooking the sea. Also a bus service for the less nimble as the walk over is quite steep in places, uneven & can be quite muddy in bad weather.

Always a regular visitor to The Cobweb when I’m in the area & it never disappoints. I was going to grab a coffee & sandwich at a cafe not far away & then visit The Cobweb but discovering that the cafe refuses to take cash I thought I’d eat at the pub as well as have a few pints, so glad I did. Battered cod goujon sandwich, a side salad & basket of chips for £8.95, excellent value & delicious, a meal in its own right & washed down with a couple of ciders. Quick & friendly service in this fabulous proper Cornish pub, left full & happy & not feeling like I’d been robbed either!

First time visiting Boscastle, we parked up around 4:30 and found The Cobweb inn to be the most reasonable on prices and most dog friendly. We booked a table for an evening meal before heading off to our campsite at the top of the hill. Beef and ale pie was full of meat and my boyfriend really enjoyed it! I had the veggie goats cheese and red onion pizza, it was HUGE and super tasty! Drink prices we found to also be very fair price. If we return to Boscastle we will definitely return :)

It was our first night in Boscastle and so booked a table at the Cobweb Inn. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. However, our meals were disappointing. My friend had sausage and mash and I had fish pie. My fish pie was OK and hot but the broccoli was tough and cold and the potatoes were cold. My friend thought the mash with her meal was Smash, I am not sure you can get that now! The sausage was like a frankfurter and the whole of her meal was cold.

We visited for drinks and evening meal. The meal was fantastic. Ordered our food at the bar which was delivered to our table in just the time you would expect. I had fish and chips and I can honestly say it was the best I've had - the fish wasn't overly battered which is a mistake some places make and it was so light. My two companions both had steak and ale pie to which they gave ten out of ten. It was very busy lot of people eating and just drinking and lent itself to a good friendly, local atmosphere. Well done Cobweb !

Really enjoyed our visit. Food was nice and reasonably priced compared to a lot of other local restaurants. Interior is fun and witchy! Only negative was that 2 out of the 8 Meals came 20 minutes later, meaning that our food was going cold (so we had to start eating it), and then the other 2 were left without food for ages, and then ate alone whilst we waited.

Overpriced & extremely poor quality and extremely long wait. Will not visit again and would recommend you avoid this pub like the plague. Very disappointed.

I wrote an email about the abusive staff but received no response. Clearly the owners don't care that their pregnant barmaid is swearing and shouting at people on video. I have the recording but to save her embarrassment I won't post it unless I don't...

Ate at Cobwebs this week - another lovely meal, staff not as friendly as in previous visits - Had to stand at the bar while being ignored by 2 staff members having a chat but once they acknowledged our presence it was fine. Food was...

Went there today for Sunday carvery and was not disappointed. Although they were short staffed they pulled out all the stops to try and get the food out as near to the time as possible. We only had to wait half an hour over our...

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

Dropped in last night to be greeted by a super friendly bar man. The pizza’s are incredible and their delicious Sunday roasts are now back in the menu. With an unbeatable location and stellar service it’s our favourite spot.....

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
