Coaching Inn in Shepway

I went to this restaurant yesterday with my brothers, and honestly, we were very disappointed. The noodles and rice were overcooked, mushy, and just not enjoyable. The portions were small, and the overall quality was poor—definitely not worth the money. We were charged nearly £89, and then they added an extra £11 service charge. For what? The food wasn’t good, and the service was just average. It really makes you wonder why they’re asking for a service charge at all when the overall experience doesn’t justify it. Prices keep going up, but the portions are getting smaller and the quality is dropping. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend.

We stayed one night in Folkestone on the way from Cornwall to Dover and were looking for a good restaurant for the last evening of our family holiday. We were thrilled at the Gurkha Palace, had delicious food and received excellent service. What was particularly nice was the child-friendliness and the great price-performance ratio. Overall, one of the best restaurants on our trip to England! Thank you and best regards from Germany

I am not one for writing reviews, however I just felt that I had to for this fabulous restaurant. The waiting staff (Ben and Lily) were so lovely and so engaging. The food was the best Indian food I have ever tasted. It looked so simple but, wow what a great depth of flavour and taste. We will be making this our come to Indian restaurant even though it is about 20 miles away. Thanks for a great atmosphere and pleasurable evening.

We travel from Ashford to this Chinese. Food is amazing, hot and tasty.. and reasonable price…
