Counter service needs improvements. Entered the shop, told one minute by three staff.(not a problem) Started to place my order, the lady said again one minute and answered the phone. I left and had KFC instead

Service excellent and fish and chips good. Portions reasonable but prices slightly high but I am happy to return here.

Chippy is open very accommodating. Once you have placed you order you will need to wait outside during vivid.

Has to be one of the best fish and chips in Milton Keynes highly recommend it I’m very fussy with fish and chips normally always go to the coast but told how good this shop was it didn’t disappoint

I have been going to this Fish & Chip shop for three years now and I have never had cause to complain, I thought it is about time I gave an honest review. Gary and his wife run this shop most of the week, and only get his Mother and sister involved when they are busy. They do speak English and have no problems understanding you when you place your orders. (the Family are from Vietnam). 99%t of the time they cook to order and the fish is always perfectly cooked, and the chips are reasonably sized with hardly any scraps in the packet, always hot and well cooked every time, the pricing structure is about average for the area and is reasonable so it's affordable. I go there at least once a week if not twice, they serve Kebabs in the evening along with the set menu which well place for you to read and make your choice call them to place your order on 01908 520321.All in All, a well balanced and well run Fish and Chip Shop, and I shall remain a regular so long as they run it.

Looked for a new chippy because our local doesnt do fish burgers anymore and im glad they dont because we found this gem to use instead! We got two fish burgers, a large spring roll, chips and of course curry sauce! It was lovely, well priced and so tasty!! Fish burgers were huge with loads of salad and chips were lovely! Clean and friendly shop aswell! Best fish burgers around!

We've been using this takeaway for quite a while now since they took over the business, never had a bad portion of chips, always cooked correctly and hot. Tried most things on the menu and very satisfied, would highly recommend over the extortionate rubbish from Shenley church end.

Horrible place , they are theifs and would like to check their immigration status. Saw rats in the food area , missing food and it was awful

A nice family run chip shop, always willing to help, they filter the cooking oil twice daily to ensure top quality.

This is now a 5-star chippy for me. It took a little while for the new owners to get up to speed but now they're doing really well. The food is of an excellent standard (for a chippy) and the new owners are friendly and helpful.

I knew the original owners & it became my chippy of choice for the best food & service. It then changed hands to an oriental family & after a choppy beginning they have become just as good as the previous owners, thus they are still my chippy of choice. The fish is juicy with just the right amount of batter & the kebabs are still great. The costs have gone up but only in keeping with inflation I found. the range of items has increased & the portions have also become small, medium, large & extra large thus increasing your choice. I have seen quite a few very negative reviews so I assume that these were new people that only called in during the choppy change over period because now they are brilliant with good food & friendly service.

A Big shame that Deano and his dad are not there anymore ,Chinese taken over .Although the quality of the food is very good they have now become very expensive ,I went a couple of months ago with my wife and daughter and our order came to about £14.50 ,We went Today 6/12/17 and the price had gone up to £18.50 so an increase of £4.00 . Most of the staff can't speak a work of english so getting through is sometimes quite difficult . We wont be frequenting the shop again as an increase of over 25% in 2 months is ridiculous .I fear they wont last very long which is a shame as in this day and age people will not be ripped off by others ,they are more savvy !

Así que tenemos en nuestro local chippie novatos. Hurra por! ! He estado allí unas cuantas veces y cada vez que han preparado patatas fritas recién y la salsa de curry. . . oh! Salsa de curry de la! Realmente agradable equipo de allí y después de charlar con ellos reconocieron que tenían problemas de dentición, pero han hecho ajustes (presets) y aún así, pero en general parecen ser allí. No visitar un viernes (alguna vez), así que no puedo comentar sobre la ajetreada noche, pero cuando hemos estado allí nunca una cola grande, siempre rápidamente y con una gran sonrisa. De hecho tienen en realidad nos hizo volver a nuestro local como la calidad de la comida es mucho mejor que antes. Seguid así!

No pasará mucho tiempo o esfuerzo ya que no molestes.

Desde que cambiaron de propiedad la comida ha ido cuesta abajo lentamente, esta noche pedí bacalao y patatas fritas como de costumbre una vez a la semana, fue el más seco pedazo de pescado nunca y el chip estaban secos y duros.

Esta fue mi primera visita, ya que los nuevos propietarios tomaron.

We've been eating her for over ten years - without complaint - but new ownership has meant food has gone down hill, and orders are mixed up. Shame really

No es la mejor, desde tiempos habituales calentar el almuerzo, no debe permitirse, sin embargo, si consigues las patatas fritas cuando recién entonces están bien, aparte de que no te molestes.

I've lived in MK for 30+ years and as someone who regularly visits the coast I like to think I'm a connoisseur when it comes to fish and chips. I've tried pretty much all the fish and chip shops in MK and there are only two worth a mention - Broughton and Westfriers. Both are good but on balance I'd say Westfriers is probably the best simply because the quality of the fish is always consistently good. The fish is always fresh and white and has a nice firm texture and the chips are always fantastic. The staff are friendly and efficient and there's always plenty of parking nearby as it located in the Westcroft shopping district.

This place has won awards and for very good reasons. When you're looking for a chippy, you want somewhere that doesn't cost the earth, the food is good, and it is consistent. Westfriars meets all of this and then some. Definitely recommended.

Amazing that you can get a healthier version of fish and chips. Grilled fish, so excellent for anyone avoiding gluten, chips and salad and all for a fiver.

I love getting fish and chips from Westfriers. The service is excellent and the food is delicious ☺. I guess the only down side is they do not take card payments but there's a cash point at Morrisons so no big deal.

Just because we live just five minutes away does not mean we are happy to us our local chippy. We frequent Westfriars because the chips are fabulous, the fish fresh and the pies tasty. The staff are great- always a good welcome. Not only are we happy to frequent the chippy, we are happy to recommend it to others. Westfriars at Westcroft, Milton Keynes deserves the aware - Best Chippy in Milton Keynes, they are certainly not wrong.

family run business serving quality fish and chips. The only drawback seems to be that you have to wait for your fish to be cooked but I suppose that this guarantees your food is freshly coked.

Chips and pies were ok but quite expensive compared to other places we'd been. Will be going back to our usual chippy from now on.

I only tend to have cheesy chips from here so can't say much about anything else, but the chips are always spot-on, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable, so can't complain at all.

Have used a few times whilst at Westcroft, and as others say the Chips are very nice, its always busy which is a good sign.Staff are helpful and friendly and the food is good

The chip shop has been there 18 yrs with the same friendly faces.. food is superb and willing to travel miles then the 1 2min away from me. Taste the same as done from beginning.. variety of choice even kids meals with excellent cheap prices for the superb food. Well recommended .. the award was much deserved A++

I like stopping by there on my way home from work. The people there are always lovely and very friendly and chatty. However, the food isn't all that great.

We had a takeaway on Friday night after a trip to the super market. Amazing food, quick service and pleasant staff are the highlights of this place. We had a large haddock, large chips, spring roll, fish cake and donner kebab burger, all for just under a tenner. Good quality food and place looks very hygenic. Will definitely be going back.

Geat selection of foods from fish and chips to kebabs to paninis ...and always happy to prepare fresh fish. We particularly love the grilled fish ...wonderful taste and fantastic value for money.

Great choice great kids meals and value. Really nice staff highly recommended. There are others close by but still keep coming back to this one for the service.

My family have been going to Westfriers for over 10 years. I have yet to have a better meal from a Chippy.Vege Spring roll is great - huge. The portion sizes of the chips are very generous, a large feeds three of us. My son swears by the the kebabs with all the trimmings and my husband always has the fish. GREAT!!!!It is staffed by a family that takes great pride in what they do and knows their regulars.
