Has to be one of the cheeriest and tastiest places to get a top coffee and pastry. Just eaten a sausage roll like no over. Absolutely smashed it. Whenever in south London I make a bee line and enjoy a decadent snack and always without fail take away with me a loaf of their incredible dough dough. Out of this world and never found a bread to beat it.

I had just come from the hospital where I had received bad news so was not really in a very good mood. I went in to order an oat milk cappuccino and a cookie. There was a blonde lady working who was very snappy with me, then when asked me if I wanted chocolate sprinkled on top, to which I nodded. She then proceeded to say “please, please, please” a number of times. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left. Awful service this woman should be fired or given some lessons in communicating with adult customers. I felt very patronised and very upset.

This is an unassuming place with a few tables outside but no cover or heating. It is part delicatessen and part cafe selling excellent bread and a small but interesting range of up market food. I can certainly recommend the Bavarian Cheesecake which was fantastic although the onion flan could do with more taste. Two coffees, slice of cake and same flan came to around £20 so it is not cheap.

Christopher's is a lovely little cafe in Herne Hill. The pain au chocolats are delicious and they do great coffee too! They're also offering fresh fruit and veg at the moment, which is a great addition and always really well stocked.

Christopher's hace el mejor pan de pan de la zona por una milla. También vende mi mermelada de grosella negra favorita. No es barato pero es muy bueno.

This place is like an extension of our home...we visit all the time. Delicious coffee and the BEST croissants (and jam) in London...maybe the UK...maybe even the world!! Lovely relaxed atmosphere and we love the alfresco seating. Highly recommend.

Had a gluten free oat flapjack and flour free chocolate cafe and coffees. Whilst I thought expensive they were the best I’ve tasted and certainly worth every penny. We also brought a sour dough loaf to take home. Lovely

Popped in for a drink with my Grandson. Had hot chocolates and shared a choc & raspberry brownie. All good service was okay in a sense that I placed my order at the till. Must say the brownie was excellent. Had an enjoyable visit.

Great meal and service we arrived early evening so it wasn’t too busy, but the service and quality of our meal was brilliant. Deserts were good too. No complaints

The avocado on toast was delicious and my sister enjoyed her lunch (toasted sandwich) too. The staff are friendly enough and the cafe has a nice atmosphere however it could do with modernising especially with the relatively high prices. Worth a visit for coffee or lunch if you’re in the area!

quite a pretentious little café, the staff are that young (awkward age), unfriendly (no smiles at all) and seemingly stepping on each others toes. The coffee was nothing special, the sourdough too hard and quite tasteless. a smile goes a long way.....I wont be venturing off the beaten track for this café again.

Went today to get a takeaway sandwich so I just saw this went I arrived home. What is that?! Dry bread with holes, barely any ingredients. How they are ok with selling this? Terrible and very expensive. Staff are pretty arrogant as well.

Brilliant bakery but a bit pricey! How do you distinguish between Dulwich sourdough bread and Herne Hill sourdough bread! Christopher's is in Herne Hill!

I absolutely love this cafe. It's definitely the best in Herne Hill and worth the walk down from the station. The pain au chocolats are to die for! One of these a morning with my coffee (a choice of blends! Who else does that?! It's great) and I'm ready for the day! The staff are always super friendly and happy to help. Lauren is a gift sent from above and is always her smiley and bubbly self. The cafe seems to be run really well as well, and I believe the tall man in bakers whites is the famous Christopher that we have to thank for everything. It's nice to have a regular place to relax and somewhere where I know I can count on good service and products every time! It often feels like I'm there every day.

This used to be my favourite place in the area. Bread is top quality and made with real pride. Menu is perfect for a weekend brunch - simple, great ingredients (with the only exception that they strangely use streaky bacon for their bacon sandwiches) and...

Coffee and brownie for takeaway. To be fair the coffee (Monmouth) tastes ok and the brownie is pretty sensational, but tastes like a subcontracted baker has been involved as identical to every other independent coffee shop. Service odd though. Teenage guy on till, not able...

Beer bread. Yes, beer bread. Sourdough. Croissants. Strong espresso. I walked in here as I has time to kill in the area. Grabbed a quick coffee, had a butter croissant and was mightily impressed with the quality. I left buying too much bread and can't...

nice little cake shop offering rainbow cakes which are eggless. There are so many cakes so it is hard to decide which one to get.
