Didn't get what we ordered. Called them to be told it was what we ordered. Explained we never order plain rice and 3 chicken dishes. I said we ordered a lamb dish but whoever took the call wouldn't listen. I ended the call as was getting nowhere. Such a shame as the last one was very nice After trying to eat the food went to bed hungry as it was awful 😫

Cinnamon lounge used to be very nice..I don’t know why or how they changed I ordered a delivery,the delivery man is always so nice, it’s the meal I always ask for mild madras and a few times it was absolutely lovely then other times and still asking for mild …it’s as if there trying to kill me…it’s hotter than a vindaloo??. The meals should be the same every time…they need to fix it…..I’m not happy at all.in fact I’m absolutely starving

Ordered from here in November. Absolutely lovely. Just ordered tonight. Food arrived quickly but my husband’s korma was so watery (see image). I know a korma and chicken bhuna aren’t the most adventurous dishes but they were so much better last time. Onion bhaji (see image) and mushroom pakoras were so greasy, the batter on the pakora was spongy and thick. Sundries were dry, cold and flavourless. Please do better, even on a busy night; this was almost 40 pounds worth of food.

Amazing food service and atmosphere

Very enjoyable evening with excellent service and good food.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years, and always had a great meal. This evening, the food was again superb, but sadly the plates were tepid (not hot), and there was no way of keeping the serving pans warm. Towards the end of the meal, the manager (I think), came round to ask us how our meal was. I told him the food was superb, but sadly not hot, due to the warm plate, and lack of hot plate to keep the food warm. His response was “if you don’t like it, go somewhere else”. No problem, I will. !!!! If you don’t REALLY want to know what people think, then don’t ask in the first place. The staff were all excellent, but this response cost them their usual tip, and we certainly won’t be going back - disgraceful customer service.

Excellent service, very attentive, great menu selection and gorgeous food. We didn’t book, just called in on the off chance, they seated us straight away, fairly busy for a Tuesday. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

This is a well established restaurant offering excellent Asian food. To start we had the sizzling mix and the Darren Gough specials which were very good with nice poppadums and dips but my favourite was the Liver Tikka !! For mains we had the Lamb and Special Biryani and Fish Balti plus a Sammy's special with all of them packing flavour with the best Naan Bread ever ! Good Malabar IPA on draught led to a perfect meal with very friendly service. Also there was an excellent magician on a Sunday teatime. Good parking and must for a spicy treat !

Really disappointed that the manager has upset a very loyal customer who has used this business for many years. I really don’t understand why a business takes takeaway services if they can’t rely on the staff that they employ. He has really upset my friend when it was him that was in the wrong - you have not just lost a customer in my friend tonight you have also lost all of her friends too - think next time you decide to be rude to someone on the phone

Could not ask for better. Food was proper A* and the service you won't beat. Nothing too much trouble. Top class banter and couldn't have felt more welcome. Thank you for a first class service. We will be back with friends

Lovely place with amazing food certainly go back

I had been to the Cinnamon Lounge once before, a couple of years ago, and enjoyed the meal, the place and atmosphere. So having gone on line to book I had some apprehension on reading the review from KirstineB9 dated May 2023. My visit last night was with three of my (adult) grandchildren. I need not to have worried. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. We had four different curries, each of which was distinctive, recognisable and excellent in taste. The peshwari naans were exceptional. At the finish of our meal we were offered a complimentary drink, not the usual watered down Baileys you often get in Indian restaurants, but any drink from the bar ! Overall a very satisfying evening and I will be back soon I’m sure.

First time visit here, Usually go to Zoya in morley. Must say the food was absolutely lovely, staff friendly and happy to engage. Both my wife and myself were very impressed and will be going again, Fish Masala, and Onion Bhaji starters out of this world. Very impressed. Thanks for making us welcome.

Servers were lovely and made sure my sister had a great birthday meal with our family. Food was gorgeous as always. However, the manager (from what it seems) were absolutely disgusting to his staff. He was wearing a grey shirt… majority of his staff looked so upset and hurt by the way he was talking to them. From someone who has worked in customer service I’ve never been so disgusted in that type of behaviour. Please be more mindful of your staff. Keep up the great food tho!

Absolutely the worst dining experience of our lives. We’d talked about visiting this place for a long time & eventually booked. We ordered 2 different mains, one rice, 2 chapatis and two drinks. The food arrived within 5 minutes & both dishes were identical to look at and taste. The spoke with the ‘Manager’ and he immediately became rude and abusive. He didn’t offer any explanation or apology, gather up the plates and walked off with them. Astounded, we sat and began to finish our drinks. The manager then returned and literally threw the bill onto the table. We had been charged for a meal we hadn’t eaten and not been offered anything else. I went to the bar area and explained to the waiter and he immediately accepted our payment for two drinks. The manager appeared midway and again became aggressive and abusive stating he wanted a full payment. I refused, again saying I was happy to pay for the drinks. Because of the aggressive behaviour and threats I began to video and so did my partner. We felt in fear and tried to leave and the manager locked us in. He accused us of being racist and said we did this kind of thing for a living. We are two females in our 40’s who have never complained at a restaurant ever before. The waiter tried his best to reason with the manager (turns out they are brothers) but he wouldn’t let us just pay for the drinks and leave. It became such an intimidating and fearful experience that we had no other option than to ring the police which sounds dramatic but trust me, it was horrendous. (Such a shame video’s can not be uploaded on here) The police responded really quickly (thankfully with body cam) the manager continued with his accusations stating we had been racist and abusive. We showed the officers our video’s. Thankfully the waiter (brother) told the police exactly what had happened and apologised for what had happened. We paid for our drinks and left, leaving the police dealing with the manager. Quite simply the worst dining experience ever and having read other reviews on here this wasn’t a ‘one off’ incident.

This is the very best of Asian cuisine you won't taste food like it anywhere else because it's absolutely the tastiest ever and the portion sizes are very big. You definitely will not come away from here hungry. Also its very affordable. The staff are courteous/polite at all times but also you can have a laugh and a joke with them nothing is too much trouble and we are even on first name terms now. We love this place thanks for being so brilliant guys. You never disappoint and were fantastic with our 2 year old niece who also loves your food.

Had a lovely evening with great food and excellent service, the grilled lamb chops are highly recommended full of flavour tender came off the bone without any struggle however I have say that the fish masala was my favourite nice and crunchy spicy with a great unique rich flavour. We enjoyed the lamb buna and chicken karahi and one of my favourite dishes which is daal. A great evening with the family, have to say a big thanks to Sam and the boys at Cinnamon Lounge. Divine food, Best ever We booked a table for 8 on a Sunday evening with the family. Enjoyed our evening thoroughly the food the service the atmosphere was beyond expectations. Had free fantastic entertainment to accompany our meal with some magic thrown in by Johnny the magician whos in every Sunday evening, was a good laugh.

Best food in yorkshire asian authentic cuisine hygiene was very good and clean. The lamb kahrai asian style was scrumptious and the special balti was very good.

Excellent service and good food. Came on Mothers Day and for a fully packed out restaurant the attention the waiters give you is amazing and a surprise to see a magician. The food was spot on especially the flavours from the Lamb Karahi and the Darren gough starter. Would recommend if you’re from Wakefield. Great prices too can’t beat em!

An average experience with regard to the actual food, but to be completely honest not surprising. This restaurant caters for people who mainly don’t know any better and people who know good food simply don’t eat here, having said that, the service is fine and generally very friendly, we had a pickle tray and 6 poppadom for starters, with 4 mains all with pilau rice, we had two drinks each and the bill was £125, it would have been more but we gave up waiting for someone to take our dessert and coffee order! Three of the curries, although described in the menu as being very different, were literally exactly the same, we all tried each others and non of us could tell the difference between them, they were bland and pretty tasteless, probably made more apparent because non of them were ‘hot’, we went for flavour rather than heat and were disappointed. Around 15 years ago, I did a review strongly disagreeing with the ‘Best curry house in Yorkshire’ banner proudly displayed outside and still there, but it seems nothing has changed. Look, this place does a lot of covers in a short space of time and has a very busy ‘take out’ business, so the demands on the kitchen must be high, so what can you expect? Quality is sacrificed for output. So to sum up, busy bustling restaurant, good parking, nice clean surroundings, decent service, very average food, fairly high price.

We went for a family meal and really enjoyed it. The suroundings were warm and welcoming and the staff were extremely good and friendly. The variety of food was extensive with sufficient choice for evetyone. Food came quickly and was all delicious. A very enjoyable evening.

Ordered a takeaway for two via just eat which arrived promptly and whilst the pickle tray and poppadoms were fine, my Special Karahi Lamb was a major disappointment. The sauce was totally bland and tasteless, the dish had no spice or heat at all and the less than generous pieces of lamb were a bit chewy. The garlic naan was like eating cardboard and didn’t even have a hint of garlic.My partners main course was not quite as bad as mine but she described it as totally uninspiring. Despite us both being very hungry, large portions of our meal were thrown away which never happens with a curry.As a semi regular visitor to the restaurant, we have never had a poor experience before and I cannot believe that this takeaway meal was prepared in the same kitchen as the restaurant, because it was so far off their usual high standard and if they served this poor quality to their in house diners there would be plenty of complaints and returns.In summary, the take away prices are comparable with the restaurant and therefore takeaway customers deserve the same standard of ingredients and care, which our meal clearly failed to meet. Suffice to say we will not be repeating the experience.

First time my fiancée and myself have gone for a meal since lockdown. I have to say the covid precautions here are excellent. The staff all have PPE, they have a one way system, Sanitiser everywhere and the tables are adequately spaced. I felt reassured and comfortable.The food is amazing, my partner had liver tikka starter and it was the best cooked liver I have ever eaten, soft and moist and delicious. The rest of the food was just as amazing, right size portions and all cooked to a very high standard. The garlic nan was awesome.Staff have always been friendly and helpful and even at this difficult time with all the PPE which is restrictive and uncomfortable they maintained that friendliness.Well done Cinnamon Louge for making us feel safe and providing us with a top notch meal.

I booked a table for 7:00pm on Wednesday evening. We were asked to queue out side which we did. Eventually we were seated in a reception area where I observed staff and looked at the menu. I was surprised to find the menus were printed on paper and stapled together. I then noticed the prices. The price of all food had increased - the main meals by about £4:00.I became aware that the staff were wearing masks but they were worn to only cover the mouth and not the nose. Glasses were being handed yo customers rather than being offered on a tray. At 7:25pm we decided to leave. The staff asked why we were leaving and when I explained my concerns the member of staff shouted at me and told me "To get out of his restaurant." He became more aggressive and refused to listen to my concerns and stood pointing at the door shouting "Get out, get out".I was appalled at this behaviour. I am a woman in my 60's out with my daughter and I have never been spoken to like that before in a restaurant. Avoid.

A Lockdown Birthday meal ordered for delivery & hoping for a superior standard than your average takeaway based on reviews.Starter was cold & no accompanying salad & mint dip as stated on the menu.Main courses were just average. Was very disappointed. Not dined in the restaurant yet & would probably be a totally different experience, but after sampling the menu at home I won’t be in a rush to book when the restaurant re-opens.

We are new to the area and originally chose The Spiced Mango but we’re kept waiting without being seated for 35 minutes and it was very rowdy so we left and took a chance to see if we could get a table here. A very comfortable eating place with very attentive staff. There is a good range of Indian cuisine and in the main it's of a very good standard. Just occasionally a dish is not up to par but this to be fair is few and far between. All in all a good place to eat

Absolute waste of money, had a takeaway, guessing they don't care about deliveries as much as customers eating in their restaurant, bland tasteless and a waste of nearly £30..should of stuck to my original plan of marmite on toast, at least I'd have had some flavour...really really disappointed

DO NOT RISK IT! My Mum and stepdad visited yesterday evening and since around 11pm she has been violently ill. She has been throwing up and has a terrible stomach upset. She is extremely ill and a visit the A&E is required!! Unbelievable!! Don’t risk going to this place.

Visited mid week with family that live nearby, they go often. We loved it, plenty of room, nice decor, fast friendly knowledgeable service. All the food was excellent, served good & hot.
