I recently stumbled across the United Services Club in Cheltenham town centre, up the road from Boots. It was a Sunday and we were looking for a good Sunday Roast. The banner outside drew us in and we would like to say how fantastic the food was. There was plenty of choice, Turkey, Gammon, Pork with Crackling and lovely Beef. What impressed us the most, however, was the lovely home-made yorkshire puddings and stuffing and proper gravy. This is certainly a rarity in this day and age. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our meal. I must admit it was a very pleasant surprise and at £6.50 great for the pocket. If you have room, try one of the desserts, there is always something home-made on offer. I had the home-made Rhubarb crumble, delicious.

The pub itself is stunning with its open fires and stone walls. Staff very helpful and polite. Room a little dated but had everything we needed very comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely we had it included but if you dont its only £12 for anything you like off the menu pastries muffins also includes tea coffee orange juice cereal (refills) absolute bargain. Beautiful surroundings and views. Would definitely stay here again.

Arrived for lunch 12.10 19/12/24. Busyish, wanted fish and chips but NO cod!!! My brother in law wanted gammon and egg but No eggs!! Had tikka masala, rice no longer in dish just heaped on plate, nearly cold, curry Luke warm at best, really didn't enjoy it at all. Went to gents, one urinal completely blocked, full of urine, not particularly clean!! Won't be visiting here again, you get what you pay for!!

The location of this pub is good but there's hardly any parking and the food is absolutely awful. I understand that it is a Greene King pub not a gourmet pub but you still expect a bit better food. I ordered jerk chicken dumplings and they were all dry, slightly uncooked, barely warm, no sauce and very dry. Not edible. And they topped it up with "salad" which consisted of around 10 wilted rocket leaves. Absolutely awful.

We go with my parents there regularly. They like the food, and it is easy for them to access the building and get a table. The staff are friendly and polite, there is a reasonable choice of meals at an affordable price. They always have at least one ale on the tap. Today we were served by Marty and Nikita.
