The Warbler On The Wharf in Milton Keynes

We celebrated a friend’s surprise 50th birthday at Warbler on the Wharf on Saturday, and it was absolutely fantastic! The team catered wonderfully for a group of 30, with tables arranged in 8s and all meals arriving around the same time – impressive and much appreciated. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were exceptional – friendly, attentive, and genuinely part of the celebration. They brought out the birthday cake while singing, adding such a lovely touch. What made it even more magical was the surprise proposal! The birthday boy turned the tables and proposed to his girlfriend – a moment made even more special as the staff gifted them a bucket with champagne. Such thoughtful touches made the evening unforgettable. Highly recommend for group bookings or any special occasion – they really go the extra mile!

It's a gorgeous pub. The staff could be a little friendlier, but still very enjoyable.

When there are not clouds in the horizon, this is a great place to enjoy spring and summer times. Just consider that it's a popular venue and maybe you would have a few troubles trying to find a parking spot. People are friendly and you will enjoy the ambient, food & drinks, and the view.

We picked a beautiful sunny day for our family get- together. The venue was delightful with a large parking area. Outside seating by the canal was stunning. Inside was just as nice with clean tables and cosy chairs. Service was good with a cheerful waitress. The food however was rather disappointing. My first choice wasn’t available and so I had to make another choice. Although tasty I didn’t enjoy my dinner and the salad part was poor, just a couple of leaves. My dessert choice wasn’t very good either. I would probably give this place another go in the future.

Lovely food, ambience & staff!!!

Desserts are slightly pricey but food is good here. Nice atmosphere. Try not to sit too near the doors near the outside tables as you might breathe in other people's smokes as we did sitting near the exit doors near the back. People come in and out of these doors so cigarette and vape smokes came in as we were eating which was slightly unpleasant. Lovely well decorated place, always feels very cosy. I love looking at the boats and canal path that leads to Campbell park. Lovely place to have some food and a nice walk around the flats, houses and canal boats nearby.

We were served by Brooke on Easter Saturday. The restaurant was very busy, lots of large tables and she was brilliant. So friendly and efficient. Thank you very much, we would definitely return.

Went on a Sunday as a smaller menu than usual, but had the roast lamb lovely 😋 had the chocolate sphere for dessert Wow.... Main menu for the other days looked great. Will be back to try something fro it. 👍👍.

We had 2 burgers one beef one chicken tasted amazing definitely the burgers were a hit unfortunately someone ordered a salad which was not great there was more salad not enough chicken or bacon thankfully they took the salad off the bill thank you staff for that much appreciated

Had an amazing time at the Warbler yesterday! The atmosphere and vibe were absolutely spot on — relaxed, lively, and just the kind of place you want to unwind in. The location is perfect, and the ambience really adds to the overall experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. They’ve also got a great selection of drinks to choose from. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

As a family of four, we’ve been here many times since it opened. My son and I normally have the Steak Frites which has always been consistently excellent. Unfortunately, last night both our steaks were tough and sinewy. I’m not sure if they’re using a different supplier now, but it spoilt what is normally a lovely experience. An apology was offered, but no concession on the bill.

We went to this establishment and was not disappointed the service was outstanding the drinks are a bit expensive but we'll worth paying for.

What a beautiful place! You can sit inside, but i recommend the outside terrace , where you can enjoy the view on the water with boats. The service is great and quick. The food is very tasty 😋 and various.

Took our mother here on Sunday 13th April to celebrate her 90th Birthday. It was definitely the right place to come. The staff where fantastic. Found her a arm chair to sit in at table instead of her being in her wheelchair. Really made a fuss of her. The food was great and so was service we were a bigish party and we did not have to wait for our meals. Thank you for looking after us and making mums 90th celebration special

Let's start from the star of the whole place and she is the waitress with piercing - she's simply awesome lifting the whole place above and beyond. And now we crack on to the food... Steak (medium rare) came in cold, but there were no issues, they took it and quite quickly brought out a new one that was basically rare that exposed not that high of the quality of the meat as it's hard and chewy - definitely not worth £27 plus extras price tag. Peppercorn sauce disappointing, didn't even encounter a whole peppercorn in it 🤷🏼 Wagyu burger is just a burger that doesn't feel like having anything to do with wagyu, maybe they have used wagyu grease to cook it??? And it's amazingly small for £17 charge... Would suggest to go to Smashburger in Kingston, they dropped the quality, but it's still miles better value for money. On a good side chips were great lol Kids menu is also decent as little one ate way more than she usually does.

We had a private event in The Nest and access an hour before to set up. All staff before and during were just great. Everything went to plan. We ordered from the normal menu and without exception, everyone felt the food was amazing and the service spot on. Thoroughly recommend for events or a lovely meal out

Came in for lunch with some friends and was very pleased with the service, Josh was extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was quick and tasty, and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be returning soon!

A terrible experience unfortunately! We came for lunch on Tuesday… on arrival we got given the menus and sat in the bar area. Once ready to order, we went to the counter to be told only then that 3/4 of the menu wasn’t available due to new menus starting the day after and that’s already not really professional, wish you’d told us on arrival as we wouldn’t have waisted 30 min to choose dishes you didn’t even have. Managed to order 2 French onion soups, meant to be served with sourdough and barbers cheddar: when the food finally arrived 40 min later, soups were cold and the bread was just a slice of white Hovis with some grated cheap cheddar…. Shame…. Location is nice but courtesy isn’t to be found nowhere in the premises.

Was excited to finally try this place. I asked for a table for two and was told to just sit in the bar area, not sure why as it wasn't busy. Had to go up to the bar to order food and drinks and was met with a very rude attitude by the server. Didn't catch her name but she had pink hair. She was just not interested in being there or serving us. Decided on 4 small plates which I am so happy about as the food was terrible. Squid was just batter no squid. Prawns rubbery. Chili chicken tasted of Iceland frozen food with sweet chilli sauce. The humus was the worst I have ever experienced. Was runny and tasted awful. The focaccia with it was bland and one slice of toast for all the humus just don't make sense. My beer was good! But the margarita omg! You don't put ice in a margarita and I'm pretty sure they put table salt on the rim and not just a little bit either a mountain of salt. Shame as it's a nice location but won't be back that's for sure

Food is overpriced for what it is. £16.50 for a small vegetarian burger and a small handful of chips -there were literally none!!! It was nothing special, in fact I've had nicer meals at a fast food restaurant. I had a cappuccino, nothing special, it was £4.50 and took 15 minutes to come out. The location is nice and the outside is nice but it's not worth the money, You really need to give bigger portions and better quality food if you charge these kinds of prices. Not very good vegetarian options either. Not even a side salad or coleslaw with the food!

I've eaten here twice now and the food is superb, I highly recommend the roast lamb I had today. I'll definitely be back.

Went as a family group of 8 to celebrate 2 birthdays that week. It was a Saturday night and the place was vibrant. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Food was as described and delicious. Definitely will return and have recommended. Tried to get in again more recently and it was full...that says it all. Keep doing what you are doing.

Come here on a regular basis for Sunday lunch which is amazing, other days we normally go for the steak which is the best we have had. However, this time I was dished the worst steak I have ever had. I started to cut around the outside and noticed the steak seemed tougher than usual and very chewy. Not liking to complain I tried to eat more but came to a section in the middle that I was not able to cut with the steak knife. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she took it away and replaced with a quality steak portion that I am used to here. Apology was provided by the management team, and a free drink was provided. Luckily this didn’t put me off and I was able to eat the replacement dish, and it was lovely, look forwards to returning.

Family birthday meal for 14 of us tonight. Food good and nice atmosphere. Parking tricky but understand Friday night is busy. We were looked after by Dyllan... nothing too much trouble and really polite and welcoming...credit to the company. Thank you.

We didn't eat here, just went in for a drink. I asked for a Guinness 0:0 and was told you didn't sell it. So ordered something else. Looked at the drinks menu on the table and yes you do sell it, not happy.

Stopped here as we really wanted to try the Sunday roast. It was OK, lots of people raved about it but I didn't think it was that great tbh. Smallish portions, although there are options to add sides. Food wasn't particularly hot coming out. Disappointing but might just have been an off day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Love this place! They've done a great refurbishment on it and the menu is just what you'd expect from a gastro pub.

Very small portions , £23 for a small bowl of beef and mash potatoes missing crispy onions. Wagu burger lovely taste but they put a slice of cheese unmelted which had to be taken back to melt, chips were re cooked so very oily so didn’t finish. This I it was also over priced for the portion . The restaurant was lovey and clean good location and staff amazing , out server Adrian was excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Sorry but won’t return .

The menu is great for people with allergens. I am veggie, gluten free and soy free and I still had options to choose from. Nath was our server and he was very friendly and knowledgeable:)

We are always sure that we will have a delicious meal in comfortable surroundings and be looked after by attentive, friendly staff. Brooke in particular is an example of how to get it right everytime. Also caters very well for gluten free diners, thank you.

First time going but was recommended by family and friends. Had Issy serve us and she managed to get our food/drinks order quick and efficient while dealing with the dad jokes (asking for a left handed fork for one) she handled her first shift alone so well. Food was fantastic, having an allergy always made me conscious but the manager and servers were great with sending food out. Reasonable prices, good selections! Fantastic family evening. Big thanks to Issy again who really shined today! Will return!🙏🏼👌🏼🍷

My first visit here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Wonderful pub with a great ambience for a Monday evening. Menu is varied and steaks here are very good. Staff are very polite and service was outstanding. They went beyond the extra mile to make our evening a memorable one. Thankyou for a wonderful visit and we will be back in the future. Visited Warbler on the Wharf for a Valentine’s Day celebration with my wife and two boys, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a clean and spacious setting right by the canal. The venue is beautifully decorated, with lovely colors, pleasant scents, and a great overall vibe. Service was top-notch—Ellie took great care of us with her friendly smile and amazing service. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, making it a great spot for a family meal. Plenty of parking available, but I’d definitely recommend booking in advance as it gets very busy.

We had the lamb and beef Sunday roasts, which were delicious. Nathan was our server - he was friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our time at The Warbler on the Wharf, that we will be visiting again soon.

The second time we used the Warbler, we ordered Mozzarella as a starter it came in a a lukewarm sauce when we cut into the breadcrumb coating the Mozzarella was still frozen in the middle. Then the ‘fish’ and a few chips came out the meal was cold the batter was so thick you thought it was a large portion but once opened the so called fish was smaller than my finger and was a dark grey colour, we never got an answer to was it was, they brought out another plate which was glowing hot and so dry it was inedible. We were offered a refund on the main courses but it still worked out to £160 for the four of us. Never again will we cross the threshold, McMullans flagship has sunk to the bottom of the warfe

Stopped here for lunch, the place has a nice cosy atmosphere, upstairs seating has a nice view and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had dietary restrictions to cater for too, which was no problem at all. They have a separate menu for gluten free, which has a good range of starters, mains and desserts! The service was fast and when our meals arrived the gluten free ones were clearly marked with allergy.

A good selection of drinks with a good atmosphere and great service from the bar staff Mitchell served us today. The soughdough sharer is excellent and only £7 well worth a trip

So I can say with my hand on my heart that this is the best pub in Milton and even more that this place is top 3 pubs in Milton. Firstly the food is top notch, I've tried quite a few things on the menu. Second, atmosphere, cleanliness and coziness at a very high level. Third, the staff is great and very professional. I am writing these lines so that people know that this is indeed a remarkable place.

Have the onion nests, if you like a bit of crunch. Divine. Dogs allowed. Even kids are allowed ;)

My partner and I had Sunday lunch at the Warbler and whilst the food and service was good, I was not impressed with the "old" cutlery and poor taste in Wine glasses. I ordered a glass of Malbec at £10 per glass and it comes in the glass that would not look out of place at a working mens club and was almost filled to the brim.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Wharbler on the Wharf. Food and drinks were delicious. What made our visit extra special was our server Katie, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time, and even created us a drink not on the menu when our favourites weren't available! Would highly recommend, second to none service, very impressed. Thank you!

Service a little slow between but once ordered the food came quickly. Sunday options are great, really tasty. Really like the atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere very busy but didn't feel overcrowded. Food choices for vegetarians are very limited as they are geared more towards vegans, which is a little disappointing. However, it does seem the norm for a lot of pubs these days. The staff were excellent, very helpful and attentive

Good range of beers. I haven't eaten here but I bet it's good. Right on the canal if you want to combine a walk and dog friendly too.

On arrival we were told to wait to see if our table was ready. After a few minutes the family behind us were invited to follow our server, an easy mistake but unfortunately a sign of things to come. When we sat down our server instructed us that we needed to be out by 7 (sat down at 5) as the table had another booking. Our orders were taken and drinks delivered. The family that came in behind us were then served their meals before us as we waited for an hour for our food. Food portion sizes are not large. The market fish (seabass) was served with four new potatoes and a couple of leaves of kale. The lamb shepherds pie had a very small amount of mash. Both tasted good to be fair. Our server returned to the table and threw the dessert menus into the middle of the table before leaving again. We tried to order two desserts but were told they had run out of both. All together terrible service, no class and poor management of customer experience. Will not go back.

I didn't eat here this time. It's a good pub which also serves food and dog friendly too.

First time I've visited this pub and what a great place it is! I ordered the steak frites and bbq chicken thighs and they were both delicious dishes. Really friendly staff too! Highly recommended.

Fabulous service - food was fantastic- the best Sunday roast all three of have had out in such a long time. We arrived early for our pre booked table and they took us straight to our table - the staff were all attentive and we didn’t get forgotten about. The restaurant was extremely busy but this didn’t affect the experience or quality. Will go back, and definitely recommend.

Second visit here and it’s great. My kids loved the HUGE Christmas tree. The atmosphere is great; menu is good and food was also good. Children’s menu good - portions are very big. Sunday roast also looked good. Great staff too, very friendly.

We went last week for Christmas Eve & had the set festive menu. The food was absolutely incredible. The pub had a great atmosphere alongside live music playing. We stayed back for drinks & had the best evening! Parking is abit a nightmare here, so make sure you leave with plenty of time to spare in case you need to find alternative place to leave the car.

Nice decor Parking is limited, so be prepared to park elsewhere & walk. Although it’s along the canal walk was nice. Food, ok. I went for the Vegetarian Rosary goat’s cheese tart. Sounded delicious, but sadly disappointed. Goats cheese was more like foam & not enough of it, tart was dry, could have done with more dressing. Friend ordered fish & chips & partner ordered the Plant burger. No one asked if we wanted sauces etc. Had to ask for it & disappointment that the fish & chips didn’t automatically have tartare sauce. Plant burger was expensive for what it was. Server was lovely, really attentive & knowledgeable. Wasn’t our allocated server that brought the food. For a main course & 1 drink each, expensive in my opinion.

Very impressed with this pub. The food was excellent - best fish and chips I have had for a long time, the batter was perfect. Service was also good and the pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Thank you to all the staff at the very buzzing Warbler on Saturday 7th Dec for taking care of 22 of us in the Nest upstairs. The whole decor was tastefully festive. We had the Christmas menu which was delicious. Special mention for Brooke who was very professional, patient, efficient and lovely…x

Food was decadent, local, and satisfying. Service could've been five stars; however, the attentiveness of the staff was a bit lacking. Multiple servers for one table were a bit much. Overall, it was an amazing time for friends and family gatherings.
