Clary's Bar & Grill in Milton Keynes

I was invited to this restaurant by some friends for Sunday lunch. I've been there for Sunday lunch at least twice before. I'm a plant based eater and on the previous occasions I've been to Clary's for Sunday lunch they've been happy to make me a vegan pasta dish. I don't even mind if I have to pay more. This time, they flatly refused. I asked if I could just order off the normal menu and was told I couldn't. Luckily, I'm not an ethical vegan. I avoid animal products for health reasons. I've been eating a 100% plant based diet for nearly 5 years. This is only the second time that a restaurant has been unwilling to provide me with anything I can eat. Why on earth are they so unfriendly to plant based eaters?

The Sunday roast was recommended to me so we came here before we went into the casino. The food was excellent, all fresh and home cooked, the Yorkshire puddings are huge and all for £8. I have paid double that in a pub/ restaurant before and it wasn't as nice. A total bargain. ...! We were served by a lovely lady called Renae, she was polite, attentive and an asset to the restaurant. Will definitely go back and recommend this place to others.

Came for Sunday lunch before a spot of gambling. Knew what we wanted, food wise, so ordered immediately after being seated at our table. Were told that our food would be with us within 5 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting were informed that “Our order didn’t go through” but was now being dealt with as a priority. After another 20 minutes, the food finally arrived. Must remember next time to ask what exactly “priority” means time wise. Having finished the food, or rather the bits of it that were edible, we then waited another 1 minutes for someone to go and clear the plates. When that didn’t happen we had to go look for someone to pay our bill, only for the till they used to not have any coins for the change.

Booked a table here, arrived an hour early to have a drink but as we didn't have photo ID we were turned away. We didn't want to go in the casino, only eat. The doorman was really rude and there was no one in the restaurant at all at 7:30 on a Saturday night. We went elsewhere instead but its worth noting you won't be allowed in without ID no matter how old you are. It says outside that ID is asked for people who don't look 25 - I'm 49! Can't speak for the food as didn't get that far. This was a 50th birthday celebration so it was pretty embarrassing, but you learn... won't come here again - ridiculous rule that the doorman obviously took very seriously!

last night my wife and i had a delicious meal in this restaurant. our starters were sublime and the main course superb. we had king prawn and chorizo + scallops as our starters which , although the scallops were on the small side, leaving the roe attached, which i think is best, was all extremely tasty. For our main we had sea bass + seafood tagliatelle and i have to say both were cooked to perfection and great flavours.just enough spice in my tagliatelle and my wife sea bass was crispy skin and soft meat. Now i come to the service, Nicole can come and work for me anytime, i mixture of professionalism and laughter made our meal brilliant. She has a slightly naughty sense of humour which i adore, she never overstepped any line and she was without doubt a credit to the bar and grill. Later she was serving drinks in the casino and was a delight to have a conversation with. we were visiting from Kent and although i doubt we will be staying in the same B&B we will certainly come up again for a night out. Please pass on my congratulations to both nicole and the chef as they both did you proud

We turned up a bit early to do the snow skiing, so we came into the bar for a drink or 2 and it was very nice. The barman was very friendly.

Excellent service and well cooked tasty food! We both had medium rare Fillet Steak and chunky chips. Restaurant and bar area comfortable and well appointed but must agree with previous reviewer, smart restaurant let down by adjacent Casino with a very young and very casually dressed clientele.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. The staff are wonderful however, it’s a shame that it’s attached to a tacky casino. The restaurant looks quite classy but the casino spoils it. It’s strange having to show ID to go to the restaurant but that’s because of the casino. You have nicely dressed people attending the restaurant with others that look they’ve just come off the street .

MK has a lot of places to eat most of them part of a big chain so we thought we’d try Clary’s for somewhere a bit different. Menu choice is inviting but food a bit disappointing when it arrived ... nothing wrong with it just could have been better especially given the cost. Service was good and restaurant was really nice

Lovely gluten free Sunday Roast. 3 meats gf gravey..veg..roast potatoes even a gf yorkshire! Excellent service and great value at only £7 for main and £3 for starters and puds.

This was our second visit to Clary's and once again we were extremely impressed, everything was first class. The food was hot and tasty - great sized portions. I had the ribs and chicken combo which included potato wedges, one thing I dislike is soggy wedges/chips so asked for them to be crisped up, and wow when they arrived they were delicious. My husband had stuffed chicken which he said was great. For dessert I ordered the pavlova which included raspberries and strawberries - truly delicious and such a hugh portion. We both left feeling really happy and full. Staff were friendly and efficient.

We had our christmas party here, the food was excellent. Sade and the bar staff could'nt have done any more for us, we had an absolutely fantastic night.

My daughter won a dining experience here and I have to say what a delightful experience it was. The food was tasty and plentiful, the staff very attentive without being obtrusive gave great service and the grill has a good vibe about it. One of our daughters is gluten free and everything was verified prior to her ordering. The grill is in The casino which has plenty of parking and a good choice of games if you want to have a flutter. An all round enjoyable experience and will definitely visit again.

I visited Clarys Bar and Grill and had the Duck the missus had the pork dish and was a very tasty plate of food, The price was also excellent for a Wednesday Night, Staff were as friendly as ever and if I was going to be critical at all was we did have to wait at least 25 mins and it wasn't busy so for this I marked 4 out of 5

Ate here for our first time in the casino. If you join then you get 25 % discount which makes it great value. But I wasn’t expecting such great food. I had the lamb chops and they were fab. Highly recommend this restaurant

This is a new menu with a much improved food quality, The food was so good that We returned 2 night later to sample some more great food, Try the duck to die for. Huge prawns in garlic butter sauce. The pate was smooth and flavoursome. On Mondays they do steak and fries for £5:00yes 5:00 you will need to book as it gets very busy. Service was first class my server was Iona.

Started the evening at Carlys Bar and Grill. Excellent food with excellent staff. Friendly and knowledable staff. Good menu too. Ended the evening on the Black Jack table. The casino MK is an great venue for a social gathering if you want a flutter.

This is part of the Aspers casino so you can enjoy a flutter before or after your meal. The food is of good quality and quantity with a wide range of choices. The bar prices are bit more expensive then other local restaurants. The staff are friendly and efficient. If you join the casino which is free you do get reasonable discounts at both bars and restaurant also a free go at their big wheel where you shouldn't lose and claim a prize ranging from a beer vouchour to a bottle of champagne. . An enjoyable night out. There is no dress code which is a bit off putting.

I must say that Ciprian is one of the best employees at Clary’s restaurant among others.He is always polite, well mannered, friendly and quick problem solver.

Been going to this restaurant for quite a while now, food is to a very high standard and waiting times are short. However, what encouraged us to keep coming back was the service we received from an employee there, Ciprian so to speak, excellent customer service with a can do attitude, kept his calm even during busy hours! Always made sure we got what we needed, and went the extra mile.

Long time since we we were here and not a steak night. This was a regular night and the food was excellent, as was the service. The only thing is you don't get is your Aspers discount on a Friday or Saturday

I eat at this place semi-regularly. The food is always to a good standard and value for money, especially with the 25% discount if you sign up for a free Aspers World membership. The service is excellent, the waiting time has always been low for food and the waitresses are friendly and welcoming. This visit I was served by Ionela who is a pleasure to be served by. She is friendly, always smiling and very professional.

Visited Clary’s for the first time tonight. Easy to book online, food was hot, plenty of and great tasting. Perfect service too. Would defo recommend and will be visiting again!

Food was cooked and served in twenty minutes. The burgers are large, filling, well cooked and very tasty! Service was also very good! It was a Friday so missed out on Asper's deduction of £2.50. However, was well worth the higher price.

Visited this restaurant this evening for a meal, there was around 9 of us in total so a large/ish group. First of all the restaurant was quiet, probably 2 other tables if that, so it wasn’t that they were busy. Waitresses stood chatting behind the bar so yeah, they weren’t rushed off their feet. The table was booked for 7:30pm, waitress seated us and collected drink and food orders. Overall the service was slow. It took at least 20 mins for the drinks to arrive and it was an hour wait for the food. When it arrived, everyone was disappointed. Somehow most of the dishes were both undercooked and burnt! The pork belly was supposed to have a layer of crackling but this was so chewy it was practically inedible whilst the underneath was burnt???

An all-round excellent dining experience; great chef (sadly I don't know his/her name) and friendly fine-dining professional service from Ciprioan and Nicoleta. This was my first time here and I shall definitely return.

Fantastic three course dinner prawn cocktail was so tasty and very well presented The roast dinner was cooked to perfection and the red cabbage was to die for excellent meal followed by s lovely treacle sponge pudding lots of choice on the Sunday menu

My wife booked a table for two last night and we arrived about 9.30pm. It was pretty busy and we sat in the quieter bar area to dine. My wife chose the fillet steak and I had the sea bass. From the first bite my wife commented on how tender and well cooked the steak was. She also had peppercorn sauce which was home made and had a great kick to it. My sea bass was also truly amazing! The taste, presentation along with it being perfectly cooked blew me away. My wife went for a dessert of fruit crumble. It took about 30 minutes to come but that was because it was made fresh and cooked as so. It too was superb! I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning on our next trip to MK for sure!!

Currently there is an offer on, steak and chips just £5 for members. Absolute bargain and really nice food.

Out with friends and family, absoutley fantastic food and service. Well worth the money. We all will definitely be going back. We do have a casino card so that helps ehen paying the bill. Service was great and the staff friendly and efficient

Me and 2 other friends didnt have in mind coming here to eat, but feeling a bit hungry we decided to grab a bite to eat very late on a wednesday evening. We all went for different burgers, all which were cooked very nicely and how we wanted. Ciprian was very friendly and happy to serve us even tho it was nearly close time

It's nice because you have to be 18 or over to enter the building. The food is great and the Sunday lunch is outstanding the staff are always friendly. You can spend time on the tables before or after your meal. I just like it there. We took our friends for Sunday lunch and although they are local it was the first time they had eaten in Clarys they thought it was great and said they would definitely eat there again, so all in all a great experience.

In Milton Keynes for the evening so popped into Aspers for lunch. What a mistake to make. Clara’s Restaurant was serving Sunday lunch first mistake. Decided to have roast pork, veg were frozen roast potatoes had not been near an oven Yorkshire pudding was like eating card board. Husband had roast topside of beef. Basically the beef was sliced pre sandwich beef the pork was slimy not the same standard as the Aspers in Northampton. Would not recommend and will not be going again. The staff were not welcoming and looked as if they wanted to be elsewhere

We went on steak night £5 for steak, chips, tomato and mushroom, an absolute steal. Came out quickly as well. Friendly staff. We have booked again

Having eaten here on numerous occasions I would have to say we were very disappointed with the level of service on this occaision. There were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant and there was plenty of staff sadly they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than paying attention to the needs of the customers. I would say that this was out of character however having finished our meal and waiting for 15 minutes i had to leve my table and go to where 5 members of staff were happily chatting away to ask whether someone could clear our table and take an order for desserts. A poor customer experience

Had another lovely meal at the Casino on Saturday night. Great food, great service .... staff are very friendly make us feel very welcome. We go there regularly and would certainly recommend. Don’t even need to gamble if you just want to eat. Good value for money never rushed .... love it there.

Visited on a Monday "Steak Night", fantastic value, a well presented meal and exceptional service from our waitress Ioana, who has served us many times before and is always friendly and efficient with a beautiful smile that makes you feel so welcome.

Iona is always so attentive and amazing service from her.

I went for a birthday meal with my sisters. Lovely food and friendly and pleasant staff. Would recommend Clarys Bar to friends.

My wife and i was expected much more from the restaurant as it was in the casino, the service was really slow, the young man that served us had to serve drinks from behind the bar, so from when we first sat down he took an age to bring the wine list then an age to bring the wine, our patience was running out so we almost walked out, and almost got our food before the wine and not having been there before we didn't realise it was the way to the non smoking area, which we felt uncomfortable with people walking by us smelling of smoke but the food was very good and good sized portions.

Came to the casino with my friends on a friday night, decided to gamble and then dine . The food was amazing really well presented and Ioana who served us was just great. Told ud about aspers world memb etc made us get a bottle of vodka i enjoyed with my friends. Thanks darling

My daughter joined us for Sunday Lunch last week and we asked for a Bottle of House Wine, my Daughter said White I said Rose' we decided on Rose' the Waiter then said Pieot Grigio and we said yes, when the Bill came we were shocked to see we had been charged for Pieot costing £22. We queried it with the Waiter and he said you asked for Pieot Grigio we said no we definitely asked for HOUSE WINE! I have had house wine many times in Aspers Northampton and have never had a problem before. Very Disappointed with MK!

Well worth the trip to have Sunday lunch in town. Excellent, beautiful presentation of food.

We're seated straight away and then offered a better table, we gladly accepted. Our food and drinks came out quite fast and the servers were attentive. We went for my boyfriend's birthday and despite being a Saturday night it wasn't overly loud at all was lovely.

Food was fantastic, a wide range to choose from, well worth the money, all staff was amazing and service was great, I will be returning at some point!

Good price and nice service and the portions are huge so good value. However the meat was tasteless as frozen slices...the potatoes were ruined by overpowering black pepper but the Yorkshire was nice. Such a shame as looked nice.

As a member of the casino its a lovely place to visit and ive had many an enjoyable experience being a member here and have eaten in clarys who offer a generous discount to members I had no issues with the food as it was beautiful but it seems greed has taken over and only offer the discounts mon/Thurs I'm on a low wage and decided to treat my mum only to be charged full wack unaffordable for me I was upset that the staff asked for my membership card but offered no discount and issued me with the full amount on the bill why bother them asking me about my card then say it only applies on certain days they should have mentioned before the order was taken then I'd have ordered a less expensive dish on the menu I'm unhappy as I don't want to return now

This evening was the again an exceptional meal in the restaurant, we regularly visit the Casino but only eat occasionally.

An excellent meal with great service. The venue is very clean and tidy. A true gem for dining and a night out in Milton Keynes. If you wish to gamble, have a go its fun and sometimes even pays for your meal! great night out.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely roast dinner - 1 beef and 1 turkey. Plenty of meat and veg and a huge Yorkshire pudding for only £7 each. We both had starters which were only £3 - the soup was really tasty. Our waiter Ciprian was very attentive too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, we will be going again! Book a table as it can get busy.

Amazing food and service. Way above the expectations and will be visiting again. Nothing to complain about.

I suppose I should have expected a poor experience when there was no one other than our party in the restaurant at 7 on a Friday evening. The meal took ages to come out, and that is even after we preordered (it was a large party). My food was okay, although I will say that the chips were really good, and the only redeeming factor of the evening.

A fabulous night of fun, comedy and great food. We visited for an evening of Fawlty Towers in the restaurant. A 3 course meal with champagne on arrival, after checking in and getting a drink the fun started. We had a simply fabulous evening of good food great comedy and fabulous staff. The meals were served while the comedy show evolved around us and the staff continued with our service throughout. A great evening in this fabulous restaurant with great staff.

This has to be the best entertainment event we have been to (and we've been to several). Great food great show and fun company. Would definitely go again. The manager Keri is so lovely and does her best to make sure everyone has a great time.

Been here a few times now, food is delicious! Service can be great - best has been from Ioana (her cocktails also got an A* from my partner).

Although Sunday Roast price has risen to £7 over the past year and starter/puds £2.50ea It's still great value & better quality than most Sunday lunches that cost twice as much. Really good service too as were sat in main bar rather than normal restaurant area. Overall still the best place to eat Sunday lunch in MK - imho :o)

Going to the casino regularly I hardly every eat but for once I decided to eat the waitress ioana was amazing so attentive and happy she really made me feel welcome like I was any other customer even though I was a regular she really Is a credit to your waiting team as a waiter my self I was impressed with her professionalism but her personality as well.

My friends and I visit the restaurant very often . The food is really nice especially the grill master . I also try the chefs fillet from the new manu witch is amazing. Joanna who served us was amazing as always . Highly recommend .

The food is good but why do the prices keep going up so rapidly? It was £5 for Sunday lunch and £2 for starters and deserts then it went up recently to £6 Lunch then just a few weeks later it is now £7 Lunch and £3 for a starter or desert, don't get me wrong it is still good value but that is a 40% increase in a short space of time? Also afternoon tea started at £2.50 then then £3 now that is £4 ?

We have had several meals at Clary's bar and grill and it has never disappointed. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially Ioana who always greets you with a friendly smile and a chat. We sampled several dishes from the new menu last night which were fantastic and look forward to going again to try some more dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited here whilst having a day out with friends, new menu was lovely but what made our afternoon was the service from Ioana. She was fantastic throughout the meal and made our experience so much better. Always smiling and making us laugh. A credit to your restaurant .

I visited Clary's bar with a friend, service & food was very good. The only query was the waiter made us paying the bill more confusing, which should of been straight forward.

There was no waiting for our pre booked table which was located perfectly. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was very nice. I would definitely eat here again.

Came with 2 friends+they had fish+chips which were enormous+i had the chicken burger with cheese+bacon+we all had chunky fries ! We struggled to finish our meals we were so full but it was exceptional again as was the service,thank you,cant wait to visit again !!!

We have eaten Sunday lunch at this venue on a number of occasions the value for money ratio is really excellent it is always very busy based on the value I presume but the staff always appear unhurried and the service is always good I would have no hesitation recommending it but you need to be hungry as the portions are very generous

Love eating here am a regular and it’s always amazing , hard to beat... staglff always look after you and I’m always given my fav table when requested , I can’t wait to be eating here again which I’m sure will be very soon 👌👌👌 thank you especially to all the amazing staff see you soon

I spent a lovely afternoon with friends, I hadn't seen for a while, it was quiet enough to have a conversation, without having to shout. Good value for money, would recommend, and hope to have another afternoon tea, perhaps try the Sunday roast. Also must add the service was great. I think the waitresses name was Gabrielle.

Visited Clary's Bar & Grill within the Casino MK, for a little mother's Day meal, was heated with a smile...

We went in for Mothers Day with our older children, we have been for Sunday lunch before however was concerned because it was Mothers Day - it was fantastic. The food was hot, the service brilliant and the bill even better. Very good value for money thank you for a great lunch - we had all three courses - fantastic
