Awful, rude Eastern European woman in the car park who came sprinting over and demanded £2 the moment we stopped then shouted abuse as we decided to leave. Avoid!

Absolute rip off run by a foreign lady who really is very unpleasant demanding £2.00 first hour then anything over £10.00 to park. If you visit the cafe its cash only unless you spend over £10.00 and the tea / coffee probably the worst we have ever had. Avoid unless absolutely desperate.. The Toilets are a disgrace & don’t think ever get cleaned & some not even working. Don’t think the Local Health Officer has properly ever visited them terrible. 😳😳 Don’t park on road as out of no where a traffic warden puts a parking ticket on your screen £40.00 🤔😳…

Visited cafe after a lovely walk on the beach with our 4 dogs. Lovely little place with a good menu. Had an English breakfast and coffee. All food ok. Cooked well. Cafe is ok if a dry day, not a lot of room to sit inside but this place was welcomed after a long walk.

Very rude aggressive cafe owner. Opening times stated on this are incorrect. Not open until 9.30 am. Owner shouted that she had no staff no food and wasn’t open- whilst dragging on a cigarette by her cafe’s open door… nice. Last year she claimed she was collecting ‘ car parking fees’ whilst she stuck pages from her cafe’s order pad behind car drivers windscreen wipers… absolute scam! Witnessed her bullying staff and yelling at them. Food mediocre. Waited 40 minutes the other day for a coffee. Don’t bother visiting- very unpleasant expensive experience. Some people don’t deserve businesses.

A nice little café ideally placed just by the sea shore, providing reasonable snacks and drinks. Not Cordon Bleu, but very acceptable in view of the limited facilities available. The young girls serving are always polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the whole experience of eating and drinking there is spoilt by the dreadful and expensive car parking arrangements introduced earlier this year, and which will, I am sure, deter many visitors from going to Climping Beach. [See my separate review of the Car Park at Climping for the details!]

Visited today with the family after a nice walk with the dog along the beach, what can I say really, it was pretty decent, better than I expected to be honest, the young girl who served us seemed rather bored but she is only young maybe 16, so she probably was bored haha, but she was nice enough and she was polite and helpful when I spoke with her. The food came out better than expected, and portions were large, I got a BLT which came out with doorstop bread and thick bacon, and decent amount of tomato, it came with a side salad aswell which had paprika? sprinkled on it, bit weird but it wasnt bad. I wasnt a fan of the tea bags though, but that's nothing on the cafe, more a personal choice of mine. I ain't from the area, but would happily stop by if I was to visit the area again. I cant knock it on anything, decent prices, food and service.

Myself and my fiancé took a stroll down to Climping beach and visited the beach cafe for what we intended to be just a light snack to keep us going for the day. We waited about 10 minutes for a prawn mayo sandwich and a tuna melt sandwich and on opening the package we found the king of all sandwiches. The name 'sandwich' does not seem enough to describe these soft and deeply filled delights. If I had been told that the bread was homemade and our tuna and prawn had been hand fished from the sea that day I would have believed them. Unfortunately we dug in before getting a picture. Absolutely lovely, wish we had been able to visit again to sample the breakfasts and the fish and chips. I hope to do so soon in the future.

Wanted to purchase icecreams today and when at front of queue we noticed that governemnt Covid-19 guidelines not followed in ice cream hut between the toilets. 8 people from at least 2 families in a 2x1m semi-indoor area, no staff face masks handling food. My wife and daughter went to speak to a member of staff about this but just received smirks and a non committal ok. A man claiming to be the owner walked over to the serving counter to attempt to correct the situation as we pointed out. However when he asked the customers to seperate he added for them to do it so "this idiot" does not report them referring to me much to the amusement of the queuing customersWe left without ice-creams and with my wife in tears. Be prepared to be totally humiliated should you provide feedback to this business.

Usually this is a lovely little cafe. However when we visited today it was not at all good. My hot chocolate was tepid and my toasted cheese sandwich was actually 2 pieces of toast with piles of grated cheese still raw inside. A toasted cheese sandwich requires the filling to be toasted not JUST the bread. The staff were not the usual people so maybe it has changed hands. At 2pm it began to close and staff were heard saying ices and drinks only. People kept arriving and were turned away. The car parking system is now via the cafe and most drivers were not paying so that needs addressing

sad to see customer services hasn't improved, the rudest most unhelpful staff in any café. After a walk across the fields, following clearly marked footpaths back to the beach we ended up back at the car park.Plenty of space with families enjoying the food, the sunshine and the company. The queue for the food went down quickly as people ate at the numerous picnic tables around or took their take-away food back to the beach or in their cars. We couldn't believe our eyes when our sandwiches arrived.Absolutely scrummy, bacon/bree/cranberry and bacon/avocado/chicken. delicious and incredibly filling. Surrounded by others tucking into scampi and chips, burgers, salads and jacket potatoes all looked tempting enough for another visit

This is a pretty remote beach liked by dog walkers and campers. The car park I think is expensive considering it’s position whilst other beaches like Seaford and Sompting are free. The converted container houses the kitchen and there are plenty of places to sit outside. Breakfast is a generous portion of an egg bacon sausage mushroom and beans. The beans are too big a portion in my opinion but the quality is reasonably good. Yes I prefer a premium sausage and dry cured bacon but I am a foodie.

We have been down to Climping three times in the last 2 or 3 weeks - glorious weather each time and we have arrived 3.30/3.45 for a swim and something from the cafe. Once the cafe was still open - just - but shutting at 4 despite the presence of customers. On the other two occasions - including yesterday when there were lots of people down there - it was shut. Why don't the owners sell it to someone else if they can't be bothered to keep it open even in high season, in lovely weather??

Climping beach is a great outing for kids and for walking the dog but it would be a bit bleak in winter and inconvenient in Summer were it not for the great little cafe. They know how to make a cup f tea like a good cafe should and have decent coffee too. The food ranges from paninis to almost anything with chips and a large range of ice creams. They even have an ice cream for dogs (it's frozen yogurt really). I got tempted by the coffee and walnut cake. There is plenty of "bench table" seating on the grass outside or, if it's not a nice day, you can park really close and eat in the car. The toilets are reserved for customers and so are kept in decent nick. All in all a very traditional English seside joy !

Where to begin, Sharon and Richard are extraordinary people, out of pure kindness they allowed us to fulfil a beautiful women's dreams of being the biggest most stunning fireworks. Not only did they allow us to use the car park for the fireworks, they also took time out of their personal time to come and re-open the toilet facilities and cafe, so all people involved could warm their hands on hot drinks, and be surrounded by such priceless generosity and friendliness during such an important time. There are not enough 'thankyou's' that can be sent to these wonderful people for allowing us to create such a lovely memory in a place that our Angel and family love. The beach itself is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Although there are not many entertainment sources on the beach, it makes for an excellent day out with family and friends, or even such important days like we had yesterday. It was truly remarkable.Would highly recommend to all

What a beautiful place! I can't thank you guys enough for staying open late, feeding my brood as well as all of us that we're there yesterday. You went above and beyond and I really appreciate it. Fun, friendly owners and great food too.

Richard and his lovely wife opened the cafe and car park after hours so we could be with a friend whilst he gave a firework display sending up his wifes ashes. Cant thank them enough for going out of their way to let this happen, they were a great couple that managed to cater for our entire group whilst we were there and without them we couldnt of had such a great send off

The owners of this cafe made it possible for us to have a wonderful evening in tribute to our lost loved one who adored this place. It will definitely be a new day out venue for us too now. Great chips and a proper cuppa!

This is a hut style cafe set in the grassy car park at Climping. There is no indoor seating but bench seats outside. You can park your car right by the cafe if weather was inclement. Parking is £1 an hour or £7 for over 5 hours. Some free limited parking outside of car park but only from Oct to March.Beach is dog friendly which is right by car park and sandy when the tide is out. There are the usual cafe choices available. We had two hot chocolates which were nice and hot as requested.Quite a few breakfast options and burgers including a vege one.The chips were very nice, crisp and hot. The prices were very reasonable we thought. There are toilets to use outside for cafe and car park users ,but are only open when cafe is.The disabled toilet despite it's ramp seemed very badly positioned to me and access across gravel would be awkward with a stiff door opening outwards.Cafe opening times will vary in the winter but are likely to open on the weekend or on other days if weather is good.Would use the cafe again for sure.

Something of an oasis for those walking from Littlehampton along the beach or footpath or driving there as most seem to. Have only been here for tea and coffee when taking the walk and makes a pleasant stop. I just wish they would leave the tea bag in and let you decide how much milk you want.

Super friendly and efficient staff - very busy at 11.15am but orders came out quickly and more importantly, correct!

My espresso was excellent, good balanced flavour with hints of chocolate on the after taste. Service was a bit slow but it was lunchtime on a Saturday.

Incredibly poor customer service, owner was rude and made us feel very unwelcome in the shop. While waiting she was slagging off the previous customer to the other employee. I used to love the bagels here but I will not be returning now.

Katie and I came here with a small family group for a spot of lunch in the sun. Great welcome, friendly staff and good food. Beer a bit expensive but there's a wide variety on offer. Overall a great afternoon and we'll return for sure.

Fabulous Location, Great Service, Amazing Wine List, AWFUL food choices for Vegans and Veggies. I live locally to the Landing Place and have been a number of times hoping the vegan / veggie food choices would have improved. Alas no.... The choices are without imigination and you can tell the ingredients are just put together on the plate rather than created on site. Very disappointing. I went Christmas Eve with my Husband last year and they had run out of options and all they could offer me was Falafels.. Really, Falafels.. I could have just gone to Sainsburys to buy those!!! Everything else is fabulous. So I would suggest to all Vegans and Veggies, eat before you go and just have a nice glass of something.
