Without looking at the menu I ordered a meze plate with olives and bread to take away, It tasted fresh and tasty. Will order again.

DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible food, hidden prices, owners are extremely rude. Would not recommend at all. My biggest regret is agreeing to pay for the awful experience.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. Appalling quality for an overpriced meal. Not only were prices not on the menu, but charged us extra for sauce without telling us, we were the only people in the restaurant and yet they still repeatedly got both our orders wrong and brought them at different times. The room was freezing cold, we had to wear jackets. When my partner asked for a discount considering the numerous problems with our order, they refused, didn't apologise once, and aggressively insulted us many times, telling me my partner is difficult and that I should break up with him!!! Worst valentines day ever.

I was looking forward to having this dinner with a group of friends but what a disappointment. The mixed starter was great, the mixed chicken shawarma was too salty. Both dishes arrived after a long time and the fries were slightly cold. Unfortunately the worst part was that when the bill came and I told the restaurant manager that the price shown on the menu for the starter was lower we had an argument and he eventually said that if I didn't pay the higher price someone else in my group would have to. I find that disrespectful considering that the error was on their menu (the price for the starter was not amended on the menu I got and even when I showed that to the manager the argument continued). Assuming I'm not going bankrupt for £5 extra charge and neither is the restaurant, a good customer service would have made a good impression on me and others. For this reason, the slow service and salt complaints within our group I won't recommend the place. There are other Lebanese restaurants nearby with fresh, tasty dishes and friendly staff.

Meet up with friends here tonight. Ambience was neutral. The could do with playing some upbeat music. The service wasn't great and waiter mixed up the order. They had only 3 types of cocktails, so not a lot of options. It appears that there might be only one chef on duty as the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen. The flavour was hit and miss. Many of the starters were tasty while the mains had issues with some. The lamb chops was overcooked and burnt. The fries were salty. Portion size was decent. Prices were reasonable. I think chef was overwhelmed with the orders from a large table, so food quality might be better if table was smaller.

Checked out Ceders, the Lebanese spot, and it’s quite the experience. They’ve got a mix of hard and soft drinks to choose from, hitting the spot. Now, fair warning, the bathrooms need a bit of extra care in the cleanliness department. Let’s dive into the good stuff – their chicken is a taste bud triumph, truly delicious. The hummus and falafel also hold their own in the flavor game. Downstairs has a few tables, but the real vibe is upstairs, creating a cozy atmosphere. Props to them for serving water in fancy bottles, adding a touch of class. Despite the bathroom situation, Ceders delivers a savory Lebanese feast with a charming ambiance.

I've been coming here for some time and the food never disappoints, great authentic Lebanese cuisine- staff are friendly and efficient and the place is very clean. Definitely recommend it!

It is a great local restaurant with fantastic food. Ordered a selection of hot and cold mezzes, 8 dishes between 6 of us. All were well presented and tasted wonderful. Thoroughly recommend this place, especially if you're going to the footie or rugby and fancy some decent food. Staff are friendly and very helpful in helping choose dishes. A definite must if you're up this neck of the woods.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Food was excellent, service was fantastic and the price was superb. We went with the dish of the day, moussaka, and ice cream for desert. Thanks for making my 40th very memorable 😀

A lovely little restaurant, with nice decor and ambiance. First time for me and my family trying Lebanese cuisine which we all very much enjoyed particularly the lamb. Wide menu selection with generous portion sizes and friendly staff. Parking was the only issue as it took me about ten minutes to find a spot not to far. Will definitely be returning.

Always welcoming...tasty food, great choices with more then enough to eat....comfortably cosy and spacious at the same time. Great view out of big picture window as the evening darkens and lights sparkle !

We shared the mezze started and had baby chicken and the mixed shawarma and all were really tasty. Nice range of drinks, including the Lebanese wine and beer but most importantly the host was friendly, helpful with food recommendations and called a taxi for us when we were ill equipped in a downpour and with 2 dead mobile batteries. Had a really nice relaxed mid week meal and would certainly return and recommend, thank you!

*BEWARE* Every dish served here is a ready-made item found at Yours Supermarket. The Hummus, Kebbeh, Falafel, Labneh, Sabousek, Moutabal are all frozen/cold ready made food that the chef reheats. The chef further insults his customers by serving CANNED FOOD (sells them for £4-5). We were served CANNED vine leaves, they were disgusting, he didn't even bother to remove the fat surrounding them, he just cracked a can and placed it on a dish. The chef's "Foul Medames" is also canned.. you can go buy it now.. it's called ""California Garden Fava Beans Lebanese Recipe"".. costs 89p a can. Even the Kebabs are frozen! You can find them at yours Supermarket now. How is this guy still allowed to sell food I don't know.. but what I know is.. Cedars is a microwaving service for ready meals bought from Yours Supermarket, which they sell you for x10 of the retail price. This restaurant and its chef is an insult to middle eastern food. 0 Stars, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

A total hidden gem in Leicester. We had dinner here on a Friday night very last minute and after dining here surprised the place isn’t packed! Great home cooked food. Very authentic. Garlic sauce was amazing. And the host very hospitable. This will be a new regular for us.

Ordered a Cedars Salad, a hot Mezze, and a chicken wrap, arrived in around 25-30 minutes, all at good temperatures. Very tasty overall, all freshMy cooked,... a perfect takeaway with great food, Deffo a recommendation.

This was my first Lebanese meal and it was excellent. We are quite a long way away but the food arrived quite hot. It was very well cooked and the was plenty of it. It was really nice and I will try more from here soon!

We read the good reviews and had a delivery from here. Delivered close to the time expected....opened up and it all looked great.... ....but then the Halloumi sandwich....had a lump of meat *in* it :( Sorry, but that is unacceptable and immediately dropped a possible 4-5* for the lovely vine leaves & other bits - a restaurant simply cannot be serving meat to vegetarians :( That said, the lamb was a bit gristly and chewy. YMMV

Ordered take away online, 2 people. Food aarived cold. 4 small pieces of dry, overcooked land and dry kofta mince. Definitely not worth the money. The restraint sounded interesting. If this is how they advertise their food definitely won't be going.

The food is very very good here - from mezzes to mains. Will be visiting again and again. Very friendly staff too.

A gem of a place. An impromptu dinner out and one of the tastiest we have ever had. We had four mezzos and a salad, all lovely and very reasonably priced. The chickens livers were extraordinary. Really different, with the pomegranate and lemon beautifully balanced. The home marinated olives with orange and lemon and garlic were light and refreshing. We will be going back and taking friends, it’s the sort of place you want to share with folks you know will appreciate it.

I go twice a year to Lebanon and I love Lebanese food, the food in Cedars is the same like in Lebanon amazing .The restaurant first floor and ground floor was fully booked but the lovely waitresses they fixed a table for 6 on the bar area, we have many starters and grills, all food fresh and tasty! The only probleme is parking but we park in Tesco for 2 hours . Definitely we will be back .

We have come here several times and every time it is amazing! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, happy to advise us with food choices.The food arrived quickly and it was delicious!! Very authentic Lebanese cuisine! The food prices were also very good, in fact the food is certainly underpriced.On top of this, the building is beautiful. Lovely architecture with similarly beautiful decor, creates a nice environment visually.I would recommend everyone to dine there, you will not regret it :)

I have eaten at Cedars twice in the last week and would highly recommend the food and friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options and a great variety of flavours.

Came in for breakfast having seen the new breakfast offering on their Instagram page (@cedars_lebanese_leicester) Full Lebanese Breakfast was phenomenal. So delicious and a welcome change from the typical breakfasts available locally. Lovely restaurant, nice ambiance, service was amazing and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try some other breakfast options. Very impressed, thank you!!

As you walk in,the decor is lovely however the restaurant is empty, two minded but decided to try it out as the reviews were pretty decent... The waitress was very good until we got our mains n then she disappeared so we couldn't order our drinks.. the food was great not much i can fault on the food.. would i come back yes onli if there was more atmosphere. You should give it a try get this place busy it deserves that much.. nice surprise with the shisha at the end lol

Wow just wow, if you find yourself in Leicester you need to try this Lebanese restaurant, if you don't know Lebanese food go in and ask for Eugenie, she selected our food last night and it was amazing. Cant say enough about this place need to go back.

First impression of walking in was 4 tables a bar and a stair case and nobody there only staff.so thought ok maybe early as we offered a table at the bottom of the stairs .. unknown to us the restuarant was up the stairs.People come in and where shown upstairs ..So no astomphere as was left on a table in a doorway.Food was nothing special at all.. wasnt asked if everything was ok whilst eating or brought the billSo would not reccomend nor would go back ..SHOCKING ... !!

Our first visit and we definitely hope to eat there again. Four of us had a very enjoyable evening. Really good food, we chose a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. We found the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had reserved a table and sat by the large window upstairs.

Went as a group with one veggie attending, she was a little put out because the veggie options were very limited. The rest of us thought the food was ok our main gripe was the place was cold the two ladies sat and ate with their coats on now you should not have to do that.

Food was good, customer service wasn't the best. Everyone has an off day though. Didn't have a card machine working so check before ordering as they didn't tell us.

If I could give it no stars I would. Absolutely awful restaurant. Got dumped downstairs where it was freezing and filthy.. no cutlery or napkins or any form of life!!! Asked to move upstairs and and it was intact more cold! Was sat in my winter fur coat all evening.. starters came and it was cold.. warmed up and still cold. Then when we moved upstairs was told our mains were delayed as we hadn’t received starters when we had one person from our party received the remains of their starter when the mains came out.. the mains were ALL STONE COLD! and I’m not even joking they were was stone cold. Told the waitress and she shoved her finger in my chicken to check if it was cold!! So unprofessional! When the mains came back it was clear they had just been reheated when we were told we would get fresh new mains.. my baby chicken was burnt and frankly disgusting. Had no flavour and was dry. Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. 2 and a half hours we waited for our mains and even then it was awful. All the staff didn’t seem to care and were running around like headless chickens and was told were understaffed. Well frankly that’s not good enough, people work hard all week for their money and expect to have at least a decent meal and don’t even get that! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!! The restaurant is like faulty towers well infact worse.

This is the second time I've been to Cedars and there definitely won't be a third. Everything is pretty bland, from the naff decor & music to the food which I had to spice up with their tasty hot sauce. Nibbles for 4 were miniscule but then starters and mains were substantial, if a little dull. Service from the younger waitress was friendly; the older lady might like to try a different career. There are quite a few other places in the area I'd recommend before you settle for Cedars.

As visitor first time we'd my wife in lebanese restaurant in leicester we seen it was very busy night but we get in and we seen the place nice and lovely as we'd had drink first in the bar than we recommended our place from the waiters and we had our table we have our drink again Bec there was very busy night we had nice lebanaise bottle red wine and we have our nice started was nice calamari and was very nice juice chicken liver followed by mixed grill we wait but it was worth it I love the place at the end we have free lebanese baklava .service it was slow but was excellent because the place was very busy and the girls there was excellent too soo if you ever in leicester you must give this place try .

Favourite restaurant in Leicester If you want to have a GOOD meal at a reasonable price in Leicester, this is by far the best place. They have Lebanese middle eastern meals,delicious salads and sandwiches.. I love the Fattoush salad, and when Its my favourite place to go to for Mix Grill, and Chicken Chich. And they have Delicious Desserts!!! Yum Highly recommended

Came here as a party of six on a Saturday evening and it was a really underwhelming experience. Not expecting Michelin star stuff but come on. Couldn't even do the basics. Main points:- 40+ minute delay in receiving our mains. - little to zero service or welcoming accommodation by the waitresses. - 3 of 6 mains were incorrect- A salad apparently consists of 14 shreds of lettuce (I counted haha) and a teaspoon of tomato chunks.- The shawarma is odd, definitely not fresh tasting (seemed oven cooked? Was weird)- Manager couldn't have really cared less, was a surly character and said that he knew they were understaffed tonight but didn't think to communicate with his staff or customers.- food in general was average, really nothing special at all. 90% of normal kebab houses do better meat.- given a dessert as compensation but it tasted like soap, was a bit of a joke really. Luckily plenty of other choice for this cuisine in Leicester.

First time at Lebanese restaurant. Palace nice and cosy and welcoming. Staff friendly and provide service with smile. Food was ok . No WoW factor.Food was so simmuler to Turkish Restaurant round corner. I could not tell the difference. They need something more authentic for me to come back.

Cedars is the best place in Leicester for Arabic food. Doesn’t disappoint. If you’re lucky on a weekend may catch the belly dancer. Deliver takeaways promptly. Have to say they are a bit pricey! These are the prices I pay in London!

Been meaning to try this place since it opened here a few months ago, and it's brilliant. Fantastic food. Middle Eastern food is my favourite, but I'd never tried the pickles (kabiss) before (including bright pink turnip slices!), they were delicious. My omnivorous partner enjoyed his kebbeh and we shared several vegan dishes. I thought I made a good mousakaa, but this was superb. Run by a very friendly Lebanese couple. Will definitely be going back.

This isn't the first time i have visited Cedars and each time the service has been great and the food delicious. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you are having a great experience. Will definitely be going back.

The gluten-free tabbouleh starter is divine (and vegetarian). The service was excellent when we were there (24.02.2018). We were particularly helped by the staff in choosing our starters. The main course meats are (mostly) grilled and come as very generous portions. Things seemed to be very healthy. There are definite resemblances to both Turkish and Greek cuisines. Did I mention the Lebanese wine? Wow! For us, a great night out.

I visited Cedars about 2 years ago when it was located in the city centre. I was very disappointed then. Decided to give the restaurant another chance in its new location in Braunstone Gate. Once again, disappointed. Good points first: nice decor, easy to book a table, low price, nice hot coffees at the end of the meal. I also enjoyed the non alcoholic Lebanese fruit beer. So the drinks were fine. But the food was less than impressive. Unimaginatively presented, nothing special in terms of taste. Service not very helpful or friendly. We were quite cold too, even though we were dressed warmly in jumpers etc. If this had been a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary - or even a first date! - I would have been very disappointed. Might be OK to pop in for a quick bite on your way home from work, but even then I think you could find better alternatives. I will not be going to this restaurant again. "Twice bitten, forever shy!"

Cedars is a Bert good place to eat. I ate there last week for lunch and the food was very filling and nice. I recommend this resturant to everyone. Very nice staff and tasty food.

We thought we would try this out as it was new - 3 shared meat platter I had a selection of vegetarian mezze highlight was the special hummus which was a delight, the meat platter was just a heap of unidentifiable animal and the falafel was rock hard and v over cooked - we thought as you do that we would try the Lebanese wine ( which a big mistake and undrinkable)
