The Old Swan in Milton Keynes

We had family come up for a visit so had decided to go out for dinner. The Old Swan is local to us and always has fair pub prices on booze and food. I am so glad we all had Sunday roasts as they were so yummy and all fresh ingredients. Including proper homemade yorky pudds. The family ranged age 11 to 76 and everyone enjoyed it. The restaurant end is nicely decorated and plenty of space between the tables too. We will be back and as always the staff were great and friendly. Highly recommended and great value sunday roast. Definitely one of the best we've ever had in a pub.

Really friendly pub with amazingly good grub. Recommend the award winning pie. The gammon is also very juicy and worth the money.

We had traveled over from Norfolk to meet up with family and I picked the old swan as family lived nearby anyway food was awful. I had roast Turkey and beef you needed a chainsaw to get through the beef, the mash was yellow from sitting under a hot lamp I guess,I tried a little then left it. They charged for onion rings that came with hunters chicken meal plus added ciabatta bread and charged but we didn’t order it Long long wait for dessert, overall we had been in there over two half hours from the time we booked ! Half a pint of Guinness £4.80 crazy . This has to be the worst experience in a restaurant even the staff were laid back and unprofessional

Friendly staff,honest and genuine

Had fish and chips fish was so small, complained but told that's the weight it comes. Odd had fish before in this pub and it was twice the size of today's. Shan't eat it here again.

Lovely little place, very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. Would recommend for a night out for family and/or friends, decent sized beer garden and even a pool table & dart board can't go wrong with that!

I’ve visited this pub a few times recently with friends. It’s a great local with a real sense of community. Received a great welcome from Kallum this evening and Steve/others have been equally as welcoming on previous visits. Sport TV always a bonus too 👍🏻 I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Looks a small little pub but a lot larger once inside TV's for the footie and a pool table,staff very friendly service was also good. Overall a good boozer

Lovely pub with one major flaw. The "new" menu is dreadful. Used to be able to get a Sunday roast, lasagne and other pasta- all gone. Lots of regulars - and the staff - complaining about the menu forced on them by Green and King. After last meal have been in bed for 3 days ill . Come on Green King change the menu back to a more palatable choice.

Stopped here after visiting Bletchley park.food was cheap and cheerful but very good value for price. Staff were excellent very helpful and brilliant service

Had Sunday lunch while watching football, excellent value, food and beer with a good atmosphere. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Nice little pub with good sized car park at rear. Had a nice Saturday afternoon meal, some hiccups with food availability and cooking of items but staff extremely apologetic and compensated us accordingly. Very pleasant and nice atmosphere.

The pub was decent, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. The atmosphere was alright, and the drink selection was typical. While it's a fine place to hang out, it lacked that unique charm or standout features that would make it truly special.

Although local this was our first visit. Extremely pleasant evening. The dining area is quite small but the food was excellent and the wine reasonably priced. Great value for money. Staff friendly and obliging. Will be returning very soon

Lovely old pub. The meals are great for the price and have offers on a lot. Restaurant part is family friendly. Plenty of parking. During the week the majority of customers are over 60 but this makes it great for a quiet meal out.

Great place, lots of food choices, reasonably priced, really friendly atmosphere, I was there with my friend! We received great service, especially Kallum giving us a fine meal, and great customer service. Lovely busy pub! the team went above and beyond, also giving great experience! lovely evening! We will be returning!

Looked for somewhere local to eat after visiting bletchley Park. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Food was outrageously good and service was great whomever was doing the serving. Lovely place, lovely food, lovely staff, if your going to bletchley Park, add this to you're itinerary.

If a sports bar is your thing, this pub is heaven on earth. Plenty of TV's, good helpful staff and a great atmosphere. 4 stars simply because this didn't have any food. Will be back regularly.

Both of us had good meals; nicely cooked and hot when they arrived at the table. Very good value. Service was excellent. Particularly impressed with Kallum. Food was cold missed off part of order all deserts were cold. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

One of the few places we found open on a Monday evening. Kallum, the host, was extremely accommodating, not least given the size of our group with relatively limited space. There were one or two issues with our order, which were swiftly and generously resolved. The food was not too quick to arrive, but was hot and generous in portion size, and very good value for money.

Had a really enjoyable time today the meals were cooked just as we like .great service very helpful staff totally recommend .thanks Roger Pelling and family

I was told all tables were reserved when they were not as nobody occupied them within the 2hour sitting. Also I was told I could only eat in a certain area while others were told they could eat where they wanted . I also had very poor service. I would rate this place a 0 but that was not an option so I give it a 1.

Went for sunday lunch with my daughter who lives nearby. 1st visit for both of us. Really nice local pub, lovely friendly staff and service, my sunday roast and my daughters vegan burger with sides was great for us both and desserts where big and lovely. Defo going back again in near future for the beef and ale pie dinner as picture looks lovely😁. Tip marks

Great atmosphere, car park a bit small

Myself and my husband Don and daughter went to the Swan and the food was excellent and the service was great . Very friendly place and people we would recommend it to everyone it's well worth a visit .

Had the chicken mix and Biscoff cheesecake, all was absolutely delicious. My 17yr old child had the gammon and chocolate fudge brownie, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My parents had meals and dessert too, and also thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly, helpful and polite, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I would definitely recommend going for a meal or even just a drink.

Visited for Lunch today (first time in about a year plus). The service was great and nice to see some old faces in the pub. We ordered food which was really good we’ve paid a lot more money and have had terrible food. It was hot well presented and well cooked. Well done to Steve in the kitchen. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely lunch. We will be back

I love it here , although through my own misjudgement on this occasion I stat right under the TV while the football was on ( I'm not a football fan) the staff are lovely, the toilet is clean, there are different sections to sit in depending on the atmosphere you choose to have and an outside seating area which would be lovely in warmer weather. The building itself lovely also has lots of history

Booked a table was five minutes late but not a problem, the lady owner and bartender were great and polite, the atmosphere was lovely and the food and drinks were great, served with politeness the food was fantastic & hot when passing again will definitely call in.

Wow. Our first time back to the pub in over a year and It's brilliant to see how Trudy and the team have brought this much loved pub back to life. The food was utterly divine. Trudy mentioned the side orders that we could have with our food. They didn't have 2 poppadom and i was offered an alternative. Previously these little extras would've been ignored/dismissed. It's nice to see that Trudy and the team know what customer service is and are wanting to make the Old Swan an success. Well Done Trudy & Team. You're doing an amazing job. xxx

Won't be rushing back. Not great value. If the quality of the food was good I would justify paying the prices. Service was not that great either.

I can't believe The Old Swan is still going the last time I visited was 58 years ago used to play Crib in the front bar, I live in Oz now but hopefully will call in next year to relive the memories, pity The Shoulder of Mutton has gone as I lived in both pubs, Happy days.

Great pub friendly staff helpful and polite

We ordered 2 pints of real ale from the bar maid who obviously wished she was anywhere but behind the bar. The beer was warm to the touch and should not have been served, the beer was clearly off. The bar maid refused to replace it until she had servered other before sorting the issue at hand. She then had to call the manager to approve a swap, it took so long we asked for a refund. My first and last visit to this pub. Rude and unwelcoming.
