Chaplin is no longer what it once was. Damage.

The food was amazing and absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable. The service though was somehow even more impressive than the aforementioned food and prices as Simona provided one of the most delightful service experiences ever. She was super lovely and friendly. Highly recommend coming here.

On the first morning of our stay in Dover , we came across Chaplins, the moment we went in we felt very welcomed , the food was lovely , the coffee tasted great, we went all 3 mornings we were there for breakfast , I highly recommend to all , if in Dover again we will definitely go there .absolutely lovely people .

Very tasty English breakfast which was served quickly and friendly. The prices are good and so are the portions.

We love Chaplins and visit anytime we are in Dover. The food and service is always the best! We love the English breakfast and scones.

We regularly go to Chaplins for a roast on a Sunday - it never disappoints! More recently we are greeted at the door with ‘do you want your usual’ …. which is great! The service is great, the food is great and it’s very reasonably priced!

This Restaurant is excellent the best I’ve been to. Amazing food, milk shake to die for. wonderful customer service. Very clean, toilets actually had toilet roll and soap. I highly recommend. It really is that good👍🏻

I had an incredible breakfast experience at Chaplin’s Restaurant in Dover. The regular breakfast was outstanding, with perfect portions that left me completely satisfied. The black coffee was rich and flavorful, complementing the meal perfectly. The highlight, however, was the excellent service from the chef, who ensured everything was just right. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great start to their day!

Another delicious roast at Chaplin's on Tuesday 12th December,I had lamb,my wife had chicken,shared a crumble for pudding,too full for one each,have booked Christmas menu for Sunday ,love this place ! 😋😋

Food, service and atmosphere was really good.

Stop by this great place to grab breakfast in Dover! The food was affordable and tasty. The all-day breakfast selection is varied, with vegetarian options as well as the ability to order a sandwich or a full breakfast. The waitstaff and chef are very friendly and quick to chat if you're in the mood. The restaurant is decorated in lots of Charlie Chaplin paraphernalia and memorabilia, from figurines to pictures to a hate & cane combo. Location-wise, it is walkable to most sights in Dover and the train (10 min. walk).

Lovely place with good vibe. We had regular breakfast and vegetarian breakfast, both lovely and nicely served. We definitely recommend this little café.

Always good food here, my wife Always has a roast but I prefer either a all day breakfast or a baked potato. We usually finish up with either a Strawberry sundae or sticky toffee pudding and custard. Very good service the chef always has a cheerful word for us. Highly recommended.

Went here for breakfast, glad we did. The food quality was excellent. I had the regular breakfast which was a fair size, especially for the price. The food was served nice and hot and cooked fresh, so a small wait. It was my first visit to Chaplins in some time and after the food I had, it won't be my last.

Living in Deal, I often come to Dover and started coming here about a year ago. Run by husband and wife..obviously many regulars and they seem pleased to see everyone..a very welcoming atmosphere. Excellent cafe food, well priced. Today I had a large bowl of really good vegetable soup..obviously home made. It’s a pleasure to visit !

A very friendly welcome awaits you in this pleasant medium size café. Very good coffee here. Full English breakfast with everything you expect, very precisely cooked and well plated. Fine sausages and eggs beautifully done. Omelette with cheese, mushroom and bacon was superb. Omelettes are not easy to do well but the chef in Chaplains has the knack. We also enjoyed a toasted tea cake and jam, fresh butter and quality jam. We also had toast and marmalade. Great bread beautiful marmalade. Made to feel welcome on our first visit will be back here again and soon!

We had a lovely breakfast. The staff are so pleasant and the food is good and reasonably priced. Chaplains is centrally located. Very popular among the seniors. Would recommend.

Food absolutely fantastic it was clean and served as I wanted it I had scrambled eggs and I like my bacon crisp plus toast first class the waitress was so polite and friendly and helpful supportive all the time nothing was to much trouble for her the food was hot .now she was serving 10 people all received the food within 1 minute of each other not one complaint I left a good tip for the young lady well done .thank you you deserve a 5 star plus rating thanks again .if you are in Dover go to Chaplins FANTASTIC.

This cafe is run by a very hard working team. Possibly a family affair. The product and the service tell you that they really care and are motivated to succeed. All the best to them I say! Second time now I've taken my parents there when I visit them in Dover. It certainly won't be the last.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice atmosphere

Dined in chaplins again today ( last time was before the lock down) and food is still amaxing. We are staying at Premier Inn in Dover where the table Table restaurant food is appalling. We walked over to.Chaplins hoping to find them.open ..we had home cooked fresh food. All the staff are so friendly and polite .We had the homemade steak pie and chicken roast dinner .Both our dinners was full.of flavour and plates packed with fresh vegetables. .we then had Apple pie and ice cream and fruit crumble and ice cream .........amazing 😋 The cafe was so clean and tidy .The young lady waitress was so sweet and made us feel very welcome .All the staff are very hard working. We spoke with the young man who cooked all the homemade delicious food he talked so.passionately about his cooking and food in this amazing little cafe ❤ so nice to be able to eat fresh home cooked food .. Chaplins and all.its staff are all.award winners to us ... only thing we wished was Chaplins was open abit later .😁👍 WELL DONE CHAPLINS 💯🥰

A lovely restaurant situated near the church in Dover town centre. Quiet environment very clean. Helpful waitress who very efficient and helpful. The food was excellent we had a breakfast and alternative ingredient was available if there was something you didn’t want. Well cooked presented lovely. Highly recommended

Excellent Sunday roast,we had lamb and chicken ,both delicious,followed by fruit crumble and apple pie,both with custard, they do smaller desserts at a reduced price which is a good idea, couldn't have managed a larger one after our roasts, highly recommended!

I had brunch there with two chums this week and what a lovely experience. Full veggie options - my chum had a big veggie breakfast and it was superb - and a proper traditional yet interesting menu. And the people were really lovely, warm, friendly, helpful. The chef even made me an extra egg as the yolk on the first one broke...they were delightful. The food was perfect. Coffee hot, strong and quick! I recommend it absolutely. Will be going back.

Its a central well run cafe / Restaurant in market Square. Food is well prepared, first class service.

This place has just not changed, from going there as a small boy for a treat after shopping over 50 years ago it has been maintained excellently without losing any of it great service and good basic grub

We've been to many places for breakfast and hotels across the world..nobody has come close to the full English you get in Chaplin's Cafe in Dover. I have the regular, hubby has the large. Absolutely delicious & the fried bread is second to none. You must try it! Owner & Staff are efficient and friendly & always a happy atmosphere. Does a varied menu & their roasts & puddings are really delicious too.

Popped in for some breakfast.very friendly, tasty breakfast and for a very reasonable price. I have been to a lot of the cafes in Dover and in my opinion unless you want to be shelling out in excess of £15 for breakfast this place can't be beaten.

Always friendly and helpful and really nice food .Always hot and very tasty.

We always lunch here after a visit to nearby cinema for Sunday lunch & today was the 1st time we had been able to eat there since lockdown & I'm happy to the food is just as good as its always been. I did book day before to make sure we could get in & just as well because they have had to remove about 10 covers due to current restrictions. As most of their regular customers are mature(& dont have smart phones) they haven't got the QR code but use a book to record customers details & I was pleased to see the pen was sanitised before & after use.
