We often order from here and absolutely love the food but the past couple times I’ve ordered I feel like the curries have gone a bit downhill, seem a bit bland compared to usual, I’m not sure if the chef has changed? I usually order a pathia as the pathia is usually the best in Wakefield but it was super bland tonight. The guy at the door was so so lovely though, super apologetic! And I understand it’s a Saturday night and it’s busy which is why it was so late. I really hope for some consistency

had takeaways from here before been spot on tonight's mixed grill was inedible everything was dry and over cooked or yesterday's leftovers chicken leg was under cooked mutton or lamb tiker was stringy and tough will use u again but not your grill very disappointed sorry don't usually moan but you need to know

We ordered a selection of things to share and weren't disappointed. Everything was tender and full of flavour. Beautiful!

chips were cold & hard garlic naan was burnt & unedible had to put straight in bin apart from that rest was nice

We had a delicious meal here on a Friday evening. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the ambiance and decor which was a little stark.

Really looking forward to this meal after reading the reviews. Disappointed. The meal was plain and at best average. The sauces were plain and lacking depth. One good thing was the pickle tray, excellent.

The curry’s where ok (chicken balti) chicken passanda) the chips where abysmal the bajis where soggy and the delivery time was about 1hour 20-30 mins. The first and last time I will eat here expensive for what it was

positives: the curries and the lamb chops/tikka were lovely. negatives the chicken tikka main was bone dry and charcoalled burnt and 7 small pieces of chicken do not make a main meal. not sure of there's was supposed to be like a sizzler with onions etc or a salad maybe? either way was very expensive for what you got. samosas were like petrol station prepacked ones. didn't taste bad just not restaurant standard. would try again for the curries/lamb

There was plenty of food in the boxes..however the chef was chilli happy and we struggled to eat some of the food.

we eat here regularly both takeaway and in the restaurant and you could tell that tonight they were very very very busy the food was not to it usual high standard, disappointing forgivable we will still go back

Staff are really nice. The service is great we weren't rushed, the place is clean, tidy and well decorated. I will be back next time I'm in the area.

The curry was tasteless like someone had just tipped random spices in it with no idea on what they were doing, chapati's and fries were cold and the garlic naan was not even garlic, the poppadoms were just a bag of bits, very disappointed. Will not be ordering from here again

11 of us including 3 children (8,5 &2). Birthday girl was spoilt and the service was without doubt, focused on us having the best experience they could give us. They were so attentive to all our needs and treated each child as individuals to make them feel important too and not an inconvenience - as a family unit we were very much welcomed and valued. Birthday cake and a small 'drink on the house' capped off one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! A lot of pretentious venues could learn a lot from coming here!

The lamb rogan Josh was quite salty

rang the restaurant to chase it up, they were very rude, said they were 1 and half hours behind and put the phone down on us. we were not angry or rude at all, we just wanted to know if the order was in process.

Always friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, on Sunday evening you get a very good magician thrown oh and yes, never had a bad meal. My favourite restaurant around Wakefield.

I like the tastes of Indian food but am not very good with heat at all, this place does a fantasic range of dishes, based on nuts and fruit and cream, really tasty but very mild, my favourite is the chicken delight, and their peshwari naan's are the best, really full of almond paste.

One of the best curry’s I have. Had plus the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the family nan bread was. A great talking point

Very attentive and friendly staff. All of the food we chose was great. I had a fish starter that was cooked to perfection. They even have a healthy choice curry on the menu now, cooked with no oils or fats, which was really good. Not the first time we've been and I'm sure we'll be going again.

The order was accepted and the delivery time was given between 18:30 and 18:50. At 18:35 we got a notification that the food was on its way. After 35 minutes it still hadn’t arrived so I queried this via the app. The notification then changed from on its way to delayed. The food eventually arrived nearly an hour after it had set off and was cold. I can only assume the food had left the restaurant at the original time stated of 18:35 but for some unknown reason it took nearly an hour to be delivered

Quality food, great service, a lovely evening yet again

Lovely decor and atmosphere and the food was wonderful, the dishes we had were full of meat which was lean. The staff were friendly and happy to recommend and suggest dishes and we were not rushed. Will definitely be going again.

First order was fantastic second order curry was abit dry and free pickle tray was poor! Very small and only 2 very soft popadoms? Rang to ask why only 2 and was told it wasn’t on my order even though the items where free if you spent more than £20! Wont be ordering again!

Lovely food in here. Couldn’t fault it.

Been coming here for a while now and it is always so nice to come. Our starters were really good and our mains were great. I am gutted, however that I couldn’t finish it all. The staff are not only friendly and helpful, but you have a great laugh with them. My only complaint is that the walls are in need of a repaint as they are scuffed up and a little worn. But other than that the atmosphere is great, the staff are great and the food is delicious… I just wish I stuck around for pudding… 😅

It was my first time here with the family, and I can honestly say it's the best indians I have ever had, and I have had many . Their menu choice has so much to pick from, and not just the standard curry's they all do, this one has dishes I have never heard of . We all chose different dishes but all with lamb, which was cooked perfectly, so tender it melted in your mouth 10 out of 10

Great order as usual. Portion size of the king prawn main could have been larger, but chicken dishes and sides generous.

My 1st order from here, arrived early which is always a bonus, very pleasant and friendly delivery driver which makes a massive difference, beautiful hot tasty food and very good quality, this definitely won't be my last order, would highly recommend, thank you 😊

Absolutely terrible, ordered chicken tikka massala & chicken chilli balti... never again, if I could leave 0 stars I would, the chicken tikka massala was in like a bitty tomato paste, chucked it straight in the bin never tasted such a horrible curry ever! Definitely do not recommend

Fab food, quick delivery and super tasty. I added to notes to Call me on arrival as have a small baby in bed which they didn’t but other than that was perfect!

Our first time here and a last minute choice, we were so glad we decided to pop in! The staff were so friendly and all the food was spot on. I can’t believe I’ve not been here before as I live locally but this will definitely be my go to.

Great place foods really nice and well portioned, lacks a little heat sometimes where it's supposed to be a bit spicy but that's ok it's catering for it's crowd. Staff are ace.

Horrendously bad customer service. Staff have got a serious attitude problem. We booked a table for 20 online for yesterday at 8pm and gave the restaurant a weeks notice. We all arrived between 7.45pm and 7.55pm and we're asked to take a seat in the waiting area. It got to 8.20pm and we still hadn't been taken to our table so I enquired with a member of staff how much longer we would be waiting, I was told 30 to 40 minutes. I told said member of staff that we weren't very happy with this as the table was booked for 8pm and we had all arrived in good time to which the member of staff replied "it's up to you if you don't want to eat..". Upon returning to our group to tell them what had been said we heard the same member of staff shout to his colleague across the bar that we were being unreasonable and that they "don't want customers like that". On hearing this the majority of our group walked out of the restaurant. 2 members of staff then approached myself and another member of our party and started talking at us in a very irate manner saying that they would get us a table in 20 minutes to which we replied no thanks, the damage had already been done and we would not be returning. So we managed to ring round and find another restaurant which could accommodate us and spent our circa £800 there instead, and a very nice meal it was too.

Three corp mammoths waded in last night hell bent on lamb chops which did not disappoint. Liver tikka starter also 100% satisfactory. Chicken shaslik and spiced fish fingers in the mixed GOUGH starter also DELIVERED. Massive squad of waiters extremely friendly and attentive and didn’t hang about with the trolleys. Even asked if we were ready for our trolley. Zero qualms on order size or phaal side request. Phaal could’ve been hotter, final bill suggests it was vindaloo only, leaving corp feeling mugged off of real heat. Although tbf it did scratch the throat in a good way. After a big push on mains corp instructed main waiter we were having a breather. Debutant waiter shortly followed up asking if we’d finished only to be swiftly hooked off and chastised by previous waiter explaining orders had been issued and do not hassle the mammoths. Another waiter who appeared fairly senior (although not as senior as the old big cheese who patrolled the floor maintaining standards with a constant frown) then discreetly whispered an offer of complementary aperitifs so has not to let neighbouring table hear. Toilets were spicy and span a real step up from Rupali tbf. Hard to find fault with the food or service, only low points were: -We’ve had better naan bread tbf -Gough wasn’t there -waiter had clearly never even heard of Gough when asked where he was Still a solid 10 on 10 will definitely be back.

One of the curries had no taste, was quite oily and didn't get eaten. The Biriani was delicious. Lots of poppadoms and liked the choice of pickle tray. Starters were nice!

Not unreasonable... one would think. The gentleman who picked the phone up was the rudest individual I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. He interrupted me immediately, and talked over me at every possible opportunity, when I was simply asking for clarification. There was no apology for the fact that their system had apparently not been working: "the plugs have gone off", and therefore they had supposedly not received the order. The tone was IMMEDIATELY combative and hostile. He put the phone down on me twice, and our conversation (which lasted a total of three minutes) included such delights as "I am talking to a brick here" and "I don't need to speak to you". Not the finest graduate of the school of customer service. On my final attempt, a different gentleman picked up, who refused to give his name, stating "I know my legal rights, I don't have to give that to you because someone might abuse me". Irony abounds. Gentleman 1 remained in the background, hurling insults. I have let them know that I am writing this review and would not recommend the establishment. It's a real shame as we've had some lovely meals from the place in the past. The food is good. Though I daresay that based on the venom put my way this evening, I shan't risk the likely "contamination" if I were to try and order again.

Ordered two curry’s that both came cold. One was dry as a bone and was literally half a portion.

Always absolutely beautiful, tasty and hot food. The delivery driver is lovely and polite even though we are a bit of a way out they deliver on time, every time!

Thank you for the free Bombay potatoes. Great food and cooking instructions followed well all the time. Really good quality. Driver needs to learn how to follow Google maps however.
