Fantastic Food and service highly recommend

Great food is served here and very tasty. The reception probably needs some sort of entertainment like a TV to watch while waiting for food, and maybe a bit of brightening up a little. But generally very good indeed.

I visited chilli indian last night and i ordered naan, curry, paratha and papdam. I was so amazed by the food they served. It was delicious and good friendly staff as well. I would highly recommend to visit if you are around oxford.

Best madras I've had in ages. Really good sized and quality cuts of meat, generous portions too. Gave us a complimentary vegetarian side which was delicious. Paratha was top quality too. Additionally, very quick service and friendly staff. Would recommend!

I have had many meals from here all lovely last night my food came only ate half as it tasted funny I then spent 10 hours throwing up and diarrhea very pain full stomche pains I have been in bed all day

I’ve lived locally for 13 years and to be honest I’ve never had a bad dish yet, I like to order once a month as treat and I have done so for the past 7 years, the staff are lovely, and so are the dishes, would definitely recommend.

Recommend by a friend and had to drive from Abingdon to pick it up the food was excellent well worth the drive

We have just had a takeaway firstly they got our order wrong and everything was disgusting the sauce on both meals was like tasteless disgusting water that left a horrible after taste. The free dish was thrown away the smell was awful in fact we threw almost all of it in the bin we will not be going there again extremely poor

We had the most outstanding food - the best prawn puree I've ever tasted - full of flavour and spice. Will definitely only order from here in future.

Ordered this meal in good faith, my son wanted fried chicken and chips, fair enough it's not going to be to KFC standard, but......fries not too bad, chicken was served in a container with onions and peas, dry uncoated.... AWFUL Sorry but take this item as worded off of the menu, should be re-named dry chicken with onions and peas So unhappy! Customer service wouldn't refund Do not use this company

I ordered on just eat. Delivery was prompt, however I had ordered a butter chicken and was sent a chicken korma, I rang and questioned it and was told a butter chicken has coconut and is sweet. The chicken tikka was also sweet and it felt as though they had seasoned it with sugar instead of salt. The naan was amazing as was the saag aloo which was a bonus dish I wasn’t expecting! (A lovely surprise) I was very confused as I have ordered from here many times. The customer service when I questioned the dish I was delivered was very strange as it was almost as if they didn’t know how to reply. I felt as though they had run out of the dish and sent a replacement. And wasn’t expecting to be questioned on it

Went to chillies tonight , first time in five years , last time disgusting! This time , worse!! Thought maybe it would have improved over the years , but it’s got worse! Cheap ingredients and very poor food

Had to wait 20 minutes and it came out cold and the attitude from the staff was terrible absolutely disgusting lucky to get one star

There a a few good Indian take aways in Oxford, we are fortunate. However chillies stands out by a mile it is absolutely the best in Oxford. So tasty. Lovely delivery driver too.

Best Indian takeaway we've had in Abingdon/Oxford area - the only place where I have liked their vegetable stuffed paratha and chicken tikka masala!

Those who know the original taste of Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine, this is one of the worst, EVER! It is very difficult to cook something worse than this, even if you don't have any experience of cooking. It is really, really, bad! Please don't judge Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine with this. Even casaully cooked foods are far, far, better than this. It is frankly a disgrace to Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine!

Don't be fooled by the price it all makes up with the food quality because it was grate!

Absolutely delicious, each dish has been unique and tasty and the delivery is incredibly fast! So glad this is my local Indian take away, highly recommend!

Staff are friendly ..delivery usually before time said .. no faults or complaints with any food received.. all tastes gooooood 🙂

I don't usually eat Indian food but thought, with COVID lockdown, I'd try this takeaway, located nearby, but ordered directly by 'phone (it's also on Just Eat). The food was ordered early this evening (Wednesday) and was delivered well ahead of the 45 minutes promised - truly excellent service. All the items were delicious and the portion sizes generous. I will certainly buy again from Chillies!

Brilliant food and great service

Food arrived in 20 minutes which was good and the delivery driver was friendly. Couldn't help think how they cooked it so quick. Food was brilliant but very pricey, not sure if thats because us northerners aren't used to southern pricing though. Ordered a Lamb Saag which wasn't in the menu but they acomondated my order. The garlic sauce on the pickle tray needs changing to a more traditional Raita as it wasnt nice. All in all happy with the food.

Love the food from Chillies! Have lived locally for 5 years and I've not had a bad order yet. The quality of the meat in the dishes is always good and the portion sizes are just right. Every now and again they will add on a free side dish (just wish they would tell us what it is so we could order it next time if we liked it).

I ordered a meal last night and it was very poor my husband and my self was ill . Normally it is very good won’t be ordering again ..

Been going here since it opened and never failed to deliver a great meal, always give a little freebie and extras when ordering a meal.

Usually order from cafe spice but thought wed branch out and give some other indian restaurants a go and I was not impressed at all so unfortunately will be going back to my local. I found my curry a bit gritty and few bits of chicken was rather chewy. We called back up and asked for a cheese nann as the once we received was plain and tasteless they didnt want to send another out but did and again next too no cheese :/. 2 stars only.

We had a takeaway meal last night (Monday) from Chillis and it was the best Indian meal we have had since moving to Oxfordshire 4 years ago. I am Scottish and my partner is French and we both know a thing or two about good food. We had the Malaya curry, Lamb Korma pilau rice and peshwari naan. I am a vegetarian and thankfully my curry was full of fresh vegetables (potato, green beans, squash, peas etc). We declined the offer of poppadoms, however when we got home we were pleasantly surprised that the owner had included free poppadoms, fresh onions and a sample of I think a bombay aloo, which was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal with lots of leftovers for today thankfully. Everything was fresh and the oil used was minimal. It is a 40 minute drive here from where we live but we will definitely venture here again.

Everything we have ordered from their menu has been delicious. The waiting area is really comfortable with leather sofas and the service time is quick. The price and portion size is good, and the free extras are always a lovely surprise.

Sauces are bland and the chicken chewy. Order via justeat was 25 mins late and not very hot. Very oily.

Tasty food and delivery on time although it was a friday evening. I would only say the food its a bit too oily for my taste, and the korma chicken had way too much coconut, overpowering to the point you could not taste anything else, other that that everything was tasty.

One of the best vindaloo i have ever taste. Really spicy how it suppose to be. Always great portion and some extra bits. 🤩

I would of put no stars if I could. Food has made me and my partner ill. Deliver was very late manger was no help and rude. Wrong items again for the food won’t be going back I would advise not to go there.

So delivery took nearly hour and a half and when the food came one of the items was incorrect. When calling back they said it would take the same time for the food to come. Wouldn’t refund for the food. After telling them it won’t be touched It’s a joke this is not the 1st time now. Happened more than once but I thought I would give it another go but yet again let down!!!!

After calling up the manager he was no help at all after food being really late and wrong!! Won't be going back

Great takeaway! We opted for the set menu for two and was surprised at the amount of food we received. All very tasty. Arrived promptly and wasn’t swimming in grease like some other takeaways. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a take away tonight it was awful, onion bhajee not cooked in the middle, chicken dry, curry tasteless. Live around the corner but have to order from cowley road, how this place is still a going concern is beyond me.

I have ordered a collection,Food was really Smelly, I phoned them back they were very rude they said they are busy they can’t re-deliver it I won’t recommed them to anyone Totally waste of money !!!

I love chillis . I am their regular customer for home or delivery at work and OMG customer service is judt 5 star and food is just amazing . Best Indian restaurant ever even better than the one in Knightsbridge London . Carry on the good work .

We often get a take away from here and have never had a bad meal. Staff are always polite and friendly. The portions are always adequate and are always full of flavour.

Had another takeaway from Chillies tonight. Chose to pick up so got 10% discount. Warm welcome and they gave my daughter a sweet which was a nice touch. Food ready on time. When we got home I saw they'd given us free poppadoms and a free vegetable side dish. I had chicken Jalfrezi and my wife had Ada Chicken. We also shared a pilau rice and a side of Sag Khoudo (not on the menu but they're always happy to make different dishes on request). All dishes were very tasty and the Ada Chicken top as usual. I will always be happy to recommend Chillies for a takeaway- better food and far better price than the Cowley Road!

Although the food was nice, it was most definitely not cooked fresh that day! Disappointing and unexpected at the prices they charge. I wouldnt order from here again or recommend.

Ordered Chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, garlic nan, the tikka masala was as dark as he ace of spades, the lamb dish had three pieces of meat in with twelve bits of tomatoes and sixteen slices of mixed peppers with it flowing over the top with grease and the garlic Nan was a plan Nan with garlic herbs sprinkled on it.When ringing up to question this the owner said that the tikka was that dark because they were cutting down on the colours and that is supposed to be dark as it was the law they are not allowed to make it with the red colouring, the lamb dish only has 8-10 bits of lamb In it with a few vegetables, and the Nan was made very garlicky. After a while the owner said that he would redo our food the way we wanted it. When the food turned back up the lamb dish only had five bits of meat in with double the amount of vegetables in it, and the tikka was so red I had to get the sunglasses out. As it was getting late I gave up ringing back up, ended up chucking the food away, food was very disappointing dissatisfiing and discusting won't be going back there.

The food was extremely tasty and very authentic! The size of the dishes were great and they were cost efficient, they even gave us some freebies which was very kind! :) Would highly recommend, I will be ordering again for sure!

Just having chicken biryani, chicken chat & chicken tikka. I think they should change the restaurant name to crappies. No salt n flavour in biryani. Blunt chicken tikka n chat. Only thing we liked is salad onions. Why don't they dare to call themselves as Bangladeshi restaurant rather than calling Indian. I think they have seen these Indian food, but might have not tasted.

My wife and I had another takeaway from here for our anniversary. We always choose Chillies as our takeaway and will never go anywhere different. The food is always excellent and this was no different. Tikka Ponir perfectly cooked, Ada Chicken so full of flavour and tender, Khoudo with beautiful pumpkin and the Tarka Dhal the best I've had (and I've had hundreds and hundreds of Indian meals!) we were given a free dish for our anniversary which was such a kind gesture and chose chicken chat again so beautifully spiced. A wonderful meal, so much better than the restaurants on the Cowley Road and better priced too! Why go anywhere else?

I am a self confessed Curry-a-holic and love to cook Indian food from scratch. I also eat out in Indian restaurants on a regular basis so understand what is good, great, average and poor. Chillies is an excellent takeaway. The flavour in their food is excellent, showing care and attention from their team and a love for cooking quality food. We order from Chillies on a regular basis, I am always recognised when I phone our order in and am made to feel very welcome when I collect our food. The pricing is very fair and the team always put an extra in our bag which is very kind. They are also happy to create an item off the menu eg Channa Sag. Quite simply, there are many many takeaways around in the area eg on the Cowley Road, but Chillies is head and shoulders above the rest, including much more expensive restaurants. Try Chillies and you will not look back!

Delicious freshly cooked food. Lovely staff, they always add a free dish of vegetable curry and poppadoms to our order. Delivery can be slow out to our village so I tend to collect.

I've ordered from Chillies on several occasions and every time the food is outstanding. They always put something extra in the bag you just don't know what it is until you get it that's how I came to order the bombay potatoes whenever I get an order. Highly recommend this takeaway.

Chillies is a take away only, food is lovely, portion size is good food is always delicious. I haven't had a bad take away yet! Would highly recommend.
