Absolutely shocking service Called at 18:29pm and was told an hour for delivery to end up waiting until 20:27 to be told by the delivery driver that a car broke down which caused delay. Okay great excuse but at least let your customers know that are awaiting delivery 90% of the order was partially warm and the other 10% complete stale. The family have been using chopstix for years now and unfortunately this will be the last time This should be renamed to chopshit Other than that enjoy your year we will now be going to kingsfurlong Chinese a company that valves there customers. £48.20 a complete waste of money

Food always great. Only issue this time was the curry sauce. It was so hot & bright orange I couldn’t eat it, shame really cause it has such a great taste but just way to hot to eat

Absolutely shocking service, ordered food at 10am on NYE for a 7pm arrival and they message at 6.45pm saying order has been cancelled. Now we've got friends over without any food and have to wait 5 days for a refund.

An hour late and honestly awful food. Flavourless and runny and the egg fried rice was the saddest I've ever seen. The rice was clearly microwavable as there were still hard bits in it and there was barely any egg at all! The prawn toast had never seen a prawn in it's existence, it was basically fried bread with sesame seeds and the oil was clearly old. Would not recommend. Response to owner post: Well aware of which one you are, I made sure to post my review on the correct one. My partner ordered the food hence you won't find my name on your orders.

We had the mongolian crispy lamb and for £13.50 had a few pieces of bone in it and some grissle. Put wife off. Chips more on the overdone side and meal cold despite not much travel time. Been using for a while but quality has been getting worse

Ordered Chicken Chow Mein, no salt at all and extremely bad taste with too much of sauce and oil. Also, it doesn't looks like chicken but some cheap alternative meat like Pork, called and complained it to the lady owner but she was very rude and asked better to try ordering from any other takeaway restaurant next time, such a pathetic customer service from a irresponsible owner, entire parcel went to the bin finally which is the best place it deserves. Even if you ordered there by mistake, please check the meat they use before you eat. I have read from the previous reviews that a lot of people in Basingstoke end up hospitalized due to food poisoning & vomiting after eating the food from here. Please avoid this pathetic Chinese takeaway at all cost.

Really lovely food and service, great taste! Only disappointment was I ordered duck and plum and had duck and pineapple delivered. Not what I was looking for but still tasty.

Always very good. An update on my last review, about the fortune cookie. It was delivered completely flat & had no fortune in it. Chopstixs completely redeemed themselves. Arrived steaming hot which was lovely. Salt and pepper chips were great, chow mein bland, quality of the chicken quite poor, satay sauce very gloopy, schezwan sauce was nice, prawn toast very greasy with not much prawn. Bit mixed but we would order some of the dishes again.

Estimate delivery time before placing the order 15-30mins after the order this shot up to 30-70mins and delivered after 75mins. Be honest about delivery times upfront please.

Had hit and miss with this place recently. Good that the driver called for final directions but the contents of the bag was mixed up and there was fish that had leaked out and my wife has an allergy, and now not feeling well at all, Plus the chicken balls were pink on the inside and very stodgy…. A nice meal ruined… will probably look elsewhere for my next Chinese.

My husband said it’s the best Chinese he has had in Basingstoke in years. The food was all delicious. Although the delivery charge seems a lot the quality of the food made up for it. This will be our new go to Chinese in the future

Had to wait about 15 mins , because no noodles ready. Then, found they had run out of sweet and sour chicken, so had to choose alternative main. Server dumped the mains at the sides/ serving area & after that we were totally ignored. For some reason, they served later customers ahead of us & several takeaway (just eat type) customers. Occasionally, the young lady serving sides & drinks picked up our boxes & then puts them down again & seemed to deliberately avoid eye contact, to avoid serving us. Maybe some inter staff demarcation dispute?! Anyway food was obviously now cold & ,calling out ouldn't get response from anyone so left. Nobody attempted to stop us. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! Went there last week (for first time). Again, did not have the side my wife wanted (spring rolls) & just proceeded to check out my order without letting me order a side (what is wrong with these people?). Would also point out that, on that first occasion, drinks were at least 59% ice. A lot of staff working very fast failing to serve a relatively small number of customers. Maybe they will get better over time but, until they can sort themselves out, twice was enough for us.

Food was supposed to be delivered by 8:05. App said it had been delivered. When called just kept saying driver on his way but with no time or information. Then got a message saying new delivery time was 45 minutes later. If they were busy as they suggested add more time on the delivery time originally. Terrible service

Not happy with the delivery time as set a specific time for delivery I ordered at 1730 and had delivery at 1950. Not very impressed

Whilst the staff were polite and doing the best they could, I did feel for those cooking as the kitchen layout doesn’t lend itself to helping the cooks having to keep walking behind those serving for ingredients! This made the service much slower than it really should be with such a small menu. The food really did feel like something you’d get at a motorway service station, heavy, and stodgy and very small portions. Won’t be heading back anytime soon.

Yummy food at a reasonable price. I'm glad a chopstix has opened in Basingstoke- I've not had it since I was a student at Cardiff University! My daughter enjoyed the caramel chicken with egg fried rice with some mini chicken balls too.
